Xfce4 Edit The Window Buttons Panel Menu?

Hi, new Arch Linux user here. I dabbed a little in Ubuntu and stuff before but finally took the plunge and wiped my WIndows partitions and started running solely Linux a few days ago. There's still a few things I haven't been able to work out (figure out how to run LoL and Photoshop, especially Photoshop - I tried GIMP and could not make heads or tails out of it) but worst comes worst I'll probably just install Windows to a USB or VM and run it from there when I need it (I do not trust myself to stick to Linux when I have a Windows enviroment dualbooted... lol).
Anyways, I was wondering if there's any way of editing how xfce4 displays the right click menu in its panel. I tried google but couldn't really find anything.
i.e.
Instead of:
Minimize
Maximize
Move
Resize
Always on Top
Close
Change it to simply:
Close
I find the first 5 options completely useless, the first 2 duplicating the function of just left-clicking the panel and the latter 2's function can be found with alt+space, and the final one I can just right-click the window's title bar to pin it to the top.
Anyways, it's just a convenience thing, I usually have a billion windows open at once and being able to close them faster would be nice. It's one of those things IMO the Windows superbar got right.

In the Animation Timeline panel menu "create frames from layers" is not showing.

I am watching a tutorial on basic animation and when it gets to the point where they say to open the "Animation Timeline Panel Menu" the panel that opens for me is not the same one in the tutorial. I am supposed to click on "create frames from layers" but that is not an option. I'm confused as to why my panel is not the same as the one in the tutorial.

It could be that you are using a different version of photoshop. Some of the older versions were split into two versions a standard version and an extended version, in most of those versions, it was required to have the extended version to use video editing features.
Perhaps you could tell us what version of photoshop you have and what operating system.

Edit the About Button

Hi again ... I am trying to include our company logo and
links in the 'About' button on the Main Toolbar. Working in
RoboHTML 6.0 with my primary output as FlashHelp. I've tried to
edit an existing skin and Edit is disabled. I tried to create a new
skin and have the option to create a customer WEBHELP skin or to
create a skin from the gallery. I chose to create a skin from the
gallery since when I tried to create a WEBHELP skin it doesn't work
in my FlashHelp. Once I've chose a skin from the gallery I'm asked
to provide a new name, which I've done. This simply drops the new
skin in the Project list and does not allow me to edit this new
skin. The new skin does appear in the output properties but I'm not
able to edit the About button in this view.
Any ideas on how to edit the About button on the Main
toolbar.

Let me fix something I said earlier
: You can change the "Powered By" part of the button
by opening wfres.xml in your output files (use a text editor like
Notepad). You would see a line that looks like this:
<item name="Logo/Author" value="Powered By"/>
Change "Powered By" to something else and save the file, and
that text will show up in your button. However, be aware that when
you generate FlashHelp again, your changes to this XML file get
overwritten. If you want the button text to remain changed, you can
keep the changed version of wfres.xml in another location. Then you
copy and paste it into your output directory after you generate
FlashHelp. (Otherwise, you have to go into wfres.xml every time you
generate FlashHelp and change this text again.)
Also note that what I said earlier about having to change the
.fla file for this button is still true for the "RoboHelp" or
"FlashHelp" part of the button. That part has to be changed in
Adobe Flash.
A little background on your question about changing skin
files: A FlashHelp skin is made up of multiple SWF movies. A .swf
is created using a .fla file, which is editable in Adobe Flash. The
.fla files used to create the FlashHelp skin movies are included
with the .swfs. When you create or import a Flash skin, RoboHelp
puts all the .fla and .swf files in this directory: <project
folder>/!SkinSubFolder!/<skin name>. If you change one of
the Flash files in this directory and export it as a SWF into that
same directory, RoboHelp will use that new version of the file when
you next run the FlashHelp output.
This means (to answer your question) that if you change a
.fla and .swf file in a particular project's !SkinSubFolder!, the
skin is changed for that project only. To use that same changed
file for another project, the safest way is probably to import the
entire skin into the other project.

I want to increase the size of the window buttons (close, minimize & maximize) because you have to navigate so precisely using the trackpad to use them...it'd be easier if the buttons were a little bigger. Thanks.

Is there any way to edit the standard Firefox context menu for displayed Web pages? I frequently want to save a picture appearing on a page. Sometimes I "slip" and hit "Send Image" when I want "Save Image As", and have to sit and wait for a default send-mail page to come up, then close it, fiddling with its "are you sure" dialogs. This is a painful way to handle a slip-up. I basically NEVER want to e-mail an element directly from a page. Is there any way I can just delete "Send Image" from the context menu?

I'm hoping you can help me with is, I'm about to tear my hair out! I'm using JavaScript in InDesign CS3 (PC). I have three heading scripts that I wrote that go through a series of actions when clicked, and I need to be be attached to the appropriate paragraph styles. This is so the user will receive a certain look and feel when they click the style, but they won't know a script ran at all, they'll think it's just another paragraph style.
I ran the menu id script from the InDesign Scripting Guide, and it says that the root ID should be "Paragraph Style Panel Menu", however, that is not working. HELP! How can I get InDesign to reference the existing Paragraph Style Panel Menu?

How can I edit the QuickPlay button on HP Pavilion dv6000?

I want the QuickPlay button for my HP Pavilion dv6936 to open iTunes instead of QuickPlay. I went to regedit, and once there, I'm stumped trying to figure out how to edit the path to the one-touch button I wish to edit. I tried "HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Mobil… but after changing the path of button 2, the one I thought was the correct button, there was no affect. Please help me fix this. I am running Vista.

Customizing the right button popup menu?

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to customize the right click popup menu in/for Labview.
I am build a vi with a graph on which you can right click, bring up a menu, select an item, and the graph will display a cursor at that location with the label you selected from the right click popup menu.
I would be grateful for any insight you might have into this.

I've a toolkit for this. It draws popupmenu's (at least on
Windows95,98,NT,2000).
The trigger can be anything (it's a boolean), so if you can catch the right
mouse button (using the events structure), you can create a popup menu above
it.

The window buttons (minimize, restore, close) don't operate, i have to minimize/restore from the taskbar for them to restore operation

I explained the behaviour in the headline question. There is a thread about this, but it doesn't have the solution, and has been reported for FF13.
This is FireFox 19, so it's been buggy, this is the 3rd support question I'm posting in the last two days. I've never done this before, but once, so it's not like I'm Mozilla Support fanboy, it's just that there are UI bugs that I have to deal each day, and there weren't these bugs before in earlier versions of FireFox.
There's something wrong going on, I hope you fix this and offer a quick update, because however much love I have for the FireFox it's just not working. I'm not gonna switch browsers soon, but with these UI bugs I'm bound to do it, if it doesn't get fixed.

I don't have ANY addons/extensions installed.
I see that I will have to completely reinstall Firefox from the ground up, but I'll have to reconsider updating policy, maybe not allow automatic updates.
This is not the first time an update has caused FireFox to stop functioning properly. And these UI bugs are really annoying, I mean window buttons not working? Lauch application dialog behaving as if it's in the background? And i didn't even mention that scrolling in the drop down lists isnt working also, cos I see there is no help for these bugs on this support forum, no matter how hard ppl are trying.
Thanks for all the advices though, at least you took your time and tried to help. I think there's no cure but reinstalling completely and I hate when I have to do it, with no error on my part.

Create an ODBC using java without using the windows controll panel

Hi, does anyone know if its possible to set up an ODBC connection to a MySQL database using a java program, or do these things always have to be made using windows from the control panel?

Mac OS 10.6.8. In address book I have tried to delete some groups (created when I created an account in mail which I then subsequently deleted). However in address book edit the delete button is greyed out.

I cannot delete groups in address book because the delete button is greyed out. I have deleted the original mail accounts which created the address book. I could just leave the groups there but the problem it creates is that address book tries to connect to the relevant server every time I open mail, then I get various error messages because it cannot connect. I found this link for a similar problem someone had with a Lotus Notes account. I used it to resolve my issue with a different email account (basically followed the same steps, and then looked for the particular account I needed to delete)... hope it helps!

Firefox opens but nothing shows/load in the window, not even menu buttons

I open Firefox & a window opens but nothing loads or shows up, not even menu buttons. Occasionally when you blindly click around some menus will open but options beyond that don't produce anything.
I have (not necessarily in this order):
Uninstalled Firefox, deleted all remaining folders, then reinstalled (twice).... didn't help.
Reverted PC back to before Firefox updated... didn't work.
Uninstalled, Debugged my PC, reinstalled.... didn't work.
Turned off firewalls & switched settings to make sure nothing was blocking it from working.... didn't work.
At this point, after surfing Mozilla support site & not finding anyone else having this exact issue I'm not sure what else to do. I love Firefox & want to keep using it (I HATE using Internet Explorer) but the only other solution I can think of is use Google Chrome or IE.
I have Windows 7, use McAfee, & SpyHunter. My laptop is less than 5 y.o. & I keep thing updated reg. so I don't think anything should be out of date or incompatible.

Currently in version 33, Firefox has implemented a new, faster way of loading webpages. This new feature is called OMTC. However, there are still some tweaks Mozilla developers are making to this.
There is a known issue that Mozilla works on very hard to fix: if you are experiencing black webpages on some sites, here's what you can do to avoid the problem in the meantime:
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
* Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]], click Help [[Image:Help-29]] and select ''Restart with Add-ons Disabled''.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".<br>

To disable Hardware Acceleration
* Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and select ''Options''.

I should also mention that other users with this problem had an embedded intel hd graphics card with an old driver present. Until Mozilla comes up with a fix, if you want Hardware Acceleration in Firefox, you can try to update your driver through the appropriate link below to see if that helps:

Firefox 4 hangs a little on every action - typing, moving the window, selecting a menu item, selecting a tab, ...

Since installing Firefox 4 RC2, and now Firefox 4, Firefox constantly hangs on every action. Just in typing this message, the program pauses for a second or two every few words. Opening a tab, selecting a menu item or even moving the Firefox window incurs a brief pause of a second or two. This makes the users experience terribly slow. I've tried turning off sync and starting Firefox with extensions disabled. Nothing seems to help. I upgraded from RC2 but then deleted and reinstalled Firefox.
I'm having this problem on my MacBook Pro, which is pretty new (less than a year old) and otherwise very fast (i.e., i7 processor and 8Gb RAM). I have the newest version of OS X (10.6.7) and have updated all extensions.
I've watched my system monitor and Firefox is constantly and repeatedly going from low to near 100% CPU use every few seconds. I have no special, unusual settings (I've gone through preferences).
This is getting so bad that I'm about ready to abandon FireFox. Any suggestions would be helpful.
