X2200 w/ RH 4.5: CLI commands in term window stop working, give "io error"

The io error gives no further info. Occurs after RH has been booted for a short while. Commands like df, more, cat, etc return the io error. If use pointer to open new terminal session, the window opens (gui still appears to work ike this), but keying in a command mentioned above does same thing.
Updated bmc and bios w/ T&D disk 1.6. Couldn't run RH driver install (install.sh), because it complained that gcc wasn't installed. Attempted up2date, hung during the install of packages. Investigation showed the io error on another terminal session. Wiped and rebuilt frfom scratch - appeared better, but error reoccurred.
Ran VTS from SUE disk for 30 minutes and PCCHECK stress check for 30 minute, no error.
Can anyone shed light on the minimal "io error" response? It looks like it can't interpret the command, rather than getting an error from a device or whatever.'

Well, actually I guess it is command-` since you don't press shift.
My problem is this command key short cut stopped working. Mac OS 10.4.11 onAlu iMac with 4gb ram. It had been working, but now I noticed it stopped working.
It never worked on my G4 tower but did work on my wifes iBook. It didn't work in my buddies tower but does work on my dads iMac G5.
What the heck? How does a command key shortcut stop working. I get a audible bonk alert when I try to do command-` to switch windows. It used to work.
Any ideas?

Have you checked your keybindings? +(System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts)+ Is there a checkmark next to "Move focus to next window in active application"? Maybe your modifier keys have been altered? +(System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard > Modifier Keys...)+

Command c shortcut has stopped working

Hi, my command c shortcut has stopped working on my macbook pro. Each letter still works individually however the shortcut no longer does. Could you please tell me how to fix this?

My command z key just stopped working -HELP

Please help. I was working in InDesign CC and hit the Command z key. Everything froze. I had to restart and now command z doesn't work.

Just noticed my iMAC finder preferences are not working as well.
Does it sound like a MAC or Adobe issue?
I am not an IT person, just a simple designer. It takes me forever to get my preferences set. I have just started using my iMAC and Adobe CC since purchasing Dec. 2013. Looks like I should have stayed with good ole CS3.

all this works but when i right click on a message or news item and select "OPEN IN NEW TAB" - it fails to open the tab in this current window it opens it in the parent window --
the way i have always used this is to able to select news and right click all news items to read as new tabs and have all news items or messages to be grouped in the child window

the user jay_ff shows how to do it using the Menu Editor Add-on
1. Install the Menu Editor add-on from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/menu-editor/ .
2. After the installation, go to Firefox> add-ons (or simply use Ctrl+Shift+A)
3. Go to the Menu Editor "Options"
4. In the "Main context menu," simply grab the "Open link in New Tab" and place it below the "Open Link in New Window"
5. and Voila! You may also change other menu options if you want to!
I tried jay_ff method first and found that indeed changing the Main Context Menu did cause the hotlink context menu to change as well.

Thunderbird Mac - command+w for close Mail & newsgroups window not working

I use almost all keyboard shortcuts. So when I need to close the email window without quitting the program, I've *always* just hit command+w. It stopped working a few days ago. it doesn't even work if I choose "close window" in the File menu. In order to close the window, I have to click the close button in the corner.
Can anyone help me figure out why this suddenly happened?

Your system info confirms you have the G5 iMac w/iSight. So do I & mine did not come w/the Pro Keyboard.
According to Apple's iMac G5 (iSight) - Technical Specifications site:
Hardware accessories: Apple Remote, Apple Keyboard, Mighty Mouse.
Now, to your problem.............
See if trashing the keyboard preference helps and/or repairing permissions.
Does the problem occur in other browsers? If so, maybe updating your OS may help. Just a thought.

I am looking a cli command to run ut custom report with custom layout. currently I am using cli for generate report with custom layout but now I want include custom report. here my current command
/opt/CSCOpx/campus/bin/ut -u USER -p PASS -cli -query all -layout YELLOW. where I should add my custom report name "red" ? next to -query instead of "all" add "red" is that working or something different. Thanks, Paul

Instead of "-query all" you would use your custom query name. For example, "-query RED".

RAW devices is when you store your data directly on device.
It is like you use devices directly instead of data files on file system. Can give you some performance benefits.

You're missing an "enable" cli command, but the clock set should work once you add it.

No, this is not possible. Data Collection must be scheduled, or started via the GUI.

Interactive CLI commands

I'm quite new to EEM, so please bear with me.
How can I handle interactive CLI commands. I want a script that detects when a configuration change has been made, and then copies the running configuration to a TFTP server. This is what I have tried:

license/DLU's on 7.x. There are some new cli commands
on 9.x related to licensing/ELM

Configure in Personal Mode
The term personal mode refers to products that are       tested to be interoperable in the PSK-only mode of operation for       authentication. EEM CLI command not running

Hi guys,
I have an issue with an EEM applet that I have configured. Part of the applet is to run a kron occurrence. I know the applet is executing by viewing event manager history, but when I then run show kron schedule, the kron job is not set to run.
If I manually input the same CLI commands, the schedule starts without issue.
The config for the applet is below:
event manager applet RESTORED
event track 100 state up
action 1.0 cli command "enable"
action 1.1 cli command "conf t"
action 1.2 cli command "kron occurrence MONITOR in 0:10"
action 1.3 cli command "policy-list MONITOR"
action 1.4 syslog msg "ATTENTION:THE CCT HAS RESTORED"
exit
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I have debugged event manager action cli, and discovered that the reason the CLI commands are not taking is that aaa (tacacs) is applied to this router, so when the system attempts to enter commands, command authorisation is failing.

Brand new 2960X and 2960XR not responding to cli commands

I have 2 brand new 2960X switches and neither are responding to cli commands via the RJ45 to DB9 cisco cable. Text is displayed but when I hit enter on the keyboard nothing happens and the switches just sit at whatever the last boot ouput is. 2960-XR just sits at 'vlan1, changed state to up.....' and I am never prompted for the express setup and no response to any keyboard input.
I know the cable/keyboard works because I can connect it to a 2911 right beside the 2960's and have no problems using the same cable.
Anyone seen this before?

Hello,
Recieved today also 2 2960-x switches.
Had the same issue...playing arround with secureCRT settings (rts/cts, xon/xoff etc) ...no results.
Tried Putty and it worked right away ...indeed strange have never seen this before.
Installed latest software 150.2ex4 still the same.
