X1935 cand find my Timeleak HD72b pcie capture card.

I have a aspire x1935 desktop.  I read all the help files in the discussions about not finding the pcie card.I added a password in the american megatrends bios and It dosent change the security in the bios.  I upgradedthe bios to A2.  I reinstalled windows 7 and the acer drivers.  still no discovery of the pcie card.   I finally nstalledthe drivers for the device using the Legacy intaller.    Now I get this error : the device cannot start (code 10). am I missing a acer driver for pcie or bios driver?  How do I cure this problem.  (The device works fine on a gigabyte board)   I would appreiate anyones help before this computer turns into a boat anchor. Robert

Regarding my x1935, I have tried a safe mode boot, I also tried reinstalling acers window 7 backup downloaded and reinstalled acers motherboard drivers and flashed the bios to the latest version and still the HDMI hd dvr capture card is not detected by windowws 7. Can some one help...
I have been working on this problem for the last two weeks and its very frustrating.

  • PCI Video Capture Cards for PowerPC?

Hi, I have a few PowerPC macs and I want to record some videogame game play via svideo (composite if svideo isn't an option) on them via a PCI capture card. Can anyone give me a few recommendations for cards to purchase? I do not want a USB or Firewire capture device, and it needs to be real time because I would be playing it through my monitor as it records. Preferably OS9 AND OSX compatible, though either or is perfectly fine. I don't care what format it records in or the compression, as I can deal with that later. Thanks.

Be careful to get a money back guarantee on any Avid Video capture cards.  I assisted a wedding videographer who spent seventeen thousand dollars on an elaborate capture and editing system based on NuBus cards for 8100 PPCs and the company never got it to work properly without constant crashing.  I am sure that Avid has gone on to produce some quality equipment based on lessons learned in the 1990s but that 8100 generation of cards was worthless.
I am interested in doing the same thing you are looking for so I will post back with what I find.  Just avoid being the guinea pig for some company who does not have the details worked out.

  • Recommendations for Video capture card

Been capturing video via firewire through a VX2000. Using it as a A/D converter.
I would like to install an internal capture card in a dual G4 running OS 10.4.8.
    Suggestions?
    Steve

OK Steve, first off no one is making PCI capture cards anymore...an there is no HD card made for PCI at all. PCI-X and PCIe only. Second, that computer cannot handle HD captured via a capture card. HDV, DVCPRO HD...yes (pushing it). XDCAM...maybe (pushing it). Uncompressed HD? Heck no.
Not only do you need the HD capture card, but you need a high speed RAID array..and there isn't one made that interfaces with PCI. You gotta get a new machine. The one you are on will handle SD only.
With the new machine, the cheapest option is the Decklink INTENSITY PRO. This has analog ins and outs, installs in the computer (PCIe only), and runs about $400. COmponent, s-video and composite and HDMI connections only. NO SDI or HD SDI...which are the better connections for high end work.
Then you need an HD monitor...which isn't cheap. And again, the RAID array...
But...all this is getting complicated. What format of HD are you intending to work with in the near future? HDV, or HDCAM? DVCPRO HD? XDCAM? Uncompressed HD? This determines everything.
Yes, video is expensive. HD even more so. DV is cheap...HDV CAN be cheap, but get expensive if you want to do it properly.

  • 1802 Error Message on installation of Broadcom Mini-PCI Wireless Card

I am getting an 1802 error message on boot when I install the Broadcom Mini-PCI wireless card. I know it has something to do with some code IBM put into the BIOS or CMOS to check the cards for manufacturer or something like that. Is there anyway around this message or do I have to try and find an IBM mini-PCI wireless card for this machine?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

All depends on how one defines success...
To put it this way: A3x machines are very unpredictable and moody when it comes to these issues, and you're talking to someone who has owned over a hundred A31p ThinkPads, not counting A30/p and A31 units along the way. More than once I've faced a scenario where the card that worked "out of the box" in one machine required a hack in the next one...
    But to answer your question:
    Can it be done? Absolutely.
Do I recommend it? Absolutely not.
IBM-issued (with a proper FRU number) Intel 2200BG should work in your machine with no hack. Some people have reported this experience even with generic card of the same type.
    Hope this helps.

  • PCI video card replacement for PowerMac G3 (Blue and White)

Hi, I am new to this forum. I apologize if this issue has been addressed before, but I have been reading over the forum for the last 2 days and tried all the steps I could find. I have an old PowerMac G3 (Blue and White).
It used to run fine. I had a friend with a similar computer and he
needed a video card, so I gave him the one in my Mac G3, because I was not using it at the time.
Now, I have decided I want to use it. I am running into an issue with the video (It takes PCI), I get no display, but I can hear the hard drive spin, it lights up, I hear the Apple "ding".
I have about 6 PCI video cards laying around, and I have tried all of them, resetting the CUDA each time. Still cannot get a display.
I have tried different slots on the motherboard, checked the PRAM battery, (it was good). Tried booting off a live Linux CD for power PCs, tried the commandoption+pr until I hear the apple "ding" go off 2x, I have tried a different monitor and monitor cable.
Nothing seems to work, I need to know what I should try next.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

"I have about 6 PCI video cards laying around, and I have tried all of them, resetting the CUDA each time. Still cannot get a display."
If these graphics cards are designed for use in PCs, they won't work in your Mac. Compatible graphics cards must be programmed with a Mac ROM. Some "PC" cards can have their EEPROM chip flashed with a Mac ROM, provided that someone has extracted the particular Mac ROM code for the card in question. A web search will provide leads for that. If you just want a decent graphics card, go for a Radeon 7000 Mac Edition (2002 vintage card). If you check eBay, you should be able to find a flashed "PC" Radeon 7000 card. I'd try to get the one with 64 MBs of DDR memory, as opposed to the 32 MB model. If you don't mind spending more $$, you can find a more current PCI graphics card for your G3, like the Radeon 9200 at Other World Computing.

  • Capture cards and prod. monitors

We are looking to add a PCIe capture card and reasonably priced production monitor to our new MacPro system. My search results mostly pointed toward card pre-PCIe. Any insight into a good pairing would be helpful.
We are not looking at doing any HD at this time, broadcast is questionable. Mostly out to DVD and presentation type work.
    Thanks in advance!

  • What is the BEST cable connection from Canopus ADVC 300 to Black Magic Intensity Pro HDMI PCI Express Capture Card?

I must connect an ADVC 300 to a Black Magic Intensity Pro HDMI PCI Express Capture Card.   For best quality, which cable should I use?
On the ADVC 300 there are outputs of firewire, S-VHS and RCA.
On BMPro it's a little confusing. On the breakout cable there are connectors that say:
    -5 B-Y OUT
    -4 Y OUT
    -3-R-Y OUT
    -7-R-Y IN
    -8-Y IN
    -9 B-Y IN
    -15 AUDIO IN RIGHT
    -10 AES/EBU OUT
    -12 AUDIO LEFT OUT
    -14 AUDIO LEFT OUT
    -13 AUDIO RIGHT OUT
With the BMPro, there is also a separate, shorter cable.  On one end it looks like S-VHS and on the other there are two connectors, one black and one blue.
On the actual BMPro Express card strip instead of using the breakout cable, there is HDMI IN (and HDMI OUT).
How should I connect this?  Is there an adapter cable of FIREWIRE TO HDMI?
    Any help is much appreciated.

Well, when I researched how best to digitize VHS (into Final Cut Pro 7), I learned two of the best devices to use are BMPro and Canopus ADVC 300.  I’m using the ADVC 300 for the built-in time base corrector.  I definitely want to use that to stabilize the video.  I also read how well BMPro improves image quality.  So, I thought to use the two together must produce outstanding quality (well, as good as VHS can be).
Perhaps I got confused into thinking I can use both.  But the BMPro appears to have an S-VHS adapter.
I guess I’m wondering what is better quality:
Run the firewire from the Canopus ADVC 300 converter directly into the firewire port on the Mac Pro
Or, run an S-VHS cable from the Canopus ADVC 300 into the BMPro Capture card
(I should mention that I have purchased all these items and already have the BMPro Card installed so at this point it’s not a cost issue, but rather an issue of simply which works best?)

  • HT1918 what is the postal-code for lebanon ? I cand find it :(

what is the postal-code for lebanon ? I cand find it

From a quick search, some of the results that I've found seem to imply that Lebanese addresses can have postal codes, which consist of 8 numbers - the first 4 for the region, the second 4 for the building. Are you being forced to enter a post code ?
What sort of visa card are you trying to add, debit or credit ? If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined
If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

  • Can Any one please help me find a compatible Wireless N MINI PCI Express Card for my HP G50-133us?

I have a HP G50-133US notebook, it currently has a Atheros AR5007 802.11b/g WiFi Adapter. I am looking to upgrade it to a B/G/NWiFi Card. I can find plenty of Mini Pci-Express Wireless N cards but not sure if they are compatible. Does anyone know if as long as it is Mini PCI-Express and have the correct drivers this would work? Or does anyone know if a known working upgrade that would work? Any help would be appreciated!! Thank you!.

You MUST get an HP branded wi-fi card AND it has to be on the "white list" for your computer in the BIOS or the card will block the computer from booting with an error message. Here is a link to your Manual:
    Manual
Page 19 starts the list of known compatible wifi cards.
You can search eBay by part number for the card and likely find one at a decent price.

  • PCI-GPIB card cannot find instruments in Windows 7

hello, i am new to use Labview to control lab equipments. would be very appreciated any help in advance. Here is my case.
We have two NI PCI-GPIB card in lab. They are working well in old PCs with Windows XP. I installed them to new PC with Windows 7 enterprize edition. Labview version is 2014. The NI-488.2 14.0 and Ni-VISA 14.0.1 is also installed.
when running NI MAX, i could see PCI-GPIB card, so far everthing is fine, no error code. But when i click scan for instruments. there is no result, also no error code message. I borrowed a GPIB-USB-HS controller from another lab. It woks well with the same GPIB cable and equipment. i could see the equipment and communicate. i tried both our PCI-GPIB card and got the same result.
Does someone happen to see the similar problem?
    Thank you.
    Yutong

Hi thanks for looking into my problem. here is some update.
first, i installed the PCI card to the new PC, it does not work as described above. then, i took it from the PC and installed the GPIB-USB-HS controller. It works well to find our equipment and everything is fine.
second, the oringinal old pc with this PCI card is down, so i used another old pc. this makes problems more complicated. i installed the PCI card on the old PC and it not work. then I connected the USB controller, it works fine. same problem as the new PC.
third, i tried both PCI card. they have the same problem. i think it is unlikely these two cards are both damaged.
I also followed instruction from  KnowledgeBase 1UO68A5P: "Scan for Instruments" Fails in Measurement & Automation Explorer. does not improved. the settings of PCI card is shown as attached.
    thank you.

  • KONA LSe PCIe SD capture card.

    Hello there...
Just wanted to pick your brains... I've just finished a long run of work and the boss wants to sort out the edit suite and see if we can improve overall performance etc...
One of the things that was recommended to him by another editor was to invest in a KONA LSe PCIe SD capture card... which sounds all very good but we only shoot on DVcam...
However, even though we won't capture any 10/8 bit uncompressed, am i right in thinking the card would be useful in handling effects etc, therefore reducing the strain/workload on the processors?
In a nutshell... is there any advantage to installing this card, even though we NEVER capture uncompressed media?
    Thanks for your opinions.
    J,

Increased performance? Render handling? RT effects? Not if you capture DV via firewire. You might get slight performance improvements with footage you captured with the card, but it will not enhance anything, really. Definately not firewire captures. The HD cards do some load bearing processing for HDV and DVCPRO HD, but nothing considerable.
If you capture, edit, and output DV, there is no reason to get this card.

  • Pcie frame grabber/capture card

Could anyone suggest a compatible (v4l support) frame grabber/capture card.
main concerns are that i dont have to write a driver/api for this card (instead i want to jump right in to writing some capture code), linux compatability and it must be PCIe   x1 to x16 should be fine.
Any input connection, though I dont think i can do much with dvb-t/terrestrial..
    Thank you!

All input sources are acceptable dvb-t/terrestrial.
    Analogue/S-video/composite/vga/DVI/HDMI are all good
    PCIe is mandatory, yes.
    Cheers ;D
P.S.  The frame grabber will be used to test my rtp project

  • Where can I find the driver for PCI-GPIB drivers for Windows XP

We have PCI-GPIB cards work well under Win2k Pro and WinME, but when we try to mount the card to a WinXP machine and install the same driver as used under Win2k, and whenever I try scan instruments in Measurement & Automation, the system crashes and dumps the memory.
Is there a specific driver for PCI-GPIB working under Windows XP? Thanks

    Hello,
I don't know what GPIB driver version you have but you can go to the following webpage in order to get the latest GPIB driver (version 2.0) available.
