X6 contact rss feeds, how to set them up?

Hi hope someone can help.
Iv just got my nokia x6 16gig, and cant figure out how to set up the facebook rss feed for the contacts on the home screen contact bar.
Hope some one can point me in the right direction.

i managed to get it working, ended up connecting to the internet all the time, and not disconnecting afterwards but... here's how i did it
i firstly subscribed to my own & friends rss feed on facebook through firefox, it automatically puts the feed links in the bookmarks toolbar.
secondly, in ovi suite, i enabled the bookmarks and webfeeds, and then, updated by going into sync and then choose bookmarks and webfeeds.
it created a new folder in my firefox bookmarks > copied the rss feeds into that folder, and re-synced again..
then added the new feeds to my own and my friends contact card thing on the home screen... by going into the contact card, rss feeds>accept> select the relivant feed...
IT WORKS!
hope this helps, took me ages to do it, but, it works like a charm....

Fetch unread RSS items from mail, set them to read, save the text to a file

This is what I want to do, and needless to say I am having a little trouble.
I wish to take the unread mail RSS items, set them to read, and then save the TEXT of the articles (not the title, time, or author) to a TextEdit file in my Documents folder.
So far I have Get Feeds From Mail > Filter Articles > Get Text from Articles > New Text File
This is all fine and dandy, but how do I just get the TEXT and not all of the crap that comes with it?

NOw I had manage to clear out the error, but now the problem is when I click on the 'save' button, this function clear out the entire text file for me !!!

Nokia N8 Contact RSS Feeds

Could someone tell me if the N8 Contacts include
RSS Feeds for the Contact, i.e., Facebook... etc. like the X6?

IWeb-created RSS Feed - How to Modify keywords?

I have a podcast with 2 episodes that have been approved by iTunes, but they are still not showing up in a Search. I keep reading about people entering keywords into their RSS feed to help .... but how do I do that? Remember I'm using iWeb. Thanks.

Hi -- I use iWeb too and had a lot of problems trying to let it generate my rss file. Finally I downloaded the program Podcast Maker and that works just beautifully. The latest version even tracks uploads of your audio files for you. The one problem is that you need to ensure that you upload the rss file to the proper folder on your server (it's in prefs but does not default to where you might think). Good luck!

Thunderbird has hijacked Safari rss feeds - how do I stop this?

I installed Thunderbird a while back just to test its functionality. I use apple Mail.
Ever since, when I follow a link to an RSS feed in Safari, Thunderbird opens automatically. But I want to get the feed sent to Mail.
Does anyone know how Thunderbird is doing this. I can't find any options in Safari or Thunderbird to prevent this behaviour. And even when I deleted Thunderbird, Safari still tried to install it.

How to set tabs and how to set them outside the margins of my main body of text

I type lots of docs where I have a body of text, indented, and then there is an action letter, A,B,C etc, out to the right. Can't see how to set the body of text plus separate tab outside the margin in Pages. Could do it in MS Word. Pages looks great, but I'm stuck on a few things I used to do. Can anyone help?

Here is a sample of the text:
you'll see that the D, C, B etc are squashed up to the text, I can't move their tab outside the margin. On Word (dare I say it?) I could set my right hand margin and still have a tab further out. Don't know that your anchoring idea is the thing. Is there another way to limit my text? I wonder about columns, although then all the ABCs will be in the second won't they?
Any ideas?

ACR 4.4 Profiles, how to set them as standard

Hello All,
With Lr 1.4.1, and the new ACR camera profiles, how do I make LR use them on all the new images that I am importing. Since updating .4.1 every image that I import uses the older profile (4.2?) Any how, I had read that after you update to .4.1 that every image imported after that would automatically use the new profile....
How do I make this happen?
I understand that it will not be automatic on images pre-existing in LR prior to .4.1...

By default if an image has _NOT_ had settings applied, the new 4.4 profile WILL be used for new settings. But I'm pretty sure any image already in Lightroom will need to have the 4.4 profile newly set. An easy way to do this for existing images is to do a new Develop Preset changing _ONLY_ the Calibrate section (after selecting the 4.4 profile in an image in Develop).
Then you can select all in the Library and apply the 4.4 preset to all raw images (it's not applicable for non-raw files).
Then, to make sure the 4.4 profile is used for all new imports from your camera, you should take an image from each of your cameras, select Develop and without altering the rest of the parameters (you want to start FROM the current default) change the Calibrate drop down to the 4.4 profile and then save that as the new default for your camera/cameras...

I have a similar issue. I am using Theme 20 and error messages per item as well as page level error messages are coming up in Blak. Is there a way to show them in Red?

What do you mean you have them in iCloud, do you mean you have an iCloud back up, or the contacts are still available at iCloud.com

"Enter your name and password to update the RSS feed"

I keep getting a pop-up from Safari (even when it's in the background) that says:
+*Enter your name and password to update the RSS feed*+
How on earth do I disable this? It is asking for a username and password for Twitter so I must have clicked an RSS feed link there, but after searching like mad, I can't figure out where Safari looks for RSS at on my system.

This started occurring immediately after updating to safari 4.
I tried disabling the automatic RSS updates in safari preferences, set it to "never" as suggested, but the annoying window keeps on popping up.
So the original question is still not answered for me.
It seems to me that all people reporting this problem are OSX Tiger (10.4.11) users

Subscribing via email versus rss feeds

Is there anyway that friends can subscribe to my webiste and get updates via email instead of an rss feed? Many of them have been having problems with the rss feeds so I was wondering if there was a 'button' or gadget that I could put on the website that allows them to enter their email address and get updates whenever I update the site.

To do this you need a contact form and a database and then send out update emails to all your subscribers.
There are various ways to do this and some are described in the Marketing section of iWeb for Musicians.

How to set acknowledgement flag in asynchronous message

I just read in the documenation that it is possible to request acknowlegment messages by setting an "acknowledgement tag" in the request message.
My question now is how to set this acknowledgement tag and which rules I have to follow? Do you have any more information on this topic? I see the flags in "ReliableMessaging" but not sure how to set them.

Well, I found a partial answer. You can add environment variables to the Web.xml as follows:

<env-entry-value>\logs\tqs6</env-entry-value>
</env-entry>
That puts them at the application level. I am looking for how to set them at the server level for Suns Java Application Server that is bundled in JSC.

Nokia X6 RSS feeds error

When I want to enter RSS feeds on Nokia X6, it pops up unknown error. The RSS feeds on the contacts bars stopped responding when I want to add or remove contacts RSS feeds. I really hate this type of stupid Symbian phone, too many bugs! I'm planning to move to Android soon.
