X64 drivers for RS480M2-IL

Hello all,
Anyone knows when the drivers for Windows x64 will come out ?
It's hard to believe that they sell a 64 bit motherboard without any drivers for it.
Thanks

ATI already has Catalyst 5.4 for x64
https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=27
Realtek has x64 Audio drivers

Most companies are releasing x64 beta drivers, before x64 Windows is even out. Like someone said, give it some time.
I simply don't think this is right.  Windows 64 has been in beta for a longgg time, and Athlon 64 CPUs have been selling very well for a longggg time.  There's no excuse for ATI to drag their feet like this, no excuse.  I want my Windows 64 drivers.  If they don't come out soon my next motherboard will not be an ATI based board, as much as I like ATI I'll go elsewhere.  The reason I'm annoyed is I built a new system with this board and need to purchase an OS (currently re-loading Windows XP Pro every 30 days using the CD for my other system).  I'd like to go directly to Windows 64, I do not want to have to buy Windows XP and THEN Windows 64.

    You're very welcome.
If the graphics driver works, it should install the drivers for the touchscreen too.
If not, try the one directly from Intel...

  • Where can I find XP x64 drivers for Portege R500 - hotkey / power management?

Where can I find downloads that will enable power management or hotkey support for my Portege R500?
I have already installed drivers for everything except fingerprint reader (don't want), tpm (really don't want), and hdd motion sensor (tos620a) (not bothered about right now). Most drivers are latest from original vendor websites, or, failing those, from Toshiba's Vista 64-bit download areas.
Everything else generally works: wifi, graphics & chipset, sound, lan, bluetooth stack, cardbus, card reader, etc.
However, having done this, the following issues remain:
FN hotkeys don't work for suspend to ram, suspend to disk, *screen* *brightness* - essential to extending lifetime; FN hotkeys for numeric/direction pad, external monitor toggle *do* work
Dedicated backlight toggle button doesn't do anything
However, in order to get battery lifetime beyond ~2.5 hours and closer to the rated 7.1 hours, I'll need to turn some things down / off occasionally. What software can help and where can I get it, such that it works on Windows XP x64 edition?
    Note:
I have tried the xp 32-bit packages that Toshiba supplies, they don't appear to work on x64. The 'ctrls' package requires 'cmod', but 'cmod' gives this error:
    TOSHIBA Common Modules Setup
Not an ACPI machine. Cannot install TOSHIBA ACPI Logical Device.
    OK
I have tried the xp 32-bit package called 'pwrsav'; it installs a bad help link to my start menu, and adds a couple of exes, tpsmain and tpsoddctl, to my auto-runs. These 32-bit executables quit immediately after execution.
I would have tried to install Toshiba's Vista 64-bit packages for hotkeys / common modules / power management, but the only one of the three I can find via toshiba.co.uk are common modules, and unfortunately that zip file only contains .inf, .cat and .sys files, no installer.
    Motivation:
I'm using a fresh install both because the default Vista install is unusable (900MB memory used on a fresh boot desktop, drive split into multiple partitions, trial, adware and broken software installed left and right)
I'm using x64 because I'm a software engineer whose next product needs to work on x64, and this new laptop was a likely first candidate

You didn't link to the tool you found. If you meant this tool then, you should be aware it doesn't work on x64 on R500:
    Display Tuner
    Cannot detect monitor!
Your monitor does not support DDC control or your videocard is not supported by Display Tuner.
You cannot use Display Tuner in this configuration.
    OK
It would be unlikely to work in any case, as display driver brightness isn't normally the same as the screen's brightness (hence power usage).
Maybe it's a communication issue, but I *have* found +original+ drivers for all essential components, just not for things like screen brightness - something that, to be honest, I more expect to be handled in firmware / bios, as that's been my experience on previous laptops, and is more reliable in any case, considering I could be running an oddball Linux or a completely different OS, or a CPU-intensive high-priority task.
The R500 series seem to be scrimping on the firmware and expecting OS utilities and dedicate yet another system tray icon to take over that job.
It does look like x64 is a no-go for mobile use on this machine, due to lack of firmware power management, which is a great pity as the point of such a light machine is mobility. I'll wipe it and install XP 32-bit and see how that goes.

  • X64 Drivers for 1820m

Installed the 1820m last night and upon reboot XP x64 recognized the card and automatically installed drivers for it. This surprized me! But no ASIO drivers were installed.
Tried running the latest downloaded drivers but they wouldn't install because it said my drivers were newer. So I uninstalled the drivers and rebooted. Cancelled the automatic installation of the existing drivers and ran the downloaded drivers. Was stupid enough to allow the install to overwrite one of the drivers.
After checking the dates it does appear that x64 had newer WDM drivers. x64's driver was dated 12/8/2005 with a version of 5.12.8.1164 and the downloaded drivers are 10/22/2005 version 5.12.5.1104 for the E-Mu E-DSP.
Haven't had time to get much more than system sounds and sound\video apps setup to use the basic card.
So the question is am I possibly going to run into problems with these drivers. I can't seem to get x64 to find the initial drivers it installed on reboot. Where can I get the 12/8/2005 drivers? As the Emu website seems to only have the 10/22 drivers for XP x64.
    Thanks!

    Hey mscheidell,
Ideally you should install the card with the drivers supplied or the ones downloaded from www.emu.com as they tend to be the most up-to-date drivers.
I can't envisage you experiencing any problems with the built in drivers as they would have been submitted to MS from E-MU in the first place.
What is the entry in Device Manager for the 1820M?
Have you installed the supplied software in order to check if there is an ASIO driver available?

  • Anybody found Vista x64 drivers for nVidia GeForce 8600M GT (Macbook Pro)?

These guys at Apple are launching 64-bit Leopard and I still cannot find 64-bit graphics drivers for my laptop under Vista. It makes me sick. Their Boot Camp 1.4 vesion contains only 32-bit drivers.
It's the laptop manufacturer (Apple company) who are responsible for providing me with drivers, not the graphics card manufacturer (nVidia).
I have been waiting for 5 months already and will wait for another 1-2 months and if the drivers don't appear I'm going to sell the laptop because I simply cannot watch DVDs, I cannot play games without properly installed grahics card.
If you have the drivers, please let me know.
    Best regards.

first of all, I think apple will never really "support" windows 64bit...
    anyway
    try -> http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
my vista 32bit works with the drivers from this page.
but u need to read the "Quickstart Guide" before you try installing the drivers

We will release Vista drivers for the products we stated we are releasing Vista drivers for on the Vista driver chart. To my knowledge we are currently meeting all legal obligations pertaining to Vista driver support. If this is not satisfactory to you you can feel free to contact Customer Support with your suggestion to release drivers for older products. However, this thread is not appropriate for this forum and is now locked.

  • MSI XP Pro x64 / Vista x64 drivers

I was looking at upgrading from Windows XP Pro to Windows XP Pro x64 or Windows Vista Home Premium x64.  I was wondering if there is x64 drivers for for either of these two operating systems.  I have a RX2600XT Diamond 512DDR4 video card and a K9A2 Platinum Motherboard is on the way.  I looked at the hardware driver download pages and I saw a few for the motherboard but video card only has XP/Vista listed.  Does that include x64 versions or not?
Do both of these products support XP Pro x64 and/or Vista x64?

    Yes.

  • N95 bluetooth drivers for Windows 7

I've got Windows 7 Beta Build 7000 installed and working quite happily.
The latest PC Suite is also installed and working and has installed all the USB drivers and devices for my N95.
Over bluetooth, however, the netbook recognises that the N95 can support the following services:-
    DUN
    Imaging Responder
    Nokia OBEX PC Suite Services
    Nokia SyncML Server
    Remote Control
    SyncML DM Client
    SyncMLClient
The only one I can get working is DUN, and that's using the generic "Standard modem over bluetooth" microsoft driver.
I tried to install the N95 nokia bluetooth modem driver, but it says "device cannot start", so I'm back with the generic driver.
Any ideas how I can get the rest working, or if there are proper drivers anywhere?
    Thanks!

I am having the same problem but with a Nokia 5800, having the following show up as not installed correctly
    Imaging Responder
    Nokia OBEX PC Suite Services
    Nokia SyncML Server
    Remote Control
    SyncML DM Client
    SyncMLClient
I have managed to manually install
    Imaging Responder
    Remote Control
But the rest are impossible to install without the correct drivers, I have a Toshiba Bluetooth adapter and have installed the software and still no luck,. I have ended up going into Devices and Printers, right click on the phone and select properties then services and untick
    Nokia OBEX PC Suite Services
    Nokia SyncML Server
    SyncML DM Client
    SyncMLClient
I guess the bluetooth dongle does not support these services? Does anyone have special Windows 7 x64 drivers for the above services to become active? or shed some more light on this issue?
    Cheers

  • Satellite T210 - Windows 8 x64 drivers and BIOS update

Can anyone from Toshiba Support tell me if and when we can expect Windows 8 x64 drivers for Toshiba T210? The equipment is pretty classic. I am sure this is very easy to compile available drivers into the official release
I also wanted to know as when Toshiba T210 finally gets BIOS update. Its current BIOS version is 1.60 while many other similar and earlier models jumped to 2.2 BIOS version and above
    Regards,

This is user to user forum so you will not get answer from Toshiba support directly.
What I can say is follow:
All about Win8 on Toshiba notebooks you can read on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/windows8-message/
Under Toshiba Compatibility Matrix you can check if your notebook model is supported for Win8 or not.
What to say about BIOS. Toshiba doesnt offer BIOS update if there is no some critical problem or some reason for that. If your piece of hardware works well and stabile there is no reason for BIOS update. What do you expect should happen with newer BIOS version?
