*X-fi XtremeMusic Subwoofer for 2. stereo? Hello.
I have a X-fi XtremeMusic card, which i've connected to my Yamaha Recei'ver with three 3.5mm - 2xRCA cables. So i have 5. sound when i choose it from AudioConsole.
I'd like to listen to music with 2. Stereo, i do not get any signal to my Subwoofer when i choose the 2. system. I've gathered it is due it only plays the 2. with subwoofer when i have some sort of creative or other satelite-subwoofer combo or something. I'd like to know if there is anyway for me to listen music with 2. Stereo with my Subwoofer getting a signal.
I do not like it that when i listen to music i have to have 5. so i can enjoy my subwoofer, the music also comes from the Center and Rear speakers when i've got 5. selected.

.Re: X-fi XtremeMusic Subwoofer for 2. stereo?u also under your control panel, and sound properties, there you will find a button that says, "Configure"? I using Vista/Windows 7. So if you dont have this, you may have to investigate further as I no longer run XP.
When you configure your settings, you will see an option for use FULL RANGE speakers. Our resident driver/tweak guru Daniel K. had written in a README file, that if you enable FULL RANGE speakers on your PC, you are going to have problems BASS or lack thereof. Be sure that you uncheck those boxes for Full Range speakers and retest using your subwoofer again. I am afraid that the full range setting is causing your system to redirect all the bass to your speakers and not to your subwoofer. Also be sure to toggle the bass redirection enabled setting as DWH said after making the speaker change setting.

Ideas for a car stereo/gps/Bluetooth for a 2006 honda accord

I need some ideas on how to get Bluetooth in my 2006 honda accord. I've been looking at car systems with gps and Bluetooth but it seems too expensive. I've also been looking at a Bluetooth device to install in the car. I just don't know how to install it or how to hook up the controls on the steering wheel. I've been to best buy....your sales people aren't that knowledgeable. The geek squad guy was but prices seem a bit high to install everything. I'm looking for opinions or if anyone has done the same to their 2006 honda accord.

alright well lets start off with some basics. are you using an Iphone or apple product? or are you using a android based unit?
with android it is a very big hit or miss on alot of the fuctions for your bt and or streaming music such as display of songs and such.
if you are using an apple device you should be solid, until a new update will make it not function properly. i say this because it seems that everytime there is an update apple gets rid of something that a customer of mine used and now doesn't have. regardless if you are an apple user you should be used to this by now though.

that product above will allow you to integrate into your factory stereo given that the certain radio that you have in your vehicle currently has the ability to. On the back of the box there are a few specifications for the radios to have. I don't have a box with me since i just sold my last one yesterday, but i know it has to have some buttons on the radio, and if they don't have the buttons unfortunately you won't be able to use this device, but on the box you will see those specs. I haven't really ever had a problem with the this module not working in a honda, but GM's and their module i have had some radios that customers have brought be and the device is not compatible with. Swing back into your local best buy ask them about the ISIM51 and getting that installed. yes it is expensive but i know your dash kit alone if you wanted to replace the stereo is wicked expensive also. hope this helps! thanks for the post. and also that price includes installation.

FPS2000 subwoofer for home theater?

This question might be kind of out there but oh well... I know these are digital speakers but is there any way to get this subwoofer to output a signal from a home theater receiver with a subwoofer output? I have it just sitting around and would like to use it if possible because it's tiny, amplified, and packs a nice punch for its size. Thanks!

Options other than what. We don't know enough about your installation. Is this the same TV in the same location, or what? E.G. I use a Harmony remote. My
TV in the family room is the "home theater." I have my remote set up to Watch TV when all I want on is the TV, and Watch TV 2 when I want the amplifier/surround sound/DVD/PS3 on. So, what is it you are trying to do?
Your VZ remote comes in a 2-button variety, and a 4-button (you pay for it) variety which might be sufficient for you. There are lots of alternative remotes.

Ios 4.2.1 won't connect to 'made for iPod' car stereo

I wish I'd NOT updated from ios 3.1.3. Then I could listen to music on my iPod (touch, 2nd gen, 8gb) in my car via the car stereo (Kenwood KDC-W6541U) USB port with not problems.
Ever since I updated to ios 4.0 (and 4.1 which didn't solve the problem either) whenever I plug my iPod the car stereo display flashes 'reading'. I've checked the Kenwood website, but there are no updates for the stereo.
I'd hoped the 4.2.1 update would've resolve the problem, but it didn't. The main reason I'd bought an iPod was to listen music in the car!
Recently I've not bought anything from iTunes, whats the point as I can't listen to it.
I'm getting disillusioned. I've tried plugging/unplugging, switching on/off, resetting, etc, etc with no success. Anyone got any ideas?

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. i have a kenwood kvt-514 head unit. once i updated my ipod touch to v4.2.1 some songs didn't play, no album artwork was displayed, ect. i tried doing all of the above and nothing. hopefully apple is working this out.

Nano for Alpine Car Stereo

I have the Alpine KCA-4201 Interface Adapter For Ipod installed with the proper head unit. Ipods and Ipod mini's seem to work fine, but when I plug in my Nano the head unit reads the song files, and you can tell the song is playing on the head unit, but no sound comes out. This seems to happen ONLY with the Nano. Is there some sort of software update? Or does this Alpine unit not support the Nano? Anyone...??

I've had my nano for over three months now, and I'm beginning to realize that, after meeting a few other nano owners, each nano behaves differently, as if it has its own personality?
I had an iPod interface connected to my car stereo a month ago. My nano has no problems hooking up. When my friend plugs her nano in my car, it needs to be reset, every single time. She did a full restore, using the latest updater, and the same thing happens. To test things, I did a full restore on my nano, using the same updater, and no problems.
So, it appears that no two nanos are created equally...
Hopefully, someone may have an answer.

Although you have the new USB drivers for pocketmac, you should first install pocketmac version 4.1.25, then install the driver patch.

Use AppleTV as throughput for audio to stereo, sorta bypass TV

I apologize if already answered. I scanned the first 20 or so pages. I then searched and got 34 pages of hits.
What I've been trying to find out is whether this can replace an Airport Express. I've come close to buying one a few times so I can play my music from my main computer. The TV can have it's audio outs go wherever the user wants and so I would have it go to my stereo. I'm wondering if the TV can sorta bypass the television in this situation, that a user can control the audio from iTunes on the computer and not through the television's screen.
Short of that, once the streaming of music begins with the television, couldn't it be turned off? I find it incredibly wasteful to have all that energy flowing through a huge plasma screen just to play some tunes.

If you're just looking for some kind of interface to work with a radio he/she already has, then I would need to know what kind of radio it is, or if it is a factory radio, I would need to know Make, model and year of the vehicle to give you some ideas. If you are looking for a new radio, then most of your aftermarket radio manufacturers make iPod compatible radios that simply need to have a cable added and you can plug an iPod directly into the new radio and control it with the radio. This allows text to be shown on the radio display as well as charges the iPod. I currently work with Alpine and Kenwood and both of them offer a full speed interface. Full speed is kind of important as some of the older interfaces were slow and cumbersome to operate.
Give me a little more info. and I'm sure I can help you out.

Ipod as N/A Device for Kenwood Car Stereo

Hello everyboy, first poster here .
In September I bought my first Ipod: a classic Ipod 80 gb. I've never have a problem listening to music and so on and I was really happy with it.
Some days ago I bought a new Kenwood's car stereo with USB port. When I plug my Ipod to the car stereo it does not acknowledge it and the display says "N/A device". The icon in the Ipod seems in charge but the stereo do not see the music for the Ipod.
At first I thought that it was because of the car stereo but it's not true. I tried with the different ipods of my friends and there were no problem at all.
Itunes and Firmware are upgraded to the latest version.
My question is: what should I do? Just buy a new Ipod and sell my old one on Ebay :D?

I want to add some information: the model of my car stereo is a Kenwood KDC-W5041UA and it has the "Made for Ipod" logo, so it should not have compatibility issue based on Ipod model.
I've tried all the routine procedures (reinstall, reboot and so on) before I've written here but they do not work.

New Iphone App for Spotify missing stereo detail via bluetooth!

I was forced to upgrade recently to the new version of Spotify for my Iphone. I immediately noticed on some songs the guitar stereo track has disappeared on certain tracks. I had listened to these tracks on the previous version and all the guitars could be heard. On the new version I am noticing missing stereo fields on certain tracks and songs via bluetooth, however plays fine on any desktop computer. Running 3.4.0.684. Anyone else having this problem or know a fix?

Audigy Player and no Subwoofer for 5.1 So

I use the Audigy Player with the newest updates. I have connected a Zalman 5. headphones ZM-RS6F on the SB-card. With sourround mixer and speaker and test only 5 speakers are tested without subwoofer. All speaker test for these 5 speakers are correct. But when I test with a test-DVD from www.dvd-discovery.de alle speakers are correct, but the subwoofer doesn't function.
What must I configure for the subwoofer?

I'm pretty sure the bass is just produced through the center channel. I have these headphones as well and I get the same thing, no sound for the Sub test. However if I listen to music with a lot of bass it comes out fine. Sounds awesome - great headphones... most of the time. I have some other quirks with them which I'm going to ask about somewhere else.

Which one do you prefer for 2.1 Stereo Speak

I am planning to buy a Creative Sound card for my Streo 2. Speakers but don't know which of Creative EXTERNAL solution will sound better and blast my bass when i connect it to my notebook to streo speaker.Which one do you prefer ? Thanks.

If you have a spare PCMCIA slot, check out the Audigy 2 ZS Notebook. External solutions, there is the SBLi've 24-bit External.
You might want to check out the Xmod though, it is a new product and seems to fit the bill if you're trying to improve the audio quality from your laptop.

Cloning a Track for the Opposite Stereo Channel

Hey folks, quick question:
So I did some recording this past weekend, but unfortunately, when I imported it all into GarageBand, I found that the audio had only been recorded into the left stereo channel (meaning if you were wearing headphones, you'd hear everything in the left ear, and nothing in the right). I figure I can probably fix this pretty easily if I just clone the track and set it to the opposite stereo channel. I just don't know how to do this in GB.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This would be a better tutorial that helps you out with putting a mono sound into stereo(the example here is that there is a guitar audio but it is only played on the left, the user wants to make a stereo).

Ipod Adapter for Pioneer Car Stereo

Hi there experts and wannabe experts.
I just got a new Pioneer car deck with a USB iPod connecter. When I connect my iPod (which is 4-5 years old) an error message appears. According to the manual, my Ipod is too old. So the good people at Pioneer want me to buy what appears to me to be an external drive that I would basically transfer all of my music over to. The price is around $130. This seems ridiculous to me and I am thinking there must be some other kind of adapter out there. I'd rather get a new Ipod than that dumb Pioneer dealie. BUT, it seems kinda stupid because we have two older Ipods with tons of memory and they both work great.
Any ideas?

I have the JBL Radial and it will not charge the 3G...Before I buy a new one is there a solution to this???

Good question for JBL.
If a product does not include the "made for iPhone" designation, no.
Some products that don't include this may work with the first generation iPhone but not with the iPhone 3G.
