X-fi xtrememusic. can't get mic to work

Iv been trying to get it to work for hours. I know the mic works as i have tested it on another pc. Iv changed loads of settings many times and iv included a screenshot http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/860/soundscreenyr4.jpg)?
I'm not sure if those settings are correct or not, lemme know please!
Also, I keep seeing screenshots of driver software which differs to mine but i can't find the download link, anyone help? i think using the different driver software may help me.
If it helps I have the X-fi xtrememusic [B000] and am running on microsoft windows xp x64.
Thanks in advance

Hi,Same for me too. Firstly please check creative easy recorder, if the recording source is microphone , the microphone is automatically is muted at recording control panel not at volume panel, if u choose what u hear at easy recorder, now what u hear will automatically be muted?at recording panel, try and u will see, and u can't record anything . This problem has occurred for me?after the driver update and cant find any solutions yet.
any suggestions?

  • Can't get mic to work on Acer TravelMate P

    Hello there Arch forum.
    @mod
    I'm not sure if this post is best placed in laptop/media or newbie corner, I have used Arch for 2 years now but I'm a noob on pulseaudio.
    Feel free to move it to the desired location.
    Anyone have any suggestions on how to get my head set microphone to work in mumble on my Acer TravelMate P laptop.
    I have tried different things that was suggested on the PulseAuido Troubleshooting page.
    But I think its a problem with a hardware button that can mute the microphone located just beneath the screen.
    When press the button nothing happens..
    Output of some commands.

  • Can't get Mic to Work

    New Arch on a 5 year old PC. I tested the mic input before I zapped the Windows that was on this machine and it was good.
    Now it has oss and output is perfect, but no matter what I do, I can't get the input to work. I tried two mics, both of which work in another PC.
    Running LXDE if that makes any difference.
    Any ideas? I think I flipped every switch I could find in ossxmix

    Well this is what I see:
    $ sudo ls -l /sys/module/snd/holders
    ls: cannot access /sys/module/snd/holders: No such file or directory
    after I installed alsa-lib alsa-utils and alsa-oss
    When I run alsaconf it says "no supportd PnP or PCI card found" and then "No legacy drivers are available"
    I think I may just have to get a new PC
    Thanks

  • Can't get Mic to work in Ventrilo

    ! OS:?? Windows XP SP3
    Sound card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatalty
    Headset:? Sennheiser PC-350
    Creative driver:? 2.8.003
    Ventrilo version: 3.0.5
    Problem:
    I'm using the I/O Dri've front panel to plug in my headset. The mic works in Windows - I can record my voice. But I can't get the mic to work in Ventrilo. I've tried various options, and I am using Line-In 2/Mic 2 as the input source but still no go.
    Any help? Thanks.

    % Yes Ventrilo has an option to select Input source, which I've done as Mic 2. Doing the 'Monitor' test it scrolls values in the right window in response to my voice, so it does seem to "hear" me. (But doing the 'Test' does nothing - not sure what I'm supposed to see there...)
    There's gotta be something I'm missing I just don't know what. Thanks.

  • Can't get iDVD6 to work

    I have Ilife08 installed on my machine and they work. I'm using imovie 6 but I can't get idvd 6 to work. I find idvd 7 takes longer and the icons are blurred. I would prefer to use idvd 6 but it will not boot. Even idvd 5 will not boot. Any ideas on how to get idvd 6 to work again.

  • Can't get OCISvcCtxToLda to work

    I'm hacking PERL DBD::Oracle to be able to
    switch from OCI 8 to OCI 7 and back. This
    effort is mostly to keep old code that is
    blob_read()ing LONGs working and at the same
    time be able to read CLOBs while the database
    is in transition. So far so good, except when
    I call OCISvcCtxToLda, I get:
    ORA-24323: value not allowed
    Sample code that uses OCISvcCtxToLda would
    be an enormous help.

  • Can't get OCITransStart() to work

    I am calling OCITransStart() to start a new transaction, however it returns an INVALID HANDLE error, when I am sure the handle is valid as it has been used elsewhere successfully.
    rc = OCITransStart(svchp, errhp,
    60, OCI_TRANS_NEW|OCI_TRANS_READWRITE)
    Also tried
    rc = OCITransStart(svchp, errhp, 60, OCI_DEFAULT)
    Also tried without a timeout (timeout is zero).
    The svchp handle has been used successfully in a OCIStmtExecute() and was initialised as per documentation/samples.
    Do I have to do anything extra to the service context to be able to start transactions?

    check your outgoing port settings and make sure it's using a specific port and not the default port, also you might want to check to see if it is using SSL, TLS or any other encryption.  Verify the setting from your old machine setup.

    If it's showing the red disabled screen due to incorrect passcodes then you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to reset the iPad via your computer's iTunes and restore/resync your content to it

    Hi,
    Is there an iPhone involved ?
    If not, what happens  if you remove the Apple ID on the iPad and then set it in Airplane Mode (allow a couple of minutes at this point) followed by re-adding the Apple ID ?
    What, if any error messages are appearing on the Mac when you try to launch the App or Login to the iMessages server ?
    Is the Apple ID linked to an iCloud account ?
    In Messages 7 (Mountain Lion) this did not seem to be important but it seems it is in Mavericks/Messages 8

    I bought an IR receiver and an Apple Remote, and I can't get it to work. What am I doing wrong? The receiver is a Lenovo eHome OVU430006/01 USB IR Receiver.

    Hello,
    You would need to pair the Apple Remote with the receiver. So I would use the generic Mac/PC receiver and follow these instructions:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1619
    If that doesn't work then check in System Profiler to see if the IR receiver has been recognized by the PowerBook's hardware. You may require the install of drivers for this device to be recognized.
    Best of luck

    Try turning the email account off and then turn it on again. Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>select your gmail account>Off. Go to the mail app and then come back to the account in the settings and turn it on again.
    If you can't find any other way for the iPad to accept the password, delete the email account and then add it back onto the iPad.
