XAV-601BT: Mirrorlink and Next/Previous + some suggestions
Hello.
I recently purchased a XAV601BT unit and I'm very happy with it. It works really fine and I don't have all the problems people are talking about here.
My XAV601 firmware version : HR10_xav_1.12.001
My Sony Xperia Z firmware version: 10.1.A.1.434
There are still little things to upgrade:
- Using Mirrorlink with my phone there are no more Next/previous buttons, neither from the remote control, neither from my stering wheel. (They work in bluetooth source)
That's a pity because I'm using nav of my phone and the player is always background: I cannont safely switch between the apps, press next and back to nav. I'm using my Smart Watch but it's not a solution.
I think it's a Mirror Link issue so I think you should contact them to find a solution.
That leads to another issue::
- So if bluetooth prev/next works why shouldn't I use it ? Keep my phone visible for the nav, go to Audio BT and use prev/next. Guess what: it works BUT there is no sound on my speakers.
On my phone the MirrorLink icon is still active and to get some sound I need to disconnect the USB wire from my phone.
I don't know if it is possible, but I'd like to have no MirrorLink on my phone until the source is activated on the Head Unit.
- And a request: what should be really cool is to get the nav of the phone activated, use another source, and get the phone instructions on the nav speaker, Using BT or MirrorLink don't know. But I have a Motorcycle BT headset that has an FM receiver: I can use the FM receiver and get my phone conected. The FM is playing the radio, but when any sound is received from the phone (i.e. nav instructions) the FM switchs off, the bt is played, switches off and FM is back.
If you can do that, the XAV601BT will be just a perfect product.
And, you know:
You just need to solve 1 of the 2 first requests I posted.
And for solve the first one you just need to keep the AVRCP connected.

Actually i have tried to search for a tutorial and i found that one that was very helpful and gave me the half solution. the part i found and it worked with me is the part of the next and previous buttons and moving from an image to another.
SO the part i still need is the list so when i click on a category i get the pictures of the chosen category, I had the idea of create a flash for each category alone and maybe i will be able to add them all together.
But i guess it's too much work and there must be a way where i can make it all in one flash file.
If you have any idea let me know please, thank you again for your help and i'm trying to search for the AS3 image gallery as you told me.

Anyone have a link for MirrorLink progress and expansion plans? What phones are slated to be compatible in the future? Are there talks with Apple or even the iPhone jailbreak community to allow MirrorLink capability (limited or otherwise) ?

2) As for use of your XAV-601BT outside the united states, The tuner is designed for the region the model is released in. since your XAV-60BT is designed for North America the Tuner is

AM: Tuner Frequency Range(kHz): 530-1710
with a Step Separation of 50 dB at 1 kHz this cannot be altered for in between stations.

CF Set form.variable for query and Next/Previous pages error
I have a CF form with a select that posts to a CF "action" page.
On the action page I: CFSET ItemNumber=#form.ItemNumber#
I CFOUTPUT the 'ItemNumber' into the CFQUERY (which is an Inner Join dependant on the '#ItemNumber#')...
All of the above works just fine and displays the database fields in color alternating rows, per the rest of the code.
Here's the problem:
I'm displaying 40 rows on a page per "Next and Previous" code. (CFPARAM name="start" default="1" and CFPARAM name="disp" default="40" along with the rest of the NextN code in the header and body). This does display 40 rows on the page and puts a link at the bottom of the page "Next 40 Rows", etc.
Note: I'm only querying the database once and using the query (query name="data") to populate the table rows And the NextN code (CFOUTPUT name="data") And (CFIF start + disp GREATER THAN data.RecordCount, etc)...
The problem happens when you click the "Next 40 Rows" link to display the 2nd page of rows. Since (I'm assuming) this NextN code is 're-reading' the same page from top to bottom, an error is thrown when the code tries to read the CFSET ItemNumber=#form.ItemNumber# at the top of the page.
With the #form.ItemNumber# on this action page Originally coming from the previous posting of the form to this action page, when the "Next 40 Rows" link is clicked and the NextN code re-reads this action page - the CFSET ItemNumber (#form.ItemNumber) is not getting populated and throws the error...
I hope I've not made this sound confusing.
I can get the NextN code to work when I'm just querying the database without "flying in" a form variable. But when I CFSET a variable (#form.ItemNumber#) that is inserted into the query, the second page of the NextN throws an error and doesn't display.
I would include the page code here but it would be fairly lengthy and, as well, the NextN code is a 'standard' CF code -- I've narrowed the problem down to the above "Element is undefined" (when the page tries to reload from the "Next 40 Rows" link) and am hoping there's a simple fix or another way to display the records in Next and Previous pages.

Yes - The Next/Previous at the bottom of the page are hyperlinks.

The following is at the top of the page (and is the variable from the form that I CFOUTPUT in the query):

The error report showed that the "Next Page" hyperlink was reading an undefined variable... although when the "action page" first opens from the form posting to it, it populates the CFSET just fine (per the cfparam and cfset above)... As you mention, the hyperlink clearing the form scope is what causes the error in trying to display the next set of records...
The form page and the 'action page' are both secure pages with an application page setting the session, etc. Am I at risk in using an URL scope?
Where would this URL scope be put? (The href is shown above - would the URL scope go in this? - How would this be written?)
The CFPARAM and CFSET would still exist at the top of the 'action page' and still throw an error wouldn't it or would this be replaced with something else to read the form.variable for this 'first' action page to be displayed?

Is there any additional code needed to replicate the functionality of the previous and next record buttons in the standard toolbar other than the built-ins that are provided? I'm getting some weird results by just using the built-ins. Thanks!
Well, to give you and example, when I query the first record and then press the button that uses the previous_record built-in I get the message: at first record (same as the toolbar button). However, when I press the next record button, I'll eventually get the message: field must be entered (whereas, the toolbar button will bring up the message: record must be entered or deleted first). I was wondering why the next_record built-in would bring up a different message, and how to get my button to function the same way as the one in the toolbar.

Css class for rangebar text "Previous and Next"
I am using <af:selectRangeChoiceBar>
I want to give a specific font size to "Previous" and "Next" text.
If it is a link then i am able to do that, but if it is not a link i could't able to find the css class for that.
Is there anyway to give those text eveytime a specific font size...what will be the css class name to do that?

Shuffle no longer responding to next/previous and volume control
I have an shuffle that no longer responds to the ring control. I can start playing and stop it but I can't jump to next previous songs and I can't alter the volume. At first this was intermittent so I'm wondering if there may be some corrosion involved. I have a Gen 3 shuffle but never use it because it's harder to control and I can't use my primo Shure ear buds on it.
Can I maybe squirt some WD40 under onto the ring? It's past the one year warranty. I've already had it replaced once for dead battery.

MichaelThanks, I looked at ifixit.com's teardown of this model and that's exactly right... little contacts on circuit board. What's interesting is that when I first use it I can change tracks but after a few minutes of playing the ring control stops working altogether, while the center on/off button works. It's almost as if it's temp related, maybe it warms up when in contact with my body. I'll have to test that.

I create HTML5 help projects from a package called MadCap Flare. It uses what they call an HTML5 'skin' that sets the style/layout of the page and also includes 'Navigate previous' and 'Navigate next' buttons. When viewing the help and pressing these navigate buttons in IE8 or Chrome 32 there is no problem, but in Firefox 27 I get the following: (typical error for pressing a button on any page)
"File not found"

- Because the files and buttons work in other browsers I'm wondering just what is going on here with Firefox>>>>I should correct that last entry and state that the | charactacters are generated automatically in the Toc-Path for each 'book' name in the online help, and are not something manually created, whereas the : characters have come from the TOC book topic names (which were manually entered names and are what we would ideally require). I can't migrate from a time machine Back up. I select my TC and it says "some backups can't be opened. Make sure that all of your network devices are connected and turned on. It appears that some backups are already in use. If you don't see the backup you need, make sure it is not currently mounted by another machine and try again."

But you should be able to mount the sparsebundle and backup the major items if they are not damaged. You might also do a disk verify to see if the corruption can be repaired.

I just got a 5s and had taken some pictures. Then I plugged it into my PC and set it up using my previous backup from my iPhone 4. Now the pictures I had taken are gone, is there any way to get them back?!
Sorry no as you wipe the current data when you restore from your backup.

Date Picker with Previous and Next Year Options
Hi All,
I am implementing a date picker in my application which is tied to an attribute of type PA0001-BEGDA. Date Picker as such works fine but navigating to previous year and Next year options are not available. User has to go month by month to different years if they have to navigate.
Is this the normal behavior of the Date Picker or am I missing something else to get the previous and Next year icons in the Date Picker.

Nagarajan.hmm..I tried using the select options and it did give the same date picker with the previous and Next navigation icons...The only problem with the select options is that its a single field which has the range and can accept multiple values too...
I tried to figure out how the date picker that we use in the custom application and the one in Select Options differ but no luck...Does this ring any bell?

Wiluse the _currentframe+55 for your next button and
_currentframe-55 for your previous button unless the current frame
is 1 or 55 when you were inconsistant used 54 frames between slide
transitions. -

The criteria is:
Type should always flow F->T
if current abs(amount)> next abs(amount) then groupid = 'PD'
if current abs(amount)< next abs(amount) then groupid = 'PI'
there is no case when those amounts will be equals
where current(custid) = next(custid) and current(service) = next(service) and groupid is null

I have exclamation points next to some of my songs and they won't play...how do I get them to play?
I am not an expert but here's my two cents:
The exclamation point means itunes cannot find the music file in order to play it. There are several possible reasons for this, including but not limited to changing the name or location of your music library/songs, or storing them on an external hard drive or device that is not currently attached. The solutions for these are different so let me know if any of these apply and we can troubleshoot.
