X220 connection to older tv with video and audio inputs

I want to connect to tv with video and audio inputs , I think it is rca style. what adapters do I need to connect my x220. Thanks

so you are using s-video or RCA connection right?
If you using analogue connection like s-video and RCA, it is best to get a VGA to RCA/S-video adapter for the video to the TV. For the audio get a 3.5 mm headphone jack to rca adapter plug.

You may need a 3rd party application to view the DVD in a wWindows format such as

  • TS3623 I rented a movie and can watch preview perfectly with video and audio feed as signal strength is at top when I checked. However, when I purchased rental video is fine , but I get scratched sound for audio. Any thoughts to fix?

I rented a movie and can watch preview perfectly with video and audio feed as signal strength is at highest when I checked. However, when I purchased rental video is fine , but I get scratched sound for audio. Any thoughts to fix? I rented movie within week and it worked. All previews of movies and show also works.

I have a suspicion that the problem is not in the recording device itelf, but rather in the playback-software, which is struggling with an unfamiliar audio format/codec/whatever-it's-called... I opened the file in QuickTime Player 7 (7.6.6) and selected "Show Movie Properties" and it says:
    "Video Track: H.264
    Sound Track: Integer (Little Endian)"
All current Mac systems support Integer (both Big and Little Endian) audio natively. The fact you can hear anything at all proves that the audio is playing back. The most likely problem would be a malfunction associated with the mic pickup.

  • Connecting a Satellite A200 to a TV with video and audio.

I have a Satellite A200 and was wondering what cables will connect it to my TV with both Video and Audio. I have an S-Video cable at the moment but I need the sound out of the TV.
    Thanks.

The problem is that s-video cable doesnt transmit the audio signal but only video.
If you want to get the sound on TV you will have to use an additional RCA cable.

  • Working with Video and Audio...Please help (i am not a coder!)

Hey all. I am currently working on a project in Flash (CS3
    action 2.0)
It is an animation and it includes a layer mask of a TV
screen, which shows a precut quicktime movie on the screen.
I am working with multiple scenes (11 to be exact) they are
    all my different cut points.
The animation consists of 1st scene- VO (voice over) and BG
SFX. When I hit Apple+Enter this part plays sync'd up correctly.
However as the scenes progress on the sound gets out of whack.
Scene 2 consists of the quicktime movie (Video and Audio)
mask playing on the screen. All sound heard is a part of the .mov.
For this one the timing is also good.
Here is where it gets fluky. The next scene consists of a VO
and BG SFX. (and only those things) However, at this point of the
movie i hear the sound of the next .mov i have embedded in the file
(from scene 3). This is all happening well before that scene even
    shows up in the preview.
I hope i explained it as clearly as possible. Anyone have any
ideas?! I would greatly appreciate it!
btw- i have set the frame rate to 29fps to match that of the
    quicktime movies that are embedded.

Hi Brian, I don't mean to nit-pick but this is an
actionscript 3 forum, so you'd probably have better luck with the
    general forum for non-AS3 questions.
There could be a couple of things that are causing a problem,
its hard to say without actually having your project on hand.
It almost sounds like your movie is taking longer to load, if
thats the case you could simply start the audio a little later in
the time line to sync it up.
I know you don't want coding solutions but you can probably
have flash "wait" for the movie to begin playing, and have that act
as the starting point for the audio.

  • Having problems with Video and Audio

Hi - I am new to Captivate.  I have created a demostration with about 85 slides with audio on each slide.  When I preview the project all is fine.  When I publish the swf and htm and play on my machine all is fine.  However when my colleagues try and listen to the demo, the video and audio get out of sync.  The audio seems to go faster than the video.  I am not sure if it is due to the sound speeding up or the video slowing down.  Has anybody seen this bfore ?  Can anybody help ?  I am using Captivate 4 with the latest patch

    Hi there
I've seen others suggest that adjusting the audio clips for each slide so they begin playing at perhaps .1 or .2 seconds after the slide begins solves the issue.
Perhaps you will have good luck with this approach as well.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Can I present a keynote file with video and audio over the internet? If so how?

I have tried this with Adobe Connect but it' not ideal since the frame rates drop dramatically and there is no sound. I can upload powerpoint files directly to Adobe connect but there is no option to upload Keynote files. I know I can export Keynote fiels to power point but this work-around is ugly.
    -Idotel

Keynote takes over complete control of the graphics system to play the presentation, therefore the display that is not showing the presentation will be black.
The only time the  monitor not showing the presentation can show video, is when using Presenter Diisplay in Keynote.

  • How do I stream Mac OS X Lion content on my Apple TV (e.g. streams from browser with video and audio)

    Hey folks,
I got a new Apple TV 3rd generation. Its fine with my ipad, but I wanna stream content from flash based websites via my MacBook(2007) with OS X Lion.
Do you have any Idea how to do it? I know e.g. AirParrot, but as far as I know with AirParrot I will not be able to stream the SOUND to my TV, it will only mirror my screen or the Browser Window.
    cheers

Update: I now bought a Airport Extreme which I connected to the Easybox 803 , switched off the easybox WLAN and use the APE in "bridge" mode to do the WLAN work. This works perfectly, all MAC and iOS devices Airplay well and also my brother printer is now acknowledged by the system

After much searching I'm now posting to a forum for the first time. #newbie
I have an 'old' PC (wait - don't ignore me yet...) and I thought that 'helping' it out with a low spec graphics card and a USB audio card would make everything nice for general web browsing and watching online content. The PC was bought second-hand (stay with me....!) with Windows 7 but I thought that the CPU was struggling as I was getting the video lag etc, so I re-installed XP SP3. Initially after install everything looked fine but a few days later and the troubles were back.
The issues I now have are very choppy / stutter / lag on watching things like YouTube and iplayer, and playing DVDs. At the moment there is no sound for the DVDs.
I don't know whether it is:
    1. Video card / MOBO incompatibility.
    2. Audio incompatibility (USB adapter vs video card vs onboard)
    3. MOBO lacking power / processing speed.
    4. another...
    Any help would help. Thanks.

    Glossary For This FAQ
This bit is designed for clarity.
Video is the sending and /or receiving of pictures and sound.
Audio is the sending and or receiving of sound only.
One-Way is the ability to start either an Audio or Video chat from one end to a recipient who can not match your capabilities (or Vice Versa)

A DSL/Cable/Fibre (Broadband) connection of at least an up link speed of 256kbs.
An AIM , @mac.com or MobileMe (@me.com) account name.
(hosting Multiple person Mac to Mac AV chats requires higher specs and broadband uplink speed).
    At the PC end
1 PC running windows XP (home or Pro). THIS A MUST
The AIM Standalone Application, currently at ver. 5.9 at this link. AIM (the Site) now call this version Classic and it cannot be Installed On Vista
Note: there is also Trillian which has a Pro version for $25 that can also Video and Audio chat. The Basic version just Texts and Audio Chats (AIM does not Audio chat)
Some need the aimrtc12.exe file from Here Mostly Earlier than XP or Pre Service Pack 2 XP versions of Windows
An AIM account/screen name (AOL or Netscape count as well)
Service Pack 2 info. This info will allow the PC user to enable AIM thorough the XP Firewall. The Windows Firewall did not exist as such before this.
    Between both of you.
At least one camera (Mac end works better)
A sound input device (the camera, if it has one is ok)
Your Buddies screen/account name in each others Buddy Lists
    Other tweaks
For some people, using AIM on a PC, may also have to make sure their preferences (properties) are set in the AIM Buddy list, for their camera and /or Mic. (Tuning at Message 570)
This is an icon button lower right on the Buddy List marked "Prefs" (AIM 5.5). This leads to the Preferences. Drop down the list until you read Live Video. Click on this. In the new window that opens click the button that says Tuning Video and Audio. Follow the instructions in the wizard that opens up. Access in AIM 5.9 for this is in the My AIM menu at the top of the Buddy list and then Options
    To Start
You should now be able to chat to each other.
If each of you has a camera it can be full Video , as described in the Glossary at the top.
To start from the Mac end, select (highlight) your Buddy with one click. His camera icon should be dark. Click on the icon near his name or the one at the bottom of the Buddy List. (You do not have to start a text chat).
To start from the PC end you need to start a text chat, then select the Video icon at the bottom of the chat window.
If one of you has a camera and the other has a Mic then you will be able to video chat One Way but sound will be both ways.
To start this type of chat from the Mac end you will have to go to the menu item "Buddies" and drop down to the item "Invite to One Way Video Chat"
To start this from a PC follow the directions in the paragraph above. You may need to change the tab to the incoming Video at the back of the two to see the Video. These tabs are added when the Video chat starts and the front one normally states you do not have a camera and shows a connection to buy one.
It is also possible to chat One Way if the other person does not have a Mic: replies will have to be typed in a Text chat.
No Camera and No Mic will cause iChat to End the chat with "No Data Received for 10 Secs"
    Summary
PC end gets AIM 5.9 or Trillian Pro.
The PC end allows the app through the XP Firewall.
AIM 5.9 needs "Tuning" to Camera and Mic.
For any sort of sound to a PC using AIM, (Talk in PC or Audio in iChat) the Mac will need a camera. The other person can have a Mic and then live chats with sound both ways and Pictures (Video) One-Way.
NOTE: At This Time It Is NOT Possible to Audio (sound only) between Mac & PC with AIM & iChat
Trillian Basic can Audio. Trillian Pro can Video and has a bigger picture and can do Full Screen.

1 Mac running OS 10.3.x and iChat AV ver 2.1 or 10.4 plus iChat 3
A DSL (Broadband) connection of at least an up link speed of 256kbs.
An AIM or .Mac.com account name.
(hosting Multiple person AV chats requires higher specs and broadband uplink speed).
    At the PC end
1 PC running windows XP (home or Pro). THIS A MUST
The AIM Standalone Application, currently at ver. 5.9 at this link.
Note: there is also Trillian Which has a Pro version for $25 that can also Video and Audio chat. The Basic just Texts and Audio Chats (AIM does not Audio chat)
Some need the file from item 2 Here
Note: It has been noted that this file is now just another link to the Standalone application. This might be an error by AIM or a newer version that includes the file.
An AIM account/screen name (AOL or Nescape count as well)
Service Pack 2 info. This info will allow the PC user to enable AIM thorough the XP Firewall.
    Between both of you.
At least one camera (Mac end)
A sound input device (the camera, if it has one is ok)
Your Buddies screen/account name in each others Buddy Lists
    Other tweaks
For some people, using AIM on a PC, may also have to make sure their preferences (properties) are set in the AIM Buddy list, for their camera and /or Mic. (Tuning)
Access in AIM 5.9 for this is in the My AIM menu at the top of the Buddy list and then, Options
If one of you has a camera and the other has a Mic then you will be able to chat One Way but have sound returned to you.
To start this type of chat from the Mac end you will have to go to the menu item "Buddies" and drop down to the item "Invite to One Way Video Chat"
To start this from a PC follow the directions in the pargraph above.
    Summary
For any sort of sound to a PC using AIM, (Talk in PC or Audio in iChat) the Mac will need a camera. The other person can have a Mic and then live chats with sound both ways and Pictures (Video) the other.
NOTE: At This Time It Is NOT Possible to Audio (sound only) between Mac & PC with AIM & iChat
Trillian Basic can Audio. Trillian Pro can Video and has a bigger picture and can do Full Screen.

  • Video and Audio Track Destination in FC Pro

Sometimes my Source Bar (In the Timeline) doesn't allow me to execute it. That is in the video and audio tracks.
    g-5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hi there,
I just came across this problem. I had a clip in the viewer with video and audio and a sequence in the timeline. But somehow FCP wouldn't let me edit the video into the timeline, I couldn't patch the video.
So I opened up another sequence. Same thing.
Third sequence, and the video track selector miraculously appears.
Any ideas? After I quit and restarted FCP, it all worked normally.
Tales from the not-so-far-side, I guess.....
    Cheers,
    Colin
