X3-02 WLAN doesn't work :/

Hi, can someone help me with that.
When I'm pressing Available WLANs, its only showing me "No networks available" (it looks like its not even trying to find nearby AP)
Two or three months ago it works great :/
My router have a WPA/WPA2-PSK security, its on channel 9 right now.
Nokia X3-02 RM-639 V 06.05
Thanks for reply!
Damian.

Hi DanRybnik,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
Is your phone picking up other WLAN access points anywhere or does this happen only with your router?
Also, you can try to do a hard reset on your phone. Please note that this will wipe all the settings, applications and data off your phone, so it is highly recommended that you first do a full backup with Nokia Suite.
To hard reset your phone, dial *#7370#, if prompted for a security code, default code is 12345.
Let us know if this helps,
Puigchild

Does anyone know why the built-in e65 IM client doesn't allow to set up a WLAN access point to connect?

I didn't know the MobJab IMPS server, I think it will be usefull for me if finally I decide to use the nokia IM built-in client.
However I continue with the same scenario, when I try to set up an access point for my new IM server (MobJab in this case) is not possible to choose my home WLAN.
Why doesn't the Nokia IM client work with WLAN?

  • Re: Satellite L300D-13S - WLan doesn't work using Vista

I have a L300D-13S which came with Visa Home Premium on it.
Its working fine APART from the wireless which refuses to work.
I always get "Wireless association failed because Windows did not receive any response from the wireless router or access point"
The wiresless is a Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter
I'm running the latest BIOS and the 6.1148.924.2008 Drivers dated 24/09/2008. If I use the latest drivers from the RealTek site I get a message about an unknown error.
If I use the Ethernet NIC then it gets an IP address fine so its not the Broadcast Flag Issue.
Its not wireless security (I understand Vista does not support 128Bit WEP). I've turned it off and it still does it.
Other Laptops running XP connect fine and this laptop connects fine using no security or WEP or WAP if I boot into Linux.
So the problem obviously lies with Vista and/or the Drivers.
    Has anyone solved this.
And no - Do not tell me to go out and buy a "Vista compatible" Router.
If Vista Does not work with a router that XP and Other operating systems work with then Vista is flawed.

It only occurs with the WLAN. If I plug into the back of the router with a cable then everything is totally solid. I get DHCP from the router and everything is fine. It is only the wireless that does it.
Oddly enough it used to work. When I first powered the machine on it saw the network and connected and everything was fine until I rebooted when it decided not to work any more. I thought it was something I had done so as I'd not really done much with the machine I did a recovery on it and again it worked again fine (I downloaded a few 100MB of downloads). Then rebooted and the wireless was broken again which is why I think its Vista and not my router.
Its not even making it through to the router to get an IP address on the wireless - it never even sees it.
This is what is recorded in the event log.

My Wlan does not find my wireless accesspoint, I have to use an USB WLAN to get access! (SITECOM WL 114)
    Anybody can help me? Michle

    Hello Michle
Its seems that is a problem with the installation. Maybe you installed a wrong driver?
I found two different wireless drivers for this unit.
    1.)Intel Windows XP 9.0.1.9
    2.)InProComm Windows XP 3.03.11.20041.3.5
Im not 100% sure which driver works properly but you can try to install the Intel driver and after the InProComm.
    Good luck

  • Satellite Pro L550 - WLAN doesn't work after new Installation Win 7/64 Pro

    Hi,
I installed a real Win 7 / 64 professional full version on my Sat Pro L550-199, PSLW9E. Now I can't switch on my WLAN. The big FN-bottons doesn't exist. I tried lots of driver I found on the Toshiba Support page.
Whitch is the right, or is Win 7 / 64 professional not supported with WLAN?
How I can switch on WLAN without the FN-Key?
    Lenny

    Hi Lenny-27-7,
Is your WLAN card installed properly in device manager? It must be listed under network devices without yellow exclamation marks. So you can make sure that WLAN card is installed.
For all FN keys you have to install Value Added Package and Flash Cards Support Utility. Both tools can be downloaded on official Toshiba page where you can find the WLAN driver too:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
If you have installed everything you can start with WLAN configuration :)

  • WLAN adapter doesn't work on my Satellite A200

    Hi,
My WLAN adapter doesn't work under Vista. If I press FN + F8 nothing happens. The wireless-communication is still offline.
    What can I do?
    Details:
    Typ: Atheros AR5008X Version: 7.2.0.164
    Notebook Satellite 200
    PSAE6E
    Please help me!
    Thx in advance!
    Phil

BIOS bug? I dont think so
Firstly you should ensure that this is not a hardware issue. In such case insert the Toshiba Recovery CD and reinstall the OS on this unit. This will set the notebook to the factory settings. Note; this would format the whole HDD.
After new installation, you have to enable the WLan switch at the notebooks side and then you could use the button switch FN+F8 to select the WLan.
I presume you have already configured your Wlan router. So the same settings like SSID, WLan encryption, etc must be set on the notebook too.

  • Satellite L650-1MT - WLan driver for Windows 7 x64 doesn't works

    Hallo Support-forum-member,
i reinstalled my Windows, because my old hard-drive was damaged. Now I have Windows 7 x64.
By installing the hardware drivers from the Toshiba homepage I had a problem with the W-Lan driver.
It has an Atheros W-Lan Adapter, but the driver doesn't works. After extracting it the window closes and the installation doesn't begins.
    What can I do?

    Hi
Thanks for posting this message here in the forum but I think nobody would be able to provide more help without knowing notebook model number.
What notebook do you have exactly?
Are you sure that the notebook supports Atheros Wlan card?

  • G510 Windows 7 WLAN driver doesn't work

My G510 came with Windows 8.1 pre-installed. I didn't want that, so I installed Windows 7 instead. After that, I downloaded this driver (WLAN Driver (Atheros, Broadcom, Realtek) for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) - Lenovo G410, G510) using a different computer. I copied the driver to a USB thumb drive. Then I installed the driver on the G510.
The driver installed without any errors. However, I still can't enable the wireless adapter. Device manager shows missing drivers for several components (as expected) under "Other devices" but I am not sure which one is the wireless adapter:
BCM43142A0 (I believe this is the bluetooth adapter)
    Ethernet Controller
    Network Controller
    PCI Simple Communications Controller
    SM Bus Controller
    Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
    Unknown device
    USB2.0-CRW
Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections shows no network adapters at all, but Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features shows Lenovo_Wireless_Driver is installed.
When the installer runs, it copies the files from the "C:\drivers\WLAN Driver (Atheros, Broadcom, Realtek)\Broadcom\6.30.233.75\Driver\Win8" directory to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\Lenovo_Wireless_Driver\Win8" directory. I believe the problem may be that this is in fact a driver for Windows 8 and not for Windows 7 as indicated.
I thought at first I may have just downloaded the wrong driver (I was careful to select the right one), but after downloading it again, I confirmed that I have the correct installer with the file name wlan125w7u1.exe.
I've tried re-installing the driver several times as an administrator, rebooting before and after each install. I've also tried Fn+F5 and Fn+F7, which does nothing.
Edit: I almost forgot the best part. I called Lenovo technical support last night, who told me I must contact premium technical support in the morning (they were closed at the time). But premium technical support refuses to help me with this problem unless I am willing to pay $59, or $170 for a one-year support subscription, as they consider it a software support issue.

    hi FoulSynthesis,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
Your issue might be similar to this thread.
If you have the Broadcom 43142 Wireless LAN Adapter (BCM43142) with the following Hardware ID then you may wanna check the driver below:
    Hardware ID:
    USB\VID_04F2&PID_B3BB&REV_1152&MI_00
    USB\VID_04F2&PID_B3BB&MI_00
    Driver:
Broadcom BCM43142 Wireless LAN Driver (802.11b/g/n)
    h0wg01ww.exe
    10.6 MB
If the driver above doesn't work for you, kindly follow this guide on how to find  the hardware ID of the Wi-Fi card (it's the one labelled Network Controller underDevice Manager > Other Devices) to correctly identify the appropriate Windows 7 driver.
    Regards

  • Want to extend my WLAN (ZyXEL) using 2013 airport extreme; doesn't work... Any ideas?

    Hi
I want to extend my WLAN (using a ZyXEL VDSL-modem) with 2013 airport extreme. Doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?
Does APE only work with Twisted Pair cable? That's the only way so far I can access the Internet using APE. But that was not my plan when I ordered it. So - am I wrong or is there a solution (without buying airport express on top of it …)?
    I am using AP utility v 6.3.1., OS X 10.8.4.
    Thanks
    swissgerman

In your case, you will need to connect the AirPort to the ZyXEL product with an Ethernet cable.
As far as your question of Does APE only work with Twisted pair cable?
I cannot answer for all products. I said "probably" because as far as I know and have tested....the Apple products will not "extend" a signal from another manufacturer wirelessly.
There might be a product that works with Apple. But, someone else will have to tell you what that product might be.
If you want to extend using wireless with Apple.....as far as I know.....it takes two Apple products to do this.

  • WLAN has stopped working - Satellite X200/N00, Vista 32-bit Ultimate (SP1)

When I purchased this laptop earlier this year, everything worked pretty well with no significant issues. A few weeks ago, however, my WLAN connection stopped working -- specifically, it does not get a valid IP address from the router.
Notebook is a Satellite X200/N00 (PSPBUA). OS is 32-bit Vista Ultimate (SP1).
It was working fine right up to the point where it stopped working. The router itself still works fine -- I have used the wireless connection with a completely different laptop since having the problem on the Toshiba.
This seems to be a fairly common Vista issue, but so far everything I've tried has failed to get me anywhere.
The router is a D-Link DSL-G604T. I have updated it to the latest version of firmware, but this has not made any difference.
In Vista I have disabled IP v6.
I have installed the latest version of the Intel wireless driver (v12.1.2.1). The hardware passes all self-tests, the only thing that fails is obtaining the IP address.
I don't know why the wireless connection just stopped working -- as best as I can recall, I had not installed any new software or updates just prior to it stopping working. It doesn't seem to be a hardware fault.
One thing I have not yet done is test the connection with a completely different wireless router (e.g., at a public access point).
That may be instructive, but not really useful, since I need to get it working with the router I have!
    Any thoughts?

    Hi
There are many different reasons why the IP address cannot be obtained.
In first case you should check if your firewall is disabled or doesnt prevent the IP address from receiving.
Secondly you should check if the TCP/IP protocol was set to automatic
You can find such settings in TCP\IP protocol properties.
Last but not least I would recommend disabling all security settings on the router and trying to establish the WLan connection.
Please check if the Mac address filtering was disabled, disable the WLan encryption, and check if the right SSID is in use.
If it will be possible to establish the Wlan connection then you could enable step by step the single WLan security settings on the router.
    Bye

  • Ipad1 with WLAN and 3G but WLAN does not work without SIM Card

I do have that Problem too.
    Ipad1 with 3G and WLAN.
But... I do not have a SIM Card. I only use my home WLAN.
I am sure WLAN works and is correct installed (I did the same to my iphone and it works there), AND I can controll my Samsung TV with the Ipad, which only works when both use the same WLAN. So it is installed perfect for sure.
But: when I use safari it shows the URL, but than says there is no connection possible.
    Why this?
Do I have to install a SIM Card? How is that? I did not mention to do.
My iOS Software is 5. something (the newest that was possible) since this was a original iPad, never used before.
I installed it with iTunes. iTunes says that the connetction failed BUT all my apps, music and anything else I have from my iPhone are now on the iPad.
Do not understand whats going on.
Again - sure it is on the wlan, but the iPad won´t let my out to connect the world.
Bad since I wanted to use it in the house to read/write emails and for my schedule.
    please help soon.
    Thanks

A blinking blue dot on a grey screen. In my opinion it doesn't work if that's all you get.
As mentioned in the above thread, there are app store apps (TrackThing, gpsCompass) that will read out your actual position, speed, direction, in numbers, so you can see where you are on a map. (You remember maps? those quaint old world methods of finding where you are?).
This is quite useful in the back country, where cell signals may not reach. I've used gps Compass in the mountains where there was no cell signal. In my case it took about 2 minutes to find the satellites the first time but after that it was very fast.
Its not a substitute for a Garmin, but with a paper map you can still find exactly where you are, and were you are going.
(If you don't know how to navigate with maps, compass, and longitude/latitude numbers, you probably don't belong where there are no cell signals.)

I tried following the wiki on bcm43xx, copied the fwcutted firmware files to /lib/firmware , rebooted, loaded bmc43xx module, but nothing. Nothing on iwconfig or dmesg...
    Any ideas?

  • PEAP-GTC on Win 7 and 8 platforms (LDAP authentication doesn't work)

    Hi all!
Customer is using Open LDAP as directory services.
We're setting Cisco Wi-Fi network with following authentication scheme:
Wireless LAN Controller - Cisco ACS 5.3 - Open LDAP
According to the documents ACS - LDAP supports only EAP-TLS and PEAP-GTC methods.
We need to perform username/password authentication. It works good on Apple and Android devices. But id doesn't want to authenticate Windows 7 clients.
We're unchecking "Validate Servers certificate" in WLAN settings of Win 7 client, but it still doesn't work.
It seems, that Windows doesn't support PEAP-GTC method. Are there any workaround to solve the issue?
I might assume, that there could be some software plug-ins (supplicants) that can be installed on Windows and give support of PEAP-GTC. But in this case customer will face serious organizational issues of provisioning new devices.
    Please advice!
    Thank you!
    Yuriy

In order to see PEAP EAP-GTC option on the client, you need to install EAP-GTC supplicant on the client machine.
    Check this:
