X48 Platinum - 50% of the time stuck on detecting VGA
Hello fellow MSI owners,
Sometimes (about 50% of the time) my PC won't boot further than VGA on the LCD display. It takes a power down, a short wait and another try to get the system going. This is starting to become an annoyance.
Previously I owned an Asus Striker 2 Extreme, which booted just fine with this videocard.
What could be done to solve this problem, I wonder if anyone has encountered this behaviour before and if so, what did you do to resolve this?

Whilst not the same issue, I have come back to these boards due to a similar and annoying issue regarding my setup. After reading your post, there is another thing that happens when the monitor light stays yellow (instead of green) and doesnt kick in. A reboot usually fixes this, like yours. So coupled with my memory count halt which is random, on a handful of occasions I experience this monitor conundrum and I too have a geforce card albeit an 8800GT.

According to above message, you may need to logon to the server and make sure the time zone is set correctly.
You may follow the below step to sync time:
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to
Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
Type w32tm /resync, and then press ENTER.

My iPod Nano (fourth generation) is stuck on a black screen and will not charge. It's done this before and you can still see a faint outline of the green charging sign and the time/date. HELP
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

This afternoon I was doing things and needed to check the time, I pressed the lock button so it would show the time, but the button would not press. I looked closly and saw the button was stuck as if it was pushed and didn't come back out. I CANNOT lock my iPod using the button.
More details:
-4th gen. iPod touch
-Small dent near lock button
-32GB
-2 Years old.

The date in the Time column in Console is stuck.
The other day I was checking console to try and figure out some issues I was having and noticed that the date is stuck on Oct/5/08. The time changes and updates properly but the date has been Oct/5/08 for the past 10 days. The proper date is set in the Date & Time area of System Preferences, so what gives?

If you're talking about console.app then the only timestamps I can think you're seeing are related to when the relevant log message was written (all log messages are timestamped, so you may be reading messages from 10/5/08).
Maybe the issue is that you're not getting any newer log messages? -

PSE8 - Stuck on 'Hand Tool' All The Time...
hi, i'm using PSE8, and the 'Hand Tool' is all i get (9 out of 10 times i use the software) i can't choose brush, eye dropper, wand or anything, it's just stuck on the Hand Tool all the time. and i like to use the feature: 'Auto Adjust For Skin Tone' often, but all i get is the Hand Tool. anyway to disable the hand tool, or fix whatever's going on?

X48 platinum stuck on DRAM LED post
Hello users
I have just built my own PC rig, but unfortunately I am having some issues with the system. Everytime I turn on the machine the LED Post on motherboard is displaying DRAM and it wont boot anything else (like Video). I have no chance of accessing the BIOS or to update it.
So far I have replaced the memory blocks since I thought they were defect, but I am having the same issue with the new memory blocks. I have tried running the system with only one memory block and in different dimm slots, but I still get the DRAM error.
According to the MSI the memory should not be a problem (http://corsair.com/configurator/product_results.aspx?id=552036). Any help is greatly appreciated.

I took a look at the motherboard sticker and the only thing I could see relating to BIOS is MS-7353 Ver 1.0.
Hmmm, any ideas how to update the BIOS then, if I am not able to get any video display. I did some research to find a way on how to update BIOS, but nothing useful comes up. Any ideas how to update the BIOS without any graphic display? Or do I need the Local IT departmant to fix this?
Looked up my CPU at intel.com and it has C1 stepping. Atleast it says S-spec: SLAWQ on my processer box (http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLAWQ).
