Xcelsius- Pb when sending by Power Point

Hi all,
I used to work with Xcelsius many times. And for the first time, something is weird with the power point presentation.
When I send the file to Power point, it creates me a PPT that I can work with my computer.
But I sent it to some of my coworkers and this message appears :'Some control on this presentation can't be activated.They might not be registered on this computer".
So, they are not able to use it.
How can I fix that please?

Probably the version of Flash player installed in the worksation is old.... xCelsius Engage requires Flash version 9 to work.
Normally Adobe Flash Version 8 is more broadlly installed in the market...
It might be required to un-install the old version to install the new Adobe Flash player version

That issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Error message when exporting to Power Point

Hi,
I'm trying to export my Keynote to Power Point. This is a project that originated in Power Point and I jazzed up with Keynote. But when I export the progress bar almost finishes then I get a message saying, "Error: Out of Memory". Any ideas of what my issue is?
G5 Mac OS X (10.4.9) 1GB RAM

I built a completely new (I thought) theme using a .jpg figure for background, and a Keynote selected white foreground. Spent hours getting the title and body boxes formatted exactly as before. (Every time I select a new theme, I loose the text framing & formatting.)
This did not export. Even 1 blank slide did not export.
Other difference: I am using a 540 px by 720 px slide size. I don't know how I wound up there.
This is getting ridiculous. My client must have .ppt files. I can export them as .png slides, then paste each one into .ppt slides (blank). All capability of PowerPoint is gone. A rather sorry workaround.
This was all done with Keynote 2.0.2. I sure hope Keynote 3.0 exports better than this.

Hi!
I don't have Office XP. But why you don't try to use application/octet-stream instead of vnd.ms-powerpoint? It should work with it.

Unable to send canvas to Power Point

I'm not a power user. I just acquired Xcelcius present for some guages graphics to liven up my power point presenations. When I click the "Send to Power Point" button it sends smoething, but it is blank and I end up doing a workaround - saving the screenshot and cropping, etc. - it looks bad. It sends the canvas to Word and Adobe fine. Can someone please help. I've spent about 10 hours readings blogs and wikis and calling SAP and have gotten nowhere. I've tried downloading the patches several times and they always crash and tell me to re-load the entire program, which I've done several times and gotten nowhere. I'm a bit frustrated - major understatement there. Thanks.

Think you spent lot of time ,Could have read the Xcelsius user guide You could have completed it...Thatz ok..
Try with Xcelsius 2008 sp3.2 .Xcelsius Present is not a good tool to pratice on...
I dont think you will find this sort of failures in here..

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

Importing Power Point without click boxes

When I import Power Point, I don't want click boxes to come
along because I just have to remove them all later. That requires a
lot of time when your power point is really huge. Is there any way
to import without the click boxes so the slides will transition
smoothly without my havign to do anything?

When you create a project based on PowerPoint, note the
screen you see. Look closely near the bottom of the dialog. See
that drop-down choice labeled "Advance slide"? Click it and change
it from "On mouse click" to "Automatically".

I just updated my OS to Leopard and know Power Point from my office suite is opening, or tries to after a reboot and hangs when you try to open it.

I just updated my Mac Book Pro to leopard 10.6.8, and now Power Point from my office suite angs, and when I start up or re boot the laptop Power Point automatically opens and then just hangs, the only way to close is to force close.
Does any one know of any similar issues.

When I connect my MacBook Air to iPads through a powered USB hub the power cord for the hub explodes and trips the fuse on the building. I've tried different iPads, cords, power points to no avail.

When I connect my mac air to some iPads through a powered USB hub for VPP/Configurator, the power point for the hub blows out (tripping the fuse in the building). I've tried different iPads, cords, power points and of course hubs. Also the computer has a habit of shutting down when any type of USB device is removed from it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've done some experimenting, and this is what I've found out:
1) The problem persists when I reformatted the USB HDD devices to ExFAT, so the problem apparently wasn't due to NTFS for Mac OS X by Paragon.
2) The problem persists even when BackBlaze is paused, so I don't think that it's due to BackBlaze.
3) The internet cuts out as soon as data begins transferring either to or from a USB HDD device and won't reconnected until I eject and unplug the device.
4) The problem affects data transfers through either USB port.

How to export keynote to power point when sharing with other people

I had to manipulate a master's of someone else on keynote, record my slides and then post it to a discussion board, it kept removing my recording when I exported it to power point for presentation. I could not do it and I tried everything renaming it with no characters. Help!!!

PowerPoint does not support recorded presentations when exporting the recording is removed.
You will need to use a Keynote presentation without the recorded timings or usePowerPoint, Open Office or Libra Office to author a presentation with individual timings on each slide.

Keynote not responding when trying to open Power Point downloads

I'm downloading power point presentations from my university website and trying to open them with Keynote. It starts to open it up then just stops about a third of the way through the progress bar. The activity monitor says that keynote is not responding. I tried restarting my MBP, but did not work, keynote seems to be working fine when I start it on its own, any help appreciated.

At first I confess that I also had trouble opening the files I had in Power Point. One of them even have 1500 slides. But in Power Point opens quickly, because most are text.
My solution: I opened the file in PowerPoint 2008 and saved it as "pptx". This is the latest version of pp. After I opened the keynote. The first time it takes to open and then gives some errors. It's just you solve, the error sources and images and save to "key" (keynote).
I think it is. At least for me it worked.
