X220 - Enable Instant resume not possible?

Already updated the power manager to the latest power manager and i'm unable to keep the InstantResume enable. I check the box, click on OK, and when going back to the "Close the lid" window, I see that InstantResume has been disabled again. Running default settings for PowerManger, I have not changed anything.

Instant Hotspot: not possible to share iPad's LTE anymore?

I used to have my iPad's LTE plan in order to share it in my car with my family or in any other situations. That was one of the main reasons to purchase wi-fi / cellular version. With the new Instant Hotspot in iOS 8 only the iPhone has the modem mode and possibility to create the hotspot for other devices. Is that correct?

I was having the same issue with iPad 4, cellular + wifi model. Unlike iOS 7,Personal hotspot was not listed in Cellular Data for first time enabling.
Following steps resolved my issue in iOS 8;
Setting >Cellular Data >APN Settings > there is a section 'Personal Hotspot', with fields 'APN, username, and Password'
in APN field type www
then enable Airplane mode for few seconds and disable it. You should now see 'Personal Hotspot' appearing under Cellular Data and as a main listing in Settings.

Acrobat enable for commenting not possible

Hi,
I have a FrameMaker 8.0.4 book (about 2000 pages), which I printed from FM into PDF (printed to ps and converted to pdf with Distiller or saved as PDF directly from FM). No problems here. When I open the file in Acrobat and try to enable it for commenting, I get an error, that "I do not have permission to write to this file".
So I tried to print every chapter of the book to PDF (in both ways). Every chapter I can enable for commenting, no problems here. Then I wanted to join the enabled chapters together into one file - the commentig possibilities are gone. Therefore I wanted to enable the joined document again for commentig - the same permission error as before.
Could you please tell me, where is the problem?

It maybe is file size issue.
As you add the chapters one at a time can you still enable commenting as each chapter is added.
You also could try reducing the file size by using "Save as..." or the PDF Optimizer.

Break up instant movie not possible

In a video tutorial I have seen, that I can break up an instant movie by clicking with the right mousebutton on the instant movie in the cutting window. But I can not find the menupoint in the dropdownmenu. It is not there.
Can anybody help?

Are you right-clicking on the InstantMovie on your timeline (not in the cutting window)? If so, you should see the option to Break Up InstantMovie.
If not, please post a screen capture of your workspace so we can see what you're doing.

I am unable to connect AE to Zeppelin(old style) to enable wireless streaming, hours spent on phone to Apple.Is it not possible?

I purchased an AE to connect to my Zeppelin(old type) to enable me to play my itunes library through it using Ipad/Iphone remote as i do with Apple TV/Mac etc but despite all efforts(spent 2 hours on phone with Apple support) still will not connect. I popped into Apple shop today in Liverpool and the guy there said what i want to do is not possible via the Zeppelin, having done some research i thought he was wrong.Any ideas?

There are various ways to add a laserjet to a network.
What brand and model is the wireless router?
What operating system does the computer use (preferably one that is on the same wireless network the printer is intended for)?
Does your network use a DHCP server (most home routers have this enabled by default)? If so, is there any reason you want to use a static IP address over DHCP for your network?

I understand that the OP failed to do research. But then, I wasn't replying to the OP. I was replying to Chris. I have Verizon. I can talk and use data at the same time with my Droid Maxx. Therefore, the problem is not just with the network. It would be technically possible for an iPhone to do that on Verizon/Sprint if Apple had chosen to use a different chip, such as the kind other phone manufacturers have elected to use.

There are plenty of methods for putting a resume online, where a potential employer can download it, though admittedly the iPad is less flexible in this regard than a computer. Nobody ever has claimed otherwise. However, I get the feeling you're not actually looking for an answer to anything, and you're just posting to complain. Note that that is a violation of the Apple Support Communities Terms of Use, which you agreed to when signing up for an account here.

X1: Instant on - Not very instant (such as shown in the commercial).... Why?

I just purchased the newest X1 with i7 processor and SSD disk. In the commercial it is proclaimed with "Instant On" where the PC ready to use even before the lid is open when it is opened in the morning. Similar to a Mac.
However, When I open the lid, it has to think for some 6-8 seconds before it is ready to use. I have disabled password protecion for wake-up and enabled instant on and found no other settings that affect this. The bios is up to date and I have installed every possible update from the Think Vantage tool. Even the updates that were not possible from the tool i updated from the website.
Have I been had or is there a different problem?

6-7 seconds sounds right. I have read that the Asus Zenbook resumes in 2 seconds, but even some "Ultrabooks" resume in longer than 5 seconds.
Does the screen come on instantly, or does it take that long?
I'm curious to know your experience. I put a Samsung SSD in my X220, and it wakes up in about 7 seconds, but what happens is the screen comes on first, almost instantly, but the mouse and Trackpoint remain locked for 5 seconds or so. But strangely, the keyboard seems to respond instantly as soon as the screen turns on, so I can use the Windows button and then the arrows to navigate around.
Same for you?

You may try the list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by issues with opening a file from external media, see below. You may have tried/done some of them already; 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you may find the folder here:

5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);

Transaction type ZGC not possible (posting to affiliated company) in ABSO

Hi all,
We have depreciation areas 01, 30, 31, 32 .
dep area 30, 31, 32 inherits the values from 01.
We want to post credit value to dep area 01 after doing the aqusition .
Hence we created a seperate transaction type ZGC ( in aqusitions- Tcode AO73) and limited it to dep areas 01, 30, 31, 32.
Transaction type ZGC is having credit and " do not post to affliated company " radio button is selected.
Now the issue is when we run ABSO to do a credit post in dep area 01 we are getting the below error .
Transaction type ZGC not possible (posting to affiliated company)

Diagnosis

In this case, Asset Accounting requires you to use special transaction types. This enables the system to separately identify such transactions.
Procedure
Check the line items that you have already entered, and the transaction type you entered.
Not sure why it is asking for affliated company .
It will be great if any one help on this why we are getting this issue.

What I have attempted:
- Attempted to connect to Shared Services, Workspace url's - YES
- Checked openLDAP & my Database is running - YES

- Read Knowledgebase article # 954322.1 - the suggested things in there don't seem to apply to my case, unless I am missing something.
At this point does anybody have any suggestions ?

An update: Just for kicks, I tried restarting Essbase using Start->Programs-EPMSystem->Essbase->EssbaseServer->Essbase.bat and apparently now Essbase is started.
EAS, Studio and Planning however are down.

I am trying to post an intercompany asset transfer with trx code ABT1N but when simulating the error code
Transaction type 230 not possible (posting to affiliated company) appears. This is the explanation of the error:

Diagnosis

I do not understand the error because TType is "Retirement to affiliated company with revenue" so should be correct.

Firstly, check out Note 209643.
Secondly, please read the long text of the error message again. The
transaction type must be set as "post to affiliated company". And
you must check back the followings :-
1. Please execcute function: SAP IMG -> FI -> asset accounting ->
    transaction -> specify default transaction type.
    You can find the default transaction type for "retirement from
    inter-company transfer" and "acquisition from inter-company
    transfer".
Then check in their definition whether they are relevant to
    affiliated company.
If they are NOT RELEVANT to affiliated company, you can
    substitute them with other transaction type Relevant to affiliated
    company.
2. Please check the definition of transfer variant. In the transfer
    variant, you have assigned the transaction type for both retirement
    and acqusition for relation type 1. Both transaction types should be
    set as "post to affiliated company" .
Please note that the abovementioned points must be checked because
the system logic will check the validity of the default value in
Point 1.
Then the transaction type in the point 2 will be used instead and
re-checked again.
Have you try to use 'No Reveune' in the specification for revenue?,
I think if it is afflicated companies, you are not allowed to use
revenue.
This error can also be produced because a wrong definition of the trans-
fer variants. Please have a look on note 327088 for further details.
Most of the issues on this matter were solved with this last Note.

i am working with a zbapi.
i called a external email program in this bapi,everything is working fine over here.
In webdynpro java they mapped my bapi and starting working from there.
every functionality is working fine but regarding this email stuff it is showing an error as access not possible using null objects reference.
where could be the possible error.
is it in webdynpro or in abap side.

You are right. When it comes from the WD Java, may be you are not passing any value at all. You can trace it by these ways.
1. Check it using SE37, make sure everyhting is fine.
2. Print all the values that you are passing to the RFC in the execute RFC method().
3. using ST05 transaction in R/3, enable RFC and SQL trace, check what is passing in between web dynpro and R/3.

It is worth mentioning that this problem has remained persistent throughout multiple linux distributions that I've tried on my laptop. The Wifi works fine in Windows 7 but as soon as I switch to any linux distro it stops working.
I intend to put your advice to good use so any help would be very appreciated.

As I can see you have two wireless interaces, when i see only phy0 with rfkill, it's maybe your hp-wifi that force to disable phy0 interace. I think if you blacklist the driver it might allow phy0 to be enabled.
Please download and install lshw available in the community repo and enter in a terminal :
$ lshw -c network

Server0 getting down and logon not possible ( error in license check)

Hi Guys,
I rebooted my SAP server and after that server0 is in disabled mode, well both the boxes seems to be green but the server0 node in disable mode as if it is maintained by some parameter and I have changed it, which is not the case, also there is no log with dev_server0 since then. I have followed 723909 note and also copied the parameters of a running server but didn't get success. Also when I am trying to login through SAPGUI its giving me error " Logon not possible( error in license check)" while the license is already installed.

License issue is resolved but server0 node is still in disable status while the instances shows green, I checked dev_jcontrol log and found :
