X6 - during a call / standby / buttons

Am i the only one who has problems during a call and the other buttons with unintentionally activating hold, mute, or finish a call ..?
Often it happens that after some seconds talking that i only see the standby screen (black) could this be a bug (?) or other customers have the same problem?

It seems that the proximity sensor on your phone is having trouble.
During a call, that sensor should activate the screen lock when it is covered, so that when you hold the phone to your ear, the screen is deactivated so you cannot accidentally select anything
Please test this, try to call, then during the call, cover the sensor and see if your screen will black out or not. The normal behavior is that it should black out.

During a call - End button (or any others) don't work, can't end call

I've been having this problem for a long time now but finally decided to see if anyone has an answer for me short of buying a new iPhone.
I have the iPhone 4 and randomly when I go to End a call, the End button doesnt work and if I've gotten a text message during the call both the "close" and "reply" buttons on the text window won't work so I can't even try to end the call - I just have to wait until the person I'm talking to ends the call and then most of the buttons work. This doesn't happen all the time so I have no idea when it's going to strike.
I have the most up to date iOS, I have restarted the phone many times, I've also done the hard restart and the problem still persists.
Anyone have any advice??

Since you've restarted and hard reset, the next step is to restore it. Make sure you have it backed up via iTunes and then setup as new.

Decision popup on click of a custom toolbar button during the call

Hi,
I created a custom button in the CTI toolbar to open up a decision popup. The popup opens fine when i am not in the call whereas if i am in a call the popup doesn't open.
Is this the standard behaviour? If that is the case is there any workaround to open a popup during the call?

NEW 9320! CURVE HANGS ...!DURING INCOMING CALLS! NO BUTTON WORKS! PLS HELP ME

   Recently, i was purchased New 9320. I am very much fedup with this new 9320The phone completely hangs during my incoming calls , no button works & nothing happens. . Each and every time I’ve to remove the battery & reboot 4 to 5 times.
This happened once when it was in the holster too ,said “keypad locked” and nothing except the power off button worked (the power off button did nothing to help though)
    This is frustrating ,especially for a first time Blackberry user like me
   Is it a software problem with the 7.1 OS or something else? Please any one help me.

That is what I am doing right now, but thats a short term solution. It happens 7-10 times a day. Have to do this exercise again and again.
Is not there a permanent solution for this problem ?

Message and Email notifications during phone calls

Whenever I am on a phone call and an email is received a very loud notification occurs. In my settings I have the sound for notifications, media and system off. When I am not on a phone call I do not have hear anything when an email or text comes in only during an active phone call. Is there something I am missing? I did not have this issue since upgrading to Android 4.1.1.

You might want to check the call settings.
Press the Phone icon
Press the Menu button
Select Call Settings
There is a setting called "Use extra vol. for calls" which when checked puts a option on the screen during a call to increase the call volume this may be affecting your notifications.
Try unchecking it and see if that solves your problem.

Screen turned off (goes black) during phone call and won't wake up

During a phone call, if the screen goes black (I presume due to the proximity sensor), the phone will sometimes not wake up - even with the home button - and not allow me to access the touch screen. It's frustrating if I receive another call (call waiting) or if I have an option to press.
My first iPhone 6 required a hard reset (home plus power) to take it out of this mode. The replacement phone I received from the Apple store will wake up with the home button after the call terminates, but not during the call. This is not a situation where the lighting in the room is too dark for the screen to wake up. The event will happen during the day in a room lit by sunlight.
It also seems that the situation happens when I call a phone and go to voice mail or have a number option to press (1, for sales, 2 for tech support, etc) - but perhaps that is the only time I notice the issue as that is when it would be meaningful for me to access the screen.
In case it matters, I have a black 64GB iPhone 6 for use on the Verizon network. I have also upgraded to 8.02.
Any help would be appreciated as I find it hard to believe that this is a hardware issue that has occurred on two phones.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I can imagine it would be frustrating to have multiple devices with the same proximity issue, where the screen remains black while on a call. Take a look at the article linked below and try the suggestions provided, like testing the iPhone without a protective case.
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
After finishing a call the display remains black
If the iPhone is in a protective case, remove it from the case.
If there is a protective or antiglare film on the display, remove the film.
Clean the screen, especially around the receiver, with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.

My 5 keeps pausing conversations during a call, how can I get it to lock

My cheek or ear always mutes the conversation during a call. Is there a way to get it to auto lock during a call?

It sounds like you have a problem with the proximity sensor that turns the screen off when you are on the phone. Do you have a case on the phone? If you do, try taking the case off and test a call. See if the screen turns off when you bring the phone up to your ear. If it does, it is possible the case is blocking something in the proximity sensor which is not allowing it to work properly. If it still does not work after taking the case off, you can perform the user troubleshooting, power off/on, reset by holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. If that doesn't work, then a restore, first from a backup and if needed then as a new device if necessary.

Call stack buttons reversed in CVI 13

I just noticed that the call stack buttons in CVI 13 are opposite from CVI 12. When I hit a break point in CVI 12, the Up Call Stack button is selectable and will take me "up" the stack to the function that called the function with the breakpoint. In CVI 13, when I hit a break point the Up Call Stack button is dimmed. Clicking on the Down Call Stack button takes me "up" the stack to the previous function. In other words, their functions are exactly reversed from previous versions of CVI (and opposite to how I think they should be defined). Is this on purpose, or did my installation get messed up somehow?

Hi Tony,
The short answer is this is on purpose. It was decided during developement to change the behavior of the Up/Down Call Stack menu items. A full list of behavior changes in LabWindows/CVI 2013 can be found in this white paper:

The reason for the change is to be consistant with how we display the call stack in the Variables and Call Stack window.

Sending data during the call with java enabled mobile devices

hi every one ,
this is the problem :
i have 2 mobile phone with java enabled os , i want to call (dial) from phone1 to phone2 with java code , (this will be done by platformRequest("tell:123456"))
AND then i want to for example press key '1' in phone1 during the call some program send this key to phone2 and in phone2 i want to switch this key and understand that was key '1' ...
how can i send this data for example a key pressed event to another phone with J2ME ???
i am developing it with netbeans Mobile Application by the way ...
could you please tell me your opinion and help me in this ,

Is the phone silenced? Check the button on the side of the phone above the volume buttons if you see an orange line it is silienced, slide it to the front of the phone and it should correct this. Also ensure the volume is up. If you've checked these and still nothing are you able to call people? do you have service?

While on a call, just press the HOME button - this will keep your call active. Then press your CONTACTS. To get back to your DIAL PAD, just swipe down the top bar to get to the active call and select it.

Problems navigating during phone call Xperia S

Hi. I've got problems navigate apps during phone calls. I can't bring upp the keyboard display such as sms typing, Google search, internet browsers. Also, the home button where I can use mini apps doesn't show up. And other different software navigation. This problem occured some time after the latest update. I've also tried reinstalling thé system but with no luck. Plz help. It is very frustrating!!

Dialpad not showing numbers pressed during a call

During a call ( eg: automate service call, the one which require you to press certain number during a call ),
when I press the numbers on the dialpad, the numbers won't display on screen.
The numbers I press actually goes thru the line, because the other side of the phone line does responds correctly to the number I pressed.
Also, I can hear the dial pad touch tones.
I also have a Xperia Z, and the numbers show up fine.
It's not the proximity sensor problem. The sensor works fine.
I've tried Force Stop the dialer app, restart the phone ( normal power off and turn off by the little button next to the sim card),
all doesn't work.
I don't want to Factory reset yet, because I don't want to lose all setting and data.

If clearing the app data does not work then please do try a software repair:
1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps

Screen unpredictably shutting down during phone calls.

Anyone understand the logic behind when the screen shuts off during a phone call.
I'm using the keypad a fair bit and sometimes the screen will shut down during a call, hiding the keypad. I can shake it and it will come on again but then sometimes it goes away.
Sometimes it just stays up the entire call.
Sometimes it shuts off during the call.
If it shuts off during a call I can shake it to get the screen to come on.
Sometimes it just stays up for the rest of the call.
Sometimes its shuts off again.
If it shutss off during a call I can shake it to get the screen to come on.
Repeat...
Quite frustrating. How do I get it to stay up?

My iPhone does the same thing. When I make or receive a call the screen seems to do the opposite of what it should do. When I put the phone to my ear the screen activates, when I pull it away the screen locks. This causes me to press the touch screen when talking on the phone, buttons like mute and keypad.. highly frustrating. Also when I try to hang up, the screen locks preventing me to end the call.. have left numerous unintented voicemails due to this.
I have tried adjusting the auto-lock setting but this does not help and is up-to-date. Any ideas?
