Xbox Modern Warfare 2

I recently purchased a Linksys WRT320N as gaming router. When i play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox Live it finds allot less multiplayer games if i'm not connected directly to my modem. The game pings 50 multiplayer games games by default and flags the game room as "good" if the response time is under 100ms.
I have a ADSL 8Mbps down / 1Mbps up internet connection, a Speedtouch 546 DSL modem and a Linksys WRT320N router. NAT type is OPEN according to Modern Warfare 2.
I want to use the following setup:
Modem -> Router -> Xbox 360 all wired.
If i use the setup Modem -> Router -> Xbox 360 all wired the games finds about 1 or 2 per 50 scanned multiplayer games. When i use the setup Modem -> Xbox 360 it finds like 15-25 per 50 scanned multiplayer games.
UPnP is enabled on both my modem and router. I've tried forwarding ports 3074 (udp&tcp), 53 (udp&tcp), 80 (tcp) and 88 (udp) from my modem to my router and from the router to the xbox or just from my modem to my router or router to xbox, creating a DMZ for my xbox on the router, enabling WMM and No Ack on the router and setting priority to the ports on high but it has absolutly no effect at all.
Does anyone had a similar problem which they've managed to solve, or does anyone know how to fix this problem (other then connecting it directly to my modem)? I'd be eternally grateful

some people have this problem and Linksys Router is a very bad choice for MW2! Cisco you dont want to upgreate your FW for fix this problem??? :

Cisco Please update your frimware for slove this problem. Linksys routher having this problem when the user ip is a public and when we test with private IP from ISP the problem is sloved. so please linksys check this problem with Public IP to slove This...

WRT54GL issues with XBOX 360 Modern Warfare 2 chat (even with Open NAT)

Hi,
I read some posts about the subject but can't seem to make it work. I have tried port forwarding, UPnP and DMZ on their own or all at once and the best I could do is to get an "Open NAT" in Modern Warfare allowing me to play online. However, I can't hear other people talk when playing online. I can tell they're speaking by watching the speaker icon beside their name in between games but can't hear them... I can hear people in my private chat or party no problem.
Can you guys help me? It's hard playing domination without being able to communicate with teammates.

I am having the same problem that was described except I checked my XBox Live setting and it shows that I can chat with everyone (meaning no restrictions). I have check my routers settings (port forwarding, UPnP and DMZ, & Open NAT) just as was described but I still cannot hear any of the players, but they can hear me. I have been searching online for possible solutions and I have tried them all with no success. I have also spoken with XBox tech support on 3 different occassions. Can someone let me know what will work?

Xbox Live Strict Nat Modern Warfare 3

I have just bought Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 but when I try to play online it keeps saying I have got a Strict NAT. Been on the phone to Bombay to contact BT Support (F'ing useless).
I have the ports for the game 80, 53, 3074 (TCP) and 88, 53, 3074 (UDP)
I have a Home Hub 2.
Any ideas?

Normally when trying to get access to advanced settings having gone to http://192.168.1.254 you will be asked for a password.
This should be on a label on your router (on back or bottom) and should allow you to gain access, if you have changed this perhaps in the past, you can reset it by carrying out a factory reset on your hub.
The router will prompt you to change it to something more personal after your first login.

Opening NAT for Modern Warfare 2 on my PC

As I'm sure many of you are doing as well I've been playing Modern Warfare 2 since the night it came out. It is telling me that I have a strict NAT on my router (WRT160n V2). I've searched on the forum and all I can find is information on opening the NAT for the xbox 360. I run mine on my PC and I'm wondering what ports I need to open, and whatever else it would take to make Call of Duty run the absolute best possible. Thanks in advance for any help.

i had this issue for a while. first i dmz'd through my dsl router to my desktop and everything came through fine. it wouldnt allow me to do this with my lap top though. i know that is not a good idea and it was just to check if it would open the nat at all. After some tinkering i had to call my isp and ask them to help me set up the modem so it would just pass all the info to the router. I know that the original poster of this thread has cable but i am posting something in here since it is a similar issue and it might be able to help some one. Once i set my router to PPoE and had the correct ports forwarded my nat opened on the laptop. i also turned the firewall on my router off and left upnp.

Why isin't 'Call of duty modern warfare 3' compatible for mac honestly do you know how much money you would get on Mac Apple Store then people won't want a windows anymore since most of the people or young people use windows for games honestly Mac can do much much better! People would love it who agrees with me?

I cannot open NAT in Modern Warfare 2

Hello everyone.
I have for a long time been playing Modern Warfare 2 with the NAT set to STRICT. But recently I have had troubles by playing with friends online so I figured: "Why don't try open my NAT?". I have searched all over the internet for turtorials etc. that tells me how to fix it and I found quite a lot. This is what I have tried to do:
I went into my routers configuration system to do as told in the turtorials. I have enabled the UPnP and I have done the Port Range Forward thing:

Cod4 was, and still is, one of the best games I have ever played on, across all platforms.
Does anybody have any information about cod modern warfare 2 coming to the mac platform? I want to know whether my macbook will suffice or whether I need to purchase a beautiful PS3 just to play it..

Modern Warfare 2 - Yay! It's Coming!

Yay! I finally received an email saying my Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console has shipped by UPS on 11/11/09! It shows it coming from Ohio on 11/11/09 and now in New York morning of 11/12/09. (I am in Connecticut).
Okay, call off the Protest! And, store those posters away! LOL!

Well, I was really hoping to have the Modern Warfare 2 Console to play this weekend, but I am not sure if I will receive it today (Fri.). It went from Ohio ------->Buffalo, NY --------->Shrewsbury, MA----------->Hartford, CT (which is 2 1/2 hours north of me). Keep my fingers crossed.

Modern Warfare 2 Midnight Release Question.

Alright so im planning to hit the Midnight Release of modern warfare 2.
I get off work at 12:00 am exactly and it takes me 30 minutes to get to the best buy.
How late will best buy be open for this? and will they have enough copies if im not able to make it?
If im not able to make it for the midnight release will they have copiers later on in the day?
I have not preordered, will that affect anything at all?

they usually stay open for an hour for midnight release you dont have to have a preorder to get a game...they should have plenty of extra copies tonight and tomorrow

No EAX or CMSS3D in Modern Warfare 2

$ I am using Windows 7 professional 64bit, I bought the Titanium Fatalty pro series for positional audio in modern warfare 2 and it is not working.
I have headphones enabled, stereo in game, CMSS3D enabled in the control panel, the CMSS3D demo test works fine, I have tried using alchemy, I have tried everything I can think of.

I think it must be the poor sound engine of the game, I have asked around on a few forums, it is working minimally but compared to CS:S it is very poor, I imagine battlefield would have great positional audio like CS:S from what I have heard, its just a shame with MW2, there is a bit of positioning but sounds directly infront and behind are a bit soft, and theres no distance positioning, sometimes sounds will sound much closer or furthur away then they are.
The only settings in game are speaker configuration such as stereo, 5. quadraphonic and mono. setting it to 5. or stereo makes no difference, I am putting it down to the game.

Bootcamp with windows 7 pro 32bit playing call of duty 4 modern warfare

i hope that this topic is correct in this forum..recently boot camp with windows 7 professional 32bit and install call of duty modern warfare and run the game..when i play the game..everything run smoothly..however when i press escape and goes into the pause menu..my screen hangs there..i can't move my mouse..y is it so?anyway to fix this?however when i press escape back..it goes back into the game after some time..hope i can get some help here..thanks..: )

I have exact the same problem with COD4 and my iMac and thought I'm the only one so far. So I'm sure, it is not an hardware issue, but a driver issue (esp. since the bootcamp 3.1 drivers are really outdated). Installing the latest ATI mobility catalyst drivers (i.e., 10.6) helped me at least a little by making this screen blanking somewhat more rarely but didn't solve it completely. However, I guess we have to wait until Apple fixes the iPhone issues first until they can gather some resources to update the bootcamp ATI drivers from *NOVEMBER 2009*!

I’m really looking forward to Black Ops 3; I thoroughly enjoyed the second one, especially the multiplayer aspects of the game. I can understand why you might want the physical version of the game versus the digital version and how having redeemed the beta code might impact an exchange.

However, since you have not yet received the download and you’ve simply pre-ordered it, the store should be able to exchange the pre-order to the physical version of the game if you would like. Please keep in mind that there is not a deluxe edition available anymore for the physical copy of the game, only the regular versions here.

XFi and Modern Warfare 3 PC.

I tried doing a search for "Modern Warfare 3" (5 hits starting a year ago) and "MW3" (too short) already.
An issue I'm having with both the latest official & beta drivers is that in MW3, the game will go on for a random amount of time (anywhere from 2-10+ games,) then the sound will go into a screech/buzz that does not go away unless I restart. Occasionally, restarting the three audio-related services (in Win7: Creative Audio Service, Windows Audio, and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder) will stop the glitched sound, but the sound goes dead afterwards (although rarely it will return, though if I fiddle with the entertainment/gaming/creation modes, I get the 'click' noise despite no sound from Windows.) This only occurs in MW3 and no other game. I've done clean install on the drivers, disabled soundblaster enhancements, closed other programs (like ventrilo), etc. Nothing seems to fix it.
This also occurs with an older, PCI X-Fi Fatality I have sitting around as well, and those official/beta drivers. So I have ruled out a bad card.
I'm running an AMD Phenon x4 965 @ stock, Asus Crosshair IV Formula, Geforce 570, & X-Fi Titanium Fatality (PCI-e.)
If I could hear anything from suppose basically saying they know the issue at least exists, that would be fantastic. Google and the rest of the internet has completely failed me. :\

Yes u can i recorded a gameplay here using my 15 inch i7 on bootcamp u can run 1280 x 720 graphic boost to high and use 2x AA and u will still have the max fps
