XD03 - maximum no. of search hits

Hi,
When we search customer master (XD03) system by default is restricting the max. no. of entries to 5000. Do you know where I can get rid of it or extend this limit ? Actual issue is that user wants to see search term of all customers, but it is showing only 5000 entries currently.
XD03 transaction:
Entering 9999 in below screen does not help.
Below setting does not help.

as a result no restriction appears, check it and that´s all

How I can increase the maximum number of search hits? By default is 100.
I know about parameter SEARCH_MAX_HITS, but this not applicable for this situation.

You can increase it at your identification profile (t-code crmc_ic_bpprofx), at parameter 'Max. Number of Hits'.

Free search hit list +PPOSE

The free search functionality for PPOSE (Object type position) always shows A003 relationship irrespective of the input parameters used.
For e.g , even if the input parameters entered in free search is Related Object type-P, Relationship type -A 008, the output in the hit list is always A003.
Can you please advise how data is picked up to be populated in the hit list?

Try this options mentioned in the SAP note
In the initial screen HELP --> Settings . Go to the tab F4 Help . Go to change mode and choose "Dialog" instead of "Control".
Now for F4 help you will get a check box "No restriction". Use this Check box and try again.
I guess performance will be seriously affected

we have one oltp application.we are suffering with some performance problem.to solve that problem i have heard that we have to verify that the maximum number of users has not beet hit.(may be it might be one root cause).
if we have 1000 users in the databse, can we control only 500 or 600 users to do their transactions concurrently?

FF33.1 on Win7 - clicking on a Yahoo search hit sometimes closes tab?

I was recently searching in my iPhone 3GS for a phone number, and the search hits revealed text messages that I have long ago deleted and would rather not have in my iPhone. How do I delete these once and for all?

It was the strangest thing. You would think that once you delete a message off your phone it is gone.
But in the "search iPhone" feature several key numbers like an area code reveal phone numbers of people
who aren't in my contact list, specifically the first few words of text messages that I deleted long ago.
I would like to eliminate these once and for all.
Will "Erase Content and settings" do this for good? Once I restore the phone will they come back?

PA30, Maximum rows 50, Search help PREM

Hello,
Do you know maybe what could be a problem with transaction PA30
when I'm using search help for finding persons I will get only 50 rows on
the list and the message DH803 :
'There are more than 50 possible inputs"
when I was analysing program it's hard coded for 50th but maybe there is a way to set (increase) this value in configuration?

even if (T77S0) RECFA:HIHIT is set to 500, the search help results in PA30 are reduced to 50. where can I temporarily extend that value to e.g. 200?

Is there any way to limit search hits to only the topics found in the TOC?

Hi. I'm interested in creating multiple TOCs for a project. Included will be TOCs that only have a subset of the project topics and books. Is there a way to restrict searching to only those topics and books that occur in the TOC?

Hi there
There are a couple of ways to accomplish this goal.
The long way around is to select all the topics that are not in the TOC and look at their properties. On the General tab is an option to exclude the topic from any content being found in the search.
Note that with this method, the topic won't be found even if another topic links to it.
The other way is to look at the Single Source Layout options. For WebHelp, it will be found by first clicking to expand the Content Categories area, then clicking to select the category. Once you do this, there should be an option to "Exclude Unreferenced Topics from Output".
Note that using this method, if another topic links to the unwanted topic, it has then been referenced and will still be found via search.

I solved the problem. write about:config and find accessibility.typeaheadfind.matchesCountLimit settings name. The value of this setting default 100. I did make 9999999.

Product search: How to obtain more than 100 items

I find products from Tr. COMMPR01. Entering the citeria search, the screen only is able to display 100 items.
How can I change this maximum of 100 items to be displayed ?

Big Table and slow display of the page

Hello,
i have a page (Table format) which corresponds to a table that has many records (some millions). When this page is selected it is very slow because the total number of records is calculated and displayed on the right as a default behavior, with a list of next 25 elements (10 is the default in JHS i think), ie 1-25, 26-50, 51-75.. Of course the list is not full as in the bottom of it there is a select "more..." that displays the next selection choices in the range.
Is there any way to avoid this? I have selected the choice not to auto query in the beginning the table, and the user has to enter search criteria, but beyond that, in next searches, always the full result set or table is scanned and this delays the display of the data.

You could try setting the group-level property "Maximum Number of Search Hits" on the specific group in the application definition file. This will force end-users to to perform a more restrictive search and thus limiting the number of records in your result-set.

VL09 hit error 'F5 727 ("Maximum number of items in FI reached")'

Hi,
I have one user who is trying to cancel GI for DO using transaction VL09 and hit the error 'F5 727 ("Maximum number of items in FI reached")'. I know it is caused by FI document maximum item no is hit. Is there a solution to cancel this GI document? I have checked on SAP note: 0001353827 AC interface: Document split in FI for goods movements, but it does not solve my issue since the system release version is not compatible.

I need to use VL09 to cancel the document, because I need to change the currency on the preceding document (PO).
The case is a user created a Supply Chain PO, a DO created by reference to PO, then post good issue and post good receipt. Then user found out the currency in PO was wrong, so did cancellation on good receipt and good issue. Good receipt is cancelled successfully, but cancel good issue via VL09 hit error.
Instead of applying summarisation in FI, any suggestion for this issue?

OD settings: "maximum search results" guidance needed

Hello OD users -
I can't seem to find any guidelines as to what settings I should be using for the field "Return a maximum of ___ search results" or the "Search timeout" field after that in Open Directory protocol settings.
I think the default is to leave it wide open- 11000 results timing out in 1 hour. Apple's documentation says you can change that to prevent one type of denial-of-service attack, but they don't give any suggestions as to what settings to use. We only have about 170 OD users set up, but I'm not sure how many LDAP records would be needed in a search, or what a reasonable timeout period would be.

Before responding to your points I want to give a little more context:
We have an intranet based on pure html and a little aspx containing many of those pdf- files. By clicking on the links in the intranet the files open correctly in browser handled by the adobe plugin. Now we set up this search server crawling the file system
accessed through a share to the root folder of the intranet. In the search server settings a host mapping rule is applied to replace the file://[share] with http://[intranet host+domain+port] to access files over http.
And now to answer your question. The resulting urls are the same, copying the link from intranet and copying the link from the search result (except some case issues).
The event viewer not seem to show any errors on this, though I'm not very familiar using it.

Search in Internal Table Utility -- Need Pointers

As per my requirement i need to search for words in internal table and arrange internal table based on ranking i.e record which has maximum no. of hits should come first.
Example: search for a string 'media rent'.
Incoming internal table records.
row1------>   col1: rent                    col::xyz
row2 -
>   col1:media rent          col2:media
row3 -
> col1: rent                     col2:media media
I need to compare each word in col1 and col2 and arrange the rows based on ranking like this:
final internal table
row2 because it has maximum no. of search term
row3
row1
I found out 2 ways to do the above but facing some issues and need your suggestions:
Solution 1:
By using regualr expression i am searching as OR expression on itab.
and using FIND ALL OCCURRENCES OF REGEX command on each column of internal table
Issue: when row3 is scanned for 'media rent' it will give 3 counts i which will lead to move row3 on top in final table due to maximum no of counts.
Is there a way to neglect 2nd occurence in the word ? I cn't use find first occurence here.
Solution 2:
Split search sting 'media rent' into internal table
itab1
media
rent
and search for each word in each row of internal table and make use of counter something like this.i am unable to proceed further here
I am stucked with what kind of logic should be here ?
