X-Fi won't support my speake

I have a Boston Digital BA7500G 4. speakers set that I belei've is digital only. There is a single cable that runs from digital output into my sub (the speakers plug into sub). I just upgraded from an Audigy 2, and before that an old li've! card, both of which I had no problems with. Am I overlooking something or am I going to be forced to buy new speakers...

Hi There.
I jumped straight into the exact same boat. Having a Li've! and then Audigy and Audigy 2. My Boston BA7500G digital speakers (which use the single DIGITAL output cable from the soundcard to the subwoofer which then distributes the sounds to the 4 speakers (2 front/2 rear and the originating subwoofer). Making it a 4. setup.
It isn't a fact of the speakers not working, but simply that the setup of the console to 4.0/4. and the speaker test will only have the front speakers play (when the lady rear rear left, it plays from front left). I havent' been able to get a single squeak out of the rears. And of course the console is set to digital as per an above reply cause i couldn't get sound at all otherwise.
Can i please get an official confirmation that for some reason.. rear speakers are no longer supported if they are setup via a single cable setup from the soundcard to a subwoofer setup? Or is there something else i have missed?
Thankyou.

With Windows 7 Home Premium, whenever I start iTunes, I get a message that colors have been reverted to Windows Basic because iTunes won't support my Windows Aero configuration.  Is there a fix for the incompatibility?  I don't mind the color changes, but I'm having an external speaker problem that could be related to the incompatibility (at random times--usually several hours after start-up, my external speakers--connected via my Samsung Central Station's wireless docking station and computer-installed dongle--shut off and won't play until I restart.  I've investigated other options, but iTunes may be the problem.)  Thanks.

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time?

  • BT usb Dongle won't support headsets?

I just purchased a Motorola PC850 (usb BT adaptor). It's suppose to have A2DP so I thought it would work with my Plantronics 590A. If I check headset in the devices for the BT setup the next screen says "Bluetooth hardware won't support headsets".
But if I check other devices in the BT setup I get the Plantronics in my list of devices but I end up waiting fornever fort the pairing to complete. It just wont pair.

Upon further research I have learned that A2DP is not supported with any OSX 10.4.11. I think using Jack might be as close as I can get.

  • IMac 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7, running Lion 10.7.3, won't recognize external speaker jack, any suggestions?

iMac 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7, running Lion 10.7.3, won't recognize external speaker jack, any suggestions?  Got a brand new iMac and purchased external speakers for same.  Hooked them into external speaker jack and the computer does not recognize the external speaker jack.  I then plugged them into the external head phone jack and the computer recognized the head phone jack.  How can I get the computer to recognize the speaker jack?

Thanks "a brody," my mistake, I was mistaking the "audio in" jack for a speaker output jack.  I have some Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers with a built in amplifier that I am using and they sound beautiful.  I do have them plugged into the correct jack, but was thinking there was a speaker out put and headphone out put.
Thanks again for correcting me, I feel much better now that I know my brand new iMac isn't defective, lol.

  • I downloaded Firefox 4, have a Mac Powerbook G4 with OS X and firefox downloads, but opens with an X on the symbol and won't work, says architecture won't support - what is up?

Have tried 4 times to download Firefox 4 and each time it seems to be working OK, but when I go to move the firefox symbol onto the Application symbol, the firefox symbol has an X in an O indicating that it won't work and doesn't. Note says that the architecture won't support the new download. Can I get the update and if so, how? Dave Morrison

Firefox 4 doesn't run on a PowerPC Mac.
Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

  • HT5409 I asked if AVCHD files can be played on Mac and the support site says to simply click on the icon and quick time will play it. A big lie. Just say it won't support the file type and tell us what apps to get.

I asked if AVCHD files can be played on Mac and the support site says to simply click on the icon and quick time will play it. A big lie. Just say it won't support the file type and tell us what apps to get. anybody?

I also had issues opening AVCHD files on case-sensitive filesystems.
You can try these steps to solve the issue:
Right click on the AVCHD file and select 'Show Package Contents'
Right click on the BDMV file and select 'Show Package Contents'
Rename index.bdm to INDEX.BDM (it seems that all files in the BDMV folder should be in UPPERCASE for Quicktime to open the AVCHD file).
Go back twice and try again to double-click on the AVCHD file (Quicktime should open a window showing the multiple clips, as expected).

  • Can't use trial - error message: "architechture" won't support program

I have run CS4 photoshop on my Macbook Pro - but now I can't run the trial of either photoshop or dreamweaver - the error says the architecture (of my machine) won't support the program. I'm wondering if anyone knows a work around. I called apple - they say that Adobe just hasn't gotten the trials to work with the newer operating systems of OSX. If that is true it seems like bad business since photoshop is their flagship graphics program and Mac are the graphics computers.

Ask in the Photoshop Mac forum.

  • My recent up-date won't support ROBOform, so how can i get my older version back?

I use a ROBOFORM program a lot. When I recently downloaded an update of my Moxila firefox, I found out it won't support my ROBOFORM program. Can I get the older version of Firefox back?

You kinda have that backwards, Roboform needs to support Firefox. If you upgrade to Roboform version 7, you'll have Roboform working in Firefox 4.0.1.

  • Just downloaded 4.0 - replaced old Firefox in Applications on my Apple Powerbook OS 10.5, moved icon - but won't open, says "won't support" now i have no Firefox at all!

Downloaded 4.0 - replaced Old firefox in Applications, (dragged icon into Applications folder though icon had bar through it - should have been a "clue" big mistake, apparently) dragged new icon into toolbar, tried to open it, won't open says "not supported" now i have no Firefox at all.
Have Apple Powerbook OS 10.5 - which apparently won't support it? Too bad you don't put "Warning! about this in bold print on same page as download page
So how do i get my "old" Firefox back?

    Firefox 4.0 needs an Intel x86 processor. <br />

    For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4.0, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 . <br />

    Hi,
the Intel Core Duo processor is a 32-bit only processor and not capable of 64-bit.
Only the Core 2 Duo and later processors are capable of 64-bit.
    Sorry

If you try to download Mountain Lion and your system won't support it, will it tell you, or will it try and then crash the computer?

I have a MacBook Pro purchased in 2008.  It is a 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo Processor with 4 GB memory and I am currently using OS 10.7 Lion.  But it is one of the "silver keyboard" models.  I was told by someone that I would not be able to use Mountain Lion.  I have already purchased it for use on my new MacBook Pro, and would like to put it on this one as well, but don't know if I should just try it.

Understanding that the iPhone 5 won’t support simultaneous voice and data transmissions over Verizon LTE network will it ever be able to support VoLTE (Voice over LTE)? Could Apple add VoLTE support later on? It seems pretty clear the MDM9615 chip supports VoLTE but the baseband software by Apple does not. Could Apple add it to the baseband later on? When will Verizon turn-on/enable VoLTE?

Well in my research Verizon is already testing Voice Over LTE in select markets via a few news releases, and rumor has it that a few smartphones are already VoLTE ready. http://news.verizonwireless.com/news/2011/02/pr2011-02-09f.html
