X6 pushserver.exe unnecessary processes

Hello, can anybody tell me what the pushserver.exe is responsible for on my Nokia X6? I installed the Best Taskman and under processes there is a pushserver.exe running. But i have no nokia messaging installed or any pushservices activated on my phone (so far i know). I get often an error running opera mobile, that there is not enough memory and i have to close other apps, although i have no other programs running while opera mobile is loaded. But what processes are not necessary? Thanks for help Dendagard

Hello Lenovo,
I am also having problems with the Lenovo T61 with Windows Vista.
At the startup there was an unacceptable lot of CPU activity and harddisk hdd grinding for 15 minutes. Since I intend to preserve my harddisk, I have identified the following culprits:
Vista ReadyBoost
Vista Prefetch Service
Vista ReadyBoot
Lenovo Registry Monitor Service
Now, I have disabled the ReadyBoost Service, the Prefetch Service, and the ReadyBoot (through the Event Viewer - search for it on www to see where to drill down to do this), but the Registry Monitor Service is causing the most problems.
Lenovo describes the Register Monitor Service as a general service used by other applications to support various Lenovo functionalities - these you want to keep, including the fingerprint security made available through the Client Security mechanism.
I too have tried removing scheduler_proxy.exe and tvt_reg_monitor_svc.exe from the registry, under Run. But they just come back. I have tried disabling the Register Monitor Service altogether, deleting its file - it just comes back when I use the fingerprint identifier. I have tried making the service startup manual, which is also unsatisfactory.
 What I would like is a real solution, it could along the lines of one the following:
1) An updated tvt_reg_monitor which only does what its name implies - in other words which is decoupled from the functionalities mentioned by Lenovo, including Client Security. This would enable me to disable the monitor.
2) A way to configure the tvt_reg_monitor_svc.exe to NOT look through the registry for changes, while still providing the fingerprint functionality.

  • How do I troubleshoot installation/distribution of a LabVIEW .exe which processes data using Matlab when it works on some computers but not others?

    I've been given the unenviable task of troubleshooting and installing/distributing software written by a former co-worker. I've modified the LabVIEW code and built an .exe file. I've successfully installed the Labview .exe file on several computers, but it won't work on some others. What's more baffling is that I installed it successfully on one computer, uninstalled it, and tried reinstalling it with no success. In fact, it's a new error (Dr. Watson for Windows NT application error). It doesn't help that I have different versions of LabVIEW and Matlab on the target computers. Some have LabVIEW 5.1, some
    have 5.0, and some don't have it at all. Some have Matlab 5.2, some have 5.3 (R11) and some have 6.0 (R12). It's also not clear to me where the Matlab m files should be located. I'm not sure if it's a LabVIEW Runtime Engine problem, or if it's a Matlab problem. I've also wondered how LabVIEW and Matlab talk to each other. When LabVIEW calls Matlab, it seems that Matlab is running in the background. In other words, clicking on the Matlab Command Window and typing "whos" or any other command/variable doesn't work.

  • When i open reader two AcroRd32.exe*32 processes open and never close even after exiting the reader.

    when i open reader two AcroRd32.exe*32 processes open and do not close after closing the reader. i have seen 10 AcroRd31.exe*32 processes open. do I have an undetectable virus or is the software just poorly written and tested. I am running Windows 7 premium that is fully up to date and the reader is up to date also. i have even deleted reader and reinstalled it.
    All 8 Processors activity jumps really high while AcroRd.exe*32 is running with no pdf documents open and as soon as i end the processes the processor activity goes down to near 0 according to the performance tab in task manager. My fan also kicks on because of all the heat from the processor.

    open acrord32.exe and go to edit, preferences, internet, and then uncheck "Allow fast web view" and "allow speculative downloading in the background". This will save your processor and keep your system from locking up from all of the acrord32.exe processes running.

  • Because you this loading firefox.exe like process from the beginning of the computer with a load from 38 to 42000 kb or like I can solve this problem

    because you this loading firefox.exe like process from the beginning of the computer with a load from 38 to 42000 kb or like I can solve this problem, atualmente when lighting the computer among the processes that are loaded when beginning the computer is a process of name firefox.exe with a load of between 30 and 50000 kb but I don't find to the registered firefox inside the programs to crgar from the beginning when entering for msconfig.exe my operating system is so far windows xp up-to-date sp3 and my firefox is 7.0.1 version in Spanish that is my native language.

    That seems very suspicious. Two suggestions.
    First, try Firefox's Safe Mode. This will let you work around problems with add-ons and perhaps help you identify things to remove so that Firefox goes back to normal.
    I recommend making a backup of your Firefox settings before starting in Safe Mode. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
    Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
    [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
    Does that work? If so, you may need to disable your add-ons and just bring the most essential ones back to life until you discover the problem one.
    Second thought: malware. You could supplement your usual security scans with these:
    Malwarebytes Anti-malware : http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
    SUPERAntiSpyware : http://www.superantispyware.com/
    HouseCall : http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
    Hope this helps.

  • ITunes.exe *32 process does not close

    I have to use task manager to close itunes.exe *32 process.  Then I have to reboot my machine (Dell XPS 650/Windowa 7 x64).  Itunes will sucessfully open.  I synced my Ipad 2 and 2 ipods.  Used exit to leave itunes desktop 10.5.3 - but the process does not close.  Closing it with task manager so an itunes.exe process is not running.  Try to execute itunes desktop in regular and safe modes result in "iTunes not responding."  Reboot the machine and I get one use of itunes desktop before the whole mess starts over.  At least I have a way to sync my devices.  But this has been happening ever since the release that introduced the cloud.  Someone needs to channel Steve J and get these guys back on the ball.

  • How to access stored script path in variable for Powershell.exe in Process.Start in VB Winform

    Hello Team,
    If starting Powershell within an application (Say VB Winform) - can I pass the path of the Powershell script to Powershell as a variable.
    For example:
    Dim vPS_Path as String = Request.Querystring("ScriptPath")Process.Start("Powershell.exe", "-File vPS_Path"
    Please note I do not want to spell out the path rather have it contained in vPS_Path.
    Any pointers appreciated.
    Many thanks,

    My vbscript is rusty, but I'd think you'd want to do it like:
    Process.Start("Powershell.exe","-File " & vPS_Path)
    I hope this post has helped!

  • CE 7.2 Server installation - jstart.exe - some processes running

    I have installed CE 7.2 server in my desktop, Iam able to start Maxdb and in the 3 instance boxes, 1, maxdb and 2. instances are wroking but J2Server is stopped.
    when I saw the instance it says JStart.exe is showing some processes are running.. thats it..
    what should I do, I have XP m/c /2GB RAM only , is that a problem?

    Hi there,
    2GB RAM is not very much but I don't know if this is the actual problem. We have Developer Workplaces running on 3GB without any problems.
    A good idea would be if you check and post some logs. a good start point would be the work folder in the instance directory.
    dev_server0 and so on. I guess you can also access the logs directly out of SAPMMC.
    WIthout any further info, I am afraid, nobody can really help you here.
    So long

  • WerFault.exe locks processes

    Hi.
    I have applications that crash very soon, we working on it... But there is another question.
    Windows exception handler WerFault.exe sometimes suspends crashed application for a long time and it totally locks. Even after sign out of user, suspended process remains. Windows Error Reporting Service disabled.
    Is there way to totally disable WerFault.exe?

    Hi Partner,
    Thank you for your post.
    From your description, I see that you want to know how to disable WerFault.exe.
    Please let me know if I have misunderstood anything.
    Based on my research, for current situation, we can take the following steps to disable WerFault.exe.
    1. Open Services console, select Windows Error Reporting Service.
    2. Double-click it with you mouse and select Disable as startup type.
    However, if we change startup type of the Windows Error Reporting Service to
    Disabled,  Windows Error Reporting begins to make problems. If we do so, and a program triggers WerFault.exe, the WerFault.exe Process won’t terminate until you kill it yourself using taskkill /IM werfault.exe or taskmanager.
    If we need to ensure that Werfault.exe will never be spawned when an unhandled exception is encountered, we can choose one of the following resolution paths.
    1) Create a software restriction policy (via local policy or Domain GPO) to disallow Werfault.exe for all users.
    Or
    2) Use Image File Executions Options to cause Werfault.exe to be executed under a non-existent debugger(NUL).  Since NUL can’t be found, the process fails to launch.
    (REG ADD “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\Werfault.exe” /v Debugger /t REG_SZ /d NUL /f)
    Hopefully the information is helpful.
    Please let me know if there is is any update. Thank you for your update.
    Best Regards,
    Sophia Sun

  • Controlling "CMD.EXE" via Process - Never ends?

    I'm trying to write a Java program that parses a text file & executes various command promt commands (I'm trying to keep it platform independant, because I know Lin/Un/nix users who would find this userful as well). I found a small tutorial on the web which gave an example of:
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("<YOUR COMMAND HERE>");
    BufferedReader stdInput = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
    BufferedWriter stdOutput = new BufferedWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(p.getOutputStream()));
    BufferedReader stdErr = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
    Now; I have inserted "cmd.exe" for <YOUR COMMAND HERE>. If I write a command out to stdOutput, the first command executes, but not subsequent ones. Small segment looks like:
    while (line != null) {
    stdOutput.write("mkdir \"" + new_folder + "\"\n");
    stdOutput.flush();
    line = file_reader.readLine();
    This is an abridged version of my ode, but thats the problem. I get the first folder created, the process never terminates and I've tried emptying out the stdInput & stdErr bufferes, but it still won't execute subsequent commands issued to stdOutput.
    Can someone help me? I'd rather not write this all to a .BAT/.sh file :(

    I am quite perplexed now! I have just tried the following code on my PC, and have ended up with the most annoying two folders under my C:\ drive!
    import java.io.*;
    public class Cmd {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            try {
                Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd.exe");
                BufferedReader stdInput = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
                BufferedWriter stdOutput = new BufferedWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(p.getOutputStream()));
                BufferedReader stdErr = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
    //            System.out.println(stdInput.readLine());
    //            System.out.println(stdInput.readLine());
    //            System.out.println(stdInput.readLine());
                stdOutput.write("mkdir \"c:\\folder1\"\n");
                stdOutput.flush();
    //            System.out.println(stdInput.readLine());
                stdOutput.write("mkdir \"c:\\folder2\"\n");
                stdOutput.flush();
    //            System.out.println(stdInput.readLine());
            } catch (IOException e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
    Perlexion over! Since you had your code in a loop I tried the same. I saw that in a loop creating 10 folders, the code created only two. See below the code that fixed this problem:
    import java.io.*;
    public class Cmd {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            try {
                Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd.exe");
                BufferedReader stdInput = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
                BufferedWriter stdOutput = new BufferedWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(p.getOutputStream()));
                BufferedReader stdErr = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
                System.out.println(stdInput.readLine());
                System.out.println(stdInput.readLine());
                System.out.println(stdInput.readLine());
                stdOutput.write("mkdir \"c:\\folder1\"\n");
                stdOutput.flush();
                System.out.println(stdInput.readLine());
                stdOutput.write("mkdir \"c:\\folder2\"\n");
                stdOutput.flush();
                System.out.println(stdInput.readLine());
            } catch (IOException e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
    }Commenting out different combinations of System.outs gives different results.
    In summary: it is important that you match the correct number of output lines from the CMD.EXE output stream with readLines.
    I didn't like how the wording came out, but you get the gist.

    Manuel Amago.

    This occurs each time I start Firefox. The bookmarks work OK while I am using Firefox and you can add to them and save them to a HTM file. The html doesn't work for backup. • FMSEdge.exe runaway process on 3.5.2/Win2003 server?

    Default install of Flash Media Server 3.5.2 r654 on Windows 2003 Server Sp2. 16 GB of RAM.
    Just testing with the out of box Flash application, and simple 'hello world' rtmp streaming video app, we see several times a day at seemingly random intervals FMSEdge.exe will jump to 100% and peg the CPU and stay there. Until it is killed, the Flash applications are unresponsive until it is killed.
    As one would expect, this is a showstopper for any serious use -- has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions for troubleshooting? Keep in mind this is an OOB install.
    There was a previous thread mentioning a similar issue (ie FMSEdge pegs cpu) coinciding with the virus scan, however no one responded to solve that issue.
    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Still having the CPU pegged problem, attached is a snipped from the edge00.log that looks suspicious -- the Bad network data continues for hundreds of lines and then finally the last entry is:

    Hello jobzaa, sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
    You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
    * [http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/default.aspx Microsoft Safety Scanner]
    * [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware]
    * [http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363 TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility]
    * [http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro/ Hitman Pro]
    * [http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/ ESET Online Scanner]
    [http://windows.microsoft.com/MSE Microsoft Security Essentials] is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
    Further information can be found in the [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]] article.
    Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
    thank you
