X-marks 4.3.3 add-on will not synch and freezes at log-in box.

Question

I have tried "advanced settings" and "repair" in addition to trying to overwrite remote bookmarks manually using x-marks add-on, however in both cases the log-in dialog box for x-marks pops up and then freezes before showing blank fields for username & pw...... I have disabled sync in firefox also to no avail thanks

Followed by;

Linux; '''Edit > Preferences'''
Mac; ''application name'' '''> Preferences'''
Then '''Advanced > General.'''
Look for and turn off '''Use Hardware Acceleration'''.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Then restart.
