hi yeah i've two questions
i hope u understand my problems cause my english is not the best
the first one is:
now i have the x-fi xtrememusic a teufel concept e magnum and a sennheiser headset
i would like to use them both (teufel for music sennheiser for gaming) without changing the cables on my x-fi all the time
and it would be nice that if i use the headset the speakers would be muted or something like that
is that possible?
second question:
i've a front panel on my pc with line in and line out
can i connect it on my x-fi? i didnt find sth about that in the manual

What you describe is possible on a model with a dri'vebay, but not on the X-Fi Xtreme Music. Everything connectors to the back of the card so there is no way to distinguish between normal speakers and headphones. On the dri'vebays there is a headphone jack, which can automatically switch settings when you plug in headphones.

Soundblaster X-Fi Sorround 5.1 (USB) and Sorround Sound via S/PDIF?

Hi,
I use a X-Fi XtremeMusic with the DD / DTS Connect Pack in my PC for sorround sound over S/PDIF in Music/Games/etc. That works like a charme and I have no problems at all (thanks do daniel_k )
Recently I purchased a new laptop and liked the idea of connecting my sorround system with it too, so I looked around and purchased a "Soundblaster X-Fi Sorround 5.". Sadly the DD/DTS Pack does not install for this device...
Now, as far as I know, the only real sorround sound I will get would be from audio signals that are in the correct format (that is: movies)
I guess I'm kind of f****d right now.. Is there any workaround for this? The only thing I really want is to play games on my sorround system via S/PDIF. I *could* connect it directly to my speakers, but that would end in a cable mess... and would kind of make my whole audio setup pointless.
If anyone knows some other USB soundcard which can "convert" EAX/other Sorround Signals to Dolby Digital..shoot Though I'd like to stick with creative if possible.
If not...well, I can still send it back to the merchant. :/

- Teufel DecoderStation 3 (decodes DD/DTS and stuff to an analog signal for the speakers)

Don't get angry at me, it's not my fault if you don't know the difference between onboard audio and a sound card.
It's PAP (protected audio path), not SAP. SAP is secondary audio programming, something entirely different.
PAP doesn't require HDMI, but I've yet to see a sound card that supports PAP but doesn't feature an HDMI output (so my point about needing a sound card with HDMI still stands). If you had read my earlier edit of post #2 you would see that I've already addressed the motherboard/HDMI issue.
List these sound cards you speak of, I still don't see any specific models listed.

Unable to select 5.1 in speaker settings - only Front so

i've got the following Problem with my Audigy 4 Pro.
In Audi HQ->Speaker Settings im Not able to select anything besides 2. Speakers. If i click on the combobox nothing happens.
I can activate 5. in the Windows Audio settings but after a system reboot this setting is set back automatically to "Desktop speakers".
As a result i only hear Sound from my Front speakers.
(I've connected the analog 5. Teufel concept e magnum with my audigy)
The settings did work some time ago but now they doesn't (i didnt do something special besides selecting one time "headphones" as my speakers while i used them on a LAN-Party)
No driver change or anything else.
I really hope that this is a known problem and somebody could help me out with this. (Allthoug i didnt found anything similar with the board-search)

I'm having the same problem with my audigy 2. I reloaded my computer and installed and updated the drivers, and when I go to the pull down box in Speaker Settings nothings there. Can anyone help?

Frustrated...can't get headphones to w

3 months ago I built my first computer from scratch. Wasn't sure I could do it, but was very happy to see the computer work perfectly, well almost. I have SB audigy II ZS sound card. Have plantronics headphones/mike along with plantronics speaker/headphone switch. Speakers work great by themselves. Even when I plug in the switch into the sound card and then plug in the speakers into the switch, the speakers work great. When I plug in the headset to the switch or computer I get nothing but static. I am wondering, is there some sort of setting that I need to be using to get the headset to work? When I test the headphone and speaker on a different device, they work, so I know the equipment is not broken. Please, any advise will be greatly appreciated as i am running out of ideas. THanks!

I got a similar story to tell... here you go:?I bought a Teufel Concept E Magnum Digital (http://www.teufel.de/de/Komplett-Sys...m?show=technik?-> if anyone's interested [german]), which combines 5. speakers (Concept E Magnum Power Edition) with a digital decoder station (decoderstation 3) - I never had digital sound 'til now... ?Everything set up, plugged together with my Creative Fatalty FPS (I got the version with the front X-Fi I/O dri've) so that I've plugged it in the optical out of my sound card... Quite everything worked... but only with two channel sound... only if I used the upmix function of the decoder station I got sound of my rear speakers (even if I played AC3 sound). So I thought, that there is something wrong with the optical output... plugged in to spdif... the same: only two channel output... then I searched the whole internet for a solution, tried different opinions and it worked... lol, I even don't know which option saved my ass... I believe, that it was the option to set the "SPDIF-Out" in playback devices as the default one... even if I played sound with the optical out... because I never found any option for that plug... well it doesn't matter, I guess... it works... ?Greetings,Drago

i bought myself an old Audigy 2 from Ebay a week ago, hoping i can increase my fps ingame on my old 2200+ computer.
i really felt the increase, especially in Doom 3. But today i threw out the Audigy again.
the bass from my subwoofer (teufel concept e mpe) is sooooo weak (in games and winamp) and sounds like a cheap passi've subwoofer.
i tested every single setting, hoping to get a better sound out of it, but it didn't work. the bass just feels "weak".
i'm pretty surprised, because i thought i'd get at least the same sound quality.
does anyone have experiences with that? i can't believe the onboard sound is better than the Audigy's!
i set the frequency for subwoofer to 20hz, increased the volume of the subwoofer, changed the equalizer.
but it just sounds like a passi've sub and "cheap". (sry my english isn't good enough to find fitting adjecti'ves)
can anyone help me with that? does anyone have the same problem?

The problem with the Audigy 2 is that its analog output quality isn't especially good anymore, when compared to newer devices - even onboard. This is demonstrated when and if you swicth over to use Dolby Digital Li've.
I'm assuming the sound quality improvment I got has got to do with the fact that when using DDL, the Audigy's DACs and other analog components are skipped because the audio signal is being sent straight out, digitally, to my reciever.
The audio quality improvement I got was huge, to the extent that, eax/gaming aside, I can't actually hear the difference between an X-Fi and my Audigy anymore. Before using DDL li've the difference was obvious.
It may simply be that your nForce's analog output is of a higher quality.
Analog quality aside though, the Audigy 2 is still the better device, or at least the more capable. It really depends on whether or not you're a gamer I suppose.
If you've got a digital reciever then try the DDL pack and connect your Audigy to your reciever using the digital output.
If not, and you're not a gamer, then I'd stick with your nForce if that sounds better? < - this being advice I'd imagine you must find rather anoying.

unfortunately i can't use DDL, because i don't own a receiver.
music is at the moment the more important thing, i'm gaming about 4 hours a week.
i'll keep the audigy though, maybe i'll rebuild an old 3000+ system i still have. (the sound THERE really sounds crappy)

XFI: Problems with channelrouting after THX Se

Hi, i?ve got a problem with XFi, hope somebody can help.
Hardware:
XFi Fatality, Asus A8N SLI Premium Board (Bios .0), Win XP prof., 2 GB RAM, all the latest Patches and Drivers for all Hard- and Software. System runs great without any problems.
A 7. Soundsystem (Teufel Concept G) ist correctly connected to XFi, and works fine so far, but:
i always get problems AFTER i call up the THX Console in XFi Driver/Software, or sometimes just by changing the XFi Modus (Games, Audio...) without calling up THX Console, just by switching the Modus.
Problem is: some soundchannels / speakers are incorrectly routed then. For example, after calling up THX, Front right Speaker is no longer front right, but Center instead, Sub works no more, but subfrequencys are routed then to left side Speaker, and stuff like this. This can easily be checked by "Channel/Noise" Speakertest in XFi Software.
Sometimes some Speakerchannels even fail without any operation or switching to THX or other Modus.
When this problem appears, and i choose "Standard" Button in Mainscreen XFi Software (Xfi Harware is resetted), false routing is over, everything is OK again. I took me hours and hours to find out, first i thought cableconnections or other hardwareproblems were responsible, but that was never the problem.
Anyone else with same problem? Any ideas?

Fix for Bass Redirection issue in sig

Hi everybody,
I have just ordered a Teufel Concept E 5. Speaker System. For that reason I'm now also dealing with the purchse of a 5. sound card. At first my favourite was the Audigy 2 ZS, but now I'm hesitating because I've read on several forums that the Teufel System also suffers from the Audigy series' malfunctioning driver-implemented Bass Redirection (an issue firstly reported 3 years ago, January 2002!!!) when it comes to upmix a stereo source to 5..
Just to remember: If Bass Redirection is unchecked in the drivers, the whole frequency spectrum of the stereo source will be directly sent to the front left/right channels (and no other channels), and the connected speaker system will have to split the frequency bands and feed its subwoofer with low-pass signals and the sats with high-pass signals (For example this is the case with Creative's own speaker systems which have internal crossovers). But most non-Creative 5. Systems don't have this internal functionality of mixing a stereo input up to subwoofer and sats. For such systems Creative implemented the "Bass Redirection" in their drivers: sub frequencies of the stereo source are low-pass filtered and sent to the discrete subwoofer output of the sound card. The issue is that this signal from the subwoofer output is too weak, forcing users to find workarounds to get bass when they're listening to stereo sources (such as Music in Winamp).
This issue, although known for 3 (three!!!) years now, has not yet been fixed by Creative. In late November 2004, Cat has replied to the Monster thread dealing with this issue on the old forums (http://uk.europe.creative.com/support/forums/thread.asp?thre=396&foru=5&page=34) (scroll down), promising to forward the issue to the driver dev team, but since that day nothing has happened anymore.
My question to the mods: is there a chance that this driver issue will be fixed in the near future? Otherwise I'll have to reconsider my options concerning my sound card purchase.

I have Audigy 2 ZS OEM, Yamaha RXV-440 Home Cinema Recei'ver and big 5. home cinema speakers. Audigy 2 ZS is connected to Yamaha by 3 analog outputs (connecting it by spdif cause no CMSS stereo to surround upmix and only stereo sound for all none DD/DTS sound sources like MP3, games, mpg/DivX/XviD films...thats why I must connect them by annalog outputs/inputs).
When I disable bass redirection then speakers have full frequency response (20Hz - 20kHz) but there is no any signal on sub output (when I play stereo sound with CMSS Stereo Surround enabled).
When I enable bass redirection and set cutoff frequency to 70Hz then there is signal on analog sub out but speakers have bass cutted off (20Hz - 70Hz) and playing only frequencies from 70Hz to 20kHz
This option causing waste of basse from speakers (they have beatyful basse but no with this drivers).
Even when bass redirection is enabled, signal from sub output is very weak - I don't have so high sub volume regulation to turn it sound loud enough
I have this problems on SB Li've, I have this problem on Audigy 2 ZS and this problem still exist on Audigy 4 !!! (I'am using now modded Audigy 4 drivers to work on all Audigy series but there is the same problem as in orginal A2 ZS drivers).
I'am requesting only 2 fixes in drivers that is satisfy me completly (not only me - many people have the same problem):
. Add an option that will disable bass cutting from speakers when bass redirection is enabled or make bass redirection working only for subwoofer without any speakers frequency cutting.
2. Make signal from analog sub out louder because this volume level is not acceptable !!!

Audigy 2 ZS: Cannot save setti

Hi,
my problem is: after each start of my PC, I have to open
- Equalizer
- EAX-Console
- Speaker-settings (here I have to recalibrate the 5. speakers, so that my rear speakers will work.)
I made profiles, they are saved, but they aren't acti've after restart. This, especially the calibrating of the speakers, is very disturbing.
My speakers: Teufel Concept E Magnum
The files in the creative folder are all NOT read only!

I have the same problems if i update the drivers. If i use the original drivers from the cd, the settings are saved. But if i update the drivers, then i must change the settings everytime i login in Windows.
Try to install the older drivers from the cd (if you have the newer drivers).
I like to get an answer for this problem, about updating the drivers and the settings i like, are not there at the next boot.

Audigy 2ZS How to output same sound quality on rear and fro

Hello,
i am having following problem: I have the audigy 2 zs and a teufel concept e 5. surround system.
i use bpm studio to mix music. in this program i can assign the two players/turntables to the different output channel, so i am able to have seperate channels for output with only one soundcard (left player front output, right player rear output.
the thing is, that to me it seems that the sound quality is different between front and rear. this also occurs when i output something with winamp, it sounds different in the front and in the rear. how is it possbile to achieve the same quality output with the same frequencies and the same volume level on both front and rear. i hope that the question is understandable.

I've experienced this before. I have read about it somewhere, but I can't remember the exact details and now I forgot where I saw it :angry:. I think that it is the amps in your speaker system and it has something to do with the front amps needing to be more robust than the rear. So the rear speakers sound slightly clearer. Is that what you are experiencing? You can check whether it is the soundcard by swapping the front/rear channels around. If it is the speakers, the difference in quality will remain unchanged.

Hallo, ich habe mir heute eine Audigy SE gekauft, und durch meine alte Genius 5. Soundkarte ersetzt
(Die Genius Soundkarte war kaputt)
nun habe ich alles installiert, neueste treiber aufgespielt, kabel (zu 00%) RICHTIG angeschlossen,
und wenn ich musik abspiele l?uft sie nur ?ber die vorderen Boxen!
das Tool, welches den Creative Treibern beiliegt, mit dem man die Boxen testen kann, funktioniert,
bis auf den Subwoofer (also vorder und hinterboxen funktionieren einwandfrei, subwoofer aber nicht)
und wie gesagt, bei der musik spielt sie NUR vorne !
benutze das teufel concept E soundsystem, und hatte noch nie probleme in dieser art,
sie haben immer einwandfrei funktioniert es liegt an der soundkarte, nicht an den boxen

Du musst in der EAX-Konsole die Option CMSS 3D ausw?hlen und dann Strereo Surround. Dann kommen auch von hinten die Sounds.

PS3 Sound through Soundcard to Surround-System?

Hey guys! I'm new here, my name is Daniel and I'm from Germany (so my English might not be as good as you wish ). I have the following problem:
I want to connect my Playstation 3 to my PC-Speakers and use the soundcard as "decoder" for incoming digital signal.
Then I want to pass the encoded signal through to my speakers (they are connected via Cinch, so it's an analog Speaker System) so that I'm able to enjoy 5. sound.
Here is what I found out:
I tried to connect my PS3 with an optical cable to my SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Professional Series.
It worked but the only thing I got was Stereo Sound. When I set the PS3 outgoing audio signal to DD/ DTS 5. encoding, I got no more sound.
Is there any way to get 5. (DTS/ DD decoding) over the soundcard and give the sound out to my Teufel Concept G THX 7.? Is there maybe a software-decoder, which can be used to decode (as I know, the soundcard has no integrated decoder) the signal?
I would be glad, if I get some help.

I had to connect my Apple TV directly to my home
theater system with an optical cable to get past the
problem. It looks like these Sharp TVs simply will
not pass sound input from an HDMI cable through to
the optical audio output.
I have one of the new Sharp LC-32GP1U 1080p LCD sets, and I have exactly the same problem:
Apple TV goes out via HDMI to TV; TV audio goes out via optical to Samsung receiver. The TV itself can play the audio, but the receiver cannot.
However, my HD cable box also goes out to the TV via HDMI (and then out via optical to the receiver also), and the receiver plays that audio just fine. So, at least for me, it is not an issue of the Sharp TV refusing to pass along HDMI audio to the optical output.
Is it possible that the Apple TV is the source of the problem? Maybe my receiver doesn't like the audio format (PCM? Dolby Digital?) the Apple TV sends?

I have hooked a Teufel Concept G to my Audigy 2 ZS. The Speakers do not have internal cross mix, so unless the sound card provides a bass signal there will be NO bass at all. This has not been a problem under linux, since it automatically configures the sound card to send out bass, but very frustrating in Windows Vista x64. GTA4 is no fun without bass ;-)
After endless searching and messing with different drivers (breaking the whole vista sound system) I coincidently got bass redirection (and CMSS2 apparently) working today.
These are the steps I took:
. Fresh install of Windows Vista x64
2. Installation of Audigy 2 drivers provided by WindowsUpdate, did not download from Creative Labs
3. Use an old CtPanel-App which actually could activate bass redirection and CMSS2?

I also have the same problem, sound stop working after getting SP2, I updated vista to SP2 because I want to update to windows 7, with win 7 I have try all the drivers without success I still have no sound and with some drivers I get a blue screen. After 2 restarts windows 7 ask me to fix the problem with restore and vola everything works ok but no sound.

No Sound on Center Speaker, ONLY in the T

I am really getting crazy now ...
I got a Soundblaster Audigy with 394 Port and an Teufel Concept E Magnum 5. System.
I connected everything correct and the Sound is really great. I only got one problem ...
If I play any sounds, for eg. mp3 in Winamp there is no Sound on my Center Speaker.
I selected 5. System in the Creative Mixer and also in Windows, in the Audio Console bla bla. The funny thing is, if I click test, there is a nice Voice telling me "center" from my center speaker. And also Call of Duty 2 works fine. But why the hell is there no Sound if I am listing music?
First I got Audigy Driver .3 from the CD and got the same problem, so I updated via automatic softwareupdate yesterday and the center worked. But today it is not working any more (only in the test and over eax stuff ...). i also reupdated today, but there is still no sound
Can you pleas help me?

X-fi titanium - subwoofer doesnt work

x-fi titanium - subwoofer doesnt work8 hi guys. I'm from germany, so my english is not very well, but i hope you can understand my problem.
I have a x-fi titaniun. My soundsystem is a teufel concept e-400.
The subwoofer works fine from the beginning. Yesterday I connected the system with my xbox360.
After that connected again with my soundcard, but the subwoofer doesn't work.
Than I connected another sound device with the woofer and the subwoofer works fine.
I reinstalled the driver more than one time and removed the card and put it in again.
The subwoofer is still quiet. A also changed die line in from the center speaker with the subwoofer.
When i turn up the volume, the center speaker plays something like "scratching".
So the subwoofer works fine, but got no signal from my soundcard?!
My system:
Win Vista 64bit
mainboard: asus p5q
cpu: core 2 duo e8500
gpu: geforce gtx 260
I hope someone can help me.

our concept is to give free goods for ex- 10 out of 100 are free goods.
when i am creating a po with item catagory U, the free goods indicator is become vanice. so i am unable to process this free goods.

thats why u cant see any kind of basic cost condition in that
as the material is transfer from one plant to another the inventory changes and so the the price in material master is get updated for the another plznt
