X64 bit support for Media Manager

Does anyone know when 64 bit support will be written for the Media Manager.  I am currently using a work around by setting my phone as an external drive and Windows Media Manager to sync my music, but I would like to use a more intergrated piece of software so that I don't have to do so many different things to customize my Droid X.
Windows 7 Ultimate Edition x64.

Hello! This is Noah with Verizon Wireless. Hope you are having a great day!
I apologize but currently there is no information on the release of an update for the V Cast Media Manager software.

  • Getting Platform not supported for media spanning on Mac OSX

Managed to get to unpack "Archive: j2eesdk-1_4-linux.bin"
    but getting
warning [j2eesdk-1_4-linux.bin]: 343376 extra bytes at beginning or within zipfile
    (attempting to process anyway)
In spirit I try the next step:
    java -cp package/PackageFormat.jar:. appserv
    but get:
Platform not supported for media spanning: com.sun.wizards.media.Mac_os_xMediaSupport
FYI The misc zip files (jdk, imq, ant etc ) are unexpanded
    Any advice most welcome!
    Tim

Yes, I got this too when I tried that. I've analyzed the source for appserv.class. What Sun did was sneak in lots of classes into the tail end of the file and this class loads from itself. It's a ClassLoader. I don't see why they did this when they could have used a .jar. To look at debugging output, you can put the following command line flags on: -Dwizard.debug=true -Dwizard.debugClassLoading=true. Kind of interesting actually. To chase this further, one could hack the decompiled source to spit out the class files as it loads them so that they could be decompiled further, especially looking at the Linux implementation. Hopefully it could be stubbed out to work satisfactory enough.
What I've done to get the J2EE.jar is rummage through the "packages" directory. I found both SUNWascmn.zip and SUNWasu.zip to have useful libraries. I also observed the libraries end in .jar.pack. The PackageFormat.jar file contains 2 classes, one for packing and one for unpacking. Check out the class sun.tools.pack.Unpack. It'll display usage. I ran this against some jar.pack's of interest to me, notable j2ee.jar.pack of course and it decompressed it. By the way, the pack format is JSR 200 http://www.jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=200 which is supposedly in Java 1.5.
    That was fun :-)
But yeah... it really pisses me off that Sun doesn't seem to acknowledge Mac OS X as a Java platform for the language they developed to be cross platform. What irony!

  • Why doesn't elements 12 have 64 bit support for PC users?

Why doesn't elements 12 have 64 bit support for PC users? Most PC's these days are shipped with far more than 2GB of RAM. This move seems very limiting to those with high demands for RAM. Image sizes are only getting larger meaning more RAM needed for adjustments and editing. I have been putting off buying elements 11 waiting to see if 12 had 64 bit support and I am very disappointed to find it doesn't. I can't see myself buying 12 unless a 64 bit for PC is launched soon.

    Update? It's a major release, ain't it?
Mac got the 64-bit. Why? From Pete Green's announcement:
A handful of features from previous versions are not available in Photoshop Elements 12 due to new product support for 64-bit systems.
But, of course, Windows users have no such need...

  • LabVIEW 64-bit support for modules and toolkits

I've just finished installing the 64-bit version
of LabVIEW 2009 under 64-bit Windows 7 Professional.  However as noted
above very few toolkits and modules are available for this
version. Some of those MIA include MathScript, VI Analyzer, Advance
Signal Processing Toolkit, etc. I realize development and testing takes
time but think it's reasonable to ask that NI put up a table or chart
of toolkits and modules clearly showing which ones are
available/compatible with 64-bit LabVIEW, as well as timelines for when
    these will be available.
(Apologies for cross-posting from the Ideas Exchange but that board doesn't seem to get much traffic...)

    Hi Magma,
The Vision Development Module is currently the only module available for 64-bit LabVIEW.  We currently have not released a timeline for other modules, but we are working on other 64-bit support.  The links below summarize the current functionality of LabVIEW 64 bit.

  • Sun Cluster 3.1 64 bit support  for Solaris 10

    Hi:
I have some questions when migrate SC 3.1 from solaris 9 to solaris 10.
    1) Does Clutster 3.1 for solaris 10 support 64 bit?
I have develop own resource type which is compiled with 64 bit mode, while cluster admin program is 32 bit based. E.g. /usr/cluster/bin/scrgadm
Will that cause any problem? For instance: 32 bit lib and 64 bit lib have the same name libscha.so will be loaded by 32 bit scrgadm and 64 bit my own developped resource type program.
    2) Can I download a Cluster 3.1 install-pkg for solaris 10, 64 bit supported., which means all admin files like scrgadm are 64 bit based.
Or only ONE Cluster 3.1 version for solaris 10 is deliveried by SUN?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    Comments on your 2 questions:
    1) Yes. IIRC, SC31 for S10 actually supports ONLY 64 bit. To be clear, this means
Solaris has to be booted in 64 bit mode, but 32 bit applications would run just
    fine.
As for your RT being 64 bit, and scrgadm being 32 bit, no problem.
    2) See (1). You are good.
    Go for it.

  • SQL Server 2014 support for Workflow Manager?

    Is this configuration supported?
The prerequisite requirements for Workflow Manager are out of date and do not even list SQL 2012 R2 as a supported DB server.

    Hi JB
We installed Workflow Manager 1.0 on a Dev SharePoint 2013 SP1 + April 2014 CU Farm running Against SQLServer 2014 which I suspect in not much different under the hood to your SQL2012R2.

  • What ports do I open for Media Manager?

I'm having trouble getting my Media Manager files seen by my DVRs (QIP-7232s). I have enabled such services that allow me to remotely admin my DVRs from the web, so I know they can be seen on the network. But I cannot get them to see the MM server running on my network.
I have a second router between my ActionTec and my XP Pro (32 b) server running Media Manager and holding all my video files. This is the routher that serves the IP addresses for my network.
Installing Media Manager seemed to go well. No errors.
However, none of my DVRs can locate the Media Manager and the contained files. I suspect I need to open a port or two on the 2nd router to allow the Verizon MoCA router access to the MM application.
Does any one know what ports I need to open?

Wow, this makes me want to pull my hair out..
    It shouldn't be this difficult
I think I'm going to remove my router and just go with the ActionTec.
When I have more time (and patience) I'll go back into the world of port fowarding.
    Thanks!

  • NetBook Screen Resolution for Media Manager

I have an LG x120 Netbook. As a net book, the screen is small, so the max screen resolution is something like 1024 x 566. This si below the minimum screen resolution required for even opening up the Media Manager.
Needless to say, THIS SUCKS, how do I get round this stupid requirement?
    Jonathan O'Halloran
    www.quantumdx.com

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Sorry, but basically, you don't...as you stated, the software has a minimum screen resolution requirement. Simple as that. If your system does not meet that, then the software won't work. You can read this KB for more information, including a workaround.
    Good luck!

  • Support for Container Managed XA Txn?

I have been searching the online documentation but have been unable to

  • Lack of true Ubuntu 64-bit support for Connect add-in

    Dear Adobe,
This well-worn conversation seems to have been asked a few times before, and ignored a few times before, so you'll forgive me for re-opening it again.
I downloaded the 64-bit debian package of your Adobe Connect add-in yesterday from Adobe's website. Here it is sitting on my local disk:
    $ ls ~/.shared/
    total 540108
    drwxrwxrwx 2 root     root          4096 2012-05-31 15:00 ./
    drwxr-xr-x 5 root     root          4096 2012-04-23 22:24 ../
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root     root     540016672 2012-05-27 00:03 temp.tar
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root     root       4026194 2012-05-30 22:51 ConnectAddin64.deb
I then installed the package. However, when I tried to join my meeting, before the "Connecting..." screen appears with the progress bar, a blank white page flashed very briefly saying "Adobe Connect add-in not installed". Unsurprisingly, I wasn't able to join my meeting, and your online diagnostics site also confirmed that the add-in wasn't installed in my browser (Firefox 11).
Then, reading other users' tales of woe, I located and analysed the installed binary, and this is what I saw:
    $ readelf -h /usr/local/connectaddin
    ELF Header:
      Magic:   7f 45 4c 46 01 01 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
      Class:                             ELF32
      Data:                              2's complement, little endian
      Version:                           1 (current)
      OS/ABI:                            UNIX - System V
      ABI Version:                       0
      Type:                              EXEC (Executable file)
      Machine:                           Intel 80386
      Version:                           0x1
      Entry point address:               0x8055810
Start of program headers:          52 (bytes into file)
Start of section headers:          7629080 (bytes into file)
      Flags:                             0x0
Size of this header:               52 (bytes)
Size of program headers:           32 (bytes)
      Number of program headers:         9
Size of section headers:           40 (bytes)
      Number of section headers:         42
Section header string table index: 39
This is a 32-bit binary. There is absolutely no mistake about it. And even though it is a GTK binary,  it fails to work on a 64-bit system with 32-bit dual support due to the fact it appears to have the search paths to its libraries hard-coded into it:
    $ export GTK_PATH=/usr/lib32/gtk-2.0
    $ ./connectaddin
    (connectaddin:5416): Gtk-WARNING **: /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/immodules/im-ibus.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
(connectaddin:5416): Gtk-WARNING **: Loading IM context type 'ibus' failed
You notice how GTK_PATH is ignored. The path in the above message is where the 32-bit binary would be sitting if I were on a 32-bit native system. However, as I'm on a 64-bit system, my 32-bit libraries are in:
    $ ls /usr/lib32/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/immodules
    total 180

Will somebody please let us users know when Adobe will be (or won't be, for that matter) actually providing a true 64-bit linux version of their Adobe Connect add-in, instead of packaging the 32-bit version of the add-in in an archive that says 64-bit?
    Thanks in advance,

That is the last supported player for Linux using the NPAPI. Chrome's new API, PPAPI, is still going to be supported in Linux, Mac and PC OS's and will have the current version of Flash Player for all those OS's.
Here is Adobe's statement regarding Flash Player on Linux OS's.
    Adobe wrote:
    Linux:
Adobe has been working closely with Google to develop a single, modern API for hosting plug-ins within the browser. The PPAPI, code-named "Pepper", aims to provide a layer between the plug-in and browser that abstracts away differences between browser and operating system implementations. You can find more information on the Pepper API at http://code.google.com/p/ppapi/.
Because of this work, Adobe has been able to partner with Google in providing a "Pepper" implementation of Flash Player for all x86/64 platforms supported by the Google Chrome browser. Google will begin distributing this new Pepper-based Flash Player as part of Chrome on all platforms, including Linux, later this year.
For Flash Player releases after 11.2, the Flash Player browser plug-in for Linux will only be available via the "Pepper" API as part of the Google Chrome browser distribution and will no longer be available as a direct download from Adobe. Adobe will continue to provide security updates to non-Pepper distributions of Flash Player 11.2 on Linux for five years from its release.
Flash Player will continue to support browsers using non-"Pepper" plug-in APIs on platforms other than Linux.
Adobe will be providing a debug player implementation of the Flash Player browser plug-in on Linux, and will update this document once there are more details on how it will be distributed.
The full release can be seen here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplatform/whitepapers/roadmap.html

  • BlackBerry 10 support for desktop manager ASAP!!!

Hi. My work just upgraded my phone and to the 4G EE network two weeks ago and initially got a Nokia limit (as they BBC10 hadn't launched) but as windows phone 8 didn't support outlook sync and I've been a loyal blackberry user for years, we sent the last phone back as I knew the new blackberry 10 was coming out and loved desktop manager for its usability with outlook so I assumed I would be able to sync my work contacts with the new blackberry Z10.
How utterly disjointed that blackberry 10 doesn't support desktop manager and blackberry link does sync with outlook. The old Research in Motion would never have wanted to alienate their loyal followers. But this is the new Blackberry. Microsoft did the same thing when they stopped supporting activsync on windows phone with their own software but I never thought blackberry would follow them.
Will desktop manager be upgraded soon to blackberry 10 or shall I send my new Z10 back along with WP8 and get an I Phone or Android device!
I can't believe I demanded the new blackberry now!

    Your right!!
Blackberry should just shut the door and turn the lights out, the lack of ability to sync with outlook is the last straw. My Z10 arrives in 3 hours and isn't even going to be unwrapped and is going straight back. I'll keep my 9800 till it dies and then get something else, why should anyone of us as customers accept a backward step..

  • Windows 64 bits support for UCM

    Hi.
We are currently preparing a fairly large UCM deployment for one of our customers. This customer requires use of Microsoft Windows on all his servers, preferably the 64 bits flavor. The actual machines are recent 64 bit Xeon boxes.
What is the timeframe, if any, for the availability of a UCM version certified for such a setup?
    Thanks for your answer.

last time I checked, 64 bit windows support was a pretty low priority. There's little reason why Stellent would require a 64 bit processor... except in rare cases where you need more than 2 GB of RAM to run your system.

  • Future support for APPV Management Servers

I have heard rumors that APPV is moving away from the separate Management servers and future releases will only support SCCM integration.  Is this a true roadmap ?

I don't have any insider information BUT I have not heard this from anybody. I'd lean on the side of not believing this. It's still an ok solution for small Enterprise.
Considering the announcement yesterday, what the future holds for App-V should be very interesting.
