X-Reality Settings

One simple question I have,
Is it possible to have/adjust X-Reality settings on other devices then sony? I mean.. How we can view the photos on Win7 to look exactly like they are on Z2, is there any program or specific setting that would make our photos as live and vivid as seen on Z2's screen? Is there any other option than screenshot, copy screenshot to Win7 ? Like we would like to watch the same picture quality on other brand LCD TV, older than X-Reality tech?

I've asked this since the Xperia S was released, the only options I can think of are:
buy a Sony TV with X Reality
or
Open a picture with the album app > brightness 100% > X Reality on > take a screenshot then transfer the screenshot to a computer.

    Fix typo in error string for situations where there are advanced messaging configuration settings from LCDS used in the configuration files but no AdvancedMessagingSupport service. The error string said that there was no flex.messaging.services.AdvancedMessagingService registered but it is the flex.messaging.services.AdvancedMessagingSupport service that needs to be registered.
    Add configuration test that starts the server with a destination that has the reliable property set which is an advanced messaging feature but there is no AdvancedMessagingSupport service registered.

    Hi,
    Unfortunately I already tried all kinds of re-installs (the full list is in my original message). The only one remaining is the reinstall of Windows 8 itself, which I would really like to avoid.
    What I find really strange is the time it takes for the above error message to appear. It's like one hour or even more (never measured exactly, I left the computer running).
    What kind of a timeout is that? I would expect that, if ports are really used by some other application, I get the message in less than a minute (seconds, actually). To me this looks like the emulator itself for some reason believes there's a problem with
    some port while in reality there isn't.
    I'll eventually contact Microsoft Support, thanks for the suggestion.

  • Sequence Settings for Computer-targeted Projects

    Hello,
    It seems to me -based on a scan of the forum's topics- that there are many people who would like to use FCP for creating computer-targeted output, that use still images as the source material. That is, projects not destined for tape or broadcast, that were not shot on video. I realize there are 3rd party apps that do this sort of thing, but the reality is there's no need to spend more money. Creating Ken Burns type effects for example, is very easy to do in the Motion Tab. It's the related sequence settings and render settings that cause the real problems IMO.
    For those who do this kind of work successfully on a regular basis, it would be good to create a list of settings that work well, so others can avoid the painful process of trial and error. Sadly the manual (great as it is) isn't much help on topics relating to still image projects. They mention things like square pixels or image size in passing, but they do not give examples of how to start this type of project from scratch.
    So post away; let others know what settings work for you. If you can post the project type, source type, and then the settings, so much the better. Something like:
    Type: Web Slideshow
    Source: TIF, PSD
    Frame Size:
    Field Dominance:
    Timebase:
    Video settings:
    etc

    Bogie: if some of the sequence settings listed are dependant on the imported material (think that's what you're saying), why are we even able to change them? I guess this is an Apple design issue but seems strange if they "are not part of the creation process", that they should be in the same panel as the other items that are, etc.< </div>
    Umm, no.
    The question here asked about export settings, they did not ask about project or sequence settings. If you meant to ask about sequence settings, that's an entirely different thread and, frankly, it's all covered in the manuals.
    To repeat what Zeb has said, because we can't quite seem to get us all speaking the same language here, use conventional, known formats for your production and creation of effects; DV is a great place to star because it's flexible and it's built into FCP (h264 is not a production format, Animation isn't either, nor is MPEG2).
    Render your sequences and export them as self-contained movies. Bring them into Compressor and (doh!) open that manual for a few hours of casual and frustrating reading. Compressor is where you will create your transcoded, encoded and compressed movie for delivery to the Web.
    What settings will you use in Compressor? Those are determined by your Web host's demands. The smoothest path to Web delivery is to give your Webhead a DV file and tell them to use their favorite compression and encoding tools to create their own favorite formats and bitrate settings.

  • How can I specify different settings in CustomSettings.ini based on the OS that is being deployed?

    I originally thought this could be achieved using "OSVersion" or "OSCurrentVersion" but (unless I'm mistaken) those variables are in fact tied to the OS from witch you actually launch the MDT Wizard right? i.e. say I run MDT from within
    Windows PE to deploy Windows 8. The "OSVersion" and "OSCurrentVersion" will contain values for the Windows PE instance that is currently running MDT and not the Windows 8 OS I am actually deploying right? Assuming that is the case then
    is there some variable in MDT that stores version information about the OS you are currently deploying? If so can I use that in CustomSettings.ini to specify different settings for specific OSes I deploy?

    Rens,
    First thanks for responding. Next please don't take my response the wrong way but this is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. Maybe I'm just "doing it wrong" but I have used the TaskSequenceID trick in the past and thats actually where my problem lies.
    Too many people are recommending this course of action without including the caveats. Your response implies that using TaskSequenceID is as simple as just adding "TaskSequenceID" to priority and then creating entries based on the TSIDs themselves.
    In reality getting this to work is far more challenging. One needs to only check the following threads (and several others) for the issues other people are having when they try to use TaskSequenceID in CustomSettings.ini:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/e17a1952-d1f7-41ef-8231-0d6fcc41882e/mdt-2012-settings-per-task-sequence?forum=mdt#f0810428-e6fd-468e-8c76-ca18b210c191
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/320aafee-07d2-4b96-9138-a902fec7edf5/mdt-2012-custom-rules-by-tasksequenceid-not-working-now
    In fact, following the steps outlined here was the *only* way I was able to get TaskSequenceID to work for me:
    http://www.the-d-spot.org/wordpress/2012/07/20/how-to-use-different-settings-per-task-sequence-with-mdt-2012/
    Even then its causing some erratic issues in some areas like button lag in the Wizard because ZTIGather has to run twice and pre-checked Applications in the wizard still installing even if they are unchecked. Since my needs are more OS-specific (as opposed
    to Task Sequence specific) I was hoping for a better solution. I suppose I can check BDD.log but I was hoping someone here had already encounter this same issue and hit upon a solution they could share.
    Anyone?

  • WH settings

    Hi all,
    User does not want to store more than one material in one bin.
    We need to just change the configuration settings in SPRO ( To choose the option mixed storage not allowed ).
          I know the solution but I just want to check its implications.
          Right now so many storage bins have more than material.
          I wish to know following
    1.       Whether we need to clear all the storage location bins which have multiple materials.
    2.       If we change the Mixed storage indicator in Storage type definition screen any other implications.
    Any helps??

    If you want store just one material in one bin, then you first have to clarify if you  mean one quant, or several quants of the same material.
    If really just one quant, then you should use next empty bin as strategy.
    If you use a different strategy then tell us which one.
    In general you can remove the mixed storage indicator, but this will certainly not clear your situation.
    Question is, did you really store that way (mixed) physically or did you physically do something different than in the system ?
    I ask this question as such a change is a realy big change, have not really seen this in reality.
    Are you sure that you have enough empty bins to take all the quant after you put them apart?
    After change of customizing, you have to create a transfer order with LT01, SAP will then suggest a target bin based on the new customizing. You will use the TO for physical movement as well. with each TO and its confirmation you clear the situation in your WH.

  • Color Settings - Illustrator

    What is the "BEST" policy for opening client files into a color managed environment? The risk of double-profiling runs deep. Printing from the APP directly or choosing the printers's driver interface changes the results. Just printing a raster file from Photoshop or Illustrator produces different results.
    Our settings are default to the global North American Prepress 2 and we have opened files under the policy to "Convert to working space" which was "Adobe RGB (1998)" for years until we finally profiled our systems with Monaco (now X-rite?) 6 years ago. Since that time we have set our RGB working space to that of the profiled monitors on each system.
    Opening a file with an embedded profile produces questions - basically: "keep, convert or toss?" Each choice produces wildly different results. Not only that - but doesn't printing from the target printers' driver (or RIP) require that you "turn off" color mangement from within the APPS (Photoshop/Illustrator) themselves?
    I remain convinced that the BEST POLICY is to open ANY file within your "working space" because that is your calibrated production FACT. Seeing it any other way - isn't reality, certainly not the reality found within the corral of your absolute production parameters.
    i.e. Photographers are now demanding that we use ProPhoto RGB as their intended production profile even though I don't know of any ink-jet/laser printer (pigment)that can even 'knock on the door" of that color space. Best to my knowledge - only a monitor (light) can approach that gamut.
    For these "distinctive" clients - how would YOU approach their file? Is it best to open:
    a) "converted to 'our native' working space" and then have a policy of "Soft-Proofing" the file via "View>Proof Setup>Custom" to see their profile within our working space?
    OR
    b) "preserve embedded profile" and then change our "RGB and CMYK working spaces" to the customers' systems profile' (as they want us to do). This seems not only counter productive to me...but introduces unintended values that now begin to richochet about in double-profiling issues.
    OR
    c) is it best to let the APP make the color-mangement decisions?
    OR
    d) is it best to let the printer driver (RIP) make those decisions?
    I know this is a loaded topic to respond to - so I'd equally appreciate any link to several good condensed answers.

    >Since that time we have set our RGB working space to that of the profiled monitors on each system.
    Why would you do such a thing?
    The entire point of profile-based color management is to work in a
    device indepedent space that assures the greatest working flexibility (e.g., file exchangeability) while maintaining color accuracy through final output. Conversion to the space of the output device -- whether that be a printer, a monitor, etc. -- is performed on the fly using the appropriate profiles.
    >I remain convinced that the BEST POLICY is to open ANY file within your "working space" because that is your calibrated production FACT.
    Working in (and tagging your files with) a space that is unique to your production environment -- as would be the case if you use a monitor profile created by a calibrator -- makes no sense unless
    your monitor is the
    only intended output device for your work and you're sure you would never be repurposing those files for other output.
    As for your color management workflow, it's difficult to recommend a specific practice without knowing, for example, exactly what kind of output services you provide to your photographers who are "demanding" a ProPhoto RGB "production" profile. Clearly, you want to keep space conversions to a minimum and avoid, whenever possible, conversions between widely different spaces.
    By converting all incoming files to your monitor space, you're violating the first -- and possibly the second -- of those "rules." You might also be doing serious harm to color rendition. Space conversions are not reversible, and a conversion from a wide space, such as ProPhoto RGB, to your monitor profile would entail loss of outlying color values that could never be recovered, regardless of the rendering intent used.
    Recommended reading are essays by Ian Lyons at
    his site
    and those by the late Bruce Fraser, which you can locate via a Google search. You might also search and ask questions over at the Color Management forum.
    This
    is an old article by Fraser that originally appeared in the now-defunct Adobe Magazine. It was written back when modern profile-based CM was just catching on, and the product references are dated. However, it contains excellent explanations of the basic concepts.

  • How do restore default settings in FCPX Compressor?

    How do I restore FCPX Compressor default settings. I lost them when adding a few custom settings.

    First, the B for Bold, I for Italics, etc, that you see above, often do not work, so you'll probably just see plus marks around some of the words below. Please play like these words are italicized since in reality these functions don't work consistently.
    I said.... +“she can't get a menu to come up for her Dock icons.”+ To spell that out.... when she chooses an Icon on the Dock, say for example, Address Book, then taps the touchpad with two fingers, no menu comes up, meaning the menu that gives you options, such as ‘quit’. I can't find what controls that function (the function that brings up that menu).
    I said she.... +“got excited about changing all the settings.... now it's all we can do to see the pages on her screen....”+ That means she went into System Preferences and changed color/screen/display/etc and all kinds of other settings that makes anything on-screen hard to see.
    I’d rather not have to try to find all the settings she changed and then change them back to the original settings. I thought there was a +restore to original settings+ on the computer. If there’s not, so be it. Spotlight couldn’t find one.

  • Why does compressor settings of aac audio, stereo, create 2 channel mono from 2 discrete audio channel movies?

    Why does compressor settings of aac audio, stereo, create 2 channel mono from 2 discrete audio channel movies?

    well depending on how your audio is brought into your system you can select it as two streams of mono or a stereo pair. In reality, unless it's mixed in stereo, that's just two streams of mono locked together. Other streams brought in via other means, can have a lot more audio channels, e.g. 8, 16, 24.
      In your case, with what you're doing, two separate channels works best, so you can control the levels of two very different audio sources. If, for instance, you were taking the feed from the mixing board during a concert, you might want their stereo out. Otherwise you might be dealing with the 1.2 zillion channels that they're mixing live.
       I like separating the tracks coming in. I work with people who prefer to lock them together. Locking means the tracks move together during editing. Ok, fine, but I'm usually dealing with different audio sources, like you are: a camera mic (safety on location) and a close mic (shotgun, lav). Or I have a shotgun source and a lav. I want to determine the best source audio for the shot. Sometimes it's a lav, sometimes a different feed from somewhere else, sometimes the shotgun, and sometimes a mix of two sources. But if they're locked together and pre-set to come out evenly from both speakers there no way for me to make a determination. The other guys like to cut and figure out the audio later.

  • Unique Data Record Settings in DSO

    Hello Experts,
    I have checked Unique Data Record Settings in DSO.
    Error Message while Activation of DSO through Process Chains.
    Records already available in Activation Table
    Duplicate Records
    Activation error occurs & it specifies the Req No/Record No.
    But in reality there are no duplicate records available in the specified Record No.
    I faced this issue several times, why does this happen.
    I guess this Unique Data Records Setting doesnt work.
    Regards,
    KV

    Hi,
    I am not sure why unique data setting is set, This is generally used when data with the same key will not come again or you are flushing the DSO and loading everyday. In normal cases it may happen for e.g there can be two records with the same sales document number as user might change the sales document twice.
    So i think in u r case u dont need the check mark. Let me know if u have doubt.

  • Place  value from Forms building in the collection Render Settings.

    Hello,
    I build a XML form with Forms builder. In one field you can select a <b>project-date</b>. Is it possible to export the  the value of this field in a LayoutSet?
    I used the standay LayoutSet <b>ConsumerExplorer</b> and would like to place the field <b>project-date</b> in this LayoutSet.
    I think you have to do this in the <i>Collection Renderer Settings -> Collection List Renderer Settings -> Displayed Properties.</i>
    The extra code that a placed in the Displayed Properties is: rnd:app_date(contentLink.)But still it is not working.
    Can someone help me with this or send me a link.

    Yes thanks Francois, I know perfectly well how dispatchCustomEvent() and WHEN-CUSTOM-ITEM-EVENT works, but please read the full context to understand what it is, that I actually ask about. Maybe a modification of your code (which is not possible in reality) can better demonstrate what I try to do.
      private void dispatchErrors(String message)
        log(message);
        try{
          CustomEvent ce = new CustomEvent(m_handler, THE_TAG_CODE);
          m_handler.setProperty(THE_TAG_CODE,message);
          returnValue = dispatchCustomEvent(ce);
          System.out.println(returnValue);
          catch (Exception e)
            e.printStackTrace();
      }In Forms
    DECLARE
       eventName varchar2(30) := :system.custom_item_event;
       eventValues ParamList;
       eventValueType number;
       tempString varchar2(100);
       returnValue varchar2(200);
    BEGIN
       IF (eventName='THE_TAG_CODE') THEN
          eventValues := get_parameter_list(:system.custom_item_event_parameters);
          get_parameter_attr(eventValues,'THE_TAG_CODE',eventValueType, tempString);
          select 'Returned from Forms ' || tempString
              into returnValue from dual;
          return_value_to_java(returnValue);
       END IF;
    END;Result: the Java console prints "Returned from Forms" + the parameter sent from Java originally.
    Does that make it more clear?

  • ActiveX settings in Internet Explorer for ZCI

    Hi all,
    regarding to SAP Note 766191 ACF needs several ActiveX components activated to work within a WebDynpro.
    I searched the SAP Notes database for similar notes regarding ZCI but didn't found any.
    After try and error I found out that ZCI needs the same ActiveX settings in the Internet Explorer like ACF as well.
    But the customer has all ActiveX components deactivated, so my question is:
    Is there an alternative for ActiveX or is ActiveX a must for working with IF (within WebDynpro)?
    Kind regrards,
    Alex

    Hello Maarten,
    sadly, your answer didn't help, because this is the same what SAP says.
    But "After try and error I found out that ZCI needs the same ActiveX settings in the Internet Explorer like ACF as well."
    This is the reality on my test system. I created a ZCI form, added the necessary scripting, changed the layout type for the form / for the WebDynpro ABAP to ZCI / native and it only works pretty fine as long as I have the named ActiveX components activated...
    Maybe you would like to test it on one of your systems, I would be interessted if you had the same problem when deactivating the ActiveX components.
    Besides, my test system is the SAP NW2004s Trial Version with SP12 right here from the SDN and I connected another Trial Version of NW2004s with a Java Stack.
    Kind regards,

  • Connecting guitar to line in - reality check

    Hi all, just looking for a reality check. I tried plugging in my acoustic guitar directly to the line-in yesterday, and found it was very quiet even at max volume. After reading some of the posts here, it seems perhaps that a little preamp is in order. If I use an acoustic amp wtih a line out, should that give me sufficient signal to be able to record satisfactorily? I have tried (i think) all the settings in System Preferences as far as line in and audio/MIDI.
    Also, since its a mono 1/4" plug, should i be sure to use a mono 1/8" adapter? Only one I had was stereo, and it occurred to me that might be splitting the signal somehow.
    total newbie to mac and recording, really love the forums here.. one of my big factors for making The Switch.
    thanks,
    adam

    my guitar cable has a mono jack
    Hmmm, I assume you mean "Plug" and not "jack", yes?
    and my adapter is a 1/4 female to 1/8 male stereo.
    Okay, I was betting that the 1/4 female jack was a 1/4" stereo jack, in which case it wouldn't matter at all.
    If it actually IS a 1/4" mono to 1/8" stereo, I don't think it should matter with a decent signal, though you could create a stereo track, or record to two separate tracks, if you wanted (keeping in mind that it still won't actually BE stereo, it'll just be dual mono).
