XCode App Store download and developer tools packages
So I have been installing the Developer tools since Mac OS X Tiger. They were always on the DVD and then once I became a member I could download the entire dmg from the developer website.
Now XCode is distributed from the AppStore. I had XCode 4.2 installed and once the update to XCode 4.3 was available I went to the AppStore to update it and everything seemed to be different. The XCode app is now just dumped into the Applications folder and it asked me to remove all instances of XCode 4.2.
So here is my question:
When I buy a new machine and want to install the Developer Tools (as I did with the previous versions) where can I get all the Developer tools? They don't seem to be installed with a developer dmg anymore. I can't get them in total from the AppStore? Can I get the same packaged tools as was on the older OS X DVD or the Developer site for the new XCode 4.3+ ?
How are the developer tools going to be distributed to us from now on? I know I must have missed something along the way, some email or notification.
Any explaination would be great.

All that 'stuf' is now either part of one bundle/app or available via prefs...or gone.

It is not recommended, once you start a download you should always let it complete the function. If you need to stop the download it may show the icon for the application even though you cancel it. It may or may not let you attempt to try to download the application a 2nd time.

How do I completely uninstall Xcode and Developer Tools?
**Sorry if this isn't the place to ask this, but I really didn't find a section dedicated to this, so I'm asking it here.**
I installed Xcode and the Mac developer tools from Apple's developer site page and I'm not going to use it (for the time being anyway). I dragged and dropped all of the files from the download into the trash and emptied it. Then, I went to Terminal, and typed in the following:
sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools –mode=all
It gave me a prompt to enter my password before continuing, entered my password, and then that was it! Question is, though, is this really it? Did I really get rid of Xcode and all of the developer stuff that came in the Mac Developer Tools download?The only thing that I could find in utilities that started with "X" was something called "X11". Also, I had Xcode 3.1.2 installed, and at first I tried typing this command in Terminal:
$ sudo <Xcode>/Library/uninstall-devtools --mode=all
I got this from the "About Xcode 3.1.2" document from Apple's developer site, but it wouldn't work. Then I tried the code that I posted in my first post, and I guess it worked. I actually entered the code
sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools –mode=all
a few times (for closure) and the same thing happened every time: password to continue and, that's it! So I guess it worked. I actually got that code from a blog after googling "how to uninstall xcode 3.1.2 and developer tools"! -
I have clicked in the App Store icon and when I have attempted to download there is an error message. Saying I need to connect to the UK store, not the US store, how do I do this?

I purchased Fifa13 from the App Store, downloaded it in my pc..,but when i am trying to install it in my ipad frpm the pc, i couldnt do it. The installation process stops after some time and the ipad shows some thing like "can sync..,failed to install fifa13"

You just resync your iPhone with iTunes on your laptop.
If you are logged with the same Apple ID on both devices it should be available to download from your phone:

She downloaded the game Breakaway from the App store yesterday and today when she opened the game it said "this game is not connected to game centers" and the screen went black/blue. I tried resetting without the power adapter and with the power adapter and nothing happens. She has only had the Itouch for 2 weeks.
I did try that numerous times and nothing happened. However, I did eventually get it to work. After trying to reset it numerous times and the screen still just staying frozen I logged into the Home Share portion on the Home computer and deleted the Bubble Birds game. Eventually the Itouch died and I was finally able to reset it by plugging it in and holding down the buttons. I doubt the deletion of the game helped, but since it seemed to be the cause, I went ahead and deleted it. Thank you for your reply.

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new Apple ID. -

Can i copy COD 4 mac app store download to disk and then install it on my other mac? I won,t be sharing with anyone else.
if you are connected with the same appleID on the other mac then you can just download it for free again in the app store
you can only buy an app 1 time they don't bind to the computer or ios device for that matter they bind to the appleID -
IPhone app store downloading problem
I have iPhone app store downloading problem (iOS 5). I could not download or update any software successfully from yesterday. Every app shows "waiting for download" but nothing happen for two days. It seems my app store does not connect to server. I use same account in my iPad, but it works normal. So, what happen to my iPhone? Please help me!

When I go to update my software using the app store download, it always asks for the previous user's ID, not mine (my IT guy at school's-I am a faculty with admin priviledges). I have signed in as me, have set the main preferences login user as me,and everywhere on the laptop I can use my apple ID except here. It always shows me a greyed out ID of my IT. How can I reset this to my ID? It doesn't give me an option to change the user ID, only a link to reset password. I reset it, but it did not change the problem. Can someone help me?
It's not an ID problem, it's an ownership problem.
When someone uses their personal Apple ID to buy and download content, the content is licensed to them and has their Apple ID engrained in it's DNA. It is an anti-piracy program. And when that personal Apple ID is used to setup a new Mac, it involves the Mac itself, the shipping OS and any pre-installed apps as well.
It's not the correct way to handle Macs that belong to a business or an institution. And had it been handled correctly they would not now be in this predictument needing a drastic remedy. -

I'm really in difficult! Help me please!Mmmmm I tried this an it didn't seem to solve my problem, but I think it helped me understand what's going on slightly more than before. I restored my system and files after my HD became corrupted by duping the drive. When I restored everything, it seems there might have been some conflicting problems with the OS and two identical users were created. So now in order to access my personalized settings and what not, I need to unlock my user settings and leave it unlocked for a few hours. This wouldn't be a problem if my MBP didn't give me kernal panics every time I run Safari or some general application for more than 10 minutes. I'm going to declare AppleCare as it's been under 3 years, but want to wait before my replacement iMac comes. Thank you for your help.
