XDcamEX Files in AE CS6

Please can someone help me,
I am struggling to get XDcamEX files int AE CS6, I have read all info i can find about this issue but none have solved it.
I can import the same footage into AECS5.5 on the same machine but not AECS6.
I have a registered version of CS6 production premium installed on the machine yet it still gives me errors.

It's a bug in After Effects CS6 handling of XDCAM EX files. If you need to use this footage in After Effects, transcode it using another program, such as Adobe Media Encoder.
We're working on a fix.

Error message when saving a file in DW -CS6

When I go to save a file in Dreamweaver CS6, using Windows 7 -
I get this error message.
"While Executing onLoad in bc_afterSave.htm, the follwing javascript errors occured"
In File "bc_aftersave.htm";
onload is not defined
Everything was fine for years now I get this annoying error message. The file saves but the error message always pops up.
I am using the Adobe Application Manager and getting my software through the Adobe Cloud.
I tried deleting the configuration file with th expectation that DW would automatically create a new one but that did not work.
I'd hate to have to unintsall and reinstall DW because I have dozens of sites that I would need to resetup
Any help on this??

bc_aftersave.htm is a file that lies within Dreamweaver's Configuration Commands. Usually is required when working with Business Catalyst.
The error you see may be caused due to a faulty file.
I'm attaching the file at fault - 'bc_aftersave.htm' in this thread. Download and restore it to the following folder:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\<language>\Configuration\Commands
Locate the file bc_aftersave.htm, replace that file with the one I'm attaching here to see if it solves the issue.

How do I save an install file for Photoshop CS6

I need to get an install file for Photoshop CS6 (not CR) that I can use on a Windows PC that, due to security reasons, does
not have access to the internet. In the past I have been able to save the install file for Photoshop and/or Lightroom on my internet connected PC and then move it to the the target PC on a thumb drive or CD. But now with the CC and the new "Adobe Installer" I can't seem to see how to capture the install file.
Please let me know how to do this.

I have several files that has been saved in a cc2014 version and I can't open them in my CS6 version of Indesign.
I don t have access to anyone who have the cc 2014 version to convert the file.
How can I do it from my cs6 version?

You can't do it from CS6.
You have to export to IDML from InDesign CC2014 (or whatever the version it was created in) and then open the IDML in the earlier versoin of InDesign.

Could try saving as tiff provided layers and transparency are chosen at the time of saving. But it's hard to give a definitive answer as it depends on the final usage. For example PSD's tend to work better in applications like In Design in comparison with tiff.

Can't open file from Bridge CS6 in PS CS6

From Bridge CS6, my files open in Windows Photo Viewer or Live Photo Gallery. When I go to "Open with" on the File menu PS CS6 is not an option. I know this has to be simple but it is driving me nuts and I can't get my photos to open in PS when I double click on one of my tens of thousands of photos.
I just bought CS6 yesterday. Also, do I need to keep the Adobe CS6 file that is on my desktop, or can I delete it now that the program is loaded? It is 1.77 GB. If I even need to reload PS, I can do it from the store on my account, right? Same for the Adobe file that is on my desktop from the LR4 download a couple of months ago. Also, I left PS6 checked on the download for 64 and the regular PS. I have windows 7 so I only need 64 bit. Why is the other PS CS6 (non 64) there? Do I need it? Should I uninstall it? Also, should I uninstall CS4 and CS5? They are all still sitting there, along with LR3 (I use LR4 now). I have huge and multiple hard-drives, so space is not a consideration. But I just want to clean up a little.

For the file problem go to preferences/file type associations. You should have the option selected CS6 for the extenstion as the default. Might try the radio button on the bottom first to set them to default settings.
If the 1.77g file you are refering to is the one you downloaded and used for installation you can delete it. It is a wise choice to save it to a DVD first so in case you need it in the future you will have it. Also save the serial number in safe place. Acutally safe is not the right word, need to save in place where you can find it if you need it next year. HD can fail.
There are still thrid party plug-ins that do not work in 64 bit mode, hence the 32 bit version. Also there is no 64 bit TWAIN so some still like to use that for scanning.
Some users experience file association and other problems with an uninstall of past versions. So it is safest to leave them be.
If you want to clean up a little resist the urge to move any Adobe programs once is is installed. Can really foul it up.

I am running PS6 and want to open and edit AVI files. When I try to do that I get an error message saying "the video file cannot be opened" . This seems to apply to ALL avis - yet I can open and edit MP4, MMV etc. I installed Gspot to track whether it was a codec issue and when I try to open ANY file I get this error message : "Warning: DirectShow crashed while GSpot was attempting to obtain information about a codec. This is usually due to damaged, misconfigured, conflicting, or poorly written codec drivers. It is possible, perhaps even likely, that other media players will crash when they attempt to play this file as well, as most of them will also use DirectShow. GSpot was able to intercept the crash, and has attempted to identify the codec or filter involved; uninstalling or reinstalling this codec or filter may solve the problem. The codec was tentatively identified as: C:\Windows\system32\imaadp32.acm Unknown video codec #11" I have NO idea where to go from here. I see a site to download the "imaadp32.acm" codec but what about the "Unknown video codec #11". What the heck is that and what do I do about it. Any help would be appreciate, Cliff
ps I should add that the avi files DO open and play in Bridge. I have the latest Quicktime. Everything is up to date and PS and the computer is otherwise working perfectly !

I did re-set the prefs - but to no avail
I checked and my graphics driver and audio is all up to date.
No sure how to verify Windows Media Player's hardware acceleration options. I opened WMP Options /Perfformance tab and under Cd the DirX tab is checked.
Running Windows Vista - so does the same caution apply regarding a re-install of Windows Media Components and DirectX ?
Appreciate your help with this somewhat frustrating issue. I am converting some old 8mm film to avi with the hope of doing some edits then burning to DVD.

Unable to open Canon 7D CR2 raw files in Photoshop CS6

Hi Folks,
I have been trying to open Canon 7D CR2 raw files in Photoshop CS6 (Extended) (Windows 8.1) but I'm always getting the error "Could not complete your request because the file format module cannot parse your file".
I installed the Camera Raw plugin ver 8.8.0.397 today. Did this initially by downloading and running the CameraRaw_8_8.zip available here Camera Raw plug-in installer. Still got the error.
Went and did the Check Updates in Photoshop and updated the Camera Raw (and other components) but STILL cannot open the CR2 files.
I can see the thumbnails in Bridge but when I double click to open them in Photoshop, same error.
Cannot seem to get past the "Could not complete your request..." error.
Any ideas?

I have uploaded two sample pics taken with my canon 7d. If you get a chance, could you please try opening these images to see if they work on your machine.

I have tried opening them on both my office and home computer but neither of them work.
Hmmm... could it have anything to do with the lens (Canon Macro Lens EF 100mm1:2.8 USM)

to explain the scenario, i am basically a D7000 user and I do post production with Windows computer. But for an assignment I have hired D800, they have provided me their SD memory card. I have used the same memory card while shooting.
I have transferred the NEF files from the camera using Nikon software. The transfer was successful but i am not able to open the Raw NEF file with ACR. Even my plugins are updated till date.
The NEF thumbnails are having small lock logo in the bottom left corner. I do not know what does that mean. Like this.
Kindly let me know what would be the prob? if my RAW files are corrupted kindly let me know how will I recover them?

How do I add a zoom function to a digital magazine (.swf file) in InDesign CS6?

Im creating an interactive digital magazine for our company which will go on the iPad, but also online for computers.
The iPad (.folio) has zoom functions, but on screen (.swf) the magazine is very static and peaple can't zoom and scroll (the zooming buttons function in InDesign doesn't work here).
So, how do I add a zoom function to a digital magazine (.swf file) in InDesign CS6?
(I read older posts regarding this problem in CS5... It's not possible for me to purchase an additional product for that. I have Flash, if there is a tutorial on how to do it, that'd be helpful too)

How to open a idml file created by CS6 in CS5?

I created a file in InDesign CS6 and saved as idml file yesterday.
But today I can not open either in CS6 or CS5 version.
It says
"Cannot open the file "Project #3.idml". Adobe InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing, or the file may be open in another application."
Is there anyother way could open this file?

Can't save a file in DW CS6

i open a single file in DW CS6 and make a change
I chose File > Save and it doesn't save the file (asterisk is still next to the tab)
If i close the file, DW prompts that the file has been modified and then the save works.
Also, if i do a File > Save All, that works (even thought only one file is open).
I have restarted both DW and my computer to no avail. Any suggestions are appreciated.

That's a good step to fix a lot of odd behaviors that crop up in DW.

How do I create an interactive PDF file in InDesign CS6 with Folio Overlays?

I have been trying to export an interactive PDF file using InDesign CS6. It exports fine, and all the content works except for the Folio Overlays I created. I created two Folio Overlays (one Pan & Zoom and one Scrollable Frame). The overlays work if I preview them from the Folio Overlays panel, but they do not work on the PDF document.
I am using File >> Export... to create the PDF document, and I am sure the PDF document is of the interactive type and not the print type. Am I exporting it incorrectly? Is there a specific step that I have missed somewhere? Do I need to create a Folio Build to make the Folio Overlays work?
When I mouse over the Folio Overlays, I get the crosshair cursor which only selects part of the image when I click and drag it.

PDF is one thing. Folios for DPS is another. There is a little bit of
overlap but not much.
The interactivity in the folio overlays panel is for DPS only.
