XDP/XFA XSD or DTD

Where can I find the XDP or XFA DTDs or XSDs?
There is a dead link to the XFA DTD at W3.org.
If there is a better forum to ask this question please let me know.
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
You'll have to forgive Leonard! He gets paid by the post and so he just posts enough information to get credit.
Anyhoo, the link that he provided will eventually lead you to what you are really looking for, but most people would give up before they found them. The schemas are actually attached to the pdf at the link below. Nice huh? Not really, but Adobe likes to make it hard to find stuff so that you have to call Leonard for support.
Here's the link:

  • Product-sku-output-config.xml - Is there a schema definition (XSD or DTD)?

For the product-sku-output-config.xml file (used to define the set of product and sku attributes that are sent to Endeca from ATG as part of the Baseline Index process, as defined in chapter 4 of the ATGEndecaIntegrationGuide.pdf, 10.1.2 version), is there a schema definition (XSD or DTD) available?
The format used by product-sku-output-config.xml seems similar to, but not the same as, the format described by http://www.atg.com/dtds/search/indexing-dependency-schema.dtd. For example, p35 of the ATGEndecaIntegrationGuide.pdf gives an example of a product-sku-output-config.xml with a "properties" child element of the top-level "item" element; per that indexing-dependency-schema.dtd, that isn't allowed. (Per that DTD, it should be either "meta-properties" or "text-properties", not "properties".)
More generally, I'm wondering if there's place that fully defines what can go into the product-sku-output-config.xml file.

  • Where to get AS2 MDN xsd or dtd?

    Hi guys!
I need to configure MDN receiving and as I go through Seeburger documentation, in the last chapter there is a scenario description, however, I don't know where to get xsd or dtd for creating interface for MDN messages. Any ideas?
    Thanx a lot! Peter

    Hi,
The purpose of the MDN is to acknowledge the receipt of a payload message. An MDN contains machine-readable information on the delivery state of the payload message. E.g., it contains the message digest (MIC) of the payload message as calculated by the recipient. An MDN is optionally signed then the recipient can authenticate the sender of the MDN and check its integrity. A validly signed MDN combined with a valid MIC, reported by the MDN, can be used by the payload message sender to claim “non-repudiation of receipt” (NRR) of the payload Message.
If the MDNs are processed in the XI system, this flag must be set to “Refer to XI System”. The adapter will then create an acknowledgment report message containing some information on the acknowledged document.Important: In case “Refer to XI System” is selected, a <b>sender channel with message protocol ‘Reports’ and a sender agreement for the generated acknowledgment report messages</b> (refer to the paragraph “Sender Message Channel (Inbound Processing)”) have to be configured. In case of asynchronous MDN mode, an Report channel and Sender agreement always have to be configured also when “Refer to XI system” is disabled!
    Also see section of Document
<b> Case B: Receiving the Acknowledgment Report (Optional) For this purpose, set the “Handle received MDN” flag of the AS2 channel to “Refer MDN to</b>

  • XSD or DTD for either CHTMLB or THTMLB?

Does SAP provide either XSDs or DTDs for CHTMLB  and THTMLB? It would sure make editing of the view pages a lot easier.
If so, where can they be obtained?

    James,
What do you mean you do not access to SAP XI?
Why would you need the DTD of an IDoc if you are not using XI.  If you had XI you would convert your IDoc to another format.
In SAP R/3 go to transaction WE60.  Select the IDoc you are interested in and select from the menus
    Documentation -> Create DTD.
Then you can save the DTD of the IDoc on your PC.
    Hope this helps.

  • Parse xdp/xfa file

    Hi everyone,
I have to parse an XDP/XFA file in Java.
    Two questions:
Can I use a standard xml parser?
Any advice on the parser to use in terms of performance?
Thanks in advance for your responses.
    Regards,
    Mirco

    Hi Otto,
    thanks for your response.
I describe you ourscenario in a simplified way hoping that it is a simple way.
Its an online scenario - WDJ (CE 7.11)+SAP IFbA. My form is a legacy form designed with Adobe Lifecycle 8.1.
When the user starts the application select the type of document he wants create (using checkboxes). This selection changes the layout dynamically using javascript. Then the user digitally signs the document.
If  I validate the signature, the signature panel I get the signature is  valid but I have a series of warnings concerning the layout elements  that have been deleted or whose properties have changed (by the script)
How can we avoid these warnings? Do we create a set of templates without scripts corresponding to each type of document? We would like avoid it because the possible combinations of the documents is very high.
So, our initial idea is to have a copy of the document without script for changing the xml tree dynamically depending on the presence or absence of values in the context WDJ. To do this we need a parser.
Do you have any advice for us? Any kind of help may be very important at this time.
Thanks for your attention and your time.
    Regards,
    Mirco

  • Xsd and dtd: which one will overrule

    Hi,
if I have both DTD and XSD, and the rules in them are conflicting (say: the DTD indicates that an element is mandatory and the XSD is indicating that the element is optional): which one will overrule?
    Kind regards

An XML document may have only either a DTD or a schema specified.

  • How to convert from .XSD to .DTD?

    Hello.
From my Physical Schema i use the JDBC Url read XML files.
I have a .xsd definition file that i want to use reading my .xml file, and get it into my database.
As far as i can see i will have to convert the .xsd file to a .dtd file to be able to use the definition file. I can't use the .xsd file directly - right?
How can i do this operation - transforming my .xsd file to a .dtd file in Data Integrator? Or do I need another tool to do this?
    Thanks for all answers.
    bi

No, you CAN use XSD file directly. in th URL for your xml file you specify in the /d= parameter the name of the DTD or XSD file which defines the file. No need to convert or anytthing else.

  • Data Integrator import XSD / DTD error

    Hi experts,
Really need your help here!  I am trying to import an XSD or DTD schema into BODI.  I have both the XSD and DTD which I generated from the XML source file, using Altova XMLSpy.  BODI is allowing me to select the root element, but when I run the import, the memory usage on my PC against the BODI service goes to 1.5Gb, after which the following error is returned:
Unknown error when importing metadata. (BODI-1112416)
When I clear this error and try any other operations in the DI Designer I get out of memory errors and I have to close down the application and restart.  I am running a 4Gb RAM, Intel Core Duo, Windows 7 laptop.  I suspect the XSD / DTD structure is simply to large for BODI to parse.  The XSD and DTD is about 500Kb in size and contain over 16000 rows when viewed in a text editor!
Any suggestions on how to process this XML in BODI will be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Johann

  • Merge xdp and xml to xfa form variable

Hi, I am new with Adobe Livecycle and xdp/xfa form management.
In my process I have a xml containing string data, I have also a xdp file. My goal is to merge them and stock into a xfa form so that it can be showed to an user GUI.
I know that RenderPDFForm service can merge xml and xdp into a pdf file. Is there a way to merge them into a xfa form file?
    Thank you.
    Damien.

It looks like I am back to square one.
DDX is part of the Life Cycle tool set.  As Far As I know, I am not working with Life Cycle here.
    cfpdfform
    Description
Manipulates existing forms created in Adobe® Acrobat® and Adobe® LiveCycle® Designer
I created my sample form with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Version 9.4.4.  Does that mean I have an Acrobat or a LiveCycle form?
ColdFusion supports two types of interactive forms: forms created in
Adobe Acrobat 6.0 or earlier, and forms created in Adobe LiveCycle. In
Adobe Acrobat Professional and Standard 7.0, Adobe introduced Adobe®
LiveCycle® Designer for creating PDF forms.
And if I do have a LiveCycle form, what or how do I get a DDX version of it?

  • IDOC - XI - IDOC scenario. I can't import XSD to Data Type

    Helo!
I have some problem with creating data tape. I have to create data type similar to IDOC structure which i imported from SAP system. Similar becouse in this DT I need to add some more elements. Becouse the IDOC structure is large I wont to import IDOC structure to this DT automaticly. I try to eksport XSD structure of my IDOC and then import to data type but i can read the monit:
The tag <element> is not allowed at <<xsd:schema><xsd:element><xsd:element>>.
I'm beginer in XSD so I don't now how to change this file.
Can somebody help me on that or explain whot I can do to make this DT.
    Thanks for answer!

    Hi,
U can import the IDoc XSD to External defination and use it in your Message Mapping and Interfacing Mapping.
There is no need to create a data type of message type for IDoc.
    External Defination
<b>External Definition</b> enables you to import a local WSDL, XSD, or DTD file to the Integration Repository and specify which parts of the schema to be used as a description for a message.
U can use this ED as
    1.Inbound/Outbound in the Message Interface.
2.Source/Target structure for the Message Mapping.
In a scenario If there is a necessitity for changing the Occurance of some segment of the IDOC steps u perform is.
    1.Import the IDoc to XI.
2.Export the IDoc(i.e XSD format) and save it to the local machine.
3.Make changes to the IDoc structure by modifying the XSD file in the local machine.
4.Save it as an XSD file Itself.
5.Import the XSD file in the IR under the External Defination.
6.Use this XSD in your Message Interface/Mapping which is same as IDoc structure but with some changes that u have made.
Go Thru this Blog <a href="/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/04/xi-idoc-bundling--the-trick-with-the-occurance-change Bundling - Trick without BPM</a> BY Michal Krawczyk where the Occurance of the IDoc is changed to 1...Unbounded from 1...999999999 by using the XSD.

  • XSD VALIDATION IN ABAP PROGRAM

    Hi,
I have a requirement where in a report i am picking xml file from the presentation server (desktop) and then i am parsing the xml file using FM "SMUM_XML_PARSE" (first i use FM SCMS_BINARY_TO_XSTRING and then SMUM_XML_PARSE). after using the function SMUM_XML_PARSE i get the xml data in my internal table and then my report uses that data for some processing. This all is working fine .
My issue is that how do i do a XSD VALIDATION for the xml file that i am reading . I would have liked to do a xsd validation after i import the xml file and throw error if the xml file is not as per its xsd.As i am not using any middleware technology like XI/ WTX which have XSD validation functionality i am not sure how to achieve this in abap program.

    Hi,
I think you're right, iXML can only validate DTD via its if_ixml_parser->set_validating method (you can find this information in SAP SDN article "ABAP XML Mapping", as of release 6.10, I couldn't find any other reference saying that xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation is supported since then).
By looking at SDN, I saw an external link about XSD to DTD conversion via XSLT (http://crism.maden.org/consulting/pub/xsl/xsd2dtd.xsl), but I don't have any idea if it works. On another thread, people used OS command to do XML/XSD validation, but didn't describe what they ran exactly (anyway, that means using any external tool).

  • Strange Character in XSD schema

    Hi all.
    I need your help.
I have a xsd or DTD with a colon in the element name. The schema is for the XMW flow (CCMS in Soltuion Manager)
When I try to import in the external definitions in PI the system remove the part oh name before the colon (in the original schema is CCMS_SAP:DataSupplierReport, in XI is only DataSupplierReport...)
Here you can download the files that I use.
[This is a RAR file with the template|www.chiaruz.com/CCMS2.rar]
    The colon ara MANDATORY...
Or who has imported the CCMS XMW schema in SAP PI?
    Thanks.

  • XDP - open PDF with #toolbar=0 problem in IE

    Hi
When opening PDF's using a correctly constructed XDP I specify at the end:
    <pdf href="some.pdf" xmlns=http://ns.adobe.com/xdp/pdf/ />
Everything works correctly in all browsers.
I would like to hide the toolbars so when I change the href to:
    <pdf href="some.pdf#toolbar=0" xmlns=http://ns.adobe.com/xdp/pdf/ />
the PDF opens but in IE the XDP data doesn't merge however, it works as expected in other browsers (data merge and toolbar hidden)
Has anyone else come accross this or know of a fix or workaround?
    Thanks for looking.
    Andy

Since your posting the XDP data to a PDF, you can merge the XDP + LC PDF using 3rd party tools, send the merged PDF to buffer (data is presented), and then pass the querystring parameter to the merged PDF.
    Example URL:
    http://www.url.com/mergeXDP.aspx#toolbars=0
If you are using ASP.net web servers:
    Check out www.fdftoolkit.net
    Web Examples:
    www.nk-inc.com/software/fdftoolkit.net/examples/
If you are using Java enabled non-MS servers, check out iText.
iText can merge XML/XDP with LC forms.
For more information Google "iText merge XDP XFA", or buy the book or e-book "iText in Action Second Edition".
