Xcode breakpoints not catching

I've been having some trouble in XCode where breakpoints won't catch sometimes. In all cases, the breakpoint indicator on the left side of the source editor window shows up as orange with a blue outline. They are usually solid blue. But when I debug the application, they sometimes switch to this orange color and won't catch.
Any ideas what's happening here? I am compiling the project in DEBUG mode, and I'm not placing the breakpoints on invalid lines. No errors or warnings during compilation or during debugging in the console.
Please advise.

This may be the cause of my trouble. I found this in the XCode 3.1 release notes...
"The default setting for debugging libraries and frameworks is Load Symbols Lazily. On occasion this causes breakpoints to not be hit. Turning off this setting makes it take longer to start debugging, but hits breakpoints more reliably."

When I set breakpoint on this subrouting ,and try to click stardard BACK or CANCEL button, the callback form do not run, but if double click one of line of alv report, the callback form works well,

what I did is to set idemponent = false on the partnerlink but then the invoke fails instead of the bpel ( same error ) and still no compensate or catch in bpel.
Added the fault policies to the composite and rethrowed the error to BPEL. Still no luck.
But then replaced the EJB adapter with the db adapter which does the same insert as the EJB and I got a nice bpelx:bindingFault which I can catch and handle.

Xcode is not shown in launchpad

For some reasion I want to use older versions of xcode on my macbook pro I tried to download and install the old xcode with sdk(from 2011) just as I did on my friends computer which it worked before but this time I failed.I tried it many times the installation finishes without a problem but xcode launcher is not shown in launchpad or any other tools also I cant find any startup icon in developer or any other folders.
Any of you had the same problem like me with old versions of xcode also I cant isntall the application tools files because it says xcode is not found on this computer but I installed it on my hard drive.
If any of you had the same problem and solved it please share...

4.3.3 is the complete basic tool suite. What you downloaded was a .dmg file...double click on that to open and mount. If it's an installer, run it. If it's Xcode the application, drag it into your /Applications folder and run it from there. Unmount the .dmg when done.
You can then download components such as debugging support for another version iOS and documents.
I would suggest you start with the latest tools. You'll go blind trying to straddle fossilized tools and SDKs and anything you learn will be at high risk of being obsolete to get into the store and support things today. Don't put yourself behind the curve at the beginning. Don't be afraid to use Storyboards.

ScheduleAtFixedRate - not catching interupt from FutureTask.cancel()

I'm not quite understanding how to correctly cancel a thread that is spawned with scheduleAtFixedRate.
main() schedules the MyTask runnable to run every second (which works fine). The runnable (MyTask) prints that its running every second. main() waits 5 seconds then calls cancel (implemented by FutureTask). This is where I get confused. cancel() (if called with a true flag) is supposed to interrupt the thread, but I never get a print in my catch for an InterruptException, and I never fall into my Thread.interupted() condition.
So I have 3 questions:
1. When I run this code from eclipse, the runnable does stop running (I stop getting the prints). So it does seem to be getting canceled. However, I don't understand why I'm not catching the thread interrupt.
2. I'm forced to use the application terminate button in Eclipse to stop execution (not sure why it doesn't terminate normally).
3. Whats the advantage of scheduleAtFixedRate over just spawning the thread with a while(shutdownFlag==true) loop (with a sleep at the end of the loop) and using a volatile atomic boolean to set the flag to false and have the thread terminate?

1. the only way your runnable will see an interrupted exception, is if it happens to be running when the cancel method is called. however, seeing as your run method is so trivial, the chances of the cancellation happening at the exact right time are very low. add a call to Thread.sleep() in your run method and you have a way better chance of seeing the interruption in the run method.
2. you need to shutdown the executor at the end of the main method. the thread it is using is keeping the application from exiting.
3. because you don't have to write all the code your self. not to mention that you can use 1 thread for multiple scheduled tasks (if you need more than 1).

Application error not catched

Hi,
we are calling an RFC synchronously from BPM. This is a standard BAPI, that does not have any RFC exception message (BAPI_IPAK_START and BAPI_ISREQUEST_GETSTATUS). We are only able to catch system errors, since no RFC exception message is avaiable for which we could define a different exception branch.
If an error happens in the RFC, an application error is thrown, which is not catched in the exception branch defined to handle the system error. After the application error, the process simply terminates- that's it.
Why is an application error not catched as system error? Is there any way to catch an application error and let the business process continue?

a BAPI does not throw any exception, therefore you cannot catch any.
- You could write a wrapper RFC around the BAPI which interprets the RETURN structure and throws exception in case of an error.
- You could have a fork in the BPM depending of the entries in RETURN.

Xcode will not compile

I migrated from Windows C++(Dev C++) to Mac (Xcode) and Xcode will not compile, the command for it is greyed out (not selectable). Even Hello World Wouldn't compile. What am I doing wrong here?
(this is an empty C++ file that's been opened)

What kind of application do I want to open for basic C++. I've tried numerous now and I always get at least one error of conflicting commands.

ItemFocusOut not catching "TAB" key in Datagrid edited cell?

In DataGrid, "keyUp" can catch "TAB" key when it is pressed,
but the Keyboard event has less information needed. I tried
itemFocusOut, but it seems DataGridEvent would not catch it. Any
tips on how to make "TAB" key generate DataGridEvent or similar
event?

Let me rephrase like this:
In our application, a DataGrid’s edited cell has
“itemEditEnd” and “itemEditBeginning”
handlers defined. However when a “TAB” key is pressed
to navigate from one editable cell to another editable cell, none
of the above handlers can catch this special key stroke event.
Our intention is to make “TAB” key to emit an
event that can be caught by above handlers. Or, in other words, we
would like make “TAB” key to be similar(in the sense of
generating events) to that of “Enter” key when pressed.

CatchAll does not catch exception in ora:translateFromNative

In a BPEL process, I have an Assign step where I use the ora:translateFromNative function. There is a CatchAll around the Sequence. When I provide wrong data in the inputvariable for the native translation (for instance a typo in the root element name), the XPATH function fails but the CatchAll does not catch this. Furthermore, the process state is not dehydrated so in the BPEL console you don't see anything about this. The log file however shows the following information:

MouseEvents not catching in JSplitpane

I had problem with JSplitpane, I used in my application for differentiation for two wave graphs, if i drag the splitpane (up/down)then my top and bottom graphs are updated accordingly, i want to write mouse listener and when moveRelesed update the two graphs.
If i use property change listener for Splitpane it will work ok but the repainting is very slow(because every time), So i want to replace with mouse listener, but pressed on divider and dragged on it the event is not catching.

You will ahve to add a mouse listener on the divider but not on the splitpane itself.
The problem is the divider is implemented by the UI, so you will have to get it from the UI to add the mouse listener to it.
Here is the principle :

V.2.0.6 for Mac universal driver (I suggest you set your Safari prefences, General atb, "Save downloaded file to:" desktop, click the save to drop down, id desktop is not ther, click "other" and select Desktop from the left column. This will download to the desktop as a stand alone installer. After yhe download id complete, quit all applications, run the installer following the prompts, after is says done or complete, log out and reboot.

Can not catch in servlet exception thrown by EJB

Hello everybody.
I created an exception class InvalidDataException derived from Exception. This exception is thrown in an EJB session.
In my servlet I wrote two catch blocks. The first one is :
catch(InvalidDataException ex) and the second one is catch(Exception ex).
The InvalidDataException is not catched in the InvalidDataException block but in the Exception block. And in the Exception block I display the class of the catched exception, the class is the class of my InvalidDataException.
I hope my explanation is clear...
Any ideas ??

Hello,
I fix my problem. I included the class InvalidDataException in the *.war and in the *.jar so there were 2 definitions of InvalidDataException. Thats why my exception was not catched.

C7 catching 2G network but not catching 3G/3.5G ne...

I have been using Nokia C7, operator being Vodafone 3G SIM. My Nokia C7 is not catching 3G signal, but when i am using same SIM in anogther Nokia 5230 its getting full access to 3G network at same place. but when I am using 2G network I get good signal in both the mobiles.
When I go towards my tarrace in that case my C7 mobile gets bit of 3.5G signal. Also, when I use same Voda SIM in laptop modem I get full 3G signal. Please suggest how do I solve this problem?
Also, I have used all type of setting manual/dual mode/Automatic mode everything....in C7. But the problem remains the same...

welcome to the forums the problem you told may be your hardware prob. Your nokia C7 isn't ctchng sgnl in your room, I think that it is nt able to catch 3g sgnls in enclosd room.
