XDK for Java for Oracle8i

Hello,
I want to download the XDK for Java for Oracle8i, I dont see it in the download section. I see only for Oracle 9i. Can anyone tell me where it has been moved? I have the database in Oracle 8i.
Thanks.
Rama.

Use the XDK for 9i, it also works for 8i (but make sure to use the right version of classes.zip and xsu.jar).

  • ORACLE XML PARSER FOR JAVA FOR AIX

    Hi people!
    I'm looking for the Oracle XML Parser for Java 9.0.2.0.0C, my 9iAS is BI Installation 9.0.2.3, where can I get it? In the Downloads Section there is only the version for 10g, and the existing versions for 9i are not for AIX (my OS is AIX 5.2L).
    Thanks.

    Thanks for your help, I navigate through this link and, even it shows a table where appears the release for AIX (9.2.0.6.0), when I get to http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/xml/xdk/software/prod/utilsoft_java.htm
    it shows me only downloads for Sun, Linux and HP-UX, but not for AIX.
    Has the version for AIX being deprecated or something like that?

  • Is there a standard package available for JAVA for MM in Enterprise Portal

    Hi
    I would like to know if there is a standard package available for JAVA in MM for Enterprise Portal as we want to create purchase requests in the portal and send them to SAP .

    Standman--
    If you want a somewhat more powerful tool (albeit more complicated) check out TOra:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/tora/
    As an Oracle DBA I've used this at client's sites when I can't pay for PL/SQL Developer to be installed, and it has quite a few useful things built into it. I think that it's going to see a boom in popularity now that Oracle came out with XE.

  • When will safari be fixed to update for java for mac os x 10.6 update 5?

    The Jave for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 5 seems to have created some broblems with browsing in Safari.  Specifically, when browsing pages which use Java to autoload additional content, the additional content never appears.  Will Apple be sending out a fix to Safari to address this issue? Or is there some setting in Safari that I could use to overcome this change in Java to restore the previous browsing behavior?

    These can all be ignored. Nothing to worry about, nothing to repair. See this recent thread.

  • Java: Where are JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files for Java for Mac OS X 10.7?

    I need to install the JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files for Java 1.6 under Mac OS X 10.7.  I know where to get then from the Sun/Oracle Java download site, but want to make sure that these will work on the Mac.  Or, are there Mac specific versions somewhere?

    There's a  jce.jar file in /System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Home/lib/, so it appears that they're already in place, but that's just a WAG.

  • Creation of "Web Dynpro for Java"  for SAP transaction

    Hi All,
             In EP when we create SAP transaction iView for SAP transaction,
    a)ITS server is required if we choose SAP GUI Type as WebGui(Performance wise as well as some other issues)
    b)SAP GUI has to be installed if we choose SAP GUI Type as WinGui.(User has to install SAP GUI).
    Can we overcome these two issues by creating Web Dynpro application for SAP transaction in quicker way. Any suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Gangadharayya.

    Hi,
    It is not possible to display a transaction directly in a java web dynpro. If you do not want to use a transaction iview the only other possibility is to create a web dynpro that uses BAPI's as models.

  • Sample WebDynpro for Java for BAPI error

    Hi,
    I have created one BAPI which will take matnr as an input and gives table of matnr, maktx.
    This BAPI i have used (through Adaptive RFC) to create sample WebDynpro Application (JAVA) through NWDS.
    I have deployed it and tried to run it, but it failed with following error.
    500   Internal Server Error
      Web Dynpro Container/SAP J2EE Engine/6.40
    Failed to process request. Please contact your system administrator.
    What could be the problem?
    I have also tried sample application without any BAPI, It worked fine.
    Please let me know what could be the possible error.
    -Thanks

    if its 500 Internal Server Error  it would have created a DUMP on the ABAP side. check tcode ST22 in the ABAP engine to find more details.

  • Webdynpro for ABAP vs WD for Java

    How different is WD for ABAP from WD for Java?
    I have a good knowledge of WD for Java and I know ABAP. But how good and efficient is WD for ABAP? Would it be better to use WD for ABAP or WD for Java for SAP based portal development?
    Thanks in advance,
    Reena

    <i>
    1. We can embedd the Web Dynpro for ABAP applications in SAP screens in ABAP environment. I don't think it is possible using java web dynpro.
    </i>
    Yes, you probably can, since the application can be fired simply by a URL, there is not reason that you couldn't have an HTML control in your dynpro and point to this URL.
    To answer the original question,  the development model for each is pretty much the same, just two different flavors.  I think that some things make WDA better, one being that it is totally integrated into the ABAP development workbench and the Transport/change control system.  On the WDJ side, you development locally and "deploy" your changes using the DTR and CBS.  I'm not exactly comfortable with this quite yet, which is why I like WDA better..
    Another thing is that we have some built in stuff with WDA, like automatic search help functionality,  ALV Grid, and Select-option functionality.  I do believe that SAP is working on some of these for WDJ.

    examples documents are stored like this in knowledege management folder 20016319.pdf  ,  20016397.pdf  ,  20016398.
    how to access those employee using webdynpro for java for perticular employee number if i want 20016319
    Send me the code for above requirement and where i have to wrirte that code exactly
    Regards

    Dear Kishore,
    To get the Employee ID you have to create a Adaptive RFC Model (call BAPI) which will return you the employee pernr, for this
    1. Create a model using  : BAPI_EMPLOYEE_GETDATA
    2. Get User ID using the code
    public java.lang.String getUserID( )
        //@@begin getUserID()
         String userID = new String();
              try
                    // getting Logged in userid
                   IWDClientUser myUser = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
                   userID = myUser.toString().substring(19).trim();
                   StringTokenizer filterdUID = new StringTokenizer(userID,")");
                   userID = filterdUID.nextToken();
              catch (WDUMException e)
                   e.printStackTrace();
                   return userID;
        //@@end
    3. Execute the BAPI
    public java.lang.String getEmployeeID( java.lang.String userID )
        //@@begin getEmployeeID()
         String employeeID = new String();
              Bapi_Employee_Getdata_Input employeeData = new Bapi_Employee_Getdata_Input();
              Bapi_Employee_Getdata_Output outData = new Bapi_Employee_Getdata_Output();
              Bapip0105B comm = new Bapip0105B();
              com.sap.aii.proxy.framework.core.AbstractList list = new Bapip0105B.Bapip0105B_List();
              list.add(comm);
              employeeData.setUserid(userID);
              Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance(Locale.UK);
              Date date = new Date(cal.getTimeInMillis());
              employeeData.setDate(date);
              employeeData.setAuthority_Check("");
              employeeData.setCommunication(list);
              outData.addCommunication(comm);
              wdContext.nodeBapi_Employee_Getdata_Input().bind(employeeData);
              wdContext.nodeOutput_BAPI().bind(outData);
            try
                   wdContext.nodeBapi_Employee_Getdata_Input().currentBapi_Employee_Getdata_InputElement().modelObject().execute();
                   wdContext.nodeOutput_BAPI().invalidate();
            catch (WDDynamicRFCExecuteException e) {printMsg("Failed to Obtain Employee Data");
                 e.printStackTrace();
            employeeID = wdContext.nodeBapi_Employee_Getdata_Input().nodeOutput_BAPI().nodeOrg_Assignment().currentOrg_AssignmentElement().getPerno();
            return employeeID;
        //@@end
    Hope it Helps!!

    This was the last Java update for Leopard from Apple:
    Update 10, 29 June 2011 - This release updates J2SE 5.0 to 1.5.0_30, and updates Java SE 6 to 1.6.0_26. J2SE 1.4.2 is no longer being updated to fix bugs or security issues and remains disabled by default in this update. Support for out-of-process Java applets on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard has been removed with this update.
    This release is only for Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later versions of Mac OS X 10.5. http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1359
    Since August 2012 updates for Java (and especially Java Runtime Environment, which is what you actually need) must now be downloaded direct from Oracle:
