xfce4-terminal crashes when I'm trying to open it in separate screen without using "--disable-server".
I get this following error;

We can't know. You have not provided any system info, not told us what version of ID you use nor provided any specifics about the document like images, color profiles, fonts, paragraph styles and what have you...

When I open asian sites (like http://www.youku.com/ ), for some reason my xfce4-panel crashes. Probably any site that has asian symbols would crash the panel.
I started xfce4-panel in a terminal, and it prints the following when it crashes:
xfce4-panel: cairo-scaled-font.c:459: _cairo_scaled_glyph_page_destroy: Assertion `!scaled_font->cache_frozen' failed.
fish: Job 1, “xfce4-panel &” terminated by signal SIGABRT (Abort)
Is this some problem with my fonts? Because I get alot of squares instead of asian symbols.

This was happening to me too, but I think it was because of Russian characters.. I've now installed all of the ttf fonts and I hope xfce4-panel stops crashing

Crash when plugging in 2nd Screen

More often than not when I connect my iMac to my MacBook Pro's mini display port to use it as a 2nd monitor the MacBook Pro restarts. It's not a total crash. It doeasn't go all the way to the gray screen anf progress wheel the way it would if I forced a reboot.
It's more like an instant logout (losing any unsaved document changes) then an immediate log back in.
Any ideas what's causing it? I'm not sure if it started after a system update or not.
I don't want to update to 10.7 yet because my system is otherwise pretty stable and I have no idea if that would fix it anyway.

The single biggest reason for this is web cam software on your computer. If you have a web cam, try uninstalling it or disabling it. You can also look for updated software & drivers & see if doing that will stop your computer from crashing.

Sound "crashes" when working on second screen in Vi

Hi,
i've been having the following problems since the start of using Vista 32-bit, and it's bugging me a lot !
I have 2 screens connected to my PC, allowing me to play a video file on one screen while working on the other.
Sound card : Creative X-Fi Fatality (driver version : Creative - 6.0..304 - 22/02/2008)
As long as i stay working on the first screen (where the sound enabled application is running), everything works perfect.
But when i move to the second screen, after a short time (hard to replicate), the sound playing crashes. (usually with a lot of hard noises).
The only solution is then to start the "creative audio console", and switch f.e. between "Entertainment mode" to "Game mode" and back, allowing the sound settings to reinitialise. While doing the switching you sometimes hear sounds you were supposed to have heared before the "sound crash", as if they were still waiting in a queue.
Similar case happens when I pause a media player, work on the second screen, go back and resume : video file continues but the sound is gone. (that is typically without the hard noises)
I've been upgrading drivers (the ones from Microsoft and the ones from Creative directly), but the problem just doesn't go away.
Has anybody come across this problem, and even better knows how to solve this

When you are in Full screen mode move the cursor up to the top to show the Format bar. Then look to the far right. There you'll see Background and a rectangle. Click on the rectangle and change the colour.

4s screen flickering, keeps crashing when opening camera, then screen inverts

iPhone 4s, iOS 7.1.1
Screen has a line flickering through it, and the graphics also are starting to flicker. When I open the camera, the graphics invert to look like 'pop art', and then the camera crashes. When using other applications sometimes the app crashes, to a black screen and usually the graphics invert. The only way to rectify is to put the phone to sleep, then when i wake it up - its back to normal, until the next time...? Its becoming more and more frequent, and has been happening for 6 days now.

Try to set it up as new device, as explained in this article:
How to back up your data and set up as a new device
If it does not work after that, try again, this time without using the backup, in case it contains corrupt data.
If still no luck, get it serviced by Apple, the problem might be hardware related.

New iPad crashing when apps moved around screen?

When I move apps around screens on 3rd gen ipad it crashes and goes back to startup screen with apple in center. Please help

I have the same problem here. My experience is:
1. iPad 2 (3G 64GB) is turned on
2. Everything works, Spotify, other apps, etc.
3. Put my headset (in-ear + mic) into the iPad. The headset is Monster Powerbeats, in-ear.
4. iPad freezes
5. If I take out the headset, it stops to freeze.
6. If I put in e.g. Koss headphones (without mic), the iPad does not freeze. Neither does it with a Sennheizer in-ear headset with mic.
7. Tried to do a hard reset (holding down power button and home button).
7.1. iPad restarts
7.2. Apple symbol comes up, wheel spinning endless. Restarts by itself, and 7.2. starts over by it self.
7.3. If I take out the headset (Monster Powerbeats), iPad immediately starts as normal.
8. The Monster Powerbeats in-ear with mic work on my iPhone 4 without crashing / freezing........!?
To sum up: For me this seems to be headset specific. Even though the Monster Beats work with my iPhone 4, they doesn't work without a hazzle. Several times I find the buttons on the mic to not work, despite sound comming out from the in-ear plugs. I also some times have to take them in and out of the iPhone 4 to get them to work with the iPhone. Volume control seldom works though on my Monster Powerbeats anymore.
Seems like the iPad is extremly sensitive to headsets that are not 100% prestine.
Hope this helps some, but not the least Apple to do their part of the job making this work to the extent it is possible, despite the headset manufacturers not doing theirs making mure rugged headsets. Seemingly the iPhone 4 is accepting bigger "errors" than the iPad 2 at least.

Quicktime crashing when trying to save screen recording.

I have maverick on my iMac. I do screen recording and it crashes everytime I try to save the file. The report says

Anyway to save these files before I reinstall the system. I wish I had never upgraded to this OS.

Try to view the file with MPEG Streamclip or VLC.

Flash Player crashes when going into full screen mode

Hey guys! It's basically as the title implies. Whenever I am watching a video and attempt to go into full screen mode, flash player crashes and I get an error window reading "Adobe Flash Player 11.3 r300 has stopped working". As a matter of fact, it doesn't even happen all the time. It happens most of the time, however. It has happened even immediately after searching for and installing the newest version. What might be causing this and what can I do to resolve it? I am using Windows 7 32-bit and Firefox as my browser.

this may be hardware related. try unselecting "Hardware Acceleration..."
right click a movie or flash content and uncheck the box in the first tab in Settings. quit out of the browser and try fullscreen again.

Premiere Pro CC 2014 is crashing when i plug three screens on two graphic cards.

my mac pro (2010) is running with two graphic cards (2x ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB graphics).
Premiere Pro crashes always when i plug in two displays on one graphic card and one display to the other one.
when i unplug the third display on the second graphic card, premiere pro is working well.

Nokia 6700 crash when setting up 'Home Screen'

Okay,
I have already had my 'Home Screen' menu and 'Go-To' menu setup and working fine for over 6 months now with no problems.
NOW, when I want to add an Application to either of those menus (I will use the Go To menu for this example)
- I will click the 'Go To' button on the left of the 'homescreen'.
- Click Options
- Click Select Options
- If I click on the Applications folder (for me to select WHICH app to add to the shortcut menu, it will bring up a blank screen which I cannot exit from.
- The only way out is to reeboot the phone.
I'm starting to get frustrated with this now as it's been a good phone up to now (apart from my previous forum posts)
I look forward to hearing what you have to suggest.

Bought the 6700 on recommendation from the gy in Carphone warehouse (I know I should have known better...) I had the same problem, took it back to Carphone warehouse who sent it back to Nokia. Nokia couldn't fix it, I lost all my data and they sent me a new phone, That one is now freezing after only 3 weeks so I have to go back yet again to try and change to another brand as I don't have time for this. Nokia, you have lost all my goodwill and I won't be buying one of their phones again.

Crashing when screen saver launches

I'm getting random crashes when my system launches screen saver. Symptoms are the screen becomes very grainy, sometimes with scrolling horizontal lines, and the clock also freezes with the time of the crash.
This started right after going to 10.5.8. I re-ran the updater (combo) and the problem stopped for a couple of weeks but started again today.
I deleted Desktop preferences, but that didn't help.
Ideas, anyone?

Has anyone found the answer to this problem? I have installed and uninstalled flash player several times but whenever it instals my sytems preferences die, which is very frustrating. I receive the same message as Lazula.

Dreamweaver CS3 crash when intializing

Hi,
I am using adobe cs3 suite, my dw is not working properly it crash when initializing the initializing screen appears for a movement and then disappear. I tried different tips like remove the rename the dw configuration file as well as remove the dreamweaver 9 folder from the windows registry but didnt work. I am using windows Vista. Please help.

Not sure if you are having the same problem in Vista as I have but to my horror I found out that CS3 is not compatible with Windows 7. Seems to me that Adobe could have made sure that our $2,000.00 programs continued to work. Yes they are in the money making business but I never though they were in the rip off business. Good news though - for only $800.00 you can buy an upgrade. I have the trial version of Dreamweaver and really don't like it. Two options, have two computers - one outdated rickety old XP with CS3 on it and one wonderful Windows 7 that doesn't. That's progress?
