Hi,
Net Express 5.1 is compatible with Windows 7. You need a recent cut of the base product (we had to update the installer to recognize Win7) and WebSync 4 which addresses a number of Win7 compatibility issues.
You should be able to get these from Micro Focus SupportLine.
Hope this helps.

The future of Novell (Micro Focus Question/Concern)
I've been a loyal and happy Novell engineer for many many years (like most here I'd imagine).
While there has been many changes and retreats the last several years, at least we always had the core to fall back on.
My concern is that with the latest press release from Micro Focus: Novell (as a brand) is going away.
Is it just me or does the latest press release seem to say everything is going to be re branded as Micro Focus?
"The product portfolios of Micro Focus, Borland, NetIQ, Attachmate and Novell will be brought together under the one portfolio of Micro Focus. Each product will have a defined strategy created and managed by a global product group."
So that means the Novell brand is going away?
On one hand, they bought it = they can do anything they want. For the price I'm sure they want to build their own brand.
On the other hand, I've been a loyal Novell engineer for decades..... I have no interest in being a Micro Focus engineer. I don't know who they are, I don't know what they're about, I don't know how steadfast they are with the product, if they will increase engineering or decrease it. I don't know if they will milk what's left of Novell products until they cease to exist.
The Attachmate ownership was a disaster (IMO), the only thing that saved Novell was the outstanding Dev teams that really put a lot of work (and heart) into OES and GW.
I have just started a new software development business and was happily looking forward to making it a proper Novell shop. Now I have to hesitate, because if the "Big Red N" is going away....... I'll slip away with it and have to make the nasty choice of being a Red Hat shop (which I have avoided up until now).On Tue, 28 Apr 2015 18:46:01 GMT, mathew35

It sounds to me like things are going to be rebranded. Whether that
is a good thing or not, only time can tell. While I like the Novell
brand, some people don't, so maybe a branding change will breathe some
new life into marketing. But at this point, I'm not concerned because
the people I deal with at Novell are still there and taking care of me
and the roadmaps look good. I'm going to keep plugging away and see
how it all pans out.

Resources view: how not to show resource from under Org Units
Hello experts!
In cProjects/xRPM 4.5, when we assign a user as Staffing Manager of an Organizational Unit, not only the resources from this Org Unit appear in his resources view, but also the ones from sub Org Units.
We would like to prevent this, and display ONLY the resources at the same level.
Is there a way to achieve this: BADI, authorizations?
Thanks a lot!

After upgrading to 6.1.3 yesterday photocamera from iphone 4 not focus.Whi ? please fix the bug !! and the battery is draining faster !!!
This is almost embarassing. For some totally unexplainable reason all the songs in iTunes were unchecked. I was considering syncing the whole iTunes library to my iPnone, tut even with the 32 Gb version it would not hold it all. I restarted my MBP, and the message about the unchecked songs came up. It obviously is not enough to have songs checked for the iPhone. Thanks anyway.

thanks for your contribution. But how I already said we have seen that the first error message:
The error is: javax.servlet.UnavailableException: Cannot load a validator resource from '/WEB-INF/validator-rules.xml,/WEB-INF/validation.xml'
But behind that message is an additional message that describes the real root cause of the problem:
SEVERE: Cannot find resource "org/apache/commons/digester/xmlrules/digester-rules.dtd"
org.apache.commons.digester.xmlrules.XmlLoadException: Cannot find resource
"org/apache/commons/digester/xmlrules/digester-rules.dtd"
Unfortunately we have no idea why the dtd file can not be loaded. The appropriate line of code is:
getClass().getResourceAsStream("<link_to_resource")
And this returns a NULL object. The NULL object causes the general exception and finishes the instantiation of Struts.
Any additonal hints?
Regards, Maik -
I originally posted this question to the community section and was advised to post it here. Please bear with me as this will be a long post. I'm including the scenarios involving this reoccurring issue, the trouble shooting steps I've already
taken and the results of several diagnostic tools and logs.
I have a Sony VAIOS VPCEBB33FM lap top since 2011. I have had this issue on an off for a long time. I'm at my wit's end. Any new insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Scenario Details
1) Some times it's on and off through out the day, sometimes it won't work all day, and once in a while it will work fine for the entire day.
2) I've had this issue across several wireless services, Clear Network accessed with WiMax, Library Wi-fi, Comcast cable internet using wireless router and Wi-fi, and Comcast Xfinity Wi-Fi, to name a few examples.
3) Other devices in the household or library will work with no problems such as my smart phone or my roommates' laptops or desktop computers.
4) Once in a while, the built-in wireless adapter is not found and I have to reinstall the driver. Also the diagnostic tool has had to reset my adapter on an increasing basis.
5) I had my hard drive replaced in December 2014 and my system restored from the System Restore disks that came with it when I bought the laptop. Even though I've been online on an infrequent basis it worked just fine for a while. Now that
I've been online a bit more I'm having the same issues again.
Below are my attempts at trouble shooting so far but I still have not been able to consistently resolve my DNS issues
1) Restarting my adapter
2) Turning off my laptop and removing the power supply for 5-10 minutes before turning it back on.
3) Using the IP Config in Command Prompt
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
4) Using the NetSh reset in Command Prompt and restarting my laptop
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
netsh winsock reset
ipconfig /flushdns
[restart laptop]
5) Configuring the TCP/IP in several settings
Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties.
I have used the following settings:
a) Obtain an DNS server address automatically
b) OpenDNS
208 67 222 222
208 67 220 220
c) Google DNS
8 8 8 8
8 8 4 4
6) Updating the driver for my Intel Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6250 AGN and Intel Centrino(R) WIMAX 6250 from the Intel website previous having my laptop wiped clean in 2014. It still did not resolve the issue. My laptop
manufacturer as not come up with an driver update for my adapter since 2010. I haven't tried to update the adapter driver from Intel's website since having my laptop repaired due to the fact that Intel strongly recommending using the manufacturer's updates
instead and frankly it didn't make much of a difference when I did it the first time.
7) The last one I've tried as of today is going into Services and changing the start up type to automatic for the following:
Computer Browser [changed from manual to automatic]
DHCP Client [already set to automatic]
DNS Client [already set to automatic]
Network Connections [already set to automatic]
Network Location Awareness [changed from manual to automatic]
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) [already set to automatic]
Server [already set to automatic]
TCP/IP Netbios helper [already set to automatic]
Workstation [already set to automatic]
...and I'm still having DNS issues.
My only guessing are that my laptop came with a lemon adapter that needs to be replaced, some advanced setting(s) that I'm not aware off, or my firewall/anti-virus is interfering. I've used Symmantic Anti-virus and Firewall in the past and currently
Avast Anti-Virus with Microsoft Network Firewall. I've had DNS issues with both anti-virus/firewall set ups.
Below are the results from the diagnostics and tests that I've ran.

Get Images from jar. getResource() not working
I've read some of the posts in the forum and I've tried the solutions but still cant get the images in my program.
I'll write all the things I've tried (All of them works fine when I run them from bluej):
1- The code used in the jar files in demo folder of jdk:
/** Inside the main class: */
private static ResourceBundle resources;
static {
try {
resources = ResourceBundle.getBundle("resources.Recursos", Locale.getDefault());
} catch (MissingResourceException mre) {
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(new JFrame(), "ResourceBundle not found","Error",JOptionPane.ERROR_MESSAGE);
System.exit(1);
public String getResourceString(String nm)
String str;
try {
str = resources.getString(nm);
} catch (MissingResourceException mre) {
str = null;
return str;
public URL getResource(String key)
String name = getResourceString(key);
if (name != null)
URL url = getClass().getResource(name); // Here is the exception
return url;
return null;
public ImageIcon loadImage(String image_name)
URL image_url = null;
try
image_url = getResource(image_name);
if (image_url != null)
return new ImageIcon(image_url);
else
return null;
}catch(Exception e)
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(new JFrame(), e.getMessage() + "In load Image","Error",JOptionPane.ERROR_MESSAGE);
return null;
/** Inside the constructor */
abrirButton = new JButton(loadImage("open"));
}//End of the class}
The ResourceBundle is a file named: Recursos.properties and it's in a folder inside the folder of my *.class and *.java And have this information:
Title=Recursos
ElementTreeFrameTitle=Elements
ViewportBackingStore=false
open=resources/open24.gif
save=resources/saveAs24.gif
cut=resources/cut24.gif
copy=resources/copy24.gif
paste=resources/paste24.gif
analisis=resources/bean24.gif
This one, runs with the jar, but the images are not in the buttons and I get the Dialog message telling me that there was an error in loadImage. Check that method. I used this dialogs to track the error and the exception it's generated by:
URL url = getClass().getResource(name);
in public URL getResource(String key) method.
2- I also tried to follow the instructions of this article that describes how to get resources from jars:
http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-07-1998/jw-07-jar-p2.html
This is the first page of the article:
http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-07-1998/jw-07-jar.html
And I did something like this:
/** Inside constructor */
abrirButton = new JButton(new ImageIcon(getImageFromJAR("Imagenes/open24.gif")));
/** Inside of my main class */
public Image getImageFromJAR(String fileName)
try{
if( fileName == null ) return null;
Image image = null;
Toolkit toolkit = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit();
image = toolkit.getImage( getClass().getResource(fileName) );
return image;
}catch(Exception exc){
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(new JFrame(), "Exception loading the image","Error",JOptionPane.ERROR_MESSAGE);
return null;
...The images in this one are in the folder Imagenes inside the folder of my *.class and *.java
This one work fine in bluej too, but the jar... It doesn't even start.
3- And the last one.
abrirButton = new JButton(new ImageIcon(getClass().getResource("Imagenes/open24.gif"));Works fine in bluej, not running in jar.
Am I doing something wrong? Please somebody help me.
thanks in advanceAre you putting the image files inside the jar? If you are, then use "jar tf jarfile.jar" to display the contents of the jar and make sure the files are there and inside the right directory. If you are not, then you can not use getClass().getResource() from a jar file because it will look inside the jar file.
If you are getting an error message, please post it. -
How do I stop Ical from stealing focus?
Is anyone aware of a way to stop ical from stealing focus when events are created or modified? I do not want to lose the ability to fast switch to the app when it is in another space.
I have some individuals on my team at work who tend to edit multiple events on my calendar multiple times a day. It makes me nuts that when I am in the middle of some serious debugging or in a groove jamming out some decent code, I get stopped constantly by iCal.I had exactly the same problem. A quick google search presented this:
http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-20085680-263/keep-applications-from-stealin g-focus-when-opening-in-os-x/
I've tried it - editing the Info.plist - and it works a treat. Note - it appears you can no longer cmd-tab to the app once you make this change. But I can live with that
iCal developers - please, for the love of God and all things UX - please change this default behaviour. Or at least provide an option to make iCal less obnoxious. It was the focus stealing behaviour of Windows 95 that moved me away from Windows. -
Hi,
I noticed a strange focus traversal behavior of JTabbedPane.
During tab traversal (when the user's intention is just to switch between tabs), the focus is transferred to a component outside of the tabs (if there is a component after/below the JTabbedPane component), if using Java 6. For example, if using the SSCCE below...
import java.awt.BorderLayout;
import java.awt.event.FocusAdapter;
import java.awt.event.FocusEvent;
import java.awt.event.KeyEvent;
import javax.swing.Box;
import javax.swing.BoxLayout;
import javax.swing.JButton;
import javax.swing.JFrame;
import javax.swing.JPanel;
import javax.swing.JScrollPane;
import javax.swing.JTabbedPane;
import javax.swing.JTextField;
import javax.swing.SwingUtilities;
public class TabbedPaneTest extends JPanel {
public TabbedPaneTest() {
super(new BorderLayout());
JTabbedPane tabbedPane = new JTabbedPane();
tabbedPane.addTab("Tab 1", buildPanelWithChildComponents());
tabbedPane.setMnemonicAt(0, KeyEvent.VK_1);
tabbedPane.addTab("Tab 2", buildPanelWithChildComponents());
tabbedPane.setMnemonicAt(1, KeyEvent.VK_2);
tabbedPane.addTab("Tab 3", buildPanelWithChildComponents());
tabbedPane.setMnemonicAt(2, KeyEvent.VK_3);
tabbedPane.addTab("Tab 4", buildPanelWithChildComponents());
tabbedPane.setMnemonicAt(3, KeyEvent.VK_4);
JPanel panel = new JPanel(new BorderLayout());
panel.add(tabbedPane);
JButton button = new JButton("Dummy component that gains focus when switching tabs");
panel.add(button, BorderLayout.SOUTH);
* To replicate the focus traversal issue, please follow these steps -
* 1) Run this program in Java 6; and then
* 2) Click on a child component inside any tab; and then
* 3) Click on any other tab (or use the mnemonic keys ALT + 1 to ALT 4).
button.addFocusListener(new FocusAdapter() {
@Override
public void focusGained(FocusEvent e) {
System.err.println("Gained focus (not supposed to when just switching tabs).");
add(new JScrollPane(panel));
private JPanel buildPanelWithChildComponents() {
JPanel panel = new JPanel();
BoxLayout boxlayout = new BoxLayout(panel, BoxLayout.PAGE_AXIS);
panel.setLayout(boxlayout);
panel.add(Box.createVerticalStrut(3));
for (int i = 0; i < 4; i++) {
panel.add(new JTextField(10));
panel.add(Box.createVerticalStrut(3));
return panel;
public static void main(String[] args) {
SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
public void run() {
JFrame frame = new JFrame("Test for Java 6");
frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
frame.add(new TabbedPaneTest());
frame.pack();
frame.setVisible(true);
... Then we can replicate this behavior by following these steps:
1) Run the program in Java 6; and then
2) Click on a child component in any of the tabs; and then
3) Click on any other tab (or use the mnemonic keys 'ALT + 1' to 'ALT + 4').
At step 3 (upon selecting any other tab), the focus would go to the component below the JTabbedPane first (hence the printed message in the console), before actually going to the selected tab.
This does not occur in Java 7, so I'm assuming it is a bug that is fixed. And I know that Oracle suggests that we should use Java 7 nowadays.
The problem is: We need to stick to Java 6 for a certain application. So I'm looking for a way to fix this issue for all our JTabbedPane components while using Java 6.
So, is there a way to prevent JTabbedPanes from passing the focus to components outside of the tabs during tab traversal (e.g. when users are just switching between tabs), in Java 6?
Note: I've read the release notes between Java 6u45 to Java 7u15, but I was unable to find any changes related to the JTabbedPane component. So any pointers on this would be deeply appreciated.
Regards,
JamesHi Kleopatra,
Thanks for the reply.
Please allow me to clarify first: Actually the problem is not that the child components (inside tabs) get focused before the selected tab. The problem is: the component outside of the tabs gets focused before the selected tab. For example, the JButton in the SSCCE posted above gets focused when users switch between tabs, despite the fact that the JButton is not a child component of the JTabbedPane.
It is important for me to prevent this behavior because it causes a usability issue for forms with 'auto-scrolling' features.
What I mean by 'auto-scrolling' here is: a feature where the form automatically scrolls down to show the current focused component (if the component is not already visible). This is a usability improvement for long forms with scroll bars (which saves the users' effort of manually scrolling down just to see the focused component).
To see this feature in action, please run the SSCCE below, and keep pressing the 'Tab' key (the scroll pane will follow the focused component automatically):

tabbedPane.addTab("Tab 1", buildPanelWithChildComponents(20));

tabbedPane.addTab("Tab 2", buildPanelWithChildComponents(20));

panel.add(button, BorderLayout.SOUTH);
* To replicate the focus traversal issue, please follow these steps -
* 1) Run this program in Java 6; and then
* 2) Click on a child component inside any tab; and then
* 3) Click on any other tab (or use the mnemonic keys ALT + 1 to ALT 4).
button.addFocusListener(new FocusAdapter() {
@Override

gridBagConstraints.insets = labelInsets;
gridBagConstraints.gridx = 1;
gridBagConstraints.gridy = i;
panel.add(new JLabel(labelPrefix + (i + 1)), gridBagConstraints);
gridBagConstraints.insets = textFieldInsets;
gridBagConstraints.gridx = 2;
textField = new JTextField(22);
panel.add(textField, gridBagConstraints);
textField.addFocusListener(autoScrollFocusHandler);
return panel;
public static void main(String[] args) {
SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
public void run() {
JFrame frame = new JFrame("Test for Java 6 with auto-scrolling");
frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
frame.add(new TabbedPaneAutoScrollTest());
frame.setSize(400, 300);
frame.setVisible(true);
* Crude but simple example for auto-scrolling to focused components.
* Note: We don't actually use FocusListeners for this feature,
* but this is short enough to demonstrate how it behaves.
class AutoScrollFocusHandler extends FocusAdapter {
private JViewport viewport;
private JComponent view;
public void setScrollPane(JScrollPane scrollPane) {
viewport = scrollPane.getViewport();
view = (JComponent) viewport.getView();
@Override
public void focusGained(FocusEvent event) {
Component component = (Component) event.getSource();
view.scrollRectToVisible(SwingUtilities.convertRectangle(component.getParent(),
component.getBounds(), view));
Now, while the focus is still within the tab contents, try to switch to any other tab (e.g. by clicking on the tab headers, or by using the mnemonic keys 'ALT + 1' to 'ALT + 4')...
... then you'll notice the following usability issue:
1) JRE 1.6 causes the focus to transfer to the JButton (which is outside of the tabs entirely) first; then
2) In response to the JButton gaining focus, the 'auto-scrolling' feature scrolls down to the bottom of the form, to show the JButton. At this point, the tab headers are hidden from view since there are many child components; then
3) JRE 1.6 transfers the focus to the tab contents; then
4) The 'auto-scrolling' feature scrolls up to the selected tab's contents, but the tab header itself is still hidden from view (as a side effect of the behavior above); then
5) Users are forced to manually scroll up to see the tab headers whenever they are just switching between tabs.
In short, the tab headers will be hidden when users switch tabs, due to the Java 6 behavior posted above.
That is why it is important for me to prevent the behavior in my first post above (so that it won't cause usability issues when we apply the 'auto-scrolling' feature to our forms).

ORA-31000: Resource 'example_name.xsd' is not an XDB schema document
Morning,
I'm running 11gr2 on OEL 5. I recently joined a project where a lot of work has already been done by a previous dba and xmldb is fairly new to me. I'm trying to register a new xml schema but keep getting the above error. The error is referencing a resource that I'm not even declaring in my statement. See statement below.
BEGIN
DBMS_XMLSCHEMA.registerSchema(
SCHEMAURL => 'http://localhost/xsd/test/collection_test.xsd',
SCHEMADOC => bfilename('XSD_TEST','collection_test.xsd'),
CSID => nls_charset_id('AL32UTF8'));
END;
I've used the FORCE=True option which has worked but then the error shows up again when trying to create a table. I queried the schema url and found that nothing was mapped to it so I deleted it as so:
DBMS_XMLSCHEMA.DELETESCHEMA('http://localhost/xsd/test/collection_test.xsd', DBMS_XMLSCHEMA.DELETE_CASCADE_FORCE);
This worked just fine. Problem now is, I'm still getting the same error when registering schema or creating a table. I thought maybe I could purge t he schema from the database now but I can't query the schema ID to do so. I feel I am stuck now. I've tried to look up solutions online for a day now to no avail. All help is GREATLY appreciated (and rewarded). Thanks!!I don't expect to be able to give you the answer you seek, but I'll ask a couple of questions to help others along.
1) What is your error message? That is useful
2) What does collection_test.xsd look like? Can you post it (or a portion of it, including any includes/imports and all namespaces)?
Reproducible test cases are always nice as they show others what is going on and give a starting point for reproducing/fixing the error. -
While installing sql server 2012 with failover clustering I got the following error:
The cluster resource 'SQL Server' could not be brought online. Error: There was a failure to call cluster code from a provider. Exception message: Generic failure. Status code: 5942. Description: The resource failed to come online due to the failure of one
or more provider resources.
The two nodes of the sql server failover have been successfully prepared. The error came while running the advance cluster completion option.
In the clustered events in failover cluster manager the following message is displayed:
Cluster resource 'SQL Network Name (CPCTestSQLClus)' of type 'Network name' in clustered role 'SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER)' failed.
I have done various checking and the issue remained. I tried to start the sqlPlease find below part of the content of the cluster log. I hope this is helpful in resolving the issue:

PDF from HTMLLoader is Not Displaying in a Container
PDF from HTMLLoader is Not Displaying in a Container
Was there a new version of AIR released recently that breaks the display of a PDF through the HTMLLoader?
I've been experiencing problems displaying a PDF in a container lately.
AIR applications that worked a couple weeks ago, are not working now even though no changes have been made to the source.
To focus on the problem, I created an application that narrows my focus to the broken feature. It's sole purpose is to display a simple PDF through AIR.
The example can be found here.
http://www.appfoundation.com/blogs/giametta/2009/04/14/render-pdf-in-adobe-air-with-pdf-sc aling/
The code used is exactly the same as the one found in the above example, except I swapped the url of the PDF to the following.
http://www.sfbike.org/download/map.pdf
It's pretty straightforward.
But, when I compile and press the "do it" button, nothing displays in the VBOX.
Using an HTTP Sniffer the "GET" to my url seems to be working fine and, I get a "200 OK" return status, but nothing is displayed in the container.
Here is my configuration.
- Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit
- AIR 1.5
- Flex 3.0.2
- Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro
- Firefox 3.5.4
Attached is the source code mxml as a txt.Well, like I said, I don't either. Even when loading a very simple PDF, I just see this crash:
Process: adl [1003]
Path: /Users/base/c_languages/flashplayer/flex_sdk_4.0.0.10079/bin/adl
Identifier: adl
Version: ??? (???)
Code Type: X86 (Native)
Parent Process: FlashBuilder [217]
Date/Time: 2009-11-04 11:41:13.050 -0800

Maybe someone on the AIR team will have a more knowledgable response, it looks like a problem with how Webkit is loading up the PDF viewer perhaps. -
Pro COBOL / Precompile and run with Micro Focus Server Express in Unix AIX
I have Oracle 11g R2 DB and client installed in Unix AIX machine. I would like to make a simple test pgm to :
1. the precompile using procob on the sample program
2. compile it through Micro Focus Server Express
3. run the sample
This sample pgm will just open a predefined Oracle DB, read and write a record to a table.
I see there is a demo_procob.mk file in precomp/demo/procob2. Not sure how to use it. Any help out would be helpful.
Thanks.Thanks for the quick reply.
I think the examples are installed and that is the reason I see the sample1..10. I can do procob on the sample1.pco to convert it to a pure cobol pgm and then compile through microfocus server express. But I can't run it as it gave Load error: file 'sqladr'; error code 173, pc=0, call=1, seg=0 173 called program file not find in drive/directory.
Is this the right step and where can I find the sqladr and other modules?
should this be placed in the COBDIR or PATH?
Anything else I need to set?
thanks. -
MRS - Resources and demands are not visible in the Planning Board
Hi Friends - I am working on the the MRSS 610. We have installed it on the our ECC 6.0 as an add-on. We have configured the system as per the configuration guide.
But when I am accessing Manageru2019s Planning Board - /MRSS/PLBOMGR , using the Organization unit, I am getting Notification saying that the resources assigned to the Organization unit are not available in the MRS.
"Resource 00000000010000000000000000000000 not yet created in the WFM Core"
The details of the Error message
"Resource 00000000010000000000000000000000 not yet created in the WFM Core
Message no. /MRSS/SGE034
Diagnosis
Resource 00000000010000000000000000000000 has not yet been created in MRS.
System Response
No assignments have been created for resource 00000000010000000000000000000000, even though, according to the organizational model, this resource is to be taken into consideration in the planning board.
Procedure
Contact technical support.
Procedure for System Administration
Create the resource in question in MRS."
I have run the Report
/MRSS/HCM_RPTWFMIF : Transfers the HR data (availability times, qualifications and the resources itself) into the MRS Basis
But even after that I am not getting the resources in the planning board.
Also I am not able to view the Demands from PM/CS orders.
I have created PM Orders and
Assigned Work centres to the operations and
assigned the Resources to the Operations.
The HR assignment to the work center is also done.
I have tried T Code /MRSS/PLBOSRV - Enter the MRS planning board using a specified order
to pull the order demand. But it is not working
Its giving following message
1004280 is not a valid demand
Message no. /MRSS/SGU139
Diagnosis
The order does not exist in MRS.
This may be because:
The order number has an invalid format.
The order does not exist.
The order is not relevant for planning and has therefore not been transferred to MRS.
The order has been deleted from MRS.
Pls help me on this.
Thanks in advance and warm regards
PurnenduHi Anil/Saurabh - Thanks a lot for your replies.
I have checked the MRS configuration as per your suggestion.
It looks fine as per the configuration guide. I have done the PM/CS integration for Orders as demand.
But the Demands are not visible on the Planning Board.
I have checked in the debugging mode what is causing the problem - It looks like
"The Database Table: /mrss/d_dem_h needs entry"
But there are no entries in this table.
I could not find any Customizing transactions or Application transactions for maintaining this table. This is an Application Table for Master and Transaction Data and its Display and Maintenance allowed with Restriction.
I could not also find any transaction for transferring Demand from ECC(R/3) to MRS.
How do I maintain entries in this table?
How do I transfer Demand from ECC to MRS?
Saurabh - I have also been not able to transfer HR Resources from ECC to MRS.
We don't have WFM Core installed in our instance. But MRS should work fine without WFM. MRS Basis should take care of it.
To transfer Employee resources i have run the Program " /MRSS/HCM_RPTWFMIF". But when I execute the transaction with the selection parameters system shows that it is processing (Clock at the bottom Status bar) but it does not shows any result or status.
So I am not sure whether it is executing the program properly.
Pls help me resolve these issues.
Thanks and warm regards

Security Permissions from Management Console Not Being Replicated on SQL Server Database
Hi Everyone,
We have been encountering issues with access to Reporting Services for most console users since we upgraded to SCCM 2012 R2. We have observed that since the R2 upgrade, security permissions
that are set in the console are not being replicated on the SQL database. Users/Groups that had access prior to the R2 upgrade are now only able to access Reports via the web interface. All new users/groups are not able to get access at all.
We are not sure what the problem could be and would appreciate any guidance.
We have tried the following without success:
Manually adding new users/groups to the database
Reinstalling the the Reporting Service point and Reporting Service, Removing all of the security groups from the console and from the database, and Adding the security groups back
to the console.
Our current environment:
SCCM 2012 R2

OS: Server 2008 R2

SQL Server
OS: Server 2008 R2
SQL Version: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
Roles: Site Database Server / Reporting Services PointThanks for your feedback.
Permissions
We have two main types of users: Full Administrators and local departmental IT administrators. (Local IT Admins only have full control over their own departmental collections. They have Read/Add to All Systems.)
The only account that's currently able to run Reports from both the console and web is the admin account used to perform the R2 upgrade.
Full Administrator
Role: Full Administrator
Scope: All instances of the objects that are related to the assigned security roles.
Local Departmental Administrator
Role: Full Administrator & Read/Add
Scope: Main Departmental Collection (Full Admin) & All Systems, All Users, and All User Groups (Read/Add)
Report Service Execution
On the database, we have tried assigning the Report Service Execution Account to the built-in Network Service Account, Local Service Account, and to a separate AD role account.
Error Messages
Console: We are able to select reports from the Console however nothing appears when we click on Run.
Web: Generating Reports from the Web works for only the Full Administrators. Nothing appears for a Local Departmental Admin.
