X99S gaming 9 AC no capture card detected on xsplit gamecaster

I noticed that xsplit doesn't detect the on-board capture card. I checked the support site and got the drivers for it. I installed everything but still, xsplit can't detect it.
Am I missing something?

Yeah, I went xsplit settings and found the avermedia codec under stream settings and record settings. Is that all I need to set? I always thought it was an actual on-board capture card

I concur with all of badboy2k's thoughts. He puts forth a very good explanation, and it makes sense.
I'd get the power supply out and get a good branded power supply (Seasonic is my preference at this time)....

Urgent: Unable to capture from TV Capture Card

Hello,
I'm Ashish Shukla. I'm writing an application in JMF 2.1.1b using J2SE 1.4.0 on Win32 platform on Intel Celeron 1 GHz processor which captures from the capture device. It works fine on Intel Create & Share CS110 Web Camera. But now, I'm try to capture from the TV Capture Card Pinnacle Studio PCTV TV Capture Card (Composite Video).
But JMF Registry is not able to detect the TV Capture Card (connected alone) & my PC hangs. But, when WebCamera is plugged in, JMF Registry detects it.
When Both WebCamera (USB port) & TV Capture Card are plugged in, then JMF Registry detects only Web Camera.
If anyone can help me resolve the problem. I'm very thankful.

Problem with JPWR2 on a X99S GAMING 7

Hi,
Currently I have a problem with JPWR2 on a X99S GAMING 7 Motherboard. When I plug a 6 pin or a 8 pin on the JWPR2 the motherboard crash and the cable overheat or short-circuit. My power supply is a 1000W SIlent pro bronze. I tested with a new cable on another port on the power supply but it doesn’t work. I tested with without CPU too but still the same problem.
Can someone help me ?

you are using the Cooler master 1000W silent pro bronze right?
Normally the power supply should have 4 pin or 8 pin, the 6pin/8pin is normally for the VGA card and not for the Motherboard.
Please double check again and use the 4 pin or 8 pin for the MB.

X99S GAMING 9 AC Not booting - Debug 94 code - Issue with GTX 980 SLI in WoW

Hello, I bought the X99S GAMING 9 AC motherboard but have ran into some issues.
The computer won't boot when I put my second MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4 GB card in the last PCEI 3.0 port (PCIE port 5) and I get the debug LED message 94 on the motherboard. I have a SLI setup.
The first card I have in the second PCIE 3.0 port due to the Noctua U14S CPU fan takes up space for the first slot. So I have been running my grafic cards in PCIE slot 2 and 4 with some issues.
First the card in slot 2 gets really warm over 86 celsius. And second: SLI runs really poorly in World of Warcraft. I get a lot higher performance with just one card activated. I am not sure if it's cause I am not running my cards in the recommended PCIE 3.0 ports or because WoW has some issues with SLI, but I heard other people have no issues at all with WoW in SLI.
I got the same issue with 3Dmark firestrike, the cards perform really poor in SLI. I get higher score with SLI turned off..
Though SLI seems to run pretty well in 3dmark 11 and Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls.
But the main issue right now, is that the computer won't boot with the grafic cards in PCIE port 2 and 5. The solution to run them next to each other is not good, cause it gets really hot and I get bad performance in WoW and Firestrike.

Any upcoming bios updates (got v1.3) that will solve this issue on the horization? Hopefully this get sorted out really soon..

You must use the recommended PCIE slots as the manual says for your CPU type, PCIE #1 and PCIE #4 if I remember, just open the manual :P for optimal 2Way SLI, also your 5820k will limit to 28 pcie lanes only if you plan to add more vgas...the other problem is your giant CPU air cooler blocking PCIE#1, do a favor to yourself, buy a watercooler for your 5820k and your problems are gone, add some overclock in your system, low noise and better temps.
Here I use 3x980 in SLI with X99S Gaming 9 AC, going soon to WC the VGAs with EK blocks.....3way is far more temperature critical than 2way spaced one.

Video capture card to use with WebEx

Hi all,
could someone share a list of compatible video capture cards to use in a PC in a WebEx session?
The ideia is to use an external camera (instead of a web cam) to capture the video and I would like to know if this input will be sent as video (if WebEx will recognize the capture card as an input).

thanks for the advice and links... I was having trouble making sense of barefoot.
I have heard that a card that works well for gaming will not necessarily work well for CAD based programs like Maya. can any one confirm or deny this? I can use the software for things like this but I am pretty low on the food chain when it comes to hardware issues.
It is possible I being too picky wanting an affordable card that:
a.) Has been tested successfully by Autodesk with Maya
and
b.)is available to be installed in a Mac Pro
....comments?

Connecting to a VCE-PRO PCMCIA capture card

I am new to JMF, having just got a module working to access and play the feed from a webcam. Now I am trying to start getting into some more serious programming that will imbed video display into an application used in law enforcement. I am trying to figure out how to access the output from a Imperx VCE-PRO capture card.
The vendor has a JDK that is limited to C and VB so I am trying to figure out if it is possible to patch something together that will allow this to work. As best I can tell this product is not friendly with VFW or WDM but I don't know for sure other than nothing in the vendor documentation says it is. When I call the vendor it can take days for them to return my call.
What is a good reference guide to obtain that might help with this process? Has anyone utilized JMF to access this particular product? Is it possible to take a product such as this and interface to the drivers from JMF?
I have Googled this to death and so far haven't come accross anything useful.

Accessing a USB capture card

Hello,
I am trying to access a USB capture card with labview so that I can watch the video on my computer screen. Eventually I would like to be able to record the video. The idea is to build a digital video recorded that detects motion and then records the video of that motion. I.E. a motion sensitive security camera. For simplicity I want the camera to be controlled by X10 stuff, so it only comes on when it sees motion… then the video gets piped into labview and is only recorded when the image shifts from static to an actual picture. The system works with the exception of the labview stuff. Unfortunately I'm still new to labview and I am not sure where to start. But as this is a student copy given to our class, I can not afford to buy cards or more software… so I have to find a work around for that…. Thanks for the help.

I'd love to help you find a resolution to your problems, but I need more info about the specifics of your problem. What part of LabVIEW is not working correctly? How are you calling the driver for the USB capture card? Could you possibly post snippets of your code, or tell us what you have tried that has worked?

No audio capture device detected Osprey 240e

I have recently installed Adobe Flash Media Encoder (AFME). I have installed the Osprey 240e video/audio capture card. At first, the Osprey 240e was detected by the AFME. Now AFME is telling me there is no audio device detected. The video part seems to be fine.
I have:
1. Rebooted the computer AFME is installed on
2. Reinstalled AFME
3. Reinstalled the Osprey 240e drivers (reboot computer again).
When I start the AFME program, it still indicates not audio capture device detected. Any ideas on how to resover the issue.

You may need to open a support case with Viewcast. They have always been very responsive when I have had problems/questions.

Problem with X99S GAMING 9 AC - PCIE-PORT reporting V1.1 same with SLI

Yeah as the topic is saying, I got issue with my PCIE 3.0 ports, they are saying my grafic cards are running at x8 1.1
I should first mention that I had these issues for a while, and I also updated all drivers to the latest versions, but still same issues. I got the 1,4 bios version for the motherboard and the nvidia V344.65 that was released today.
I tried to change it in bios from auto to gen 3 on the PCIE-ports, but still same results.
I made a post earlier about that SLI running slow in WoW and 3Dmark Firestrike. Maybe this is the source to the issue due to the ports running at 1.1 and not 3.0?
Also, in both WoW and 3Dmark Firestrike, I get much higher FPS and results with just one grafic card activated, when I go into SLI the results drop like a rock..
The weird thing about SLI though, that it seems to work okay in games like Diablo 3 ROS and 3Dmark11.
I have my grafic cards in the recommended PCIE-ports, 1 and 4.

Is this a known issue and is there any upcoming fix to this? Feels really bad I can't use my grafic cards to their fullest potential..

i use a tv-card with my camera through linking them with a composite cable. Also, my tv card has capturing capability and i use JMF to do a capture program with these tools and the result is good for me. The monitor.zip file wihich contains a sample of capturing and monitoring simultaneously exists on sun.com. I use it and it was very helpfull for me.
JMF detects cards through its 'CaptureDeviceManager' which is a controller type object. If you specify like Vector devices = CaptureDeviceManager.getDeviceList(null) -> You will be get the list of appropriate devices on your pc.

Image capture cannot detect Epson 10000XL over network.

I have an Epson Expression 10000XL scanner with an ethernet card, connected to an Airport Express, and then wirelessly to my iMac. The Epson Scan application detects the scanner and allows scanning to take place, but Image Capture does not detect the scanner. How do I also get Image Capture to detect my scanner wirelessly? Thank you.

As promised, I called Apple this morning, and they said that Epson (not Apple) was responsible for providing the drivers for their scanners. Since I can connect my iMac and Epson scanner to all of my scanning applications through a USB connection, and can only connect wirelessly to Epson Scan, it follows that Epson provides only a driver to connect with their proprietary Epson Scan and no drivers for connecting to other scanning software, including Image Capture.
This looks like the end of my efforts to connect wirelessly to Image Capture. Thanks for your help, PAHU.

My acer aspire x1935 does not recognize my pcie express hdmi capture card

my acer aspire x1935 dose not recognize my pci express hdmi hd capture card. it works fine on a win XP sp3 machinewith a gigabite motherboard and a amd processor. I updated the bios and it still dosent recognize it as a multimedia card in the device driver. I have Windows 7 homeedition 64 bit with a intell I3 processor.

Regarding my x1935, I have tried a safe mode boot, I also tried reinstalling acers window 7 backup downloaded and reinstalled acers motherboard drivers and flashed the bios to the latest version and still the HDMI hd dvr capture card is not detected by windowws 7. Can some one help...
I have been working on this problem for the last two weeks and its very frustrating.
