X64 not printing snip correctly

I snipped (using Windows snipping tool) an item and pasted it in a Word document.  When I view the document in print preview the document is correct.  When it prints the HP 8610 printed changes size of the snipped item.  I tried printing the document using my old HP Pro 8000 and it prints the size of the snipped item correctly.  However my old Pro 8000 does not print in color so I can not use it for this document.  This is not the first time the 8610 has changed the size of a snipped item.  How can I solve the problem?

Hi , Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! I see that you're having issues printing a snipped image correctly to your HP Officejet Pro 8616 e-All-in-One Printer. I would be happy to assist you with this. In order for me to assist you better, I may require more information. What format are you saving the image as?Which program are you printing from?  I recommend these steps:  Start by snipping the image you wish to print, select Save Snip or click File -> Save As -> select JPEG file -> Save.  Now, locate the image you saved and double click on it to open it up. It should have opened up in Windows Photo Viewer.  Choose Print -> Print -> Choose your printer -> Choose the correct Paper Size -> Select Fit picture to frame.   See how that turns out. If you're still experience problems, there might be an issue with the print driver. The Print and Scan Doctor will help determine if the printer is using the correct driver. Please download and run the Print and Scan Doctor, it will likely diagnose and resolve the issue you are experiencing. What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages) Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you. Good Luck!

HP Officejet 6000 Wireless - Does not print black correctly.
Previously the printer was printing fine.
This evening I printed a diagram I made in MS PowerPoint. The diagram contained black and red text along with black, red, and blue lines. When I took the printed page from the printer, all the black items looked faded. Instead of black, they printed as a light, faded gray. The red and blue printed correctly.
Another user of the printer printed some documents around the same time. These documents had nothing but black text. Every page this user printed showed up completely blank. The black was not even faded. There were no signs of anything being printed on the pages at all.
It seemed strange that one print job would print faded black and the other printed nothing. Considering the possibility that the ink was low, a new black cartridge was placed into the printer. The exact same results occured. My diagram printed correctly except for the fact that the things that were supposed to be black were coming up as light gray. Once again, the documents printed by the other user came up completely blank.
I ran a print test on the printer. It printed a Windows logo with the word "Windows" below. The logo printed correctly. The text showed up as a light, faded gray.
A third user printed an Excel spreadsheet. The cell borders were printed as a light gray. Nothing else printed. Everything in the spreadsheet was supposed to be black.
The third user also printed a recipe from MS Word. Most of the text showed up as a light, faded gray. Some text did not show up at all. I could not see any correlation between what showed up in faded gray and what did not show up.
It seems to me that if something was wrong with the cartridges, it would either always be faded or not print at all. I can consistently get some things to print faded and other things to not print at all. Color always prints correctly.
The print jobs were sent to the printer wirelessly from three different computers. Two computers run Windows 7 (x64). The third computer runs Windows XP SP2.
As far as I can tell, nothing was changed or done differently between now and the last time something printed correctly.
Might this be a driver issue? Since the printing consistently prints one way for certain files and another way for other files, I don't see it as being caused by hardware. If it's not a software issue, what could possibly cause the effects I described above?

  • Scanned documents do not print out correctly on forms.

I scanned a pdf file to my computer.  I opened the pdf file on my computer using Adobe Reader.  I printed the file using my printer.  The pdf file did not print out correctly.  The printed text was out of alignment with the form I was printing on.  The printer/scanner manufacturer troubleshot the problem and determined it is not a hardware issue, but an Adobe Reader software issue.  Please help.  Thank you.

Yes, the scanned PDF size is the same as the paper size in my printer.  Everything worked fine for the past year.  The only thing I had changed was I purchased a new wireless HP printer/scanner.  Before, I was using an USB cable.  While troubleshooting my issues, I have somehow caused Adobe Reader X to quit working.  I cannot open any PDF files.  I get a message about system configuration is not compatiable.

  • HP Photosmart 7525 not printing color correctly

HP Photosmart 7525 will not print color from any application.
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium.
    Grayscale is not on.
Tried printing with discolored background correction
Tried each of the color management options separately from discolored background correction and combined with it.
Replaced the ink, and the result was worse!
The quality report shows no color ink whatsoever, and from the display, it looks like the printer believes it has no color ink left.

Attempted to clean cartridges and align the printer through the display pad: no luck.

  • Reader Plug-in not printing PDFs correctly after InDesign Install on Mac OS 10.9.5

Installed InDesign trial yesterday. Ever since, no matter what browser I use, if I try to print PDFs from a browser, if the pages are in portrait mode, it will display them in portrait mode within the browser, but when I go to print them, the page appears in landscape and the bottom of each page does not print. It doesn't matter whether I select portrait or landscape mode. The page in the preview does not rotate. Some of the websites I use do not allow saving of a PDF, only viewing it in my browser window, so I can't save and use Preview to try to print it.
    HELP!
    SpikeDDS

Are you using Adobe Reader or Apple Preview to print PDFs?
You should not use Apple Preview to do anything with PDFs as it is not a reliable PDF viewer. Use Adobe Acrobat or Reader for PDFs only.
Do you have installed any PDF plugins? On the Apple PDFs are shown without any plugins because their graphic engine Quartz is based on PDF, but it does not support completely every PDF standard, so it is better to use Adobe Acrobat or Reader. (But Apple Preview has been improved in the newest upgrades from Apples OS, so it is much better than before.)

  • Pages are not printing out correctly. I have tried to fix in the options, with no luck. It prints out with spaces in between the letters.

When I go to print any page from an email, webpage, pdf file..the pages print out very wide fonts to the point where it is unreadable. I have tried to fix in the options with no luck. I can provide you with visuals if you need me to.

Thanks very much! It works! The print / review print - print works like it is supposed to. The print is corrected and works great. Thanks again.

  • Preview application does not print images correctly sized

The Preview application does not show me what size the image will print out.
It defaults to Scale to Fit: Print entire image.
The % in the Scale: window seems to be what the % turns out to be, depending on which Scale to Fit: is selected.
If I click into Scale:, and then change the %, when I hit Return, it prints immediately without allowing me to preview what size the change actually looks like.  Need to change that behavior!!!  Can't see how to do it.
Probably want the default setting to be Scale: 100% but can't figure out how to do that.
ALSO the Preferences / Images setting has two choices.
But playing with the Define 100% scale as just changes the size of the image in the Preview viewing window.  The PRINT menu still has the same default and the same Scale: % size.  No matter which I select, the PRINT default is still the same %.

Preview.app in Snow Leopard has removed the option to print without scaling, and recreating this behaviour with the remaining options is quite complex and requires 4 extra steps. Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Open a document in Preview.app, such as a PDF, of a known paper size.
    2. Select 'File' > 'Print…'
    3. Change the paper size to one where the default scale value with the default 'Scale to Fit:' 'Print Entire Image' is not 100%. This step is often unnecessary, as many documents will require reduction to include margins, even if the paper sizes match.
    4. Select 'Scale:'
    5. Select the scale % value.
    6. Delete the scale value.
    7. Input '100' in the scale value box using the keyboard.
    8. Press tab to avoid radar #7256827.
    9. Click 'Print' Expected Results:
Click on a single option to print at 100%, if by chance that wasn't the default option. This would have been one step. Actual Results:
Does what it says. Steps 4 through 8 are necessary to print at 100% in most cases. Regression:
This behaviour was as expected in OS X 10.5.x and previous versions, or we wouldn't be having this discussion. Notes:
Printing at 100% is the only scaling that is common enough to warrant a button to make it an easy one to get to. Preview.app itself even has an 'Actual Size' toolbar button, but has removed this function for printing.
Graphic designers (and other professionals) or specific applications (such as printing on pre-cut or pre-printed paper, labels, or DVDs) can commonly require printing at 100%, and using PDF to distribute documents makes Preview.app the most logical choice for many printing jobs.
Having something other than 100% as a default can cause expensive media to be ruined by a mis-scaled printout, unless these 4 (+1) steps are followed every time.
Most other apps, including Safari, Mail.app and TextEdit default to no scaling, making Preview.app an exception. I am an architect and this is really annoying!
    Does anyone know a workaround?

  • Black ink not printing - printhead correctly prints in another printer

Black not printing. (All HP inks) Replaced head - black still not printing.  Tested head in another HPprinter - works fine. Please answer -  Is there software, wiring, physical issue with the black only?  (Tried rebooting printer and cleaning already)

Hi , I understand that you are having issues with the black not printing, you have replaced the printhead in another printer and it prints fine. I would like to help you.
I am assuming that you used the same cartridges in the printhead when trying them in another printer, let me know if you didn't please. Since the new printhead works in another unit, it looks like it would be a hardware issue with the printer and it would need to be serviced. I have provided all the documentation for resolving this issue, most likely all the steps were done previously. Documentation for resolving the black not printing: Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink for the HP Photosmart Premium C309a... This document provides instructions for manually cleaning the cartridge contacts.'Ink Cartridge Problem - The Following Ink Cartridge(s) Appear to Be Missing or Damaged' Message Dis... Here is a document for manually cleaning the printhead.'Printhead Problem' or 'Printhead Appears to be Missing or Damaged' Message Displays on the Computer... Please Contact HP Support for further assistance. • XP/Vista x64 not printing correctly

    Hi,
I've got a very bizarre issue at the moment with x64 versions of the os. Opening PDF's in the design office on 32-bit machines, and they print perfectly. These are AutoCAD and Solidworks generated documents.
If we print them via x64 to a deskjet, designjet (plotter) or laser (all HP devices) we get the same issue... Not all of the lines are printed from the document. For example, if we have a section (2 vertical lines with hatching in the middle) it may print the hatching, but not the vertical lines!
I've tried upgrading the Adobe Reader (now 9) and Printer drivers, but still have the issue. All of the PC's have now been upgraded to 64-bit (due to the level of Solidworks being delivered), and the engineers are a bit upset about having to reboot into 32-bit just to print a clients drawing...
Anyone else met this issue, or got a fix? I've spent a good few days googling, and cannot find an answer...
    Thanks,

XP 64 is not supported because of many issues including drivers. Vista
64 is supported and is reported to be fast as greased lightning.
HOWEVER, you still need good drivers. How many problems are you having
with Vista 64 machines? Do these have updated 64-bit drivers for their
    printers?
    Mike

Same problem here, unfortunately no solution. I only found one other reference to this problem elsewhere, and apparently there was a solution posted, but the moderators deleted it because it wasn't polite enough.

  • 4050dn Not Printing PDFs Correctly

I have a teacher who a has a Windows XP SP3 PC with Adobe Reader 10 installed that regularly prints PDF documents to an HP LaserJet 4050dn that is connected directly to the PC. The printer currently uses the PCL6 driver. Every so often when she tries to print a PDF, the words on the document become garbled as if the printer is having a hard time translating the document. This doesn't happen all the time nor does it happen to the entire document. The PDF that I tried to print was 36 pages long and only the last 4 printed with the garbled lettering. The document, when printed to one of our large copy machines, printed entirely normal. Any help that can be provided is greatly appreciated. I've added a copy below of how a page from the printer is showing up as.

I have the same problem with an officejet 6310. Any solutions?

  • Fonts are not printing correctly

We use Jetforms 5.3.1.0.143 with QuadraMed's AFfinity product. A query is written in Affinity and used to produce a Jetform. We run the query and send to a printer. The information in the data fields prints the correct font and spacing. The text on the Jetform itself does not print out correctly. For example, we use Arial font for both the fields and the text. The font/spacing for the text changes. It does not print in Arial and the letters are extremely close together. Any ideas? Thank you.

Hi Bonnie, sounds like the font may not be available in the printer and it is substuting as best it can. My recollection of Affinity is that it runs on an HPUX system so you would need to include the fonts when you compile the form. If these suggestions don't help, feel free to send me the ifd so I can have a look.

  • Printer not printing correct sizes of photos

Canon Pro9000 for some reason does not print photos correctly. I have made all the correct changes on the page setup and no matter what size I choose it prints only a small size photo. If I choose 11 X 14 it prints a photo 7 1/2 X 6. No matter what size paper I choose. It prints well in Easy-PhotoPrint but not in Lightroom 1.4.1 It worked fine before the driver update for Canon Pro9000
    System I'm using is:
    iMac 24"
2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
    Printer Canon Pro9000
    Adobe Lightroom 1.4.1
    Thank You,
    Mike M.

Had the same problem with Lr 3 and Canon Pro9000.
Flicked the stroke on and off again - for no reason except someone said that worked. Then I used zoom to fit and it worked.
Which is stupid. I am so sick of having to be in problem solving mode all the d**m time.
Next I'll work on the Wacom driver which freezes in Lr3 from time to time - with a complete lack of consistency.
I wonder why software works so badly these days. Shareholders don't care?

  • Texts with correct font are not printed

    Hi All,
I am printing the Adobe form with some header and item texts.
I have created a style in smartforms so that the texts in the layout would be printed accordingly.
In the context part, I have created the text and assigned the text module. I have also given the style name at the time of creation, checked 'Copy style from text module' also. But still in the layout the texts are not printing with correct font.
Currently the texts are prining with default font which i have declared in style.
Do we need to give the paragraph format or style name anywhere?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Karthik Ganti.

    Hello Karthik,
If font is uniform throughout the text, then no need to create the Smartstyle. You can do this with JavaScript.
    1. Click on the text field.
    2. Write the below JavaScript in the Initialize event.
    this.font.typeface = "Arial";
This will override the default font which you had selected at the design time.
If you want to change the weight, you can also do that as shown below.
    this.font.weight = "bold";
Here I have hard coded the font name and weight. If you want to do this dynamically, you can store the font name in a custom table and then assign it in the layout.
