X60s vs. X61s battery - cover & foot are different? I there an adapter plate?

I just aquired an X61s and the installed battery (8 cell - it extends out the back) is a bit odd.
It snaps in fine and works OK, but there is a gap at the left end (with laptop upside down) about 1/4" wide, and the battery pack that stands a bit proud of the bottom of the unit only has one foot on it which is on the right side...
It was suggested to me that I may have an X60s battery instead of the X61s style....
Looking on the Lenovo site it seems they take the same P/N
(actually I could not find a battery marked for the X61s, but only for the X60 "series" )
Has anyone else run into this?
Is there an adapter plate that might fix this?
THANKS!

  • Bluetooth keyboard battery cover is stuck/fused - how do you open it?

The battery leaked and now I'm unable to open the battery cover. I took it to an Apple store but they are charging me $69.00 to replace it because it's already out of warranty.  They tried to open it as well but was unsuccessful. Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

    hi macpt88,
I just realised that i've this problem with my keyboard too! my online research has suggested the use of penetrating oils (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penetrating_oil).
i got the suggestion from a camera forum (this is the link: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-43079.html), where people suggested many different ways of getting it open. i'm going back to try WD-40 on the stuck cover. hope it works.
best of luck to you too! if you find a way to get it open, please post it here! i'll do likewise.

  • Broken battery cover for Zen Nano P

Riding in the car, playing w Nano Plus, the thing slipped and swung maybe 3 inches, and cracked off the little appendage of the battery cover that slips inside and keeps the battery cover from sliding off. Can I buy a new one someplace, or am I relegated tothe world of Duct Tape?

I happen to agree with abh5. The design of this mp3 player is a JOKE!!!
The battery cover breaks off when you least expect it, and it's so small, you don't feel it, so there's no telling where the cover lands. Going thru Creative is a JOKE! I already got a free battery cover replacement, but within a month, THAT?broke as well! I contacted Creative, and they said it's going to cost this time. Now, I'm expected to pay approximately $20 to get another cover (with shipping)! I told them that this is NOT an uncommon problem, and directed them to several different sites that discuss this problem (with still no solution), and that's where the conversation ended. I REALLY wish I hadn't bought this one. I guess I should have done my research, but I purchased it when it first came out, so it wouldn't have done any good. What a joke! Stay away from this product, unless you want to lose battery covers and batteries over and over. That becomes expensi've, especially if you are taking the economical way and using rechargable batteries! STAY AWAY! AVOID!

  • Stiff Battery cover for Lumia 520

Today I configured my first Lumia 520 and it was an 'interesting' experience.
    I have 2 complaints:
    1. Whilst the battery cover adds a nice feel to the phone, it is stiff and very difficult to peel off.
    2. The online instructions provided for peeling off the battery cover frightens me, that I will bend the motherboard, hence break the phone.
This was an issue associated with wearing mobiles around ones waist causing many repairs.  Motorola models seemed the worst affilicted.
    I'm filled with trepidation.

The technique described in the online instructions lets the back cover be removed with very little force.  You just have to be sure that you insert your thumbnail between the soft outer cover and the hard inner shell, and not between the hard shell and the screen.
At first glance it can seem that you are supposed to put your thumbnail into the cutout for the earpiece, but that's not right.  There's a narrow, hard ridge that runs right around the edge of the screen, and you insert your thumbnail outside that ridge to peel away the soft plastic case that clips around it.
    Hope that helps.

  • Blackberry Pearl Battery Cover Clip Broken

My pearl took a little fall and now the silver battery clip has broken (with the spring coming out and such).  Can I buy a replacement clip for the battery cover?  Where would I find this?

eBay has TONS of vendors selling these because Blackberry did a VERY POOR engineering job on these.
Just search for "Blackberry Pearl Latch". They SHOULD replace them for free.  It's gotten so bad that T-Mobile sales people are dissuading customers from buying Pearls just because they get so many complaints about the broken latches.  So, head their advice unlike me. I bought one on eBay.  When I saw it I could see why they break so often. It is a tiny, cheaply made and fragile part.  I broke the replacement trying to get it installed.  So, if anybody tries to replace one themselves be very careful with the 3 tiny little pins on the latch.
Blackberry should be paying for these to be repaired.

Recharging is a good thing to try. They do start to act odd when the battery gets low. Beyond that, just like Tom says, contact Zagg. I have one of their keyboards and the company has wonderful customer service.

  • Can I use Zen Nano firmware in my N200? Also battery cover replaceme

I was looking for a firmware update for my N200 and noticed it hadn't been updated since February. The N200 isn't even listed in the menu of products. The Nano and Nano Plus were listed separately, however, and the Nano has been updated this month. Can I use it in my N200? I've searched this forum and read you cannot use Nano Plus firmware in an N200, but the Nano is listed separately so I thought maybe it was a rebadged N200. Thanks!
Also, my battery cover broke. How can I go about getting a replacement? I looked through the online store and accessories, but didn't see anything.Message Edited by bookends on 06-22-2006 2:36 AM

The last update for the N200 added Thai support for the display.
The last update for the Nano Plus added Chinese and Japanese language support. This might not be of interest to most, but it is to me. I am also always interested in improvements in firmware revisions no matter how small. I also don't see a comprehensi've changelog, just a "changes since last version." The N200 and Nano Plus are basically identical, but why does the Nano Plus continue to get firmware revisions the N200 does not? There are obvious improvements the Nano Plus benefits from that the N200 does not. It doesn't make sense to me.

  • Need battery cover for muvo tx fm mp3 play

Absentmindidly while changing the aaa battery, I thought that I could use the tab on the battery cover to dig out the battery. Of course it broke!?How would I get a new battery cover? I'm hoping to get the metallic blue cover, but anything would do.
Nothing on ebay and customer support isn't working.
    Any ideas?

To transfer files from a CD... I place the cd in tray, close it, open Creative MediaSource Organizer and rip the CD...now what are my settings? I have it set on WMA Stereo, DRM enabled, 28 Kb
    ps.
Rip the tracks I want to my PC Music Library. Insert my mp3 player (hard calling it that as it yet has to play a track of anything), and set the Muvo TX FM as the destination source and transfer files. After transfer, close all windows, open My Computer, open Dri've F and there are my tracks...yeah, but wait. I safely remove hardware, and insert it into player and attempt to turn it on...3 seconds later...denied. SIGH. Okay, reinsert player, open Di've F...ohh surprise..not formatted. Click on my exe. with latest driver (see original post), reinstall original driver again. Reformat again using FAT not FAT32 per tech support. Safely remove hardware. Insert into player, turn on...yeah turns on, no music, but can access FM..okay so not a TOTAL waste of $$$. Reinsert into computer, open my computer, dri've F, empty file. It's recognized and formatted. OPen Creative MediaSource Organizer...transfer files..no error messages..repeat....repeat...repeat. Same result. Should I try FAT32? Should I try to rip a cd w/o using DRM enabled? Does the LCD screen need to come on when in usb port? I have not tried to rip CD's using WMP0 yet as CMsO came with the player. Is it better?Message Edited by drewj28 on 09--2006 09:38 PM

  • Footer area in Fireworks

Maybe this is a silly question but I just cannot get an answer.
Is it possible to define a footer area which will always appear at the bottom of the window (page) independently of the size of the window?
When this is possible how do I make / create such an area?

Are you talking about the "Pages" panel? When building papges that are differant lengths I don't add the footer to the Master. I make a footer and paste on each page. I am not aware of a way to have it stay at the bottom

Yes, I have had exactly the same problem with my own N95...
    ...and without even dropping it.
All I did was open up the back cover to insert the SIM card, and then replace the cover. Alas, at that early stage I hadn't noticed how very fragile are the "hooks" that hold the cover to the phone.
    Lesson learnt:
    now very careful;
to date only that single replacement.
It would indeed be nice were the "hooks" to be a little more robust.

    Hi WG!
    Thanks for posting.
There is a sliding lock switch on the battery door that needs to be slid to one side as you also push the battery door out.  Please ensure you are doing both at the same time, otherwise the battery door remains locked.

  • Z2 cracked battery cover repair cost

Hi, i recently brought a Z2 and the battery cover is cracked. Trying to get sony to give a repair price is like getting blood out of a stone anyone have a clue how much they'll charge to fix this roughly. Obviously i know the price may change if other damages are found which theyre wont be. What i cant deal with is not knowing how much i need to expect to pay around as it will take some time to put this money to one side...

You have to contact your local Sony for the price

  • X61 battery error

The battery on my 3-month old X61 cannot be charged any more. The battery indicator blinks in yellow. The power manager just says "A battery error has occured. The battery cannot be charged. Please replace the battery." Anyone got similar problem?

I have had the same problem with my X41 battery. I downloaded a update for my battery and when I installed the update my computer flashed my battery firmware making the battery incompatible with Xp. The sad part is that I have had my battery for more than a year which makes it out of warranty and the condition of the battery is greater than 50% so I do not see why I need to upgrade/buy a new battery like Lenovo is recommending.
When I first recognized my problem I called Lenovo and they said it was probably my motherboard. So I had them replace my motherboard and my case. Then that seem to not fix the problem so they told me to reinstall Windows Xp. After reinstalling my OS my problems still persisted, so now I am in a battle with Lenovo to get me a new battery.
So to everyone out there DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR BATTERY FIRMWARE! Unless you are comfortable knowing that Lenovo will not help you if it goes bad. If only lenovo would fix their patch I would be so much more happy right now.

  • Nokia Lumia 820 Back Battery Cover

    Hi there!
So I recently had my phone replaced by Nokia but I wasn't aware that I was supposed to not include the back battery cover as well. I still have my battery and sim card but just not the back of my phone. I've asked numerous places to see if they had the back of my phone and no one has it. I looked on Amazon and its $23 to get the back of my phone and I thought that was unreasonable just because it was free to have my phone fixed. Also, they are shipping from other countries and my parents are not comfortable with that.  If anyone could please help with just getting the back of my freaking phone that would be wonderful. Thank you!
