Xcelsius Pass Key Problems

I just bought a new copy of Xcelsius and loaded it. The passkey that I received with the product does not work. When I enter the passkey I get the message that "The Passkey You Entered Is Not Valid".
I wrote to the following email:

I received the following reply:
Hi Kerry,
I have tested this key and it is a valid key for Xcelsius Engage. The zerou2019s are numbers, not letters. I would recommend that you copy and paste the key into a text document which you can access from your Xcesius machine and then paste it into your license manager.
Otherwise you can check the forums to see whether it could be a technical problem

I am not sure what my options are at this point. The program simply does not work. The company tells me that the passkey is valid. Am I out $1,000 at this point?

Please try the below steps:
1. Click on Start --> Run -> Type regedit
2.This would open the registry editor. Click on File ->Export and take a back up of the registry.
3. Expan the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ->SOFTWARE -> Business Objects -> Right click on Crystal Xcelsius -> Permissions.
4. It would open the editor for Permissions for Crystal Xcelsius Designer. Here select your user name and allow Full Control for it. Click on Ok.
5. Close registry editor, reboot your computer and try opening Xcelsius.

I switched ISP a few days ago and had problems with airplay since. After restarting and reinstalling and updating, re entering pass keys for new wi fi on everything, Apple TV shows: Your Apple TV is connected to your wi fi network but cannot connect to the Internet. Ipad3 and iPod touch 3G have no airplay icon or get one briefly then it disappears again. Same with itunes on windows laptop.
Can anyone help?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

Pass Key date from Sender to Receiver Query

Hi,
We have a requirement to pass key date from the sender query to receiver query.
In our sender query we derive the key date based on the calendar month value entered by the user on the variable screen and this is used to determine the hierarchy structure to be used for report.
The user have the option to drill down to detailed query (using RRI) from the context menu option. We would like to use the same key date in the drill down query as the sender query. The drill down query does not have any variable selection.
In RRI settings I can not see the way to pass on the key date.
Any help is appreciated.

Yes, we do not have variables in the receiver query as we expect the settings in RSBBS to pass the filter values to the receiver query and which is being done consistently.
The problem is that we do not have any option to pass key date. If required we can add a customer exit variable but how will it work if the user does not want to enter the variable values for the drill down report.

Follow up to my Luma Key problem

Hi again,
Tom has answered to my Luma Key problem of bad quality by recomending me to put the oval form under my clip instead from above, and it worked verz well.
But now I have another problem, I want now my oval to cross disolve to have the full scene that is now under to come gradually fully on screen. I have a cross disolve at the begining and at the end of the oval. Its fine for the oval to come gradually from full black screen to an oval with behind the 2nd scene, but when it shall starts to disolve, nothing happens. I also try with the pen, adding points and then pulling down in order to have the oval clip gradually dissolving, but nothing works ! Any clue ?

One way to do this is:
- Oval on V1
- Clip1 on V2 with Composite Mode > Travel Matte Luma
- Clip1 also on V3. Change it's opacity so it is 0 until the required number of frames before the end of the Oval. Then increase it's opacity to 100 at the end of the Oval.
There might be a more efficient way to do this.

If itunes is comming up and saying it can't read the device because it's locked with a passcode, you may have to put your device into recovery mode first.
To put your device in recovery mode: (Following these steps will erase your device and reset everything to factory defaults)
1) press and hold the power button until you see the slide to power off option
2) swipe to power off
3) Press and hold the home button while the device is off and connect it to your computer. Continue holding the home button until you see a graphic with the iTunes logo with a picture of a USB cable below it.
4) iTunes should give you a message that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click ok and then select Restore iPhone. iTunes will download a fresh copy of iOS and then wipe the device and restore it. Depending on the speed of your computer's internet connection this may take a while. Just leave the iphone connected to your computer until it's finished.
If itunes is not detecting it at all or is Not giving you the message that the phone is locked with a passcode, you may end up having to reinstall itunes. This seems to be a fairly common problem after the most recent itunes update (11.1.5)
If this is the case and you happen to be running a windows based computer you will have to uninstall itunes in this order from your programs and features option in control panel:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Then download and reinstall itunes from itunes.com try putting your device into recovery mode again and restore.

I have just tried to pair my iPhone 5 with my Dell Laptop over Bluetooth (simply to see if I can). My laptop recognized the iPhone, but still my phone failed to pair. Is this a built thing designed to annoy me?

There is nothing in the iPad's BT stack that would make pairing these two devices useful. As is, the iPad can pair with BT audio devices and BT keyboards. To do anything beyond that would require a 3rd party app; such as an app that lets you pass photos or other types of files between an iPad and another device.

'Keys' problem when trying to re install 10.2 on Power Mac G4

Have had my Power Mac G4 wiped clean prior to selling and am now trying to reinstall 10.2.
Install disc one reached the end of its loading process and then froze.
Install disc two did not respond when loaded.
Put install disc one back in while holding down 'C' key. Started to install but soon stopped.
Went to Disc First Aid > verify disc > 'keys out of order HD need repairing'.
Clicked 'repair disc' and indicated 'repair complete'.
Returned to 'verify disc' > HD needs repairing, key length too short.
Repaired once more, keys still out of order.
Removed Install disc one and loaded Disc Warrior.
Speed inhibited by malfunction stage 5 when rebuilding directory.
So with no full operating system loaded, how do we progress?

"Keys problems" are directory issues which, if not repairable by Disk Utility need a third party package like Tech Tool Pro, DriveGenius, or Disk Warrior. However, in some cases the disk hardware may be damaged or the HDD may have failed and unable to hold the format. When in DU check the SMART status. Even if the SMART Status is Verified and the HDD is more than 3 years old you should consider replacement.

But i really wonder how you did that. did you always switch between design view and preview view, then change the key position for 2px then switch back, to align the four letters? because i imagine that can get really frustrating, if you have a logo consisting of 58 parts instead of 4!:)

Replication for Data on DEV and QA - bad idea - primary key problem now

I goofed. I tried to use replication to keep the data on my dev machine up to date with the live server. Now when I try to work on the database, adding new stuff, it fails. It says there is a primary key problem every time I try to add
a new item to a table with my program. I should have realized this would happen! Now, even though I've removed the replication, I'm having the problem. Can anyone help me get my database functional again :/ Or should I resort to a database

So you have an IDENTITY column in your table? Run a
DBCC CHECKIDENT (Transact-SQL) command with option RESEED to fix the current identity value to see if it works then.

Escape key problems.

My escape key has been freaking out on me lately. It seems to randomly decide to press itself down very rapidly, and it continues to do so until I press the key myself, fairly hard. The key isn't jammed or anything. Is there anything I can do to fix this, short of paying a rediculous price to get a new keyboard. This escape key problem makes even the most simple action a chore.
By the way, I'm using a Lenovo 3000 n100.

Yes, they told me they didn't do any laptop work. And I sent it in when it was still under warenty, asking them to look at both my non-working USB drives (that were causing a odd power problem and causin the computer to not start), and my weird escape key. They seemed to of forgotten the escape key, and just looked at the USB drives. It's not under warenty any more, and I don't want to send it back to them again, after the ordeal I had to go through last time.

Hi - my 3-month old 7373 has suddenly developed key problems - for example, the "back" key doesn't work at all, and the * key brings up the volume control! This started without me doing anything unpleasant to the phone - any suggestions?
