X11 not responding, packages not installing
So, my X11 has not been working for awhile. Things that have been affected are apps like virtualbox and onyx. Also I cannot install any packages. It fails after it gets to "Running Package Scripts". Here is the messages I get from console

I have CrossOver running on my IMac but after i upgraded to Mountain Lion I keep getting an error saying "System component X11, is not installed" Please install the X11 application using the Optional Installs package on your Mac OS X install disc.
How to install this when I have downloaded the upgrade ???X11's basically gone in ML. DL and install XQuartz 2.7.3.

I'm perplexed. I'm trying to install X11.app from my Tiger DVD and am failing miserably.
I've tried installing:
XcodeTools.mpkg
X11SDK.pkg
I do a search, still no app called x11.app
What do i need to install?????

X11 is included in the Tiger DVD, but it is not installed by default. To install X11:
Install the Tiger DVD in drive.
Use Spotlight to search for a file named X11User.pkg It is probably located in /Volumes/Mac OS X Install DVD/System/Installation/Packages
Click on package to begin installation process.

I Tunes will not install. I get this error message: There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Does anyone have an answer?

There have been a number of problems with installing the latest iTunes on Windows 7 64-bit machines during the last couple of weeks. You might want to do a search on that topic and see if anyone has a solution. There have been various versions of the problem but a lot related to errors in the download package or failure to download.

I installed windows 7 on my iMac 21.5 (late 2009) and when I boot windows 7, the lag drivers are missing and bootcamp is not installed. The windows package would not download through bootcamp, even when left alone for 2 hours. Don't have the lion disk... Drivers seem impossible to get. Please help!

Well, the quick summary that you are not going to like: This system is pretty short on RAM and processor power, your graphics driver is outdated and you are using two screens with different resolutions, which eats up all graphics acceleration plus your card has only 256 MB of VRAM in the first place, which doesn't meet the requirements. You will never be able to use 3D under those conditions.

Adobe Reader 9 will not install reporting installatiom package could not be opened
I have WIN XP PRO with SP3. This is a new machine and is running beautifully except Adobe Reader 8 or 9 will not install.
At about 94% done the Adobe Download manager stops and shows the following Windows Installer message
The installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer Package.
Of course when I click OK. I get the message from the downloader that "Installation operation completed successfully". Which of course is not true.

Your solution to unregister and register msiexec did not resolve the problem, but it got me thinking and I continued looking down this line of thought through the Microsoft KB articles. There I found a comment per security rights authorization. I had been using an account with administrator rights, but I tried again using the actual administrator account. This worked fine. iTunes not installing. Windows XP, SP3. Mesage reads:" The feature you are trying to use is ona network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package iTunes.msi in the box below. iTunesSetup.exe shows in my download folder, but it will not install.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Firefox frequently 'not responding' having auto-installed version 10 yesterday. No previous problems. Have disabled all plugins and uninstalled and then re-installed Firefox several times today. Problem persists making continued use of this browser very unlikely unless a quick solution is found! Can anyone help please?

Camera Raw will not install on my mac,os 10.7.5. When I click on the install package the main install screen opens and that is as far as I can proceed with the down load. I have to force quit the software and try again. I have deleted and downloaded the software several times to no avail. I need some help.
Appreciate your help Ian and others. I have since uninstalled FCS and reinstalled FCXP only to get the same thing. Loading FCXP stalls at "Looking for Compressor Support". When I first downloaded FCXP from the App store I didn't notice that FCS was being placed in it's own folder. It's not something I did manually. Although moved into it's own folder with FCXP on the same drive. I was not able to open FCS apps. They would load and then "quit unexpectantly". They opened just fine before I downloaded FCXP. Do I need to purchase Compressor so that FCXP recognizes it? It seems this is where it stalls. It doesn't explain however why my computer "FREEZES" while doing this. I am in the process of re-installing Lion to see if this helps, otherwise I am at a complete loss.

I'm so blessed that they agreed to changed my unit to new one. At first the manager opened four boxes of new unit for me to check if facetime is there and he reassured me there's new batch of iphone5 coming on 2nd day. So i went back and he changed it to new one.. .Now im satisfied..

Acrobat package does not install cs7
When attempting to deploy a CS7 Acrobat Package to Windows 7, the installer finishes running, and Acrobat is listed in Programs and Features, but Acrobat is not installed or listed in Program Files. We have tried creating and installing both a 64-bit and 32-bit package with no luck.
Same problem here, hopefully staff member can help, customers waiting..

Adobe Professional MSI package not installing
Hello, I have downloaded the Adobe Professional MSI package from the Creative Cloud Packager but the application will not install. I have tried both 32bit and 64 bit versions to no avail.

Any help that could be provided would be greatly appreciated.Download, install,then run and remove Adobe Reader 6 using the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. Now try the 9.2 installation again.

When I do double-click a dialogue box appears which says "OpenOffice.org for Mac OS X cannot be started, because the X11 software is not installed. Please install Apple X11 first from the Mas OS x install DVD. More information: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/faq/installing/X11.html". Please note that I can open all these docs OK from within Word etc (i.e. by going File / Open .....)
Not having the Apple Install disk with me (I am traveling at the moment) I made some investigations and downloaded Open XML File Format Converter for Mac v 1.0 but clearly this has not solved the problem as I hoped.

For some reason, the default on your docs has been changed.
If you right-click the document in question and select "Open With" and then select "Other" and browse to your MS Office Word app, you can select it. Be sure to check "Always Open With" to make it the default for the future so you do not have to repeat this procedure.
