XCM Settings transport

Hi Gurus,
I haven't found anything about transport of XCM setting from an environment to antoher.
Is this possible?
can you help?
thanks

Hi,
Yes you can transport the XCM settings.
In the first node of XCM settings you find the options to download XCM Configurations. You have to download two fiels and can be uploaded to other environment at the same place in EDIT mode.

  • XCM Settings for IPC 6.0 to work with B2B ERP 6.0 E-commerce application

    Hi All,
We are currently implementing B2B ERP (ECC 6.0) E-commerce using IPC 6.0 for the sales pricing and configuration needs.
To make IPC work with B2B E-commerce application I need to do the necessary XCM settings for IPC. I launched the following URL to do the XCM settings for IPC.  http://<hostname>:<portnumber>/ipc/admin/xcm/init.do    I created a JCO connection with ECC system using the menupath Components->Customer->JCO and adding values to required fields such as Base Configuration (value: server_connect) , Server, Client, Message Server, Userid and Password.  I saved the configuration to create the necessary JCO connection with the ECC system. I executed the "Run Test" option and found the test to be successful.
To complete the Application Specific settings in XCM, I followed the menupath  'Application Configurations->SAP->erp' to create a new customer configuration. In the field JCODATA of the new configuration I added the JCO component name that was created in the previous step. I made this as the default configuration and saved it. The new configuration shows up under the sub-node Application Configurations->Customer-> 'New Configuration Name'.
Please let me know do I need to do any other XCM settings for IPC? Is there anything missing or need to be rectified? How I can test and make sure that IPC is connected to ECC and ERP E-commerce application and the connection is working fine. Please answer in detail.
    Thanks in advance.
    --R D

    Hi,
    Go to B2B XCM application : http://host:port/zb2b/admin/index.jsp
select "Extended Configuration Management (XCM) Administration"
then select your application configuration from the "Customer" node.
    Click on the "Display" button.
then maintain "ipcdata" parameter as what you have maintained in the IPC application.
    Thanks,
    Dinesh.

  • Reset / Flush XCM Settings

    Hello,
I have a problem using the XCM in Biller Direct. After I tried to append a new customer specific parameter to the XCM - the XCM seems to be corrupted. Since then I am unable to call the Admin Page or /admin/xcm/init.do directly.
Using NW 2004 was easier to handle. There was just a global directory which holds the XCM settings, but it seems that NW 2004s has changed. The former directory is now only used to cache some encrypted XCM settings. I expect, that the settings are stored now somewhere in a Database?!
I found no way to flush the XCM settings, which are probably corrupted. Does anyone know how I can do this?
Furthermore it would be fantastic if someone has a documentation how I can extend the standard XCM settings by some own parameters.
    Cheers

    Hi,
thank you for your offer, but I found the issue.
There was a bug in the XCM and it was fixed by applying a patched version. I am not able to extend the XCM by customer parameters.
Just for your information. The documentation does not tell the same, what the code behind is going to do! Biller Direct is using the XCM not correctly and hence brings up some strange behaviours like unecessary restarts and just only one working scenario at the same time! It would be neccessary to make a refactoring, so that you really can use the whole functionaly of the XCM.

  • XCM Settings for CRM ISA 4.0 SP10

    Hi !
We are currently upgrading a CRM 4.0 ISA application from SP5 to SP10. The XCM settings for the vanilla 'b2c' webshop has been completed and the vanilla 'b2c' application  has been extended to a new b2c application using the old extended application files with the new 'buildtool'. However, when we try to run the extended b2c project, after successfully deploying the new .ear file, we get an error that the XCM settings couldn't be found. The vanilla 'b2c' application runs perfectly though.
Could anyone with experience in CRM 4.0 ISA application SP10 list any unique steps to get the extended XCM data for the extended application correctly in the 'web.xml' file ?
    Cheers,
    Ashok.

    Hi Amit,
The config path for "%sys.global.dir%/xcm/${com.sap.dc_name}" should normally point to the standard XCM settings and ideally it should be outside the folder structure of the application (ie) not within either <Inst-Dir>:\usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\crm.b2c\servlet_jsp\b2c\root\WEB-INF
or <Inst-Dir>:\usr\sap\SID\SYS\global\xcm\crm.b2c. Prior to CRM ISA 4.0 SP6, context parameters would determine this path during each deployment. This would ensure that an extended application would always point back to the standard XCM settings rather than having to maintain multiple XCM settings for each extended application. The reply from SAP OSS suggests that post CRM ISA 4.0 SP6, XCM settings would have to be maintained for each extended application (something that SAP supports) or the value of the config path of "%sys.global.dir%/xcm/${com.sap.dc_name}" should be changed individually for each extended application using the visual administrator to point to the standard XCM settings (something that SAP suggests as a work around but doesn't support).
Again, this problem is mainly caused by the fact that the context parameter of the XCM settings during deployment of any application has been removed from the SDM post CRM ISA 4.0 SP5. Removal of this context parameter from the SDM means that one would have to adopt either approach as suggested by SAP as above.
I hope this helps others out there who are migrating from a pre CRM ISA 4.0 SP6 to a post CRM ISA 4.0 SP6.
    Cheers,
    Ashok.

  • Transport XCM settings

    Hi Experts,
Please tell me how to transport XCM configuration settings from one server to other (DEV --> QUAL --> PROD). Like we have transport request system in other SAP functionalities, do we have something of this sort in XCM also?
    Thanks
    Varun

    Hello Varun,
Usually it is created (input) or copied in each environment for a couple of simple reasons.
The backend system (host name, system #, client, user id and password of Jco user) properties are different in different landscape.
The XCM files default location is same in all the environments. So, it is usually copied from one environment to the other and the required information is changed ( jco component and the default Customer configuration )

after i we transported to testing server these are not transported all other are transported.
can you plz explain on this. and give me solution.

    Hi,
These parameters are not included automatically in transport; you have to include them manually via 0KEP and 0KEQ transactions.

  • Is Broadcasting Settings Transportable?

    Hello friends,
I am working on Broadcasting Information from SAP Netweaver Enterprise Portal.
I am working in BW DEVELOPMENT SERVER and i have created broadcasting settings for a query and i have successfully broadcasted the reports to different users.
My question is i want to do it in BW PRODUCTION SERVER .I know that  we can transport queries or workbooks from DEVELOPMENT SERVER TO QUALITY AND FROM THEIR TO BW PRODUCTION SERVER.
We will do all the Broadcasting settings for a query in BW DEVELOPMENT SERVER.Is it possible to transport BROADCASTING SETTINGS from BW DEVELOPMENT SERVER TO BW PRODUCTION SERVER?
                      If so,how to transport?
Shall we directly do all the settings in BW PRODUCTION SERVER instead of transporting it from DEVELOPMENT TO PRODUCTION?
Please, send me the relevant answer. It's very urgent.
    Thanks
    Mohan chand Reddy A

    Hi,
    Transporting Broadcast Settings
To make the broadcast settings available in various BI systems, transport them.
If the transport system is activated, a dialog box for specifying a transport request appears when you save the broadcast settings. Enter the required transport request.
If a fixed standard BEx transport request is specified, the broadcast settings are automatically written to this request and the transport request dialog box is not displayed.
The technical name of the object type (TLOGO) for broadcast settings in transport requests is BRSE.
    Thanks

  • Cache Mode Settings Transport

    Hello,
We are planning to implement the new BLOB/Cluster Enhanced Cache Mode setting.  I plan to use the Query Mass Maintenance feature of RSRT to change the setting for all existing queries of an infoprovider.  My question is will this action alone generate a transport?  If so what objects are in the transport?  Will the transport grab all the infoprovider queries?
    Thanks,
    TMS

    Hello,
No. A transport will not be generated, all the necessary information it is as following:
As per note: 1026944 - New cache mode for BI 7.0 without directory.
Go to SE16 -> run report/table RSADMIN and verify if the data is in there.
u201CThat you can benefit from the new cache mode you have to activate it
for all your queries. Go to RSRT -> enter query -> properties ->
cache mode: 5 BLOB/Cluster Enhanced should be selected.
Or via mass maintenance (transaction RSRT -> menu "Environment" -> "Mass
    Maintenance")u201D

  • BOB shop XCM and shop admin settings document

    Hi
We need to configure the BOB shop. I know that XCM settings link for b2b and BOB is same.
    https://<server>:<port>/b2b/admin/xcm/init.do
In shop admin, we create shop for b2b business scenario: http://server.domain:port/shopadmin/shopadmin/init.do
Kindly share any help document or SAP note for XCM configuring of BOB shop for CRM system. Also kindly share what link can be used to access the BOB shop, as we have below link for
    https://<server>:<port>/b2b/b2b/init.do
Also i have one doubt, on one XCM Url, can we maintain xcm settings for both B2B and BOB?
we have a requirement of creating 4 web shops. 2 B2B and 2BOB. Do we have to maintain different server and port for each webshop?
    Kindly help!
    Thanks!

we have a requirement of creating 4 web shops. 2 B2B and 2BOB. Do we have to maintain different server and port for each webshop?
Maintain a scenario each for b2b and  bob. Then maintain the appropriate shops - 4 of them. Be sure that the shop basetype are appropriately chosen.
With one custom application (my_b2b) you can execute all the four different combinations with the URL parameters - scenario.xcm and  shop
    1) <server>:host/my_b2b/init.do?scenario.xcm=my_b2b&shop=b2bshop1
    2) <server>:host/my_b2b/init.do?scenario.xcm=my_b2b&shop=b2bshop2
    3) <server>:host/my_b2b/init.do?scenario.xcm=my_bob&shop=bobshop1
    4) <server>:host/my_b2b/init.do?scenario.xcm=my_bob&shop=bobshop2
You can work diligently with your systems group to create URL / reverse proxies / forwards for the external customers so that they don't explicitly give the URL parameters.

  • ISA: download settings shopadmin

    Hi,
We have set-up an ISA environment succesfully (vs 5.0, with R/3 backend). However, now we have to move from one server to another. We want to download all the settings we did in the shopadmin, and upload them on the new server. Please note it's not the XCM settings (those we can download), but the configuration of the shopadmin.
Does anyone have experience with that?
    thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Wim Olieman

    Wim,
The shop data is stored in the CRm tables
CRMM_ISA_SHOP_H                Header Data for a Shop
    CRMM_ISA_SHOP_HT               Shop Descriptions
CRMM_MKT_SHOP_US               Table for Storing Shop<->PPR Item Relation
You can try to transport these entries.
I would recommend creating the entries in each system to avoid complications.
    Thank You,
    Vimal John

  • How to create transport request for business function activation?

    Hi Gurús,
I activated LOG_MM_MAA_1 business function in development (DEV) system:
    Component: SAP_APPL
    Release: 604
    Level: 0006
    SP: SAPKH60406
I want to transport the activation to quality (QAS) system.
In SFW5 transaction --> System Settings --> Transport only generated a workbench transport request with "Status Tables Switch Framework Client-Independent" (Object type = SF02, Object = A)
Is this the only object to transport?
Is the activation of business function should be direct in QAS system?
    Thank in advance
    Alonso Valenzuela

    > In SFW5 transaction --> System Settings --> Transport only generated a workbench transport request with "Status Tables Switch Framework Client-Independent" (Object type = SF02, Object = A)
    > Is this the only object to transport?
    Yes.
The "after import" method during the transport will activate the BF as it did in the original system.
    > Is the activation of business function should be direct in QAS system?
    No, transport it.

  • Transporting Authorization Object

    Hi All,
We are having two autherization objects. But we use only one in production. we noticed that the other object is also active in production. I checked in development and it is not active. So i need to capture it from development and transport to make the object inactive in production also. Can any one guide me out in this scenario.I checked in RSA1 Transport connection. But i couldnt find authorization objects there.I think we need to approach in another way.
Any suggestions will be more help full....

    Hello,
Assuming by inactive you mean the checking for particular infoproviders.
De-activate a checking for the selected infoproviders and press the Transport Hierarchy Authorizations, InfoProvider button in the bottom of the RSSM transaction. Hit cancel on the hierarchy auths screen and select the auth object for hwich you want the settings transported. In the transport requst, table entries for table RSSTOBJDIR should be visible.
Whenever an InfoProvider is activated for the first time (through transport or otherwise), it is automatically turned on for all auth objects to which it might be related.
You might want to enable auth check maintenance directly in the production system. Makes life easier.
    Cheers

    Hello Gurus,

Any change in BW Statistics can't be transported. You are right that these settings need to be maintained in each landscape.
