Xacute Send Mail by placing an iGrid in the message
It has been a few years since I have tried or seen this, but could someone either direct me or submit a sample of the format I should use when placing MII's applets in the message portion of the Send Mail in Xacute?
Well applets generally don't work in emails for a couple of reasons. For one.. MII security, second, outlook won't display it... But other than that, its just like any other HTML page if you set the Message Content Type to text/html.
Then you can drop in an applet call using the same syntax you would in a web page.
However I would highly recommend using pictures or html tables instead, not applets.

When sending mail on my iphone I get the message 'The recipient was rejected by the server'
Hello - Does anyone know how I change this to stop this from happening?
Forgive the comment if it offends any poster but - this problem persists in dozens (if not more) threads and Forums and is clearly an iPhone problem. My Nokia (using a non Nokia email) and my BlackBerry (ditto) has never had this problem. Sadly, in my case, it appears to be a random rejection of emails sent via the iPhone - which is intensely frustrating as one can never be sure the email has gone - until the error message pops up again. And yes, I have done all that the threads on this Forum suggest, and yet the problem remains. I feel that Apple should get the grips with this and offer a proper fix (and set of instructions) so that it can indeed be fixed! Ho hum...

When i try to send email from my ipad i get the message The recipient "£)()&&£)" was rejected by the server. This has only just started to happen and I don't know why. Please can someone help. I have tried lots of things now and cannot solve it.
"Your email account" means to tap on the name of your email account. Whatever it is listed as in the settings.
In my mail settings, one of my email accounts is a Comcast account. I tap on the Comcast name and it brings up this window.
Then I tap on the arrow under the Outgoing mail server smtp setting to get to the next window.
In the resulting window, I then tap on the arrow next to the smtp server under the Primary Server setting.
That brings up this window in which I check to make sure that my user name and password have been entered correctly. If those items are missing, enter them in the appropriate fields and then tap done. -
How can I attach a pdf file to outgoing mail without it opening up within the message?
How can I attach a pdf file to outgoing mail without in opening up within the message?
You can use the Share button on Preview's toolbar. Choosing Email pops open Mail with the PDF already iconified as an attachment. If it doesn't behave this nicely for you, select the PDF in Mail and choose the right contextual menu, where you will find View as Icon. I also have Send Windows-Friendly attachments enabled.

How can I empty the Junk mail folder in Yahoo without opening the messages?
How can I empty the Junk Mail folder in Yahoo without opening the messages?
You can swipe across them on the left and delete them unread. Unfortunately there is no 'delete all' option in mail.
Or you can just ignore them on your iPad and empty the junk folder when/if you access your mail online. -

I have been using the iPad for email for a year. WIFI connection cannot be established for some reason, I am stuck on 3G. I am sitting next to the WIFI router.
Why can't I send email using my only email address hplar45ATcomcastDOTnet?
Why can't I get a WIFI connection?
What changed?
Dan
<Email Edited by Host>I can't answer why you are not able to connect to WiFi but I can tell you to try the basic things, turn WiFi off and on again, restart your iPad, reset network settings, reboot your router, forget your WiFi network and try again .....
The issue with the email is probably a password issue. Make sure that your password is entered in the incoming mail server setting and in the outgoing mail server setting as well. The outgoing server setting can be accessed by tapping on the SMTP under the Outgoing Mail Server Setting and then tapping the smtp.comcast.net in the next window under the Primary Server Setting.
The outgoing mail server setting will be in the first window when you tap on the Comcast account in the Mail settings.
Look here for a few different web sites for help with the WiFi.

The other error messages are "cannot copy message to drafts" and " thunderbird failed to connect to gmail server". This appears to only happen when sending mail to a gmail address.
OK, you seem to be running Zone Alarm as your firewall. It includes a utility which checks to see whether a site is safe or not and also adds a plugin to Firefox which is listed as '''npFFApi'''. Can you disable that and see if it makes any difference?
To get to the plugins manager, click the orange Firefox button, then click "Add-ons". In the page that opens, click the "Plugins" link on the left which will open the menu. Then find '''npFFApi '''and click the "''Disable''" button. -

Problems sending mail-titles of Billing docs to the same Sold-to-party
Problems with mail-titles in sending Billing documents to the same Sold-to-party.
If we send, by using VF04, different Invoices to the same Sold-to-party, we expect in the mail-title not always the last Invoice (XVBRK-VBELN).
Mail-title: Invoice &XVBRK-VBELN& (your ref. &VBRK-BSTNK_VF&)
In transaction SOST we see:
Invoice 900014179 (your ref.)
Invoice 900014179 (your ref.)
The result should be:
Invoice 900014178 (your ref.)
Invoice 900014179 (your ref.)
How can we solve this problem ....Hello,
You have this problem sending via external mail? If yes, had collegue with same problem & as I understand here's what was done to solve:
-- in output condition master set dispatch to be via scheduled job (previously had been immed) -- trans VV31 or VV32
-- set up the job itself -- trans VF31
I've not tested myself, but maybe you could try in your dev system to see if it works. Good luck -
Sending mail with Cc and copy in sent message box
Since I have the last OS X 10.6.6 update, I dont receive anymore the Cc copy which I send to myself
and have only the copy of the sent message in the sent box (messages envoyés)
Similarly I cannot send a mail to myself as a verification process of my external mail provider. The copy is stored in the sent copy box, but it doesnt arrive in the in box (boite de reception)
How can I get back to the former situation in which I could send copies to myself or send mail to myself
Thanks for any hint
ClaudeThe first exception is this:
http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/FAQ.html#norelay
The second exception is probably due to a configuration error
on the client. Turn on session debugging and the protocol
trace will give some clues about what's wrong with the HELO
command. -
I received an e amil from somenone. contained in her email was another e mail adress. When i opened the email, somehow it copied and attached itself to my Apple e mail ID. i'm unable to fix this. Now when try to send an e mail, her's is attached to mine as senders. Thanks
SaideThis is not a virus - it simply means that someone has stolen/hacked into one of your friends' addressbooks and stolen all the email addresses. This is standard practice - unfortunately. They then use a legitimate address like yours to fake their outgoing spam emails and send it to thousands of people. My Yahoo account has been hacked into several times; in fact, I am getting spam emails FROM me TO me....
Not much you can do - change your password, but it really is too late since the door is already open so to speak. If it gets too annoying, you'd need to close the account and open another with an impossible to guess user name and password. Or just put up with it.
I only use my ISP's email address for my close friends to try to avoid such things; I maintain a couple of Yahoo and other web based accounts for anyone else. They are easy to replace if necessary. -
Just bought a new MacMini(my first Apple PC) and when I open mail I get the brief details of mail received but whe I click on the message to read the details I get a "loading" sign but the message is not displayed.
Any help for a Dumbo would be appreciated.Very strange, do you have any AV or Web filtering apps like Norton installed?
Do the working accounts use a different Port or Authentication than the non-working one?
The receiving email ports are:
IMAP is port 143
IMAP-SSL is port 993
POP is port 110
POP-SSL is port 995 -
I have searched quite a bit to find a resolution to this problem, with no success. Any help would be appreciated.
I decided to rebuild my inboxes by following this advice: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11704. The rebuild took several hours and at 96% (4 minutes remaining apparently), the indexing froze (that is, after 8 hours, the message was still telling me "4 minutes left"). I forced quit mail, restored the previous Envelope files from the trash, and everything seemed fine.
However, since this failed attempt, I can see and select the message in the center pane and when I click on it to display, I get "Loading" text, but nothing comes up. All messages in my various inboxes have the reloading problem, EXCEPT messages that I downloaded since the aborted rebuild (in other words, there are about 40 messages that I downloaded since I tried the rebuild and I have no problem with these). The other 70,000 messages however wont load, even though I can see them in the centre pane and spotlight has no problem finding them and showing me their contents (when I hover the mouse over the message). When I click on the message in spotlight, mail opens and the loading problem re-occurs.
Since then, based on various suggestions I found for similar issues, I have used Disk Utility to verify and repair permissions and the drive. I used Onix to rebuild the Mail index (that only took about a minute - I am not sure how to interpret this when compared to the hours the rebuild took with Mail). No joy, I still have the same problem. I even restored one of my inboxes via Time Machine and the same issue with loading continues.
I am using ML 10.8.2. I have a combination of IMAP accounts (work) and POP accounts (personal). The issue of loading occurs irrespective of the account.
I am baffled and am now considering migrating to either Thunderbird or Postbox 3 to try and solve my problem. I prefer to stay with Mail. I should note also that I am using MailTags with Mail (http://www.indev.ca/MailTags.html), although I have not used any of the features. I upgraded to ML from SL about 2 weeks ago. It was very smooth and there appear to be no issues (not sure how helpful this is and probably not at all related to this issue).
Any suggestions much appreciated!Maybe these will help:

My email only display the list of mails in my in box with a preview of the first two lines of the body of the message. When one clicks on the message to open it, only the header is displayed in the right hand side of the screen - the actual message is missing. This happens on older mail previously downloaded that use to work properly as well. Any idea how to fix this?
Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
