XFCE: Pager broken after using compiz-fusion[SOLVED]

Hi, I had problems with my pager when using compiz and after using...
1. When using compiz the pager boxes(4) does not show but you can click on it..
2. After disabling compiz, my pager won't let me choose number of virtual desktops anymore...:(
Thanks in advance...this is my 1st time using compiz on xfce...

I solved the issue, thanks anyway...:D
On the compizconfig settings ---> General Options ---> Desktop Size
I had set this values on the ff:
Horizontal Virtual Size = 4
Vertical Virtual Size = 2
Number of Desktops = 4
Thats it!
Now I have a 2 column 4 workspace pager...

  • Window Handles Lost When Using Compiz-Fusion

    Well, I decided to try using compiz-fusion with LXDE, and as soon as I started up fusion-icon, my window title bars are gone.  Only way I can get them is by setting my window manager to OpenBox, but that means not being able to use compiz-fusion's eye candy.  Anybody know what to do to fix this problem?

    Got it figured out.  Needed to enable "move windows" and "resize windows" as well.  EVERYTHING is disabled by default

  • Gtk-window-decorator missing after installing Compiz-Fusion

    I just installed ArchLinux and wanted to try out Compiz-Fusion in Gnome. I installed it using the Compiz-Fusion wiki's instructions. Everything works fine, except that I can't use the gtk-window-decorator. After some research I found out that this file is missing. I checked out the Compiz-Fusion site, and it seems it ought to come with Compiz-Fusion. I checked in Linux Mint and found it there, so obviously it's missing in my ArchLinux box.
    Can someone please veryfy if it should be part of the Compiz-Fusion packages?

    Oups! I searched for 'gtk-window-decorator'.  It could be nice to mention these separate packages on the wiki Compiz-Fusion page. There are probably many out there looking for them.

  • Firefox has no title-bar/border in emerald & compiz fusion [SOLVED]

    I am running compiz-fusion in gnome with emerald as the window decorator and everything is working fine apart from firefox. When it starts up it has no title-bar or window border and appears to be in full screen mode (since nothing else is visible) but actually isn't. I have absolutely no experience working with window managers and am clueless as to what the problem could be.
    Can anyone help me?

    I've also found myself facing the same behaviour of the firefox window; I got bored of the F11 x2 workaround, and tried to start firefox from the terminal, to see if there were any strange error message.
    Magically, it started with the correct size, not covering anything it should not.
    And now it always open correctly from the usual launcher.
    Maybe it can be another way to try... for me it worked.

  • WHAT A LOW QUALITY KEYBOARD!!​! Broken after using for ONE day, what should I do????

    Hi guys~
    I've bought my first thinkpad x230 from lenovo offical online store and recived it on yesterday. I was very exciting when I receive this extreamely light and pretty notebook.
    -However, it not last long... After typing a series of numbers, the “5” key was automatically filped open!!! And I can not put it back again!!!
    -I can't understand why will this happen in such kind of well-known computer? I have never faced this kind of problem when I using those cheap keyboard!
    So, I wan't to know what should I do? I've contacted the tech support, she told me she will submit my problem to some guys and hopefully call me back, however, I didn't receive any call from lenovo.
    I've searched on google and found some guy's thinkpad also have this problem....What should I say? How bad luck I am or what a low quality of lenovo? Or both?
    Can I bring this poor quality thinkpad to the nearest retailer store to seek for help？ Or I should go to the official service center which is very far from me....
    BTW, in this case can I return this notebook for free? Or get a free repleacement of the broken key?

    You'll have to phone the service center and ask. (When I lived not far from Lenovo's Canadian service center and wanted to bring in a ThinkPad for warranty repair they said that would be OK with them but my unit would be put on a queue the same as if I'd shipped it in.   • Clearing Page Parameters After Use

    Whenever a parameter is sent to a page, either from a portlet event or otherwise, the parameter remains active accross multiple requests to the same page. This causes a problem in my particular scenario.
    Consider a root page that has 2 tabs. Tab 1 has a portlet that raises an event and populates a parameter that is passed to the same page for use by another portlet in Tab 2. This works fine the first time the event is raised. However, multiple accesses to Tab 2 by means other than the event need to use a default value. But this only works if the event parameter does not exist.
    Is there a way to set up my scenario so that the event parameter is cleared after its use?

    In your onchange event of the select list you can put some code like: onchange="javascript:$x('P1_POSTAL_CODE').value = '';$x('P1_ADDRESS').value = '';"
    Instead of the inline javascript you can also create a function in javascript and just call the function in the onchange event.
    I'm not sure anymore if it also works in 3.1.1 but in the latest version of APEX you can use $v('P1_POSTAL_CODE') = ''

  • Many pages broken after db9206 and as9041 patch

    We are running HTMLDB 1.5. We just patched our db from 9205 to 9206 and our as from 9040 to 9041. After the patches many of our HTMLDB screens (and many HTMLDB builder screens) are broken. Many screen widgets (dropdowns, buttons,etc) are returning page not found. They all seem to be generating this url: "host/pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept " That's the entire url, no more parms. We should have tested better before putting these patches on production, but here we are. We really need some fast help.

    We put in a TAR on this and support said: "I checked internally and confirmed that the 9.2.0.6 upgrade can cause the issues you are seeing. Patch 4015165 is appropriate. Note 295550.1 addresses this."
    We put in the patch just nnow and it does fix the problem. All you in HTMLDB-land be warned: this is a serious issue that rendered all of our HTMLDB applications - including the builder and admin screens - unusable. If you are planning on going to 9206, plan to put in this one-off right away.

    I recently used migration assistant as a data transfer, now I no longer have access to the 'stacks' documents, and when I open pages etc. it says I need to update it, even though I had installed them as a new app when I bought my computer... can anyone explain this to me.

    Software updates are made available from time to time, and one may have been released for Pages since you bought your computer.

  • [SOLVED]Compiz-fusion wallpaper plugin!!!

         i'm a newbie in linux, i would like to have 4 different wallpapers on each side of the cube, i tried wallpapoz, but im not satisfied. Finally i figured out that there is a plugin in compiz fusion, named wallaper plugin what can do this trick for me, but because Nautilus does not natively support multiple wallpapers, a patch is required for this plugin to work correctly when using Nautilus. And here is the problem. I found these patches:

    But these patches are made for nautilus & eel ver. 2.20.0, and i have ver 2.24.2-1 so i removed my eel and nautilus and made these operations:

    mv 02_compiz_background.patch eel-2.20.0
    mv 30_rgba_colormap.patch nautilus-2.20.0

    cd ../nautilus-2.20.0
    patch -p1 <30_rgba_colormap.patch
    ./configure && make && make install
    but after make install i get an error message. I tried with higher versions of eel but without success.
    Somebody can help me, how to use compiz-fusion wallpaper plugin on my Arch/GNOME sistem?

    This is my compiz-fusion wallpaper plugin settings. I disabled desktop-gnome-background-draw_background but my desktop became green, and no idea what i have done wrong . Any idea ?

  • Xfce4 panel fail to autohide with compiz-fusion

    Hi, all!
    I have been using arch for a few months, and I choose xfce4 as my desktop environment. But recently I am using compiz-fusion as the WM and the problem came: when the panel is set to "autohide", it won't appear whereever I put my mouse after it autohide. When I'm using xfwm, it all right. I don't know what's the issue, please give me a hand! Thanks a lot!!:)

    I have solved this problem by disable the "Desktop Wall" plugin.

    I am a convert from Ubuntu. I have succesfully installed Compiz Fusion. However, I don't like the Emerald theme manager. I would like to use the gtk decorator instead. How is that possible ? I am currently running Compiz by start the Fusion-icon

    There is a package in the community repository that provides this functionality.  I think it's called compiz-decorator-gtk.

  • [SOLVED]Compiz Fusion doesn't start!

    Hello,
    After an upgrade Compiz Fusion doesn't start. Normally I start Compiz Fusion with the command:
    fusion-icon
    But now it gives on a terminal the following output:
    fusion-icon
    * Detected Session: gnome
    * execution of "which glxinfo" failed
    * Error: glxinfo not installed!
    I searched with Yaourt on "glxinfo", but there is no package called "glxinfo".
    Could someone help?

  • [SOLVED] CCSM won't start after updating compiz

    I just updated compiz, compil-plugins-main, ccsm etc. and ccsm (Compizconfig settings manager) just dont start.

    Same problem after pacman -Syu (using XFCE).
    Not only compiz won't start, my mouse cursor is gone until I open some windows.  The window decorations have disappeared (minimize, maximize, close).  This is even after removing the fusion-icon from autostart in XFCE and rebooting (afaict, compiz is not running as a process when I list running processes with ps -ef).  Also having difficulty switching focus between open windows.
