X61 Tablet - Wacom Code 10 - Cannot use Pen

I recently got my X61 tablet back from the shop after having some warranty work done (replaced hard drive) and now I can no longer use my pen or any of the other tablet features.  Lenovo sent me recovery disks and they did not help.  I tried downloading the most recent drivers and I am still getting Wacom Code 10 - cannot load driver software.  What can I do?  The support people recommended sending in my tablet for more work but considering the fact that I was unable to get anywhere with the support people after four hours of messing around I have a feeling that they have no idea what is going on.

  • X61 Tablet stops responding to pen

    Greetings, all!
    I have an X61 Tablet 7767-02U (call it X61 A) that is barely three weeks old.  Was working wonderfully until yesterday.  When in tablet mode, it will not respond to the stylus (pen) input.  Stylus from a second, identical X61 does not work on X61 A.  Both stylus pens work on X61 A when not in the tablet mode.  Both pens work in all modes on tablet # 2 (call it X61 B).  What could have happened to the X61 A, the first tablet?
    Pen works when in laptop mode, not in tablet mode.  I know it is not the stylus pen, as the stylus pen works on the twin X61 tablet.  I removed the WACOM driver from the device list, rebooted, and the driver was back, but still no joy.  Ideas?

    I have an update.  I haven't found out anything new from Lenovo or Wacom, but I've been tinkering around, observing what happens. 
    The pen/stylus still freezes once in a while, and I've have not been able to find a "direct" means to "reenabling" it, i.e., I haven't found an explicit source for the problem such as a bad driver, or some button I can do to make the pen/stylus and the laptop start to interact with each other again.
    However, (interestingly enough), if I place my note book in "sleep mode," and/or "suspend," then bring it back the pen/stylus relationship is rebuilt/reconnected and it works fine.  I've tried this several times when it freezes and it works consistently.
    With a little more information about a) Wacom / Pen relationship b) the Wacom / Pen relationship to the notebook c) the "sleep mode / suspend" operation, we could start to piece together what the cause is.
    That is to say, what happens when the laptop is placed into sleep mode, vs what happens when it is brought out of sleep, i.e., what operations does the laptop re-initialize when it wakes up? 
    The bad news is all of this, although, ultimately knowable, is probably too tecnical and/or would just take too much time to figure out.  Someone at Lenovo / Wacom, who is more technical, will ulitimately have to figure it out and fix it. :-)
    All and all, I'm happy it is still working, apparently some people's stylus just totally stops working.

    Your redemption code was used to acquire an activation code.  The activation code is what you need to use when you want to reinstall/enable the software again.  Check your Adobe account online to see if the number(s) can be found there.

  • Error msg Z1019 when using MIRO 'Tax Code V4 cannot be used for Co Code'

    When trying to post an Invoice for an EU Vendor using MIRO we are getting an error message 'Tax code V4 cannot be used for Company Code &'.  Tax Code V4 is set up via FTXP as an input Tax Code 'Services within the EU' with EU code '5 - Input tax for services - VAT 2010'.  Any ideas or thoughts as to why this Tax code is not working as it should be in this scenario?

    You cannot purchase and gift apps from one Apple Store to another. Gift certificates bought from the French app store can only be redeemed in the French app store by someone with a French app store qualifying account. To qualify for an account in a particular country or regional store you must have a bank card for the same country as the store with a local billing adress in the same country as the store.
    You cannot buy a gift certificate in the French store and redeem it in the Canadian store.

  • Used a space in setting security code, now cannot ...

    I recently upgraded my phone and got an N8. When I got the phone, as usual I changed the security codes on it to suit. Here's my problem, maybe someone could help me.
    I changed the security code on my phone to a new code, but the new code I chose uses a space between two words and the phone accepted this no problem when setting the code. Now, after being asked to enter the security code on the phone after a soft reset after a crash, but on the alpha numeric keypad there is no way of inserting a space into the entered code. 0 does not give a space, only a zero.
    Anyone, any ideas on how to get around this.

    Thanks for the reply mate, wasn't sure if anyone had ever come across this problem before. When I set the code, it accepted the following "lone liveman". If it only stores the first 5, I'm kinda screwed anyways because the space is the fifth digit. It's unusual that it accepted this when a space cannot be entered in the keypad for the code. Normally when characters aren't acceptable they're refused when setting up, not afterwards. Anyways will probably just upgrade to a samsung as the centre where I live in Ireland are locally known as ripoff merchants and I don't trust them not to over charge me.
    I'm also useless in holding onto reciepts etc, so would have to go get a reprint from the purhcasing store, this is no problem, but would you know, if I do bring it to a repair centre, can they read the actual set code as above? and wouldn't this stand as proof of ownership as the security code can only be set on a functional phone.

    I have redeem code sent by Apple but when I go to Mac App Store to put redeem code and they said this code can only use in US and some country but not included Vietnam.
    What happened? Apple do not support Apple's Cutomer in Vietam?

  • X61 tablet install of simpletap

    I installed simple tap on my windows-7 powered x61 tablet. I think it's a good start. I particularly enjoyed using the volume and brightness sliders. I added a tile of my own no problem.It' be nice if simple tap had tiles for all the lenovo goodies on my machine such as rescue and recovery, airbag protection, etc.
    My biggest fear is that my x61 with single-touch gets forgotten in the multi-touch world. That would be a shame because a single-touch interface is one that'll work well with an ordinary mouse too. 
    What I'd really like though is a nice touch based windows shell. Origami was getting there I think, but I can't run it in windows 7. It seems the best touch interface we've got at the moment is windows media centre with a few extensions added in. I've even tried the x86 version of android and wasn't too impressed. Touch friendly apps seem to be a fair way off yet

    Does your remark about simpletab apply to a pen enabled X61 as well ?
    (I cannot multitouch, can I ?)

  • X61 Tablet with Windows 8 - no tablet function

    Hi I have just updated an old laptop with Windows 8 (Microsoft has a great offer right now = it is only a great offer if it works ;-) )
    The PC is a: Lenovo ThinkPad X61 tablet 7767.
    But I am having issues with the tablet interface. Windows 8 has been designed to tablets...
    With the virgin installation, the tablet interface does not respond.
    The tablet is found in the Device Manager:
    + Human Interface Devices
    HDI-compliant device (3 lines)
    Wacom Penable Dual Touch
    All control programs are in place, calibration program can be opened, but there is no response from the tablet (pen or touch). I have looked at the lenovo support site, and downloaded various drivers, most with no effect, others caused windows blue screen - which in windows 8 is more light-blue greenish.
    I have also Installed ISD_DualTouch_710-9 from Wacom.eu, this gives the most positive result.
    Both pen and touch works (no dual touch), but is unaligned (when in a corner, pointer is 2cm from corner x and y. center of screen is aligned)
    I cannot calibrate, neither pen nor touch. Running tabcal (from control pannel or commandline) gives 4 popup windows with error messages:
    1) Failet to enumerate the installed digitiser devices.
    2) No suitable hardware was found to calibrate.\nWindows supports calibrating only integrated digitisers.
    3) Invalid display was specified.The Device manager lists the tablet as working:
    + Human Interface Devices
    HID-compliant device
    Wacom Device
    I have tried to find a file holding the calibration; I found a ISDTablet.xml, that looked right, but editing it has no effect and rebooting resets to original value. (The file has a calibration section with coordinates of 4 points)
    Secondary, I can't get the buttons on the tablet to work (Ctrl-Alt-Del, Rotate, Toolbox, Esc and cursor joystick).
    Any ideas are greatly apreciated ;-)

  • Using pen button to scroll / pan with default drivers

    Hi all,
    On a previous tablet pc I owned, I was able to set the pen button to be used to scroll / pan instead of right click. Using the default Lenovo drivers, I see an option to deselect "use pen button as right click", but I don't see where I can instead choose the scrolling option. Does that require the Wacom drivers to be installed? I'm trying to avoid that, since I don't need pressure sensitivity much and I seem to be the only person on this forum whose pen + touch isn't giving me problems, so don't want to unnecessarily change drivers.

  • X61 Tablet is suddenly dead

    I was using a Thinkpad X61 tablet for several years. A few days ago, I found the tablet cannot be turned on. I can hear some small noise when I use battery to boot it. This noise sounds like comes from the battery and the mothboard maybe. It is not the sound of the fan. While switching to the AC supplied mode, the noise is disappeared. I tried many times to power the computer on, but it cannot be turned on.
    I have been experiencing such a wired problem before, but I resumed the computer successfully by pressing and releasing the power button for many times without a battery/AC power before with power supply. But now I forget how to manipulate in details and failed to power the computer on after many trials.
    Hopefully, I can get a solution here. Thanks for your attention.

    I'm glad to see that akinvic solved your problem.
    Another thing to when a laptop will not power on or if it is unresponsive and won't power off is to remove the power cord and the battery, then hold the power button and count slowly to 10.  This is the power reset for a computer. 
    Sometimes when a computer has one of the problems listed above, the computer has power stored in its body.  The power reset releases any excess power trapped in the laptop.

  • Dreamweaver as code generator for use in other applications?

    Hello and thank you in advance for your time and your help!
    I realize and apologize for this lengthy post but I had to explain my issue thoroughly...
    I've just begun teaching myself to use Dreamweaver CS3 (on an iMac running OS X 10.5.8 - Leopard) with the  "Dreamweaver CS3 Missing Manual". I don't know HTML or CSS but am very  willing to learn as much as I can. In the near future, I hope to create a  new website for my domain in Dreamweaver. However, I have an urgent and  immediate need and would like to know whether Dreamweaver can serve a specific purpose...
    My question is whether I will still be able to accomplish the following (even if it is by different means) once I convert to Dreamweaver from FrontPage AND whether or not I should abolish all of the current files at my web server and remove FrontPage extensions before I invest any time into making Dreamweaver my new tool for website development and maintenance.
    I have a domain hosted by GoDaddy and a rather old website that I created using FrontPage 2002 (on a Windows XP desktop). For over 5 years now, I've used FrontPage so that I can work WYSIWYG to generate HTML code that I use in my eBay auction listings. Recently, however, the "network folder" for my web server (on the Windows XP desktop) stopped accepting my password and I cannot find a fix for it. It's my opportunity to finally break from FrontPage but I'm hoping that, before I do, someone can tell me whether or not Dreamweaver can serve my interim and long-term purposes.
    I've been uploading image files using the "network folder" in Windows XP that I set up with FrontPage over 5 years ago. I "drag and drop" or "cut and paste" image files from my computer to my web server in Windows Explorer via the "network folder". Once the images are on the web server, I open FrontPage and ensure that the images show up in my web server files. I then open an existing .html document that I have saved on my hard drive, replace text and images within the file, save the file under a different file name, and then switch to code view where I copy the code directly from FrontPage into my eBay listing. This works perfectly well and has for over 5 years. I do not publish these .html files to the web, nor do I upload the .html files to my web server. They exist only on my hard drive and simply to provide the underlying HTML code for the eBay listings and nothing more. This method allows the images in my eBay auctions to be automatically sourced to their location on my web server without requiring me to do anything more than insert the image(s) from my web server into the .html document/file.
    I think I'm discovering that Dreamweaver works specifically with websites and I'm wondering whether I can use it more generically in this way. If I'm learning correctly, Dreamweaver is quite particular about web server files having an exact match to a root folder on my hard drive. I've defined my site within Dreamweaver and I've since downloaded all existing files from my web server to my hard drive within a folder that is designated as the root folder. However, when I now open an existing .html document (one originally created in FrontPage and stored on my hard drive only) and replace an image (by cutting the existing image and dragging the other from the "remote view" of the "files" pane) with one that exists both on my web server and in my root folder, Dreamweaver makes the source/reference path point to the image file on my hard drive and, as you know, that won't do if I transfer that code to my eBay listing. So I've uploaded the actual .html file to the web server within Dreamweaver (something that I never had to do with FrontPage) and now I can change the HTML code manually (or the source in the "properties" panel for the image) for the image source to include "http://mydomain/..." (it doesn't include that automatically as FrontPage did). That now seems to make the code work but I have to store my .html files on the server and I have to make that manual change.

    eBay uses some seriously flawed markup on their auction pages.  In fact, they don't even ALLOW you to use good code. You're better off using their proprietary tools for this.   IMO, DW is not the right tool for creating eBay pages.
    When you're ready to build a serious web site, come back to Dreamweaver.

    Hello: I am being told by Metalink Support the following:
    " Bi Publisher 5.6.3 (10.1.3.2.0) does not have native support for CLOB.
    This comes in BI Publisher Enterprise 10.1.3.3.0.
    There are no plans at this time to upgrade EBS to higher versions of BI Publishe
    r code."
    So for EBS - 12, I cannot use CLOBS ?????
    How am I supposed to write reports that use large CLOBS ?
    Also, there was some mention about leaving out DataStructures in templates for CLOBS ?
    Anyone with experience in this situation, please help ...

    Hi Yesh,
    There is a BI (XML) Publisher Desktop for 5.6.3 that you can use, and you can use the latest versions of the desktop to build your layouts, but be aware the later versions may have more supported features not present in 5.6.3. I use 10.1.3.something for developing EBS reports and have standalone BIP Server on my desktop for checking features against.
    Data Templates are not the only way to register BIP reports in the EBS Concurrent Manager.
    You can use **any** program as long as it does actually output XML and you have set the "Output" to XML.
    The choice is up to you as to how you extract your data to XML - whatever works!
    I'm not sure what all your CLOB issues are, but creating the XML that have CLOBS shouldn't cause issues (unless you are forced by something to use dataTemplates).
