XBRL Reporting

I want to load XBRL taxonomy into Oracle GL.
I visited http://www.xbrl.org/FRTApproved/ --> XBRL US GAAP Taxonomy 2009
But don't know which files to download for US GAAP taxonomy.
Can any one tell me which files I should download which can be loaded into Oracle GL?
Any help is appreciated.

Yes I checked that link.
Under "Taxonomy schema file" there are 4 .xsd files.

Can anyone pls help me in developing Reports in Hyperion Financial Reporting Using XBRL?

I believe that you 'll need to use the UK IFRS Taxonomy if you need to create reports according to UK GAAP.
Consider that the IFRS Taxonomy is a global taxonomy. The UK made its own extension from the IFRS Taxonomy.
Please check at: [http://www.ifrs.org/XBRL/Resources/XBRL+Illustrative+examples.htm] for some IFRS reports example.
As far as i know the only institution requiring to fill in XBRL is the HRMC, so you better check the HRMC Taxonomy and consider too that HRMC will request XBRL reports using Inline XBRL.

Hi, does Oracle XBRL Extension allow us to generate a nicely formatted XBRL report from a XBRL instance file (extension xbrl) out of the box without any external software?

Probably only doable by building your own PL/SQL code based on the XBRL metadata

Using XBRL to Submit Balance Sheet

Hi guys,
I really need your help on the XBRL topic. We need to implement XBRL reporting in order to submit Balance Sheet to the tax authorities and we not getting much help (actually not getting help at all) from our SAP consultants.
I have done some reasearch on possible SAP tools that can be used to generate XBRL file and send it to the tax authorities.
One is the function called FIN_ACC_XBRL, which is available in ECC 6 and another Disclosure Management?
Could you please explain me the difference as from my understanding they are both doing the same thing.

For a very simple balance sheet just listing the balance sheet accounts and their balances for a fiscal year run t-code S_ALR_87012277. Remember to choose from the dynamic selection, Balance sheet account type = X (yes).This report will not have any grouping of accounts to various categories such as Fixed asset, current assets etc.
For a more refined balance sheet, create a Financial statement version from IMG and then use that FS version to run the report S_ALR_87012284.

XBRL Extension - loading/deleting instance?

I have the XBRL Extension installed on Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production.
I loaded a taxonomy (with loadSchema and loadLinkbase procedures) and several instances (with loadInstance procedure) without any problems. I can also delete an instance, but if I want to reload that instance, or another instance, using the same location I get:

What I did wrong? Is it a bug? I have the same issue if I execute DBMS_ORAXBRL.deleteFolder('/test') instead of deleteInstance. No problems if I change the location to '/test/istance2.xbrl' or similar...
Furthermore, is it possible to update an instance without deleting it before?

For the last question, I found that the guide (APIs &#x2013; XBRL Extension to Oracle XML DB) says:
loadInstance: Load one instance document into the XBRL repository. If the document is present in the repository, replace it.
but this sentence is not reported in the detailed API.
I tried to execute the loadInstance procedure specifying the same instanceLoc but I get another error:
ORA-20026: Load instance failed: ORA-31003: Parent "/test/" already contains child entry "instance1.xbrl"
ORA-06512: at "XBRLSYS.DBMS_ORAXBRL", line 1518

Methods defined in an Interface will be implemented by 'Implementing Classes'.
Have a look at java docs to findout these implementing classes.
For example Enumeration's hasMoreElements() and nextElement() are implemented in StringTokenizer class.

Cannot export XBRl instant document

Hello,
I am using financial reporting studio and trying to create a XBRL instant document. I followed every step in the FR admin guide. First, I downloaded the taxonomy , created XBRL context, unit and assigned XBRL line item to rows. When all procedures are done, I exported it as a XBRL instant document. Every step was done as careful as possible, but what I cannot figure out is, an error message as following would always pop out in the end---

The original message was appeared in Mandarin, translated into English will be: This cannot be created into an instant document. If the file is not missing any data, it is an error.

Hello Gurus,
I have developed a BI report with more number of parameters.
Case 1:
When i run my report , I am able to see data for particular condition but one column doesn't show any thing. All the rows in the column are blank.
Case 2
I tried to put the blank column as parameter, The Program works with out displaying that column data.
I am not sure where it is going wrong. I tried running the code in toad and i am able to see the data.
I have checked the code, Parameter description, length, Template and data definition.
Please help.

For that column did u changed any alias name in the query...
check ur template once by loading the xml data...
check that column form field that matches with the xml tag or not..
