Xfi and vista nothing but sta

My older system broke awhile back and i built a new one, i was using on board HD audio but today i decided to put my old xfi card in my new system. I didnt put it in there in the first place cause drivers sucked and they havent updated them since may 30th so no change there. :P
Anyways my problem is kinda strange. After i install the driver and it asks for reboot i can say no and then play some music and it sounds great highs lows its all good. But after reboot its just static, starts right after the os loads. If i play music or games theres nothing but static and its very loud I almost had a stroke the first time. So some help plz?

Check that the Bookmarks Toolbar is visible and that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is still placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
If the menu bar is hidden then press F10 or hold down the Alt key, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" (Linux, Windows)
* Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items that are missing in the toolbar palette or on a toolbar then click the "Restore Default Set" button

Not sure why I did it but I had difficuylty with your drivers from teh web down loads so I purchesed your cd and had it rushed to me for 24.00 after paying what I paid for my card from creative and now paying to get new drivers I am disatisfied beyond belief at creative. From what I have read I am not alone. The CD software will not install I get an error before I even begin and the nightmare continues. Not sure what to do i think that I amy need to look at an alternate card source for all of my PCs from now on and stay away from creative. i have had my card for 6 months and nothing but trouble and limited functionality since day one. It is so hard to get support and the forum is not support. How do you get ahold of someone from this company to discuss individual problems so that you do not have to sift through a see of confusion?If your from creative andare interested in helping me past these problems with your hard ware and software let me know how to reach you.

You can contact Support via email by clicking "Support" and "Contact Customer Support." Let them know your issues and they should be able to help out. Alternati'vely there is the Creative Tutor service, also available on the Support page.

I cannot update, it just says its connecting to the server and does nothing but sit there.

(1) -Firefox keeps crashing for no reason. (2) -I am offered an update but when I say yes to update, the window shows that my MacBook Pro is trying to connect to the server. However, this goes on for hour after hour and never actually connects, or downloads the update. I have also a MacBook Air, which shows the same symptoms.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

Updated and now nothing but weird picture?

I updated my Apple TV and now all that shows up is a picture of my AppleTV being connected by some sort of USB wire to the iTunes symbol. What does this mean? I've unplugged and tried other methods that are supposed to reset this.
Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I don't understand and I can't seem to find my manual.

Hi Coronis, It’s a bummer that Apple gave our ATV units a bad firmware update and we have to go through the trouble of resetting the ATV device with a micro USB cable. It’s very aggravating, but I’m thankful for all the advice that was given over the Apple Support Community Site.
What you do is plug in the Micro USB cable from your ATV device into your Mac
and it will properly reset and update the ATV. You’ll have to do your passwords and other ATV setting all over again as usual after a reset.
A Micro USB cable is available at macmall.com for a low cost that should help those who don’t have one. You might be able to use a Micro USB cable that came with your cellphone as I did. Here’s link to the Micro USB cable at macmall.com. Hope this helps people.

I just installed the latest update on my iPhone 4 and now it's nothing but a white screen and my computer wont even connect it to my itunes when I plug it in the USB port. What happened?

I installed the latest update to my phone. Half way through it asked to connect to itunes. After updateing it had some type of error and wanted me to restore the phone. After restoring, another error box popped up and said that it could not be restored. Now it won't connect to itunes or my computer at all and is nothing but the black start up screen with the apple logo, or it's just a white screen. What happened?

DFU mode? How do I do that? So far the only thing I can do is hold down both buttons to power it on and nothing is on the screen and it wont reconize on my computer....

ATIKMDAG AND VISTA UPGRADE

Hello everyone I have had this card for 2 months now and had nothing but problems here and their. at a start of a game my screen goes black and then the games comes on and it runs fine but when i exit the game i have a ATIKMDAG error saying the "display driver has stopped responding but successfully recovered" I did mem test on my box everything is working fine it cant be getting to hot and i got updated drivers. Is it a bad card?
also i want to update my box with Vista 64 but when i run the Upgrade adviser tool to tell me if it would work with all my stuff it says this "

Ok i installed Vista ultimate 64bit and have installed the 8.7 drivers (64bit) for it as well
I personaly think it is a bad card but i could be wrong here is the error that windows gives me after the crash it also does it when it comes out of sleep mode.
I dont have a copy of xp the only copy i have is from my xps dell so i can't use it lol

Cal and Messages unresponsive BUT no beach ball

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, I haven't been able to uncover it.
I have a strange occurance with messages app and cal app whereby they are working, refresh etc BUT will not allow me to click and activate them. For example I see a new iMessage arrive but cannot click to open it. If I repeatively click eventually it works, but it remembers all the clicks and goes mad....
I have seen this also with Notes.app and Reminders as well. Once they are active not a problem, until I don't use them for a while again.
I am running a 27" iMac mid 2010 i5 running Mavericks. I use a trackpad and key board, both bluetooth.
Has anyone seen this before, know of a fix?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed, as well as certain other aspects of the configuration that may have a bearing on the problem. These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode, if possible. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing. Below are instructions to enter UNIX shell commands. The commands are safe and do nothing but produce human-readable text output, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. This time you'll be prompted for your login password, which you do have to type. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. Type it carefully and then press return. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
You can then quit Terminal.
To prevent confusion, I'll repeat: When you type your password in the Terminal window, you won't see what you're typing.
Note: If you don’t have a login password, set one before taking Step 2. If that’s not possible, skip the step.
Important: If any personal information, such as your name or email address, appears in the output of these commands, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.

T61 shows nothing but a black screen...

I'm working on a Lenovo T61 notebook, and shows nothing but a black screen with a cursor no POST no nothing. What could the solution to that? Please help it's agent...

take the out hdd first, and see what happens. Also you may want to take the ram out and then restart.

"It is quite possibly the hard drive is failing or has failed. The reason you can't get into the bios or boot from a CD/DVD is because the bios it hanging trying to recognize the hard drive. Try removing the hard drive and see if it will allow you into the bios or boot to a CD/DVD. If it does, go the hard drive manufacturer's support site, downlod their hard drive diagnostic ISO image, then use the burn from image option to create the self booting cd, then boot to it and run the most exhaustive diagnosis on it if it will boot. If you can't get it to boot to the diagnostic disk while the hard drive is installed you'll more than likely need to replace the hard drive.
If it won't get you into the bios or boot to a CD/DVD with the hard drive out of the system you need to try reseating the ram. If that doesn't help you probably have a bad motherboard. In this case it would more than likely be cheaper to just replace the laptop than fix it."
There is always the possibility that the new MB is bad. There's a reason it was on ebay

Trying to install iTunes 10.5 but wont install and it just seems to hang for several hours and do nothing. Need help cos otherwise I cant update to iOS5 on my Iphone 4. Thx

I have tried many times today to install iTunes 10.5 in order to update to iOS5 on my Iphone 4 however it just wont work. I have a MacBook Pro and when I use the software update it says that I have already downloaded iTunes 10.5 but when I go to install it and it says it is writing the files and the bluw bar is working its way across the page and then becomes very very slow and and at the last millimetre it seems to just hang there and do nothing. I even left if like this for several hours and nothing progressed. I have since tried to update via the iTunes program and the same problem happens. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

by "repair" I mean I went to the control panel, option - programs and features, and in the list of all my installed programs I selected "Apple Software Update". On top of the screen you find the options Uinstall, Change and Repair. I clicked the repair button and that did the trick. After the repair I could uninstall the program. I also uninstalled iTunes, Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support en Bonjour, thus all Apple programs. Then I installed iTunes 10.5 again and everything went fine.
