Xcelsius suddenly only allows chart to call data from first excel worksheet

Hi
I'm using Xcelsius 2008 Engage with SP1 FP3 installed.
I have never had this problem before, but in the last week, Xcelsius won't allow a chart to call data from any worksheet in the excel file other than the first worksheet. If I reorder the worksheets in the excel file, i can access a different worksheet, but only the one that is saved as the first worksheet (left most tab).
In dashboards i have already created, i can't change the data range of a chart that's already calling data from a worksheet unless i select the first worksheet.
Could this be an automatic update from microsoft? Has anyone else experienced this and worked out how to overcome it? It is frustrating to keep moving the worksheet to the front and reimporting the data everytime i want to make a change that isn't in the first excel worksheet.

As far as I remember it's not possible. Thus, find attached VI and use it to convert line/column to excel cell format. It's working if you are not using more than 26 columns (i.e. column AA, AB, ... if this is the case you have to improve it a little)

Is it possible to create a form that allows users to import data from an excel spreadsheet

I have not been able to start my reading on scripting or other livecycle features to be able to try to figure this out but I was wondering if anyone else had ever created a form with this feature or had any ideas of how it would be possible. Our company currently uses and excel form that would have a variable number of rows of data for each time it is filled out and we would be replacing it with an adobe form. I would like to know if the users, who will be using the new adobe form in adobe reader, could have the capability to imort the lines from the previous excel form into the new adobe version.

You can set up a data connection with an Excel spreadsheet. However for the data connection to work for users with Reader, you would need to Reader Enable the form with the LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES2.5 (server component). See here for summary: http://assure.ly/etkFNU.
However if you are just trying to get the existing data into the form, you should have a look at some of Stefan Cameron's posts: http://forms.stefcameron.com/ (try a search). You can start a new form using the wizzard and select import from Excel. This will allow you to paste from your spreadsheet to a new form. This should help set up the data structure/schema, which you can then replicate in a new form. I haven't done this before, but it should be possible.

Im pretty sure what you are looking at is Set up Assistant where it shows different languages on the slider. If I am right then just slide to unlock and follow the prompts to choose your language, country etc.

You might want to look at the POI project (an open source Jakarta sub-project) that allows you to create/modify/read excel files via Java code. That might be more flexible and easier than what you're currently trying to do.

GUI_UPLOAD to read data from an Excel File

Hi Folks,
I'm using FM GUI_UPLOAD to read data from an Excel File. But all I see in the table returned is 1 row with garbage values (special chacaters). Excel Workbook has proper data in the sheet, but its not getting uploaded properly. Sy-subrc is 0.
What could be the reason?

Extracting data from Microsoft Excel spreadsheet

Hi,
I am currently developing an application that requires to extract data from Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Is that possible to archieve it?
If it is possible,your precious guidience will be much appreciated.

There are several approaches.
1) Export the data from the Excell in "CSV" format, which is simple enough to read as an ordinary text file.
2) Use the open source POI package, which reads and writes XSL files (amongst other popular formats).
3) Use the JDBC/ODBC bridge and the Windows ODBC driver which allows and Excell file to be treated as a database. (More details in above reference).
4) Use another open source package to connect to Excell via the COM+ interface, and access data therein.
Personally I favour the POI package.

Uploading data from an excel to internal table.

Hi All,
I have a small problem when uploading data from an excel sheet to internal table using the function "GUI_UPLOAD".
Some garbage value is getting stored in the internal table after the upload. If i change the format of the file to ".txt" then its working fine. Pls help me out to upload the data frm Excel to Internal Table.

            I have done an application on how to export the table data into an Excel .
Now i want to get the data from an Excel file which is located in server and display that data which is in excel in a View for example a Sample view in Webdynpro .
In Sample view i took a uielement textview to display the data ....

How to put the data from one excel sheet in another excel sheet

hi ,
I want put the data from one excel sheet in another excel sheet in seq. order Eg: I have one excel sheet in which i have 3 col. Name , Sno. , Email along with data .I want to put data from this sheet to another excel sheet in the following orders of col. Sno,Name, Email .
While loading data in another sheet , i have to perform validation like char field should n't contain numeric values and vice versa .

Well, you can issue separate queries with the ordering you need from each tab in the spreadhseet. You can open an ODBC connection from a VBA macro, select a sheet, run a query, select another sheet and run another query. As for the validation, you can do this in Oracle via stored procedures or again in VBA code.
