X220 delayed connect to wifi network after boot: windows or intel problem?
Good Morning to all of you! I'm searching for some advice for some problem which is troubling me lately. It's really not a big deal but it's bugging me: Every time I boot my x220 it will take 2-3 minutes to connect to my wifi network. I know it's not a big secret that all this lenovo tools installed are slowing down the computer and as a consequence the wifi software will be started with a delay but maybe someone of you knows a way or two to work around this? Maybe I can somehow prioritize the start of the wifi software?
I appreciate every advice I can get.
Using x230t (i5-3320M, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 80GB mSata-SSD) and loving it!

Can't connect to wifi network after iOS update
Can't connect to wifi network after iOS update.
This does not work in my case.
Situation: we have wifi at home using WPA encryption.
The iPod Touch 8GB connected seamless to this network and anything was ok. After some days i could no longer connect, the iPod told me "connection to network 'networkname here' failed". Deleting the network and reenter the (correct) passphrase was no help, but changing the SSID on the router was helpful: the iPod could connect again ... for several days.
Now things stopped working again. Resetting network settings did not help either.
The iPod can see the network, is asking me for the passphrase and after several seconds telling me: can't connect. On the router log i don't even see a dhcp request, but other laptops work fine with the same wifi network.
That's a mess, i cannot and will not change the SSID every some days just to get the iPod working again. -
Can't Connect to WiFi Network After Changing Encryption
I have an iPod Touch that no longer connects to my wifi network at home.
Some background: I have an aipport extreme base station with three XP laptops, an iMac and a printer connected to it wirelessly. I use a WPA Personal password. My wife's iPhone connects without a problem.
I recently changed the password on the base station to WPA Personal because one of the laptops could not connect using WEP (solution to inconsistent hashing of 13 character password problem found elsewhere in this forum). Ever since changing the password, the iPod touch will not connect.
I have looked for, but cannot find the "Forget Network" button on the wifi network page on the iPod touch (I understand that button appears after you have successfully connected to the network). I have reset the iPod up to and including removing all data.
When I go into the settings>wifi menu, I see the network's SSID. When I input the password, I get a "cannot connect to . . . " message.
Any ideas on how to solve this problem?
ThanksThis does not work in my case.

Some devices won't connect to wifi network after resetting network settings to default
Hi all,
I had to restore to the default settings on my 4th generation Time Capsule today and now half of our devices will not connect to the wifi network. The macbook pro (mid 2010 OS 10.9.4) that I used to reset the time capsule with and my iPhone 6 (8.0.2) both can connect just fine. However, our household's two iPad Airs (8.0.2), an iPhone 4s (iOS 7) and a Macbook (late 2009 OS 10.6.8) all can't connect to the internet. The macbook connects to the network, but an exclamation point appears over the wifi symbol. The two iPads and the 4s won't even connect to the network. I initially named the network the same as before with the same password, but then changed it thinking that might be the issue, to no avail. I've restarted the Time Capsule and all the devices that can't connect. I've also made them forget the network and try to rejoin. The router is connecting with DHCP, it is in bridge mode while connected to a cable modem, and the wireless security is set to WPA/WPA2 Personal.
I'm at my wit's end. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If your cable modem is a pure modem the TC must be in router mode.. ie DHCP and NAT.
It is easy to find out.. check the IP you get on the WAN of the TC in airport utility.
Your limit is because only one or two public IP are available.
If that is the not the problem please give more info.
What modem do you have??
And give some screenshots of the setup .. summary page from the TC and network and Internet tabs. -
Hello, got a problem connecting to my wifi: every time I start up my Laptop (5 year old Toshiba Satellite L300) the wificonnections are listed but windows is unable to connect to the WIFI. Wificonnection states unable to connect, after running Windows Network
Control the issue is found en the WIFI connects correctly.
I need to run the troubleshooter every time after staring up windows in order to get my wifi running, this is rather annoying..
Does anybody have a solution? I downloaded and installed the latest driver from intel, and also tried to enter below without any improvement.
netsh winsock reset catalog (reset winsock entries)
netsh int ip reset reset.log hit (reset TCP/IP stack)
see below error report:Hi,
With the google translate, It seems that you are facing with the following problem:
A network cable is not connected correctly or may be damaged
Problem with wireless adapter or access point
For this issue, I suggest you try the following steps:
Try with another account, or test with another system, another cable.
Reinstall network adapter.
Open Device Manager then Network Adaptors, find the wireless NIC and choose properties then open the power management tab and uncheck the one that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
Test this issue in safe mode with networking
Windows Startup Settings (including safe mode)
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode
Does this work? and I would be appreciate if you could update the diagnostics with English.

MBA doesn't connect to wifi network after waking from sleep
I just bought a new MBA 13". More often than not, it fails to connect to my wireless network when it wakes up from sleep. This is annoying to say the least. Any ideas?
Hi,
I'm thinking about a trouble with the route table. Try this in a terminal session after startup:
netstart -rn
ping <network address>
After somes answer, close the cover to go to sleep mode.
Open the cover and look the result of the ping command
Normaly you don't have a network
cancel the ping command and redo the netstat commande
Normaly some rows are missing in the result (i don' know why) -

Macbook Air with OS X 10.8.2 not automatically connecting to known wifi network after sleep
If you are using WEP as a security on your router that is why it won't connect. WEP is so old school and very insecure that Apple has made it so there WiFi cards won't connect to WEP. It might as well be wide open. You can try that. Take all security, WEP/WPA/WPA2, off your router and see if it connects.
If it does then use either WPA or better WPA2. -

Very poor connection with wifi network with mini iPad.
I recently bought à new mini iPad. The connection with wifi network is lost very often and therefor not Stable. I tried the tips such as forgetting the network and connecting again, but that doesn't help. What can I do?
Do #5.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

IPod Touch will not connect to WiFi network
Hi,
I am getting errors connecting to WiFi networks with my iPod Touch. This had affected a Touch I got a couple months ago. Initially, the WiFi worked perfectly on my WEP network and several others. Then, one day, I couldn't get any WiFi. After standard troubleshooting steps (forget network & re-enter, reset network settings, restart, restore iPod, etc.), it still wouldn't work. I returned the iPod and bought another. At first it also worked perfectly on any WiFi network I joined.
But now I'm affected by the same issue. This time, I went to the router settings and saw that the router (a Linksys) had assigned the iPod Touch an IP address. Yet, in the settings pane on th iPod Touch, the iPod had no IP address. I just ahead and reset all network settings, forget the network, reset the update and still nothing. And this was recently after updating to 1.1.2 firmware.
Given that this has now happened to iPod Touches, I'm concerned that it may be an issue that is affecting others. Any suggestions? The error I get in Safari is "Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server."same problem!it connects to the linksys(not always, but miracles happen),and it can't load any page. it's really anoyingi. actually remember that the first day i bought it could've connect to linksys, but then my dad just helped me to acces our network and i didn'try to use it. but when i was in neighbourhood and wanted to open safari, it found me a link sys,but couldn't load anything. like nothing, even thou the signal was pretty strong...and i tried to do something like this in different places and buildings, the only place where i could actually connect is home with my network, that's it!
i don't want to return my ipod, but it really drives me to it..=/
is there anything that i can do?
tnks. -
'Alert: No Internet Connection' Error when trying to connect to Wifi networks
Hi,
I have a 13' MBP late 2012, reccently I've been unable to connect to any secured Wifi network after updating to the OSX 10.9.2,
I've tried everything-
- Restarting
- Resetting the PRAM
- an SMC reset
- Restarting in Safe Mode
- Repairing Hard Drive & Permissions in Disk Utility
- And even reinstalling: Maverick OSX 10.9.2 (Combo) Update
- I've even compared my laptops settings with my Sister's laptop who has also downloaded the update but does not have the same problem, they are all the same as far as I can see.
The problem is prevelant in every Wifi network I try to connect to, the only reason I am able to connect to the internet at all right now is that I've disabled the WEP key setting for my router.
It just keeps repeating the 'Alert: No Internet Connection' or a 'Connection Timeout' warning...
Any help would be greatly appriciated!
ThanksI have tested your xsd file in versions 10.0.5.1279 and in CR XI - no errors.
You may try to update your Crystal Reports 10. There are SP5 and SP6 available to download from the following location:

i just updated my ipad to ios 8 but i cant connect to wifi network..its says my password is incorrect although i know my password is correct as successfully updated 2 iphones and connected to same wifi network
I had the same problem. I reset my network settings as iOS 8 on my iPad 3 seemed a bit slow. When I tried to reconnect to the wifi the correct password was not accepted immediately.
after retrying several times it did manage to join the network. The only observation I had was that I had a weak signal and an iPhone next to me at the time.
make sure you are close to the wifi signal away from any other wifi devices. -
System does not automatically reconnect to wifi network after sleep/restart
My iMac G4 (2GB RAM, 10.5.1, AirPort Extreme) does not automatically reconnect to my wife network after waking from sleep or restart. I just recently switched the iMac from a wired to wireless set-up though the machine has always had the AirPort card. In wired mode, it always automatically found the network.
Network preferences have the "Ask to join new networks" checkbox selected. Below the checkbox it reads "Known networks will be joined automatically."
My wireless router is Linksys WRT150N, security type is PSK and encryption method is AES key.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!
bkI'm having the same problem, the only way i can connect to my wireless network is to restart the computer, and open safari immediately. Then once it goes to sleep or i shut the notebook, i have to restart it again to use the internet. It's driving me nuts, and nobody knows how to fix it. I've tried firefox (it didn't help) and my sisters macbook connects just fine to my network, so it has to be a network setting. I'm going to schedule an appointment with a mac store tomorrow. so I'll post again when they fix it for me. hopefully i will understand how they solve the problem so i can post it to you guys
