Xbox one and HH5 problems

Set up my xbox one and HH5 on a wired connection.  My d/l and u/l speeds are only around 10mbps also my Nat is moderate.  Tried my old HH3 and speeds are 75mbps down and 17 up, but Nat is still moderate.  Have now gone back to HH5 and did hard reset on router and still have the same problems as mentioned above. I also deleted any mention of my HH3 in my manage network connections.
My xbox 360 worked fine with open nat and fibre optic speeds.  Any have any idea on fixing this as i have been trying for the last 4 hours.
Thanks

I had problems with Xbox one and HH5.
I have set my HH5 up this way and dont have any problems, with XB1 or any other device connected to the HH5 (wired or Wirless)
Makes sure you have seperate ssid for both 2.4 and 5 Ghz wirless networks.
Turn off upnp.
Turn off Smart setup.
Save
Reboot router.
Enjoy

  • $90 off Xbox One and Evolve Purchase

    Hello,
Over the weekend I purchased an Xbox One and Evolve for the Xbox One. There was an offer that advertised that $90 would be discounted when purhcasing the two in the same transaction. The Xbox One was $349.99 and Evolve was $59.99. As such, the pretax total should hav been $319.98. However, the pretax total turned out to be $365.98. I was wondering what went wrong with my transaction, and if someone could provide assistance.

    Hello lznd661,
Thanks for writing in, and thank you for being a My Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked member.  I'm happy to review your concerns today.
As richmoral mentioned, the $90 is taking into account the $50 gift card, so you see on the receipt both the $50 off the console (which takes toe console to the current sales price) and $50 out of that price which is for the free gift card.  Then $40 is taken off the game.  Gamers Club Unlocked benefits are then applied to the game, bringing you to $94 off.
I hope this helps clarify things for you, but please let me know if there's anything else I can do to assist you today.

  • Xbox One and xbox 360 on the same Home Hub 4

I currently have an xbox one and 360 directly connected to a Home Hub 4 (with different internal static IP addresses  allocated to the xbox units).  I want to configure port forwarding on the Hub to enable access to xbox live and other gaming services.
I have created the game profiles one the hub and can allocate to one of the devices, but when I try to allocate (either the same or another profile), I get a conflict error.
I understand why this is happening and was wondering if there was a simple way to resolve this (without giving both xboxs the same IP address, and only having one online at any given time)?
    Many thanks
    Ian

    Hi there,
If you are using UPnP, then you will need to use what's known as "Port Range Triggering".
You can't use "Port Range Forwarding" as the limitation of this is that it expects the ports to be directed to one internal IP address.
The ports you need to forward are as follows:
    53, 88, 80 and 3074.
Disable DMZ (should be disabled by default on the Home Hub 4, but double-check) and also disable "Port Range Forwarding", if this option is available.
Lastly, you will need to set your MTU to 1364 to avoid lag issues.
*DISCLAIMER: This is generic advice, sourced from the internet, so I cannot be held responsible for it's accuracy, as I don't use a Home Hub router*
EDIT: Here's a Youtube link that explains the process visually. Although the user here doesn't use a Home Hub, essentially the process is the same.

  • XBOX ONE. I have the xbox one and the airport time capsule and cant connect to most xbox live games and zero parties. I have 0 experience in all this but somehow was able to change NAT to open but still wont connect. HELLLPPPP

Okay folks, I need your help out there.
So the nerdy side of me went and picked up the XBOX ONE on release day. Its awesome by the way, BUT..... I cant seem to connect to most xbox live games and absolutely ZERO parties. At first I just thought it was something to do with the xbox itself and would eventually fix itself, but i was wrong. After looking into it on microsoft, i found out that it had to do with my NAT settings on the airport itself. I guess apple and xbox are not compatiable for xbox live and it makes it difficult to have an open NAT setting and is a huge PAIN.
I was able to pinpoint one that the airport time capsule was blocking the IPV6 something or another. Anyways, I unblocked that, and reset the modem and time capsule and jumped on the xbox and now have open NAT settings but still cant connect to multi-player.
Upon further searching, i was told to uncheck the UPNP on my time capsule as well, but have no idea how to find that.
I know it seems confusing, but thats the best i can describe it.
    tthanks all

Be a long long time before I see an Xbox One.. but whoever told you to uncheck the upnp in the TC.. tell them their dreamin' .. upnp is not support by Apple in any computer or router, never has been.. Apple deliberately wrote their own version called NAT-PMP to do the same thing.. dynamically open ports at the request of an application or client computer.
So there is nothing like that to uncheck.. and as a matter of interest.. there no box to check or uncheck for NAT-PMP either.. since apple do not believe in end user adjustment of settings.. they simply do not exist.
You will have to manually forward all ports required by the Xbox via the TC. For multi-player games you probably need to open more ports than the standard to allow just xbox live. You will need to check the ports required and open them.
    OR
Buy a standard vista UPNP compatible router.. and use that.. and simply put the TC in bridge in the network.
I have not seen posts yet about xbox one.. but there are plenty about xbox and ps3 and the fact that Apple really doesn't give a hoot about games consoles.
This is a good basic post for older xbox.

  • XBOX 360 AND WRT54G PROBLEMS

Hi, for some reason when i go online on the xbox360, i can only connect to a few of my friends. I get a mesage that says that my NAT is to moderate and I cannot join them at all. Can some one please tell me how do I change the whole NAT thing to OPEN and what would happen if I was to change it to open?

Yes the stepwise setting on router are ....

    1)  Under set up tab.... look for MTU .... by default it is under "auto" ....choose manual .... change the size to 1365 ....
    Click save settings ....
    2)   Click security tab .... uncheck Block Wan Anonymous Wan request .... click save settings ....
    3)   Click "Apllications & gaming tab" .... under Apllication name use any name .... under start  end port use numbers 88.... use Ip address assigned to X-BOX .... check enable ....
    4)   Under second row .....use any other Application name ..... under start & end port use 3074 .... use static Ip of the X-BOX ....check enable ....
    Click save settings ....
Configure the X-BOX using the wireless settings on the router ....
Also use the static Ip ...subnet mask ...default gateway & DNS numbers on the X-BOX .......
Check the connection.....may be it work.....

  • Not able to connect to uplay on xbox one

    Hi there,
I seem to have a problem where I can't connect to any ubisoft games on my xbox one. I have both Assassins Creed : Black Flag and Trials Fusion and both constantly say the servers are unavailable. I am able to connect to the uplay app via the xbox one and also the website but no luck at all with the game servers, is this still a widespread issue?
    Regards,
    Mike.

  • Can't log into skype on xbox one.

I am trying to use skype on my xbox one and about a month ago it worked fine but now will not work. When I go to sign in it says you have been signed out of skype please sign into an xbox account to use skype. It just gets stuck in a loop like this. I saw someone had a previous problem like this, I made sure my microsoft account is linked to skype which it is, which is linked to my xbox live profile. I can use skype fine from my laptop or phone but when I try to do xbox have this problem.

Well I already figured out the problem I had changed my microsoft password since last time I logged into skype I just had to remove my xbox profile and then re add it with new password.

  • Linksys EA4500 Strict NAT with Xbox One

    Hey all,
I just got a Xbox One and I use my wireless router (EA4500) for it. I've used it before on my Xbox 360 and I have had an open NAT but now all I have is strict.
I've done some searching on the web such as port fowarding and what not but no such luck. I was wondering if anyone can help me with my current problem?
    Thanks in advance!

Do you know if your router is getting a public IP Address from your ISP? If you are then just enabling UPNP should be enough. Keep in mind that if you have two xbox's then the first one to grab the ports will have open nat.
If you get a private IP Address from your ISP then strict nat is all you will get.
Please remember to Kudo those that help you.

  • Xbox One Fifa 14 now working on Infinity?

Fifa 13 and 14 were a mess with me on BT infinity. 55 m/b dowload and 15 m/b upload yet every P2P /online game i played just utter lagged. The easo.ea.com server was the bane of my life tracerouting it using my laptop always 120ms + whihc made it useless for gaming on fifa.
I am wondering if anyone who had similar problems has noticed any difference using the Xbox one and their dedicated Microsoft servers for each game. Im assuming the names/ip addresseses of the servers are different and are no longer using the easo.ea.com ones in california?
Any help or knowledge from Xbox One Fifa 14 players appreciated.
Also any other Xbox Obe games and how they work on BT infinity much appreciated

Well i bit the bullet and bought the xbox one and Fifa. The bad news is its exactly the same playing fifa 14 on XB1 as it was on 360 with regards to BT inifinity and awful routing to the games US servers. Averaging 140ms to the Fifa servers on my 55mb d/l infinity connection
Battlefield 4 and forza work absolutely fine all lag free yet I go on Fifa and BT still aint got their stuff together. watch out 1/4 of BT inifnity fifa 14 players you will continue to lag on Xbox one. Doesnt look like ea using the dedicated servers yet as im stil connecting to easo.ea.com when playing fifa

  • Xbox One vs airport express

    Hi,
My Xbox One and my airport express are 28 feet away and in my basement (there's no wall between them). The problem is the connection. My Xbox get
around 78% of force by the airport. Is it normal?
p.s we have 4 iPhones 5, 3 iPads and my Xbox on this airport
    Thanks for your help
    St-Denzz

The overall speed is what matters.. not the signal level.. and yes, a fair drop is expected.. the express are not wireless power houses.. they are very average..
Is the xbox capable of connecting to 5ghz..??
if not the speed of 2.4ghz on the express is pretty poor.. but you still will more than likely get enough to play games online etc.

  • Xbox one moderate NAT on Homehub 5

Hi, got a shiney new Homehub 5 yesterday, but when I connected my Xbox One it says the NAT is moderate.
Ive looked online, but theres nothing that relates to my issue. I tried some advice that related to the Homehub 3, set the 'always use this IP address' to yes and it didnt help.
Anybody got any pointers, as Im bad enough at COD without being limited lol.
    Homehub 5
Xbox one with a wired connection
    Cheers, Craig
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I've just had a home hub 5 today and currently have an open NAT in both the xbox one dashboard and call of duty Ghosts.
To do this I only had to do a few things.
First of all open internet explorer in the xbox one and make sure you have already gone through smart settup and turned off parental controls.
Afterwards put the xbox in energy saving mode and switch it off.
Next open a web browser on your PC.
First go into the hub settings by typing bthomehub.home in the address bar. If that doesn't work then try typing 192.168.1.254.
Click advanced settings. Type in password if asked then click go to advanced settings.
    Click 'Home Network'
Then find the xbox one in the network diagram. By default it should be listed as Xbox-SystemOS
Where it says always use this IP address click 'Yes' then click Apply.
Next Click the Firewall tab then click port forwarding.
    Click 'Manage games and applications'
Click 'Add new game or application'
Where it says game or application name just type COD XB1
Where it says Copy an existing game or application click 'No'
Where it says protocol leave as 'Any'
In the port range setting type 3075 - 3075
leave translate to blank then click add
    Click apply then OK.
Go back to main port forwarding screen then where it says Game or application click the arrow in the drop down box and select COD XB1. In the device box select XBox- SystemOS.
Then click add then click Apply.
Switch xbox back on and try testing multiplayer connection again after testing press and hold both triggers and bumper buttons at the same time. this should open the nat on dashboard.
Also try cod and you should now have an open NAT.

  • Airport Utility/Airport 6th Generation + Xbox One LIVE

Here I am going to show how to configure your Airport device in order to use you Xbox One and have the NAT open, so you can have the best connection to your peers and have the advantage over your opponents.
    1. Open the Airport Utility app, choose your airport device to be configured. Click on "edit".
    2. Now, on your Xbox One console, find out what is its IP address and MAC address (there are two MAC address listed in the configurations Wired and Wireless, make sure to use the one that describes the way you are connected to the router). To do so, on your Xbox One console go to settings, network, and advanced settings.
    3.  Now back to your Computer. On the Airport Utility app, go to the Network tab. Here you are going to create a DHCP reservation for your Xbox One. Click on the + sign under DHCP reservations, and add the information you acquired from your Xbox One console earlier and save.
    Example: (picture A).
    4. Now you are going to configure the port settings, which allow a much better connection to Xbox LIVE servers. Click on the + sign under Port settings and type as the picture below (picture B) will show and save. NOTE: Remember that the Private IP Address should be your Xbox One's IP address. NOTE: Xbox One requires UDP 500 and 4500 which you will need to input if and only if you have iCloud turned off, otherwise it will not allow you to input them.
    5. Click on "Network Options" and follow the picture (picture C) below and save.
    6. Click update, and restart you Xbox One console
    You are all done.
    A)
    B)
    C)

    Launch Apple Airport Utility
Choose Your Apple Airport Router and select Edit
Choose the "Network" tab and in DHCP Reservations use the + icon to add the Xbox One
You can get your Xbox Ones IP and Mac ID address:

  • Unable to Connect to Xbox Live on Xbox One due to ...

I have been on the phone for a few hours this afternoon trying to get this sorted and the conclusion of my last call to BT was that I needed to register on a tech experts website? Put simply, I need to open a list of seven ports that are listed here:
    http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/networking/network-ports-used-xbox-live
in ordder to be able to connect to Xbox Live with my Xbox One, this is an issue I have had since upgrading to infinity.
Can somebody do it for me, I have the IP address of my Xbox One, or can somebosy point me in the right direction?
It seems to be taking a very long time to get sorted.
    Thanks in advance.

    Think I can help here.
First of all I assume that you have disabled UPNP on the hub?  If you havent yet then you have two choices:
You can disconnect the Xbox One and 360 from the network, perform a full factory reset of the hub and then immediately disable UPNP before doing anything else, or..
Disable UPNP and wait a good few hours (I'm talking overnight here) before reconnecting the XBox One and 360 and trying again.
When UPNP is enabled and the XBoxes are using the network it will write rules on the fly to the NAT table, you probably won't be able to apply port forwarding rules to a device for those ports because the Hub can see that they're already in the NAT table.  They will eventually expire but this can take some time.  When you disable UPNP, these rules don't seem to be removed as you might expect.
Next, you definitely don't need to forward ports 80 or 53, these are allowed by the hub automatically and traffic for each will be correctly forwarded to whatever device by the hub.  You shouldn't need to open 88 either.
You have an XB One and a 360 and they both can't share the same port, that being 3074.  However, if the 360 is using 3074 you can forward 3076 to the XB One instead, or vice versa.
When you've applied all of your port forwarding rules run the XBox network test repeatedly until it gives you an open NAT, a maximum of six times should do it, and you may want to do this every time you turn on an XBox.  I've previously posted about why I think you have to do this sometimes with the BT Home Hubs.
If you're still not getting an Open Nat, turn off the XBox and unplug any powerline adapters on its chain for 5 minutes, then reconnect the adapters in sequence from the hub and try again.

  • Xbox one

ive been looking into the xbox one and ive seen allot i like. i like how it looks and how much it has come from the 360, but i got many questions. what are all the things like the 8 core processor, iam not a system guru or any of the internet connection
stuff. please clariffy. and one other thing. i really really rreally " i cant say enough" but when i buy a new system i want the system to be able to play old games from the system before"as in the 360"  for instance i bought gears
of war 3 stuff dlc and i wont be able to use it in xbox one. i bought the expensive stuff rams shadow.  all i ask is you guys make 360 games playable on the xbox one. if you do that i will be the first buyer of the xbox one.  also congrats on the
    xbox.

I thought there was a Microsoft user forum dedicated to the Xbox gaming system, but I cannot find one.  However, if you do a search in Google or Bing using the keywords Xbox user forum, I think you will find a number of user forums available to you.
    Hope this helps.
