  • Adding field in PDF(This form designed in Adobe Designer)

    Dear All,
    I use Acrobat 7.0.
    I created forms with Adobe Designer,then I saved this form as PDF.
    I want to add a few field that are; button tool,check box,Drop-down list,List box,radio button,text field,signature field, in the PDF.
    I can add in the body page but I want to add in the PDF form.
    How can I add these fields?
    Thanks.

    PDF preview is not a editing mode...You need to switch back to the editing mode by selecting 'Body Pages' tab from Designer.

  • Adobe Designer - Interactive form/template (visible but don't print messges

    Hello,
    I'm making a interactive form or template with Adobe Designer, in which I have one object field and a few text fields.
    What I need to do is add messages on those fields so the person using the interactive form/template can know what to input in each field and were the fields are since they don't have border or background. For example I need to have a message like this: "click here to add your logo" in the object field, those messages can't be printed since they are just instrucctions for the person using the form/template.
    I tried the Tooltip but since the fields can have border people won't know were the fields are and the Tooltip only works when you place the cursor on the field.
    Any suggestions?

    The input parameters you are seeing in a 'Web Dynpro like' form are more than likely input parameters to the process.  Process input parameters come from action input parameters  in process blocks and actions that are not mapped.  Given that, it sounds like you have not mapped all the input parameters for one or more of your actions in your process.  By default, GP provides the process initiator the ability to specify the values of these inputs when a process is started. To avoid this you can either,
    1. Map all the input parameters.
    2. Specify the process to start automatically under the 'Instantiation' tab for the process template.  By selecting this, input parameters are ignored and their default values used.
    3. Don't expose these parameters if they are not required or applicable to your process.  This can be done at the action or block level under the 'Parameters' tab.

  • No security tab in form options of Adobe designer

    Hi, I am new at using Adobe designer in a SAP netweaver environnement.
    I have a problem because I cannot set the security options in the designer because I have not got the security tab in the options.
    Has this ever happened to any of you ?
    I have allready serched the forums but have not found anything related to this issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Nicolas.

    Hi Nicolas
    this is information you need to set on the SAP side of the integrated solution.
    In Web Dynpro for Java, one of the properties of the InteractiveForm UI element is 'enabled', which by default is set to 'true', i.e. by default it generates an interactive PDF form.
    In transaction SFP in ABAP, the form interface contains a property called 'fillable', which is disabled by default (because the transaction was built with a focus on high-volume printing requirements), and needs to be set in your program if you want to generate an interactive form.
    All this is described really well in the documentation, for example, for NW 2004s: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/37/47a2be350c4ac8afe36b691203971f/frameset.htm
    Remember, the form generation in SAP happens on the server (ADS), not in Acrobat.
    Hope this helps,
    Markus

  • Where the Adobe Designer PDF Form "Default Locale" read from?

    I am designing PDF form using Adobe Designer. I have set the "Default Locale" in the Edit -> Form Properties. I have set the Display Pattern of numeric field to ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZ9.99. Based on locale, Adobe should format the numeric field accordingly. So where exactly the Adobe Designer read the locale and the number format? From SAP table, Adobe server OS, PC OS or from where? Because I need to check the locale setting ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZ9.99, ZZZ.ZZZ.ZZ9,99 and so on.

    Check in the Interface Or Form Builder -->Interface.
    Reward if Useful.

  • Incrementing Number on Adobe Designer 7.0 Form

    Hello -
    I am wanting to create a PO form where an incrementing number gets applied to a field each time a user opens the form. The user is creating a purchase order, and instead of using preprinted-paper forms he/she wants to use an Adobe form. I have created the entire form in Adobe Designer 7.0, however, I cannot seem to get an incrementing number to be calulated/populated into a field. The form then gets mailed to others, however, when they open the form the number should not change because it is already populated. It should only populate (and increment the counter) when the field is blank (i.e. a new purchase order is being created).
    I got something like this to work in Acrobat Pro 6.0 using a "global tracking number"....
    Please help.
    Thank you.
    Rick

    I'm not familiar with the "global tracking number" functionality you are referring to (I couldn't find any such beast in Acrobat 7 Pro), but it would seem to me that what you need is some sort of database connectivity. The PO number field would be the index on a PO table. If the customer is intent on keeping the PO numbers unique, would they not be tracking these is some sort of database repository?

  • Submit problem using Adobe Designer 7.0 form & GroupWise email

    We are designing an interactive form using Adobe Designer 7.0, and would like for other people in the organization to be able to fill in the form electronically then hit the "Submit by Email" to return the data.
    For email, we are using Novell GroupWise.
    Problems are occurring once the recipient of the form selects the "Send Data File" button. This action either causes Adobe to crash, or causes an error message, "Acrobat is unable to connect to your email program."
    Can anyone help? Is anyone successfully using this function with GroupWise email?

    I don't really have a solution for you - perhaps the following may be of use though:
    Try reinstalling Designer 7 and ensure that at the point where you are asked about your e-mail client that you tell it that you are using GroupWise.
    You may like to see if you can send an e-mail using the same method that we employ.
    This is the script we use on the 'click' event of a button that sends an e-mail with the form attached (via GroupWise) to the e-mail address as specified ("[email protected]" in the example below).
    var myDoc = event.target;
    myDoc.mailDoc(false,"[email protected]", "", "",
    "This is will appear in the subject line....",
    "Here is the message text............");

  • Testdrive with Form builder / Adobe designer ?

    Hello All
    A couple of q's about the Adobe solution.
    1) I have just installed the linux version of SAP NetWeaver 04 testdrive SR1.
    According to documentation Web AS 6.40 shuld have a new tool in ABAP Workbench called the Form Builder, but I can't find it anywhere in my testdrive version ?
    2) Prerequisites should be Adobe Designer is installed with the SAP front end.
    Is this Adobe Designer integrated in new SAPgui versions or how must I install it ?
    Best regards
    Thomas Madsen Nielsen

    Thank you Markus
    What version of SAPgui do I need for the ABAP version of this ?
    I have installed NW 04 for linux and MaxDB.
    On windows client I have installed
    1)SAPgui 620 Patch level 32.
    2) Java 2 SDK, SE v1.4.2_06
    3) From the NW 04 DVD i installed SAP NetWeaver Developer studio 2.0.4 and in the installation proces I also selected "install Forms Design Tool Adobe designer", but according to Markus Meisl this is not relevant if I want to use transaction SFP?
    When i enter the Form Builder in SAPgui I am able to open a form (ie. FP_TEST_01) but when i click on the layout tab I get a dump:
    MESSAGE_TYPE_X
    Program Name CL_GUI_CFW====================CP
    Include CL_GUI_CFW====================CM002
    Row 23
    Module type (METHOD)
    Module Name FLUSH
    Message id 'CDNP' type 'X' number 006 raising CNTL_ERROR.
    Any idea what I can do? My own guess is that I need a new SAPgui ?

  • How to use Template manager in Adobe Designer

    Hi,
    I am new to WebDynpro. I am trying to import templates in Webdynpro Adobe Designer.
    In the Interactive Form Designer, there is a Menu called "Tools", which has option "Template Manager".
    When I select a template there is only a buttion Set Selected as default after i click it but nothing happen!! Can anyone please let me know how to use the Template Manager?
    Thanks.
    Edited by: bo wang on Jan 15, 2008 9:34 AM

    Yes, here you dont have option of using standard template. In this case, just right click on the Project name shown in WD perspective on the left hand side of screen and check the Projectlocation in Properties --> Info.
    go to "Projectlocation"\src\configuration\Components. Here you can find the XDP file. Open this XDP file, in this XDP you have File option. Select the template, and save the file.
    This change will appear in WD.

  • Password Fieldin ADobe Designer 8.0

    Hi Experts,
    My Requirement is to execute a webservice through Adobe Form, wherein the inputs are UserId and Password.
    What is happening is if the password capturing field is a normal Text field, all works fine; the webservice is executed properly gets back the result for us. But, if i attempt to change the type of that field to Password field available in library of our Adobe designer then webservice stops getting us the result i.e. it stops executing.
    Is there any other way out that i can mask the value entered in the password field, still execute the webservice.
    Any inputs will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Amita

    I found an alternate way.

  • Issues with Nested Tables and Adobe Designer

    Hi,
    I have some strange issues when I am trying to create a nested dynamic table with SAP DATA in Adobe Designer.
    My Outer Table has article items and in this table I got a nested charges. For instance the table contains this data:
    DATA
    |->Article1
    |--->charge111
    |--->charge211
    |
    |->Article2
    |--->charge122
    |--->charge222
    Now I am trying to display the data in a Adobe Designer table. But if I create a table with a row article and a repeating row charge all charges will be displayed under the first Article.
    This is the result:
    DATA
    |->Article1
    |--->charge111
    |--->charge211
    |--->charge122
    |--->charge222
    |
    |->Article2
    How can I solve this issue? I tried to select data binding on charges like article.DATA.charges.DATA[*] but this don't work.
    Anyone an idea?

    Alex,
    Is it print based form or interactvie form.
    ABAP
    If it is printbased form and if you are designing from SFP, you can use the following solution.
    You have to create a nested table in the context as below.
    say Table1-> Article ( fields: ARTICLENAME,....other fields) info Table2->cost info(fields:ARTICLENAME,Charge...,other fields).
    The 2 tables should contains data as beow.
    Table1 data.
    1row->Article1  -.....other values.
    2row->Article2  -.....other values.
    3row->Article3  -.....other values.
    Table2 data.
    1row->Article1  -Charge11 .....other values.
    2row->Article1  -Charge12 .....other values.
    3row->Article1  -Charge13 .....other values.
    4row->Article2  -Charge21 .....other values.
    5row->Article2  -Charge22 .....other values.
    6row->Article2  -Charge23 .....other values.
    7row->Article3  -Charge31 .....other values.
    8row->Article3  -Charge32 .....other values.
    9row->Article3  -Charge33 .....other values.
    In the context drag table2 into the table1 and define where clause on ARTICLENAME.
    In the layout drag nested table in the body page and make alignments.
    If your requirement is interactive, may be you can use the similar logic.

  • Passing an Internal Table to an RFC from Adobe Designer

    Hi All,
    I am using Adobe Designer to create interactive Adobe Forms. Now I am using an RFC/WebService which expects an Internal Table in import parameter.
    In my form designer I am getting this as only one field.
    So when I insert values in this from my form it updates only the entered in the last textbox all other values entered are lost.
    Any ideas how this can be done????
    Thanks...
    Sameer

    Hi Sameer,
              While you are mapping the input parameter mapped it to the value node or context node of the view.When you go to the adobe form you can see the mapping as a table itself instead of a field.Then use sub form inside adobe form UI layout to display it in the .pdf format in the adobe interactive form.
              If you see the mapping as a single field when a table is reqd then it implies mapping while creating the Model is not done correctly.So re import the model and do the mapping from the begining accordingly.

  • Webdynpro vs Adobe designer

    Hi,
    We are using NWDS 04 (SP14) with adobe designer 6. Our interactive forms we want to make are dynamic and flexible. the things we want can be develloped in adobe designer 7.  Do we get troubles when we installl designer 7 with the NWDS 04 (SP14)?
    REgards
    Sven Dresen

    There is no issue with using Designer 7.0 with SP14, it is actually an SAP recommendation after SP12.
    As for your forms: Depending on what you mean by 'dynamic and flexible', certain required features may not be available in NetWeaver '04, for example the dynamic rendering on the client. For this, you don't only need Designer 7.0, but also the 2004s ADS.
    Kind regards

  • Integrate Adobe Designer with ABAP Workbench  WEB AS 6.2

    Hi,
    I believe Adobe designer integration works from WEB AS 6.40. I read in someother post, its possible with older version too. is it true?.If so, we have WEB AS 6.2. I downloaded Adobe Designer 6.0.2,Do i need to configure to integrate or will it be automatically configured once i download the Designer .
    I am trying to develop PDF forms using SAP Help but I dont see the Adobe components in the Form Builder.
    Please help me understand.
    Thanks,
    Sujatha

    Hi Sujatha,
    SAP PDF-based forms technology (i.e. SAP Interactive Forms technology) is similar to SAP SAP Smart Forms technology. The form has a layout part and interface part. Generated form is a generated function module. The difference is that you need additionally ADS for PDF-based forms in runtime.
    Printing program is calling generated function module of the form and sending printing data via interface of the function module. You can prepare printing data via local call (select, function module, local method etc.) or via RFC call to back-end system.
    There is one disadvantage of RFC only: to create form interface in the design phase you need all used data types locally. Using SAP WebAS 6.40 without any application and R/3 Enterprise back-end for instance you miss some data types in SAP WebAS 6.40 and you have to create/import them there.

  • Problem launching Adobe Designer in Netweaver Developer Studio

    Hi All,
    I have successfully (I believe) installed all the components required to have Adobe Interactive Forms running on WAS 6.40 (SR1), in accordance with Achim Hauk's blog 'My struggles with the Adobe Document Services in WAS6.40' (thanks Achim!).
    When I go to try the Interactive Form tutorial, and I launch the Adobe Designer 6.0 from Netweaver Developer Studio (version 2.0.9) by right-clicking on my InteractiveForms UI element and selecting 'Edit', I get a popup error 'An error occurred decoding Base64 data - encoded data is invalid or corrupted'.  Does anyone know what this means and how to correct it?  When I press the OK button on this popup the Adobe Designer is correctly launched, however any changes I make within the Designer don't seem to be saved.
    Any help would be very much appreciated.  Not sure if it makes any difference, but I have Adobe Reader 6.0.2 installed on my client.
    Thanks
    John Moy

    Hi John,
    I've installed the SP15 sneak preview last weekend. Based on my experience, if you are not using SSL set up, you only need three steps to set up ADS.
    1. Create user ADSUser and user group ADSGroup
    2. Set up basic authentication
    3. Set up credential file
    Now, step 1 and 2 which is in the guide is already done when you finish the installation of sneak preview SP15. All you have to do is to set up credential file.
    I was having problem with Read timed out issue, and Markus pointed that web service time out need to be increased in my case. I haven't tested it yet since I am away from my PC, but i'm pretty sure it will fix the time out problem.
    Also if you download the credential a while back, that file will expired the end of this month (Feb). Markus has posted a new credential file which will expire in June.
    Regards,
    Iwan
