X2-01 Security codes unlock

How do I type hard-reset codes when I can't use keypad because device requests Security codes when switches on?

Hi, Voguish.
Welcome to Nokia Support Discussions Forum!
Have you personalized the code on your phone? If yes, the code that will be used in doing the hard reset will be the same code that you need to enter in the security code. If you haven't changed the phone's code you can use the default code which is 12345.

I set the secuirity code in my mobile, when Alarm ring the security code unlocked automatically, how can I secure my mobile.

You should never post your IMEI number on the internet as criminals can use it for dodgy purposes.
The default security code is 12345, if this has been changed and you have forgotten the code then you will need to visit a nokia care point/service centre.
They will be able to reset the code but you will lose all stored data. They will need to see proof of purchase before performing this procedure to ensure that you are it's rightful owner.
It is not possible to reset it yourself.

  • Unlock Security Code of the device

I have a problem with a Blackberry Torch.
I use a security code for the device, now i have try 8 times the correct code acces, but the phone don't accept this code.
How can i unlock the phone?
    Thx!

If you remember the password write it down, make sure you are putting the characters correctly, at the last instance it will wipe all data from your device. You can wait for some time, do a battery pull and check if it starts from 2/10. Chances are you are making a small mistake. If you have all your data backed up you can proceed till eht security wipe. The device password is not recoverable if forgotten as a security measure.

how do you unlock ipod touch security code

As far as I'm aware you're referring to the passcode. It seems that you've forgot the passcode that you've inserted, so your best bet is to connect your iPod to iTunes and have it restored back to factory settings. You'll be able to find the restore button by clicking on your iPod's name that's located right below the "Device's Tab."

  • Unlocking/resetting the security code!

Today I tried to insert a sim into my old Nokia phone, it is an E52. it seems that I have left a setting on which requires security code if the sim is changed, but this phone is about 3 years old and I haven't used it for a long time so I cannot remember my security code.
The information in the phone such as SMS and phonebook is very important for me, so I don't want any solutions that resets the phone and wipes everything. the phone is not locked if I don't insert a sim, so I rather keep like this and not use it if there is no safe way to reset/change/unlock the security code. but I really need another phone right now, and I don't want to spend money if I could unlock this.
I have googled about this but I am not sure what is the safest way to unlock the phone while keeping my data. I found this website and it claims that it could unlock the phone but it doesn't look safe to me... what should I do? please help!

  • Can't unlock N8, Security Code Error

    Hi,
I turned off my N8 Belle recently, turned it back on and it won't accept the security code, it just says "code error" when I type it.
What's going on? Now I can't unlock my phone to use it.
I haven't forgotten the code, it's the same one I've been using on phones for years and I've tried defaults such as 1234, 12345, 0000, 00000000.
    Thanks,
    Peter

Don't know whether Post #5 here of any value http://forum.dailymobile.net/index.php?topic=64440.0 otherwise looks like visit to Nokia Care facility to reset lock code to default 12345 and possibly completely re-install device software looks likely.

  • Security Code V.s Unlocking Code

    Guys,
I've been reading the forum for a couple of weeks and have found it most informative. However I have a query which I'd like to clear up.
I have an old 8910 and was planning of passing this onto my father, it was previously used on O2 and my father's network is Orange, when we put the SIM in it is asking for a security code, I assume this is the security code and not an unlocking code it is wanting? It's just that I've tried all the security codes I thought I would have changed it to and neither of them work.
I just want to confirm that this is the security code and not an unlocking code as I don't want to look stupid when I take it to a Nokia Servicepoint! Thanks.
    Chris

It is the security code asked when the setting to require it when a SIM is changed. By default on a phone that stting is off (and the default value for the code is 12345).

  • Phone Unlock/Security Codes

    PIN (Personal Identification Number) Code
This is the SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card PIN code which is only available from your network.
    PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code
If you enter the wrong PIN Code more than 3-5 times you will require the PUK Code to unlock the SIM card. Once again this code is only available from your network.
    Security/Lock/Unlock Code
The default unlock for most Nokia phones is 12345 unless you have changed it. Normally this code can only be reset by the Nokia Care Points. You will need to provide proof of purchase. However a few S60 models can be reset to the default code by reformatting the phone.
There have been cases of this code being changed by certain networks. When this is the case, the security code will be on the label on the box, close to the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identifier) number. This number will be a 5 digit number but not necessarily marked as a security code.
Some S40 5th edition phones, such as the 6500 Slide or 6301, don't always have a preset lock code. In these cases, you will be prompted to create the code the first time you try to perform an action that needs one (such as clearing logs or restoring factory settings). You can also create the code from the Settings>Security>Access Codes menu.
    Restriction Code
This is the code to remove networks restrictions (also known as a SIM lock) and is available from the network. See this post for instructions on how to use this code.

  • HT1688 Having trouble unlocking my iPhone 4S with my security code. The phone locks up mid way. Have to hard boot to restart phone. Anyone else experience this. Phone was updated to iOS 7.0.2.

Updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 7.0.2 and now I'm experience a lock up when plugging in my security code. I type the first 2 numbers and a freeze happens. The phone won't accept anything further. I have to hard boot the phone to restart. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Generally, when going out of the country and using a foreign SIM, carrier files can be changed. Go to Settings>General>About>and look at Carrier? What does it say? You may have to perform a restore. You can try a restore from a backup, that would reinstall the iOS, and would provide the latest AT&T carrier file as well. See if this will fix the problem.

  • Unlock security code on 2626

My friend was playing with the security code on my phone earlier trying to guess it, problem now is that the real code won't work.
Anyway that I can solve this?

    Try it and find out.
If it doesn't work you need to take it to a nokia care point with your proof of purchase and they will reset the code for you.

    Solved!
