X3000 quick setup guide, webpage not found

Two problems:
1. My x3000 wireless mouse that came bundled with the HP computer does not work. I followed the skimpy directions that came with the mouse but got nothing. The mouse lights up underneath so I appears to be on but it still does not work.
2. I desided to visit the HP website for help. Did a search and found a webpage with a link to download the Quick setup guide and another link which say "download manual. Clicking on either link sent me to a page that says "The webpage could not be found"
I wonder if I can return it to the retailer since I just bought it this month.
Currently I am using a wireless mouse from my 2nd (old) computer and it works fine. But I have to carry it from room to room. (one mouse, two computers).

EhP1 for Solution Manager means you have at least SPS18. Therefore documentation based on EhP1 is still valid, although Maintenance Optimizer has been updated as of SPS22+

Webpage not found?

I have oracle 10g express edition. I am trying to load a file and for some reason when I choose my file and click next, I keep getting http 404 webpage not found. What is the reason for this? Can it be fixed?

Adobe Customization Wizard XI: setup.ini was not found (while saving the MSI)

I have downloaded the Adobe Customization Wizard XI and the Adobe Reader XI .msi file. I am only attempting the customize three options of this application. When I try to save the .msi file I get an error "setup.ini was not found".
I have placed the .msi file in a folder on the desktop. Additionally, I have tried using 7-Zip to extract the .msi in an effort to find the setup.ini file.
Where is this file located? What is the solution?
Any help is much appreciated.

Just install Adobe Reader on a machine. Then you will get the flat files in a folder location that has the Setup.ini file. It will be something like this depending on your OS:
Windows 7 64-bit Example Location
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Setup\{AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-AB0000000001}\

Quick Start Guide Info not working. Need info for Job Interview

I am brand spanking new to Java but I have a job interview next week and this is one of the topics I need to learn a little about. Here is my issue if someone would kind enough to help.
I downloaded and installed SDK and JDK I am going through the quick start guide I am using the Quick Start guide that comes with Application Server PE 9. The quick start guide requires you to download a "Tutorial Bundle" that comes with the Java EE 5 Tutorial.
The Quick start guide then tells you to access certain files that are in the Tutorial bundle. For example it wants me to go to /Samples/Quickstart directory in the tutorial bundle and look for the hello.war. Unfortunately that directory and file does not exist (there is an /examples/web/hello1 directory but no hello.war
Long story short is there anyway to find a Tutorial Bundle that actually works with the software that I downloaded? Thanks in advance for your help

Some webpages not found

When I go to a website, I get to the main page, and a sub-page. When I make selections from some drop down menus, the next page that appears is "page not found"
Particularly www.mcall.com
My wife searches jobs, puts a location, and the next page shows up. When she tries to narrow the search by choosing a 10 mile radius and jobs posted within the last seven days, the "page not found" comes up. This same page works on my Compac and Emachine using the same network and Windows Explorer.
I can't seem o find any more specific settings that may be causing this problem.

Try troubleshooting extensions and third party plug-ins.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that off if there are any installed. Quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn extensions back on then uninstall one a time to test.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

HELP! Package with orange, registration problem, setup wizard pages not found and email problems!

I got my blackberry 2 days ago (I'd never had one in the past) and the sales advisor told me I would need the 'blackberry package' for £5 a month and being the fool that I am I agreed without asking for more information on what it included etc. I can get on the internet using my home wifi or any other free wifi connection I happen upon, but cannot use applications such as Facebook for Blackberry without being confronted with a message claiming 'You are currently on a service plan that does not support this application. Please contact your service provider for additional information or to upgrade your current service plan.' I had thought that the package I had been given would be for this, does anyone know how long it should take before the package is activated?
Also, when visiting www.blackberry.orange.co.uk and asked to give my PIN and IMEI it claims that it is currently registered with a different service provider. Has anyone else found this or know a way to fix it?
Actually, while I'm here, when running the setup wizard a lot of the pages come up with HTTP ERROR, PAGE CANNOT BE FOUND and when attempting to set up my email I only have the options to 'i want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server' or 'i want to skip email setup'. How would I set up a hotmail email account?

the blackberry package is a good thing. the problem is that is seems you have had problems creating your BIS Account. Call Orange UK hotline and explain your issue. It's their job to make everything work. especially since you are a new customer.

Basic webpages not found.

I am on BT infinity and while normal download speeds and a speed test indicate i am getting great speeds, just done a test right now and the download speed is 74.64Mbps.
But on an evening i cannot seem to beable to get on simple websites, such as facebook, amazon, or other websites i use. It seems to have started the last week or so and doesn ot seem to be a problem at any other time of the day, and it doesn't just happen on the one pc.
It happens on Ipads, phones and laptops.
Does anyone have any suggestions, please.

Sorry this is a bit of a rigmarole: BT, Apple and Microsoft conspire to make your life difficult.
I don't think you can fix DNS on ipads.
On a windows laptop there are various roundabout ways to get there, these depend on Windows version. Try:
1 - right click on the network icon in the bottom right set of icons
2 - choose 'Open Network and Sharing Centre'
3 - click on 'Change adaptor setting' on the left
4 - in the panel that opens, double click on the network interface you are using
5 - in the status window that opens, click Properties
6 - on the Properties window that opens, double click 'Internet Protocol Version 4'
7 - click on 'Use the following DNS server addresses'
8 - on the 'Preferred DNS server', enter 194.73.82.242
9 - on the 'Secondary DNS server', enter 212.118.241.1
10 - Click 'OK' of 'Close' lots of times to close the various dialog windows that opened.
The 'magic numbers' 194.73.82.242 and 212.118.241.1 are ones that I chose based on what was best for me at some point in time. Other people will suggest alternative numbers. It doesn't matter too much which you choose as long as they are reasonably good ones (unlike the default BT ones).
Anyway; try all that and see if it helps on the laptop. If it does, you know that it was indeed DNS issues you had before. If not, I'm afraid you will have to search further for the problem.
If it is a DNS issue, you can contact the mods and see if they can get it chased with BT: may be an uphill battle. You can buy an alternative router to the HomeHub that allows you to put DNS settings into the router. That will then work for all devices connected to the router (wired or wireless).
Really irritating BT don't allow you to change DNS on the HomeHub. It isn't a great bit of kit, but not too bad for many people: for me that is it's weakest point.

I cant go on youtube with the wifi from airport express, its alway show that the webpage not found so I try to connect the lan to my mac ,its work. Anyone know why amd how to fix it. (only youtube and google doesnt work)

After the last upgrade, my itunes doesn't open (this happen only the first time after the start of my pc). It seems frozen.To re-open Itunes i need to terminate APS deamon every time from task manager.

Java vm not found

running setup gives vm not found error

From a command/dos prompt go to the directory where your JDEV or JDEVW executable is located and run it as: JDEV -VERBOSE
This should show you where it's looking for the JVM files, then you can simply copy the files to the location it is looking at.
OR you can edit your JDEV.CONF file to make sure you have something like what I added to mine:
SetJavaHome D:\jdv9i902\jdk
# The Windows launcher will attempt to use ojvm by default, on UNIX
# we use whatever is listed first in the $(JAVA_HOME)/jre/lib/jvm.cfg file.
#SetJavaVM ojvm
#SetJavaVM hotspot

WRT54G3G – "Router not found" when trying to configure broadband cable network

I have a WRT54G3G, v.1.1 router. I have used it successfully for ~3 years with mobile Internet (Huawei E800 card). Recently I installed broadband cable network in my place, tried to configure WRT54G3G to work with it and failed…
I tried manual configuration, and I was not able to set it up. I downloaded „Setup Wizard”, and tried all three options:
a) 3G/UMTS or GPRS
b) Broadband WAN Only
c) Broadband WAN and 3G/UMTS or GPRS
Only option a) can be completed successfully. When I try b) or c), I get following message from „Setup Wizard”: „Router not found, Please make sure the router is properly connected and try again.” I am sure I connected all cables as instructed.
When I plug cable network directly to my PC’s Ethernet slot, it is automatically configured, and all is working fine.
Can anyone advise please what to do? Thank you!

What is the ip address of your router? It seems like the WRT54G3G is already talking to your modem and is getting the connection properly. Make sure that the WRT is not on the 192.168.1.x segment.

Following Beginner's Guide, but one command is "not found" - alsact1

Hello
I'm following the Beginner's guide and doing everything exactly as it says. However, when i get to the Sound Card setup instructions (using ALSA) one of the commands it is telling me to use returns the error "-bash: alsact1: command not found"
I have done everything exactly as per the directions. According to the instructions, this command saves the mixer settings so that on boot-up, the volume levels are as they were previously.
I wasn't able to create the file that "alsact1" is supposed to create, but upon boot-up, the sound levels appear to be as they were last time. so everything works just fine.
Should I just forget about the "alsact1" command and move on? Anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix? or is it a typo in the instructions?

SCCM 2012 Setup error when setting SQL connection info "Network Path Was Not Found"

I'm facing an issue during CCM 2012 SP1 Beta Setup on step "DB INFORMATION"
My lab is set like that:
1x Front-end WS 2012 rtm "CCM Install on it" (Fresh install = no features installed)
1x Back-end WS 2012 rtm SQL Server 2012 SP1 (I don't know if this is supported).
On the sql Side there is already a first instance with SCVMM 2012 SP1(beta) environment that work well.
A second dedicated instance is ready for CCM install.
Named Pipes enabled , TCP/IP Enabled
Firewall rules for 1433 and 4022 are enabled on the Domain profile ,other profiles are disabled.
Instance Service is running with a domain account
Everything is published in AD (delegations for computer account), Schema Prep already done manually.
I'm Able to resolve dns name of the SQL server on the CCM VM and telnet 4022 + 1433 ports.

3 Steps are neccessary:
1. Make sure the Windows Firewall Service on the SQL Server is running and set to automatic
2. Add the SQL EXE as a Program Exception to the Firewall on the SQL Server:
To add a program exception to the firewall using the Windows Firewall item in Control Panel.
- On the Exceptions tab of the Windows Firewall item in Control Panel, click
Add a program.
- Browse to the location of the instance of SQL Server that you want to allow through the firewall, for example
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.<instance_name>\MSSQL\Binn, select
sqlservr.exe, and then click Open
- Click OK.
