Xfce 4.8, drop hal: problem when extracting optical device

Hi,
If I umounted from thunar work perfectly.
If I extracting a dvd/cd with the phisical button in my pc xfce doesn't see that the device isn't insert.
Solutions?

Not sure about the overall solution but this problem has cropped up for me from time to time down through the years on several Linux distros. Having said that, does running "eject" from the command line pop open the disk?

Problem when extracting DataSource 0PAYSCALELV_ATTR from R/3 ECC6 to BW 3.5

We have recently begun upgrading to ECC6.0 from 4.7. We are still using BW 3.5. After upgrading our Sandbox to ECC6.0, we found a problem when extracting Pay scale level attributes using DataSource 0PAYSCALELV_ATTR. For some reason the table values are being multiplied by 26 by the extractor, which was not happening in 4.7. Therefore in our BW system, these employees salaries are being calculated incorrectly because the hourly rate coming from R/3 is already wrong. Please help!

Hi Surendhar,
Did you try to check the connection b/w ypur source system and the target system?
You can do it by executing T.Code RSA1-> Select Source Systems-> Right click your source system-> Check.
Also, pls check ST22 for any short dumps and SM21 for system logs.

Problem when extracting Smart Objects

I am having a problem when extracting Smart Objects.
I work for a small pre-press company. We are working on several computers using one Job Server. Some of these computers have different versions of OS.
For one of our clients the company uses Smart Objects as a precaution for moire issues. The child file stays a certain size, while the parent file is sized down for print. Our client has started to request the larger Child size image for their use. For the volume of images requested, I have made an action out of Photoshop to open the smart object and save out a flat tif of the larger child file image. Here is the problem...
At times the smart objects child file does not retain the name of the smart object layer as its being extracted. What could be causing the lost connection between the parent file name to the child file name, and is there a way to prevent it in the future?

Hello,
I have noticed that. The true problem is that the child files name starts out as the parent layer name, but then somewhere down the line it turns wonkie, starting to be named things like 12.psd etc. Please see attached. Your can't re-save the name of the child file either because all that does is save out a named temp file that does not get linked back to the parent file....so what is making the name change?

CSM problem when discovering a device

Dears,
i have CSM 4.2, i am facing a problem when i am adding one firewall, there is an asa 5580 between the CSM and that firewall 5510. there is the command fragment chain 1 INTERFACE where the 5510 is connected, when i remove this command from the 5580, the discovery works fine, in the logs it is saying that the packets are dropped due to fragment packets.. Any idea?

In the past I've been successfully deploying a few Ubuntu guest VMs, Hardware Virtualized (never succeeded to put up a Paravirtualized guest though) for testing purposes.
The latest version (10.4 maybe? Can't remember right now) worked without any sort of fixes or workarounds and was stable right away.
Previous versions needed a fix in the "grub.conf" file, and I had to put in a "NOAPIC" option to tell the kernel to inhibit some kind of interrupt events, I'm sorry I cannot be more specific but I can't remember exactly the real reasons behind the fix, I just know that without it I was getting a "processor stuck" error on the guest's console after a while, resulting in an unresponsive VM.
I see from your logfile that you have "APIC=1" and "ACPI=1", so maybe you'd want to play a bit with those settings and see the results.
My processors are Intel Xeon 5450.

Problem when extracting data from R/3 to BI

Hi Experts,
I am facing a strange problem. While i am extracting data from R/3 yo BI. One Infopackage is running successfully and i can see the data at Bi side. But while I am running another infopackage for another data source it is taking long time and at last loading results into failure.
I have gone through SDN also but not able to find any inputs.
I think it might be the reason with the Idocs. The error it is giving is
Request still running
Diagnosis
No errors found. The current process has probably not finished yet.
System Response
The ALE inbox of BI is identical to the ALE outbox of the source system
or
the maximum wait time for this request has not yet been exceeded
or
the background job has not yet finished in the source system.
Current status
All of the packets from the source system arrived
I am not able to see list of Idocs in sm58.
What might be the reoson?

See if its a full schedule it again by deleting any old requests....
And then when going thru job overview>in the sourcesystem>u can execute there itself and chk the status of the job...
If its no there then the job might have missed up due to some unfair reason....it happens sometimes also..some times it will be in scheduled only....once select all active/cancled/finished and so on...
And also chk under details tab...under extraction....whether data selection scheduled and requested and finished....????
If not there try to run it again and at the same moment monitor in source with jobname as BIREQU_* and select all input entries as canceled/active/finished......

'jverd' is right but if you are just trying to split the INPUT into a path + filename then why not just look for the last '\'. i.e.
int lastSlash = INPUT.lastIndexOf('\\');
String group1 = INPUT.substring(0, lastSlash);
String group2 = INPUT.substring(lastSlash+1);
As it stands, your example will not give you group 1 as \dir1\dir2. For that you would need something like
"((?:\\[^\\])*)(\\.*)"
to make sure you capure all the path in group 1.

CS5 Device Central Stage.width/Stage.height update problem when change the device profile.

When creating FL 3.0/3.1 app and testing it at the CS5 Device Central if you change the profile of the active device(select different phone with different screen size) Stage.width/Stage.height could't change. Always stays the same as the first device's Stage.width and height. Even if you add addListener with Delegate nothing happends. Also it effects to Screen Oriantation. It looks like a problem or is this a bug?

Having the same problem, though I can't get it to connect even once. I just started researching the problem tonight - no solution yet...
I'm on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Production Premium CS 5.5.
I've got no other internet issues, Adobe update works fine.

Audio Problems when setting default device

Everytime I try to set my headphones as the default sound device, my computer won't allow me to. I even tried to troubleshoot it, and it came up with the resolution of setting my headphones as the default device, but it failed to due to an error.
It only occurs whenever I use the program Mumble, as I am a gamer and I use it to communicate with my fellow gamers. So whenever I fire up the program, all other sound except what comes from it, goes to my speakers. I don't know if this has to do with the program Mumble itself, or the fact that I LITERALLY cannot change my default device. Please help?

Problems when i upgraded device softwareware

i just got a new blackberry 8900..after using it for a few days, i upgraded the device software...after the upgradation i realized that some of the previous applications were missing. for example, the factory installed games (poker) was no longer available. i tried using restore (advance) so to get a few specific apps added back, but havent been successful..can anyone tell me how i can download that game and other lost apps or how i can restore them..thanks

Problem occured when extracting archive-- student edition

Hi, I am trying to install the free student version of CS6 Photoshop on Windows 8. I downloaded both files, but when I try to run the executable one, I get the error message "Problem occurred when extracting archive, please redownload". Problem when using QT under xfce

I programmed a simple QT application under archlinux which uses xfce. I found this problem as the picture shows. It has two windows and left is the "fake" one which cannot disappear.
I tried same code under ubuntu and it works well. Is there anyone met similar problem before?

Huge speed drop and connection problem when answer...

About 2 days ago my internet speed dropped hugely and it's almost now unuseable. I've run a speed test and the results are below. Any idea on what to do to get this resolved?
Also, every time I answer a call or disconnect a call the broadband connection is los which is very annoying! Again, any ideas about thats causing that?

AndyMc what you have supplied is the wireless connection rate between the router and your wireless adapter this is not related to anything from Bt. This is the connection rate which I am sure would be related to a channel issue more than the connection dropping. Make the change and then disconnect and reconnect the wireless and notice if the connection rate changes. I am sure you will get some interesting results. A good little tool you can use is an utility called inSSIDer just do a google search and install that, it will show you where there may be a conflicting channel issue, the non shared channels are 1.6.and 11. If you need to diagnose the dropping connection problem then that is a different issue to the connection one.

Notification-daemon-xfce not working with hal

Hi,
I am using xfce-notification-daemon-svn from community and have dbus and hal running.
Now when i run notify-send "test" everything is fine and the notification appears.
But in Thunar i don't get any notifications (eg. when unmounting a device).
I looked into messages.log / daemons.log / errors.log and there was no error regarding dbus, hal or notification-daemon.
PS: I am running Arch64.
Does someone have an idea?

PS: I'm not sure of the actual OS level, but I have not allowed it to upgrade to Maverick yet; concerned about it because of a few things I've read...

A Safari extension or third party plugin may be causing the menu bar issue.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
As for which OS X is installed.
Click the Apple () menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac.
The version is noted there.
