X in upper left of i-Phone 4

A white X resides in the upper left corner of the screen with all the apps. On the upper right there appears a symbol that looks not unlike the battery symbol, but it is pointed and points to lower left. Both the X and the other symbol sit "behind" the app icons. Its an i-Phone 4 with version 6.1.3. Thanks in advance for advice.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Sounds like your iPhone was hacked to unlock and now updating locks back to the original carrier.

It sounds like you may have a group of contacts hidden. While in the Contacts app, tap Groups > Show All Contacts. Take a look at the User Guide below for more information.

When you say you have Internet service, are you connected to wifi? Have you tried a reset on the phone? Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo, then release. The phone will reboot. After it starts, see what happens. Do you have a valid SIM in the phone, one that is activated through a carrier? Have you contacted the carrier to see what they say, since phone service is a carrier responsibility?

I checked with my colleagues in the office who use the same network and theirs work just fine on iOS7. Any idea how to fix the problem?

I have also called my service provider and my service remains active in the network. I tried removing and reinserting my SIM but to no avail.

If the Wi-Fi diagnostics are okay then check your own Wi-Fi router to find out how many clients are connected. The number of clients may not matter but how much data Hogging is going on. If you have multiple computer Services accounts active Wi-Fi cannot handle that much. Examples would be two people playing World of Warcraft, Two people watching a Netflix movie or AppleTV movie, One person Downloading iTunes movies or music at the same time. That accounts for a lot of Wi-Fi usage.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

My "new improved" itunes seems to be missing some key components. Where is the file button and the others in the upper left corner.

There is no file or other things in the upper left corner. Not even a place to upgrade in the future. I talked to a guy in support today and I told him I was missing that stuff and he helped me navigate better but didn't really help me with the missing elements. Upper left button does not work (Nokia E51)

Hi,
I have Nokia E51 and only the upper left button of it has not been working since this afternoon, which unlocks the keys (other keys give response.) The phone has not prone to any physical damage or excessive heat so far and I have not made connection with either any computer or another phone. In addition, my father has same phone and he has been experiencing the same problem for a few hours too.
However, the lights on the left side buttons is not working for a long time but I don't know the reason of that also.
I cannot unlock the keys by plugging off the battery. Have you ever experienced same kind of problem and is there anyone who knows the reason or could offer some temporary or permanent solution?

try removing the battery for ten mins then try updating the firmware

E in upper left hand corner

I figured out why my phone battery life was so short lived, due to the mail settings and somethign to do with push. AFter changing mail settings to manual, now all I get in the upper left of camera is E, hardly able to connect wirelessly, how do I fix? Any suggestions as to settings to keep longer battery life and yet able to establish sufficient wireless connection?

E means it is connected to the EDGE network for your carrier.
Contact them to see if there are any network issues in your area.
Also try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
