X2-02 sms not received

Hi all,
My Nokia X2-02 has 2 sims in it and is 6 months old. Suddenly for a week it did not receive any sms. I tried a lot; though there were "delivered to" reports on the sender mobile, there were nothing displayed on my mobile. After restarting the mobile I received more than 100 sms in 2 minutes.

You should clear out/back up if required your inbox/sent folders how many sms is in your device?

SMS piggyback on your phone line and is a carrier service.
You should make sure your carrier has your text plan properly provisioned.

TS3672 SMS not received correctly to email

I have updated my iPhone 4S to the new ios 6 upgrade. Since doing so when I send a SMS to an email the other person has to download my message before reading it. Is this an upgrade issue or do I need to change a setting? Thanks for any help!

HELP - not receiving sms on android after using ichat

For the past 3 months, I have lost the ability to receive SMS texts about once a month.
The first time it happened right after I sent somone an ichat on my ipad. Up until then, I had not used ichat for about one year, which is when I went from an iPhone to an android (and I have not used it since then either). I did some research online and found some suggestions on how to fix the issue. A few forums suggested removing my cell phone # from my Apple Support profile. A few others said to change my apple password. I did both and my messages started coming in about 3 days after they stopped.
About 3 weeks later, I stopped receiving them again. I looked at my Apple Support profile and found that my cell phone # had been added back in. Thinking that maybe Apple has some job that runs every so often and repopulates information on blank fields, I removed my cell phone # again and entered a bogus #.
Couple days ago I stopped receiving texts again. I looked at my Apple Support profile and found that the bogus # is still listed so that was not what fixed it the first time.
I have called ATT (my carrier) repeatedly and they have tried to trouble shoot my problem with no success. They suggest that it's only something that Apple can fix. I have also called Apple and they suggest that it's an ATT issue. No one has been able to help me. It really surprises me that this is not a known issue with a fix.
So here is the problem in a nutshell:
I am not receiving sms texts on my android, from anyone at all.. doesn't matter what kind of phone they have or who their carrier is.
I DO receive mms texts.
All of my texts are going through no probelm.
Does anyone have any clue how I can stop this from happening every few weeks? I want to stick with my current phone until the next iPhone comes out. Any leads on this issue are greatly appreciated!

I just don't understand what you mean by "invites". What kind of "invite" did you send "from another gmail to gmail"?
What about a simple email? Do you receive simple email messages to that address?

SMS reply to my mobile is not received; U.S. to Sa...

I am not receiving replies to SMS messages I am sending to Samoa. The recipient there is receiving MY message, but I am not getting the response via my mobile like I should be. Please advise.

My C6-01 not receiving SMS

Hi,
My C6-01 has stopped receiving SMSs after I upgraded to Symbian Anna last week. It always falsh when new SMS received but when I select show it does not display new SMS just old SMS from last week only. On home screen it flash that unread SMS icon but dont show SMS. I tried restart 3-4 times but its not receiving or probably not displaying new SMSs. I just have about 50 SMS in my existing inbox so space is not the issue. I appreciate any help.

Thanks for your reply, you must have been right! since a day or 2 it's just started working again. I'm assuming indeed there was a problem with the provider, maybe the old messages were removed from the pipeline as you said and all is well now. I must say I love symbian anna, it's much smoother and much more stable. My phone hasnt crashed yet, as with the symbian^3 it came with, it did that a lot.

Iphone 5s not receiving imessages or sms after ios 8.1 update

Since updating to iOS 8.1 this morning I have not received any iMessages or SMS, despite my wife having told me she has sent numerous messages to me today! Anyone else have this problem, and any ideas as to how to resolve it? Thanks.

I had this problem too. Upgraded this morning and didn't receive any messages all day. Got home and looked at my iPad and found that I'd missed several messages.
Turned out that iMessage was switched off. Don't know why that would be the case... but I went into Settings -> Messages, saw that it was now off, switched it on, and all is back to normal.

Not receiving sms texts and cant open BBM messages!!! PLEASE HELP

I am not receiving SMS texts although I know people have been sending them to me. I've had friends text me to see and they dont come through. I am also receiving BBM messages but cannot open them in my messenger! I really only communicate via these two means and really need help! I hate the people at the Sprint store and DO NOT want to have to go there...again.

Do not receive verification codes through SMS on N...

Hi, I do not receive verification code sent from viber or any such app.
Why is that so?
I am using Nokia Lumia 900.(ATT carrier)
Can any one help me...! Please.

You should contact Viber directly, or the other developers concerning your verification request. If the verification is by SMS, contact your operator.

SMS Messages--can send but not receive--why?

I can send SMS messages from my desktop or laptop through the Skype webpage, but if someone tries to respond, they get an error message that says, "failed message". Why can I not receive SMS messages back to my Skype account online?

I would make sure that you have the personal BIS account enabled on your carrier account.

Not receiving all SMS txt messages from other carriers

I've noticed that i'm not receiving some txt messages from what appears to be Verizon customers.... it happens during pockets of time. I have not been able to track the exact timeframes. is anyone else having sporadic issues receiving SMS from other carriers? i know of atleast 3 friends that have replied to messages from me that i never received the response.

I'm curious. Did you port your number from Verizon when you activated the iphone? I was having the same problem with not being able to receive text messages from my Verizon friends. It turns out Verizon didn't completely disable my number on their end even though the phone number was ported. It took someone from technical support at AT&T to call Verizon while was on the phone and explain the problem to Verizon. Verizon then disconnected my number on its end and it wasn't until then that I started receiving text messages from Verizon users.

Can send SMS but not receive after update...

After updating my iPhone 4S to ios6 i have problems with receiving messages.I can send SMS but not receive. What to do?

Although I don't believe in consequences, I think this might be one of them. My email was working fine until I installed my VPN. I use the Thunderbird email application, which I like a lot, for three Hotmail accounts and two Yahoo accounts. After installing the VPN I could receive mail but could not send it on any of my accounts. I contacted the VPN and they sent me some numeric IP Addresses to put in my account settings. One for the Hotmail accounts and one for the Yahoo accounts. I did as instructed and the email seemed to work okay. It was late in the evening and I went to bed. The next morning, I could send and receive emails on the Yahoo accounts, but could only send emails on all of the Hotmail accounts.
I guess I'd like to know if anyone else is having this same problem. I'd hate to think it was just me. :-)
I would like for Thunderbird to tell me if there is a way to change the outgoing server in the Account Settings, so I can enter the IP Address in there, or does the fact that I entered an IP Address in the Server Name box, cause it to override any other entries? Or should that even make a difference with me receiving mail?
Also, at what time limit does Thunderbird send back a message that the connection to the server timed out? I continually get that message.
I found a way to do a ping on the Hotmail server and the fastest response time for the last two days was 258.09 which seems very slow for a business computer. At least for a business that wants to stay in business. So is that time above the Thunderbird threshold of the connection time out message to be generated?

Not receiving sms

I need help because my phone will not receive text messages. I can send them just find, but I can't receive them. I called apple and the lady there told me just to reset my phone, which obviously didn't work. Any suggestions on what I can do?

I'm having the same issue since changing my phone number. I get sms text messages from At&t customers only. It's an At&t issue although they will insist you go through Apple tech support. Have the Apple tech person contact At&t while you're on the phone with them and he or she will get the ball rolling At&t tech support. For whatever reason At&t tech will forward any problems with the iPhone to Apple even though this is clearly an At&t network issue. As it is right now, they're still trying to get it to work. Good luck.

N9 not receiving SMS's

A friend of mine has an N9 and it's not receiving SMS's.
What could the problem be and what could they do to get it working again?
They've tried restarting the phone, and sending an SMS to themself.

Would be interested if this has started after updating to latest v30.2012.07-1_PR_001 or not. Strange as you might expect to receive SMS but not send if issues with message centre number. It might be an idea to check in Settings > Applications > Messages > Message centre number - where default is to use from SIM card:
