X-grid missing

Under 'sharing' in system preferences, I can't see x-grid. Is there anyway I could have turned it off/uninstalled it?
Any idea how to get it back. I would try reinstalling Tiger, but I left my disc back at home, and I'm not going back until August.

10g Grid missing 9i Capacity Planner

Since 10g Grid is missing the capacity planner that 9i had, has anyone created any reports that mimic the behavior of the old capacity planner.
We are most interested in CPU, Memory and Disk I/O charts over a time period. The reports generated from the performance page of the host target just won't do what we need to see any capacity trends.
It it can't be done in Grid, can anyone recomend a product that could replace the functionality of the old capacity planner.

We have the same complaint. My argument is always, "dont put out anything that isnt better than the previous product". Different is boldNOT better, darn it.
We loved capacity planner to monitor tablespace growth. We want to be sure to identify blips in growth over time. Yes, we can write our own...but why should we considering it was in last product?? We are DBAs not Grid Control developers. It kinda pushes us into the realm of HP OpenView...we can write a ton of stinking reports there also...but didnt cause it was already in 9i OEM.

The text highlight icon in hotmail rich text toolbar does not display in firefox but does in IE

if I open hotmail using firefox then I start composing an email message in hotmail the icon to highlight text does not appear in the rich text toolbar. it does appear when hotmail opened in internet explorer. it was working fine the other day

TalkTalk's webmail inbox fails to open in Firefox 4.0 but worked in 3.6 & works in IE8 - fix?

I have recently upgraded my laptop to Firefox 4.0 from 3.6 & my TalkTalk webmail inbox now fails to open. It opened OK with 3.6 & still opens in IE8 on my desktop.
TalkTalk will only advise me to find a different browser which works & change to it.
The above is the screenscrape of the page causing the trouble.
As you can see, the text "Hello ! You have undefined new mails in your inbox" appears where it should say the number of new mails in the inbox (which 3.6 did & IE8 does), but there's more.
The next step is to click the "Inbox" image - nothing happens in 4.0 whereas in 3.6 & IE8 the Inbox opens satisfactorily.
Is there a fix for this, or is it a standards failure in either 4.0 or (hopefully more likely) in TalkTalk?
Please say if there is more information you need.

Anyone have 2 monitors running from a 120GT?

Since tonight, I've got a 20" ACD connected next to my 30" one.
Even when I'm just browsing (no pages with Flash) and having Adium and iTerm open, the fan on the card is making annoyingly loud whining noises.
It wasn't when just the 30" ACD was connected.
Could having two screens connected lead to such an increase in temperature on the card that it needs to do this? Do other cards have this same issue?

The 30 inch display is so wide that the data rates required to keep it refreshed are outrageously large. Instead, these displays are divided into two halves. The data for each half are sent simultaneously on a different set of pins on the DVI connector. This is called "dual link", and requires cables with all pins populated (as opposed to the "ordinary" DVI connectors that have the center section of the pin grid missing).
I would not be surprised if supporting a dual link display takes a toll on the card in terms of heat generated.
You may be better served in the long run by:
a) getting a smaller large-display that does not use "dual link", or
b) getting an additional display card.

Missing field in ALV Grid

Hi Gurus,
Im using Fm 'REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE' for filling my field catalogue and 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' for displaying the output in ALV grid.
As per the changes in my requirement, i have to add a field in the structure to display the messages pertaining to that particular record in ALV. I have added a field 'MESS' in my output structure and im populating messages to it.
But in ALV output display, the field which i have added(MESS) is missing.
Please help me out.

After displaying ALV output change Layout settings by adding the field into Coulmns if you did not add that field.

List View shows all tracks of CD, grid view is missing tracks

I imported all my CDs into my iTunes library over the holidays. Over 40 GB of music. Now, I discover a flakey problem. On a CD, if I view via list view, the library shows 13 tracks. When switching to grid view and double-clicking on album, it shows tracks 1,2,4,6,9,12
When I use windows explorer, the iTunes folder only shows tracks 1,2,4,6,9,12. Yet I can play all 13 tracks on PC and iPod. Where are the 'missing' tracks being stored and why don't they show in both views? This is happening on quite a lot of the CDs that were imported, but others are fine.

This is most likely due to the content of the ID3 tags in the imported files. If a track features more than one artist, iTunes uses the first artist in the list to sort and organise the files. So one or more files imported from a CD might be stored in another artist's folder. iTunes plays the full album because it knows where all the tracks are (by virtue of the iTunes library database).
To get around this problem, edit the information for all the tracks on an album so the the "Artist" tag has the main artist first in the list.

Leading Zeros Missing - When exporting data from ALV grid display to Excel

Hi,
Am exporting the data from ALV GRID DISPLAY to Excel sheet using standard toolbar icon 'Local file'
the leading zeros displayed in the ALV output is missing in the EXCEL sheet.
(eg) in ALV o/p - 0029.
in Excel - Only 29 is appearing.
As per the requiement i have to show the leading zeros in excel also.
Pls help on this issue.

Missing columns in print preview of ALV Grid

In a report using ALV grid the output is ok in ALV grid when press print preview the 1st column is always missing and the 1st row shift by 1 character. Why is it happening. The same is happening in print out or when list saved in excel also.

From what I understand, the product team is collecting feedback on the limitations of Live View for FG layouts and improving experience on that front. It would help if you could provide a list of limitations with the current workflow.

Missing lines in Piano Roll grid

Hellow ,
In Piano roll window (Matrix editor before Logic 8 tsunami), some of the grid lines are missing after inserting , p.e. ,a 3/8 bar an going on in 4/4 bar .This is really uncomfortable .
¿Can anybody tell me how should I overcom this lack of versatility ?

I think you're probably thinking of the Hyper Draw area at the bottom of the Piano Roll. This is explained in the manual (pdf, p. 675).
You can also draw curves in the Hyper Editor (p. 679). In a comment here, I gave some simple instructions for drawing a drum roll.

What are the settings for clearing history when Firefox closes?
Make sure that you do not clear the Browsing Cache as that will remove the thumbnails that are stored in it.

Grids are missed in Hyperion reports

Hi Hyperion Report developers,
Could you please give me a solution to following issue,which is happened in hyperion financiial reporting studio.
I have created a one report with 6 grids and 2 charts.After i created the report iam able to see all grids except one grid which is missed.I understood that grid is existed in report and and it is not deleted from the report.How can i see the particular missing grid in report .Is there any soultion to find out?

This is my personal opinion. This is a software, written by software developers. It might be a bug. I don't think I would pursue it after 20 days. Rather create my new grid..
But, you could have a different opinion and might like to pursue it. Did you open a SR with Oracle?

My perspective grid vanishing point adjustment is missing.

I was using the perspective grid tool and all of a sudden the selector for my vanishing point dissappeared.
How do I get this back? I have the perspective selection tool selected too BTW.
